Wednesday finally arrived. Today was water park day. Jessie was looking forward to this day, as her daughter invited her last week. It had been quite some time since the blonde MILF went to the water park.
"Hmm..." she said to herself, picking out a swimsuit to wear. She was torn between the plain purple one or the blue one with wave textures on it.
"Do I want to wear old purple passion, or the newer blue wave?"
She was very torn between the two. They were both really stylish, but she could only wear one.
Then, a thought crossed her head:
"Hey, why not both?" she said, putting the purple one on and shoving the other in her beach bag. She figured she could add a spare, if need be.
The blonde MILF looked through, making sure she had everything you'd typically bring to a water park.
"Let's see... swimsuit? Check. Towels? Check. Water bottles? Check. Sunglasses? Yep, got em." she stated, touching the top of her head.
"That should be it then. I'd better wait outside for Lola. She's supposed to be picking me up any minute now..."
The blonde MILF went outside, waiting on her friend. Lola had agreed to pick her up at around 12:30. They were meeting Tiffany at 1. Today was going to be fun.
She sat outside, looking at her phone. The flight attendant texted her, saying 'On my way.' Jessie figured she could look at old Bookspace while she waited.
Suddenly, she saw someone walking down the street. Someone she recognized, as he was in the same neighborhood.
"Hey, Vinnie." she said, acknowledging the beastly ginger man. He smiled and walked up to her, wondering what she was up to.
"Hi, Ms. Jessie." he greeted.
She chuckled. "Oh stop, please. You can just call me Jessie." she said, teasing him.
He grinned. "Right, right. Sorry about that. So, what's up, Jessie?"
"Nothing much. I'm just waiting on Lola to pick me up. We're heading to the water park today."
He nodded. "I could tell."
"Hey, I just wanted to say thanks again for minding the grill last week. If it wasn't for you, I probably would've burnt my house down."
"It was nothing. You don't need to thank me for that. I was more than happy to help." the ginger man said.
The blonde MILF smiled at him, thinking he wasn't giving himself enough credit. "Come now, you were more than just helpful."
He chuckled, dropping the conversation. But, Jessie wanted to talk about his maid.
"So, how's little Momo been doing?" she asked, referring the girl with cat ears that attended her party.
"She's been doing great. She's making good money with this house cleaning business she started. I'm glad she's finally coming out of her shell."
"I'm happy for her. It's about time she left her nest to soar the world, or whatever that saying is."
"Yeah, yeah. Though, I think she misses JD a bit. She talks about him sometimes. Wonder what's up with him?"
She nodded, having the same perspective as Vinnie. "I don't know. He's been acting strange lately. It's like he's hiding something. Tiffany even avoided the conversation at dinner last week. Maybe I need to spend a day with him, mother and son."
This really was a lot to think about. But, there's a reason for everything. Suddenly, Lola showed up.
"Look who it is. It's 12:31. You're tardy." she said, obviously teasing her.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Katz. I was held up by a one person at a stop sign."
She nodded, understanding her friend's reason for being a minute late. She got into her car, waving goodbye to Vinnie.
They drove to the water park, which was a popular place to go during this time of year. Despite a majority of the city being run down, the water park wasn't too bad compared to other places.
They entered, receiving their wrist bands. Jessie went through her bag, double-checking her belongings.
"Let's see... swimsuit, towels, water, and the sunglasses are on my head. Wait, did I forget something?"
The flight attendant leaned over. "Did you forget to bring sunscreen?"
Yes, that's what I forgot! I forgot the damn sunscreen. Shit...
"Yeah, looks like I forgot about that. Great, now what am I gonna do?"
Lola then gave her a new bottle of SPF 50. "I knew this would come in handy."
The blonde MILF smiled, thankful for her friend's responsibility. "Thanks, Lola."
"You're welcome. I told you I'd bring extra."
She applied the thick, creamy sun protection all over her tan body. They then went over to the bleachers where they were supposed to meet Tiffany and two of her friends.
But to Jessie's surprise, one of her friends were laying there, getting a tan. Her nerdy boyfriend was also there, being handed a tall glass with a lemon attached to it.
"Oh shit, Beli! Funny seeing you here." she said, acknowledging her Indian friend. Not only was seeing her there a surprise, but seeing her wear a familiar, REVEALING bikini was too. It was the same yellow bikini that had the words 'With Love' printed on the top piece.
"Oh, Jessie! What are you doing here?" she said, suddenly feeling embarrassed seeing her friend there.
"I'm here to spend some time with my daughter. We're here to have a super fun day a the water park."
She nodded, still slightly embarrassed.
"I see you're wearing that little gift I got for you a few years back." the blonde MILF said, pointing out the Indian woman's yellow bikini.
