DISCLAIMER? nope, not here.
Hermione Granger picked her way delicately through the tall grass stalks, as if they would twine their stalks around her ankles if she wasn't careful. The cool September breeze tousled her wavy locks, causing them to cascade gently past her shoulders like a waterfall spilling over the boulders.
sometimes late at night,
i lie awake and watch her sleeping
Nearing a stone in the ground, she slowed down, coming to a complete stop in front of it. Bending down gracefully, she touched the rugged surface of the tombstone, flinching as her fingers brushed the cold marble. Her spindly fingers strayed down towards the grooves engraved, hot tears pricking the back of her eyes. She clutched the single white rose clasped tightly in her hand and carefully lowered it to the stone slab.
she's lost in peaceful dreams
so i turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
"Draco, why you?" she whispered hoarsely as tears slid down her pale cheeks. She closed her eyes and she could envision his white-blonde hair and his clear gray eyes, full of concern. She could feel his arms around her petite frame and his fingers tracing circles on her wrist.
and the thought crosses my mind
that if i never wake up in the morning
Hermione felt a wave of anger rising and raging within her as she remembered the way he was brutally taken from her side, even after all they had gone through just to hold each other's hand and be in each other's embrace.
would she ever doubt the way i feel
about her in my heart
It was exactly 3 years ago. The Dark Lord had risen and attacked Hogwarts, the students' sanctuary, where each and every one of the 2500 children knew they were safe. But on that fateful day, that belief was proven wrong. In an attempt to secure Hermione's safety, Draco had hidden her behind one of the many tapestries up in the Astronomy Tower, where he was certain she'd be safe. However, he had to fight alongside the infamous legendary Harry Potter and many other students. Hermione had sat behind the tapestry, sobbing and praying for Draco's safe return, clutching her crucifix necklace tightly in her palm and whispering pleads desperately. However, it was to no avail. Draco never returned. He had sacrificed his life for the rest of the students, fighting to the end, until the last joint spell with Harry and many of the students finally drove the Dark Lord away, retreating to the darkness, but at the expense of his own life.
if tomorrow never comes
will she know how much i loved her?
Hermione had been devastated. He had broken his promise, to be with her forever. But it's been 3 years now, and she knew it was time to let go.
did i try in every way to show her everyday
that she's my only one
She murmured a soft inaudible prayer and stood up in a swift motion. Brushing her hear off her shoulders, she spun on her heel and walked back. But something stopped her in her tracks. Her shoulders, once relaxed, tensed up and became rigid. But a sudden breeze whispered in her ear, and she could almost hear him whisper his answer to her prayer.
and if my time on earth were through
and she must face this world without me
Turning around and casting a last glance at he tombstone, she imagined his face, smirking lovingly at her. She smiled back, a tear sliding down her face.
is the love i gave her in the past
gonna be enough to last
if tomorrow never comes/
