Hello! Honestly, I completely forgot about this until the other day. But I figured no harm in continuing it. My writing style may have changed a bit from the past, but I hope you enjoy anyways :)

*the following may contain stronger language*

I slowly start to open my eyes, it is morning. Where am I? I am on a high end couch? What happened last night? I immediately push myself up to survey my surroundings. I am in a guest apartment in Ruby Sector, one for foreign officials. A single mug sits on the coffee table beside me, accompanied by an oddly curious twenty-one year old.

"Sheesh, how much did you drink last night? It's eleven." He sits down on the floor next to me, drinking his own coffee.

"Eleven?" I squint at him. I haven't woken up at eleven since I was sick, which would be twelve years ago. Aside from that time in the bunker when I was sixteen.

"I guess seeing your ex-lover or whatever you called yourselves can do that to a person." Eden continues without acknowledging my response.

"You certainly aren't as shy as you used to be."

"And you aren't as reserved." He fires back.

"Reserved!? I was hardly reserved, did you ever see me do anything?"

"I meant when it came to your words."

"Ah, I'll have to agree with you on that one." Day interjects. He too has a coffee cup in hand, matching his little brother.

"I was not reserved with my words!" I suddenly feel a bit defensive, and childlike. I feel like the past ten years never existed, as if I could go back to everything like it was the same. Like Day still remembered. I could feel my walls crumbling, my barriers breaking.

"Oh come on sweetheart, you were kinda reserved." Even though he spent ten years away, he still has his Lake Sector accent. Suddenly, I remember that Day and his smirk are not the only thing in the world.

"I have work." I curse slightly under my breath. "Sorry for being a nuisance, I have to go." I pick up my few belongings and walk out the door. And the walls shoot right back up. Good job June.

June hurries to leave.

"Sounds like somebody is flustered." Eden teases June through the door, I'm not sure she hears.

"Y'know you are kinda sassy." I poke at him.

"Sassy? I am just truthful."

"Loudmouth."

"Street rat."

"Woww, I see how it is, now we are turning our childhood trauma into jokes."

"As I said before, I am just being truthful."

"Ok smartass."

"Hey! It's not my fault that I am better than you."

"Whatever you say smartass." Eden just bares his teeth at me and walks out of the room. "We're going to Tess's so get changed."

"Why would I need to get changed?"

"Don't you want to impress your crush?" Eden nearly kills me. His cheeks turn bright red and his shoulders hunch up.

"I do not have a crush on her!"

"Whatever you say smartass."

"Daniel!"

"Come on, I want to have time to visit June at work afterward."

"Speaking of crushes…"

"Get changed!"

Of course Eden still had a crush on Tess. I could see the jealousy in his eyes and the slight blush on his cheeks last night. So predictable.