"Oh, y-yeah. I uh... I thought it would be good for the water park... Yeah." Beli said, feeling completely 'off balance'.
She knew she was insecure. But, Jessie was flattered that she'd wear that gift she had given her years before at the beach.
Simon then took a sip of his drink, but immediately had a sour look on his face.
"Uh uh... Beli, they messed up my drink." the pudgy nerd said, not sounding too pleased.
"How so?" she asked.
"I-I told them I wanted a Pina Colada and I said 'no salt', but there's salt."
"Oh come on, Hun. A little sodium can't hurt." Jessie said, trying to cheer him up.
"O-Okay but I didn't want salt and they gave me salt. I said no salt. No. Salt. I-I want them to fix it or I'm gonna set the place on fire."
She shook her head, wondering what was wrong with Simon. Suddenly, Tiffany and her two friends showed up, Nikki and Audrey.
"Oh, hi Tiffany." the blonde MILF said, greeting her daughter.
"Hi, Mom. Sorry it took a while. Nikki had some business to take care of before we left."
As soon as Tiffany pointed out her blue-haired friend, Lola IMMEDIATELY recognized her.
"You..." the flight attendant said, remembering this girl.
"Me?" she said, not aware of who she was.
"Yeah, YOU. You're the girl that always gave me trouble at Nutmeg Café years ago."
Nikki then remembered her. Fucking Lola 'Caffeine Freak' Rembrite. I knew it!
"Oh yeah, hey... It's been a while?" she said, trying to act like they didn't have problems before.
"Yeah, it has. So, where have you been? Did they finally lay you off for lousy service?" she asked, still aggravated at the multiple incidents they experienced.
"No, I quit and found a better job." the gamer girl stated.
"So, you walked out? Ha, that doesn't surprise me. So, tell me? What job did you get after you quit? I'd love to know!" Lola said, sounding like a bitch.
Nikki frowned. She knew that her current occupation wasn't exactly the most pleasing or believable. To people like her, at least.
"I uh... I became a streamer and I make merch." she admitted, ready for the whole 'livestreaming isn't a job' speech she'd get from her parents.
But Lola stopped, looking impressed. "Streaming? Merch?" she asked, wanting to know more.
"Y-Yeah. I stream online and get a bunch of donations. I also make merch, like shirts and hoodies and whatnot."
The flight attendant smiled. Jessie, Tiffany, Audrey, and Beli just sat there in silence. Simon was still upset about the salt in his drink. This was pretty awkward.
"So, you know how to design clothing, right?" she asked, sounding optimistic.
"I mean, yeah. I make the designs, then I have my printing company make the shirts. Why?"
Her eyes lit up. Her stern attitude suddenly vanished.
"So, I don't know if you'd be up for it, but how would you like to help me with a project?"
Nikki leaned in, looking open to this. "I'm listening..."
"My assistant randomly stopped talking to me and I haven't been able to find anyone else. I've been trying to run a fashion-designing business. But, it's been very difficult without her. So, would you like to be my new assistant?"
The blue-haired girl paused. This was a lot to offer her, especially considering they once had a rivalry after the multiple incidents during her days at Nutmeg Café.
"Tell you what: Here's my number. I'll call YOU and we can discuss the details. If not, you can call me. We're at a water park. Let's have fun today."
Everyone's jaws dropped. Never in their lives would they have thought that Nikki Anne-Marie of all people would give someone her number and say she'd call them, not the other way around. She was also more outgoing.
"We've got a deal." the flight attendant said, taking the scrap of paper and putting it in her purse.
Everyone decided to split. Nikki and Audrey went over to the lazy river, Lola went to the wave pool, Beli stayed with Simon (who was still holding the glass in disbelief. He really didn't like salt in his drink).
But Jessie and Tiffany decided to go to the water slide. That was one of her daughter's personal favorites.
"Come on, Mom." she said, going up the large flight of stairs leading to the top.
"Whew! I'm coming Tiffany." she said, getting exhausted. In a way, this felt like a real mother-daughter moment, but the exhaustion was still pretty inconvenient.
They eventually got to the top. The lifeguard was standing by the slide, telling the people when to go or not.
"This is so exciting." the blonde girl said, excited to go down the large slide. It felt like she was a kid again.
"Yeah, it's exciting. I just hope I don't get stuck." her mother stated, not a fan of big slides.
They got up there, Tiffany on the left row, Jessie on the right. The lifeguard looked down, making sure the others were out of the slide before they went.
"Race you down the slide." Tiffany said, sounding competitive.
"Bring it." her mother said, playing in to the whole race thing.
The lifeguard told them to go. The Mayes went, racing each other down to the bottom.
