Team Hot Air Chapter 40: Fights on All Fronts
Happy flew Lisanna to the basecamp. She slowly opened her eyes as he did so.
"Happy? What happened?" she asked. "Where is Natsu?" she asked.
"He stayed to fight against those guys! You were knocked unconscious so I had to get you out of there!" the blue cat said.
"Take me back now!" she said. "I have to help!"
"Natsu gave me orders and I'm not gonna let you get hurt. We're nearly to the base camp!"
Suddenly an explosion sounded from below. At the base camp!
"Uh oh! Looks like its under attack too!" Happy said.
"We have to help them!" Lisanna said.

Mirajane and Freed were the only ones left at camp along with the injured Gajeel. They were facing a heavily muscled man that had his abs showing through his shirt.
"Well, I hope one of you can give me a real challenge! I am Azuma of Grimiore Heart's Seven Kin!"
"So it seems six more of these people are on the island as well," Freed said.
"Oh we're not alone though. Master Hades felt we needed to bring a little extra help since Makarov and his grandson Laxus as well as your S-class wizards were here," Azuma said. "A few wizards from the Tartarus guild are here as well."
"This is bad," Mirajane said. "We're facing practically two dark guilds here!"
"Which of you will be my opponents?" Azuma asked.
"I will!" Freed said. "No one will harm Fairy Tail!"
Mirajane was unsure. She used Satan soul during her match against Elfman and Evergreen, and her magic energy had greatly lessened so she couldn't use that as often as she had before Lisanna's 'death'. Using demon soul takeovers required more magic then either of her siblings variants. She could only use the spell a maximum of about three minutes.
"Be careful Freed!" Mira said. "I'm not as strong as I used to be since I'm out of practice!"
"Then I will help you!" a voice came from above.
Lisanna suddenly swooped in on Happy.
"Lisanna! Stay back!" Mirajane said.
"I tire out waiting!" Azuma said. "Come at me! Or I'll come at you! One or all of you, it doesn't matter! I just want a good fight!"
"If it is a fight you want, it's a fight you're get!" Freed said as he drew his rapier.
"Aye sir!" Happy said.
Azuma's expression didn't change. He merely charged at them.

Likewise, many of the other Fairy Tail wizards had run into the enemy guild members. Wendy, Carla, Elfman and Evergreen had crossed paths with Rustyrose. Lucy, Levi, and Bickslow had managed to find Gray and Loke who were facing a goat man in a suit and shades. Juvia had run into Meldy. Likewise, Keyes and Kain were were wandering the woods of the island looking for foes or Zeref.
Ultear also wandered through the forest of Tenrou Island. She was so very close to him now! Lord Zeref! He would be the one to fullfill her wishes and return her life to what it should have been. She put a hand over her heart at the thought of her dream finally becoming a reality.
"Soon I will have found you at last Lord Zeref!" she said.
"You're looking for me?"
Ultear turned. "Who's there?"
He came into view. It was him. Her eyes widened as she beheld the legendary black wizard. She made the widest smile she'd made since she was a child. But it quickly turned to fear as she the look in Zeref's own eyes, which had turned from their former black to red.
"You are one of the ones sowing the seeds of conflict. You have made me very angry!" Zeref stated.
"Lord Zeref," she said.
"I will not involve myself in mankind's affairs. I do not wish war and death on anyone except two beings, one of which is myself!" Zeref said.
He does not wish for war? That can't be, Ultear thought.
"What… I don't understand."
"No you don't!" Zeref snapped.
"Is this your dormant state! You look conscious but you must be asleep still! We will awaken your true self with the keys! And then you can become king of the ultimate magic world, all I want in return is to be sent back in time so that I am not separated from my mother!" Ultear told him.
"I am not asleep!" Zeref stated. "Whatever you have heard about any keys to unlock my true self is nothing but a myth devised by a group of desperate fanatics!"
Ultear's eyes widened. "No… it can't be. Is what I wish for not possible?"
"As powerful as I am… I cannot turn back time. There maybe a way for me to do that. But I will not resort to it."
"Please!" Ultear begged. "I'll do anything!"
Before Zeref could reprimand her any further, the eagle helmed woman appeared and slash her across the back.
"Master Zeref!" Kyoka said as she bowed and drew the item she had for him. "We have found you at last!"
"Kyoka," he said. "You've brought the book of E.N.D. Good. I suppose the time has come than."
Zeref looked at the book, his "I wonder if Natsu has grown strong enough to kill me at last? I didn't get to measure his strength because Wendy prevented him from attacking me. But when I remove the seal on this book and order him to awaken he should become much stronger as well."
He took the book in his hand… as someone in the woods watched them.
"I've waited years to kill E.N.D. Now that time is finally drawing near." Silver Fullbuster said.
Well, once I'm really changing things up here! I had to change things up with the battle arrangements a bit though, with Wendy joining Elfman and Evergreen against Rustyrose, along with Freed and Happy being with Lisanna and Mira, and Bickslow with Lucy, Gray and Loke against Caprico. We'll see if the results will change! And where are Cana and Lily? Don't think it will be all easy for Fairy Tail, though it might be tougher for Grimoire Heart, especially since Tartarus betrayed them! How long before they learn of that and how will Grimoire Heart retaliate… if they can that is once E.N.D is awakened? I'm not sure whether it will similar to canon when he seemed to take over Natsu and made him go after Zeref before running into Gray in the Alvarez Empire Arc. I'm thinking of having Natsu transform and take on a more demonic form then just himself engulfed in fire, as I saw some people were a little disappointed in how he was built to be a real powerful demon but it wasn't shown. Not sure if its just Natsu or if there was some untapped potential he could have used like Fire Demon powers or something. Well I'll be making some new demon abilities for E.N.D here. Hope you guys like them.
I'm getting my schedule reworked as well. I used to have an internship day on Tuesday that allowed me to work on writing, this but that's being switched soon. So I may not be able to get new chapters out on Tuesdays or Wednesdays anymore but we'll see.
