One week after Liberation Day in the Kingdom, Tirulia, the eldest princess Melody, remained bedridden. Given the severity of her broken leg, she'd be bedridden for a good three to six months.
None of the family felt comfortable leaving Melody unattended. Therefore they'd resolved to remain on land until she recovered. Naturally, this concerned their deep-sea clan considerably. However, Melody's health came first.
Seeing how they couldn't visit Atlantica for the time being, Melody's sisters found others ways to entertain themselves. For Harmony? Given she suffered from anxiety, she coped with art. Harmony was an art prodigy. Any art she would blow your mind. Her imagination enabled her to cope with her stress, which boosted her self-confidence.
Harmony felt somewhat irritated she couldn't meet her art instructor under the sea. So imagine her surprise when her art teacher said he'd meet her in the cove for lessons. The young redhead sprinted down the steps, enthusiastic about meeting her instructor. Her mother caught her midway down the stairs. "Slow down, Harmony. We don't need you to break your leg as well."
"Sorry, Mom. I was just excited to go meet Little Evil in the cove for my art lesson."
"I'm delighted he'd arranged to come to the cove for your classes. Nevertheless, sweetheart, please don't run."
"Okay, Mom," as she made to move around her mother. But her mother didn't move aside yet. "Mom! I can't be late!" she whined.
"Not until we lay down a few rules."
Letting out an exasperated sigh, she nodded. "I'd like it if you'd Joan accompany you to the cove," referring to Scuttle's great-granddaughter. She'd been instrumental in liberating her father from Ursula.
"Yes, Mom," Harmony obediently answered.
"Don't stay out any longer then two hours. Then come straight home. Furthermore, if you even think your no-good uncle or remaining cousin is around? I want you to come back immediately," her mother accentuated. Then, with a shutter, she articulated why. "I don't trust them, given what happened to your sister. Furthermore, they're best known for being sexually inappropriate.
I don't want my ten-year-old daughter accosted by one of them. So if you sense them? Get out of there as fast as possible, understand, Harmony?"
"I understand, Mom. Joan and Little Evil will make certain I'm safe. Don't worry. I'll come straight home if there is any sign of danger. I promise," as mother and daughter hugged. Then, smiling, she allowed Harmony to pass, though her daughter unhurriedly went down the stairs. Once outside, she called for her 'babysitter,' and Joan emerged.
"Hello, young princess. What can I do for you?" the seagull inquired. The redhead grinned. "Mom like you to keep an eye on me during my art lessons with Little Evil," she explained, to which the female gull bobbed.
"Never fear, I'll keep you safe, little princess," taking to the sky leading the way to the cove. They found an easel set up with a shell as a paint pallet when they arrived. Vivacious paints were waiting to be used. Curled up around a slightly submerged rock was Little Evil.
The manta had grown to look nearly identical to his father. But, except with luxurious hair and no cheesy mustache, Harmony couldn't help but smile, given it was thanks to her mother, his father the Evil Manta reformed at all.
Thus allowing his son to have companions, plus improve his skills when it came to art. Currently, Little Evil was the Royal Art Teacher down in Atlantica. However, he'd never leave his prized pupil hanging. "Hey, Red, how are you today?" he questioned courteously, to which she grinned.
"I'm doing alright. However, my sister is still laid up. Everyone is on pins and needles waiting for my uncle and cousin to get booted, given their past sexual harassment?
It's likely to be any day now. For now? We're safe. My parents are tending to Melody while Aria has her music lesson right now. Either way, Mom would like me back in two hours."
"That's not a problem, Red. As you can see, I set up our lessons. We're going to do landscape painting today. Doesn't that sound like fun?"
"Sure does! Um, could you turn around? I'm getting into the water, and it's..."
"No, I understand. I'm not a pervert. Tell me when its safe to look," as the young manta ray turned around while obscuring his eyes. Harmony gradually submerged herself in the chilly ocean waters, taking a deep breath. Instantly the enchantment converted her legs into a sky-blue tail, with a cherry-red chemise covering her upper body.
None of the sisters acquired seashell bras when they transformed. Instead, they're clothed in chemise. The girls suspected it was due for modesty reasons. Either way, they're covered up more. "Okay, I'm in the water," she informed him so he could look. Then, seeing how everything was appropriate now, they got down to business, painting their surroundings.
Joan kept watching over their pair, determined not to fail in her duties. Things seemed okay for the time being. Then, roughly forty minutes later, Joan's stomach rumbled. The duo could hear it loud and clear. "Joan? Why don't you get a small snack? We should be alright for fifteen minutes. After that, go treat yourself," suggested Harmony to the gull.
"If you're sure?" Joan asked nervously. She didn't really want to leave her post.
"Yes, I am." nodding, the bird took to the air to get some nearby clams. Harmony turned to face her teacher, "How is my painting coming along, Little Evil?" she asked, tilting it towards him.
Examining it with a meticulous eye, he exclaimed. "Very well done! You even got the tiniest details accurate! I love how you've made the hues more vibrant! I'm sure your parents will be impressed!"
Harmony blushed, but she was forcefully dragged under the water before she could answer! "HARMONY!" cried Little Evil as he dove under only to be knocked unconscious.
Harmony was beginning to panic. Even if she was a mermaid? Their transformation ability failed if the girls were highly emotional, which means experiencing extreme emotions? Like how Harmony felt sheer panic? It'd cause her to switch from mermaid to human until she calmed down continuously!
However, being petrified while underwater? She might drown from being so terrified! Already her transformation displayed her hysteria! Something was hauling her down, and she couldn't get free!
Whatever or whoever was pulling her tightened their grip on her tail/legs—digging their nails and drawing blood. Then, even more alarming, whoever this was started groping her!
In the nick of time, Little Evil came too. He zapped whoever was attacking Harmony then dragged her to the surface. He heaved the young girl onto dry land, where her panic attack gradually subsided.
Joan arrived back at that time, noticing the child hyperventilating? She was determined to find who attacked her! She immediately spotted a dark figure scampering into the nearby brush. She took off after the cretin, calling for the flock's assistance to apprehend him. The flock managed to corner him. By this time, the commotion had caught the adult's attention.
They raced to see what the hell had transpired. To Ariel and Eric's horror? Harmony still hadn't entirely calmed down, despite Little Evil doing his best to calm her down. The parents quickly rushed over to their daughter to help her. Max barked loudly before hauling whoever did this by the seat of his pants. To everyone's disgust, it was Cousin Jimmy!
The fourteen-year-old looked quite pleased with himself. Smirking at both, the fact he practically drowned his cousin. Plus, he'd gotten his sexual deviant needs met! Everyone was beyond enraged, and before the day was over? Joseph and Jimmy were stripped of their titles, disinherited, and banished to the same land of exile as Barb and her daughters.
Again unquestionably, a look of revenge was etched on their features. However, taking care of their family came first for Ariel and Eric!

The Job of Being
There will be days when your favorite thing to do is nothing. Allow yourself to do exactly that. Some days being is your only job.