Jessie was nervous, but also felt the thrill. It had been so long since she ever went on a water slide, or even had a race with her daughter. She pushed herself to the limit, just so she could say 'Ha! I beat you, Tiffany!', something she wish she could've said over 20 years ago.
She ended up winning, as Tiffany slid down almost a moment after she was already in the pool at the bottom.
"Ha! I beat you, Tiffany." she said, teasing her daughter.
"Yeah, that was fun!" she said, sounding thrilled.
The blonde MILF won, but it costed her. It costed something she needed. As she began to climb out of the pool, she realized that the strap on her bottom piece had ripped on her way down the slide, revealing her privates.
"Oh shit..." she said, feeling exposed. Cheap-ass mayor needs to fix the water slide.
"Oh my God..." her daughter said, completely shocked at what had happened.
"Uh, Tiffany? Can you grab my beach bag real quick?" she said, kindly asking her daughter to do her a solid.
She nodded, rushing over to the bleacher to fetch her mother's bag.
This is so embarrassing. It'd be one thing if it was a bunch of men here, but there's little kids with their parents. I don't wanna expose myself. Not in front of them, at least.
Tiffany came back with her bag. The blonde MILF quickly found her blue-wave bottom piece and slipped it on, thanking god that nobody saw the old and worn out body of Misty Katz.
"That was close." she said, thankful that her daughter managed to get the bag on time.
"Yeah, it was. I think you should change your top too. It doesn't match." she said, pointing out that the purple top and blue bottom didn't match.
She nodded, going to a changing room and slipping off her purple top and replacing it with the blue wave one.
She came out, feeling so much better.
"Much better. I actually think the blue looks better on you." Tiffany said, complementing her mother.
Jessie smiled. Her little girl had a sense of style.
"Let's just chill in the lazy river now. That slide was enough action for me." she said. Her daughter agreed, following her to the slow, relaxing river.
They spent the rest of their fun day drifting around in the lazy river. They ended up running into Nikki and Audrey over there.
"Oh, hey Tiffany." the redhead said, greeting her friend.
"Oh, hi. So, this is where you guys have been?"
"Yeah. We were just hanging out, you know? Not really in the mood to party today. Just vibin."
She nodded, knowing her friend's recent change of lifestyle. Party days were over.
They sat there enjoying themselves.
Beli was still on the bleachers, trying to maintain her Indian tan. Simon eventually got fed up and went to go find a waiter or manager.
"I said no salt." he mumbled to himself. Beli just looked at him, shaking her head. He really was a handful, but she still loved him regardless.
Lola came back from the wave pool. She sat next to the Indian, as her nerdy boyfriend left his spot.
"So, Bel? How's life been treating you?" the flight attendant asked.
"Eh, it's been treating me fine, for the most part." she said, not sounding too enthusiastic.
She looked at her, knowing what was on her mind. "You still jealous of me?"
The Indian looked at her, feeling rather discouraged. "Not really of you. It's just..."
"Just what?"
She sighed. "It's just I'm having a hard time letting loose. You know I'm always so focused on my job and meditation, right?"
Lola nodded, completely understanding what her friend was saying. "I know, and I'm happy you have a job and can meditate."
"Y-Yeah... But, how do I be more like you? How can I drop responsibilities for a bit to let loose and not be so on edge?"
She frowned, feeling bad for her friend. This has been a problem for as long as she's known her.
"Don't try to be like me. Just because I'm good at managing work and fun doesn't mean you need to be like me. You do you. And don't do that for anyone, do it for YOU."
Beli nodded, somewhat understanding the point her friend was trying to make.
"So, I shouldn't let loose? I should just stay the way I am?"
She nodded. "Yes. If you don't feel comfortable with letting loose, then you aren't obligated to. You're your own girl, who has a boyfriend that seems to be accepting of you for who you are."
She smiled, also looking at her pudgy boyfriend in the distance, awkwardly holding the glass and saying 'No salt.' to everyone he could find.
"Yeah, you're right. He does accept me for who I am, and I did that for him in return."
Lola chuckled, kind of impressed at the somewhat odd pairing.
"Hey, he is a keeper. Weird, yes. But he's a good guy."
She nodded, agreeing with her statement. She got up and left the bleachers.
Eventually, it was time to go. Everyone went to the parking lot to say their goodbyes.
"I had a wonderful time today, Sweetie." Jessie said to her daughter.
"So did I. I'm glad we got to hang out today." she replied.
"I'll see you later. Have fun at work tonight."
Tiffany nodded. "Thanks. I will."
Everyone went home, pretty satisfied with the day they had. The water park was definitely a fun place to go, even if the slides were worn down and it costed her one of her favorite bikinis.
