Chapter 13
First Date
Ginny woke to the pleasurable feeling of Hermione laying on top of her and kissing slowly up her neck and jaw.
"Good morning my love. I have missed you all night," Hermione whispered. Ginny groaned and quickly grabbed Hermione's hips as she began to move sensually against her, "I've been thinking about you for hours," Hermione said and ran her tongue across Ginny's collar bone.
"Hermione….," Ginny whimpered as the brunette ran her hands slowly up her sides under her shirt. Ginny tried to shuffle back when Hermione grabbed her breasts and ran her thumbs over her nipples.
"Stop…Hermione, you need to stop," Ginny said grabbing the brunette's hands.
"Ginny, just make love to me," Hermione said.
"No. Remember we are going to Diagon Alley," Ginny said, trying to distract the brunette.
"On our date!" Hermione said happily and leaned up and kissed the redhead before jumping up out of bed.
"Yeah," Ginny said breathless. Ginny looked at her bedside table and smiled seeing her brace there. She hadn't put it there so she knew Hermione must have. Ginny began putting her brace on and strapped it tight.
"I made you breakfast," Hermione said coming in with a tray. Ginny smiled and looked up at the brunette.
"Thanks, but you don't have to do that kind of stuff, Hermione," Ginny said feeling guilty.
"Ginny, I just want to make you happy," Hermione said and pulled the redhead back into a kiss. The brunette slid her tongue across Ginny's bottom lip and the redhead groaned and allowed Hermione to deepen the kiss and participated.
"Are you sure you don't just want to stay and make love to me, sex god?" Hermione asked against the redheads lips.
"I'm definitely not a sex god Hermione…especially not anymore," Ginny said as she backed up and moved to the other side of the bed.
"Ginny do….do you not love me?" Hermione asked as if the thought had just occurred to her and was so painful she couldn't bear it. Ginny put her head down into her hands.
"We need to go, Hermione," Ginny said, standing up quickly trying to avoid this conversation. Ginny gasped and cried out in pain and reached forward holding onto the wall.
"Baby! Are you ok?" Hermione asked worriedly and rushed over.
"This entire situation is monumentally fucking up my knee," Ginny said and leaned against the wall with tears in her eyes. Not even sure if the tears were from the ache in her knee or the ache in her heart. Hermione stood in front of her and slowly wiped the tears from her face.
"I'm sorry, baby. I feel like this is my fault. I want to make you happy, but I just keep hurting you," Hermione said. Ginny leaned forward into Hermione's arms trying to accept some of her comfort.
"This isn't your fault, Hermione. None of this is your fault. Everything that is going on is my fault. I know you're confused and don't understand, but I'm going to fix this. I promise," Ginny said and stood up, slowly walking to her closet. "Are you ready to go?" Ginny asked and Hermione nodded as she put a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "Have you been up all night?" Ginny asked.
"I slept a little, but I couldn't stop thinking of you," Hermione said and looked away.
"Because of the potion," Ginny said. Hermione looked sad for a bit.
"Probably," she whispered.
"Everything is going to be alright, Hermione. I'm going to fix this," Ginny said and began to change quickly. Ginny felt extremely uncomfortable changing since Hermione watched her the entire time.
"I like feeling this way," Hermione said.
"It's not real, Hermione. You will be happier when you fall in love for real. I know the potion makes you think you love me and want to please me, but it's not real. I can't make you happy. I'm literally broken. You don't want to be with me," Ginny said pulling a pair of trousers up and fastening them quickly.
"Ginny, I want to take care of you," Hermione said. Ginny shook her head.
"I don't even want to be in my own life, Hermione. You really wouldn't be happy," Ginny said as she pulled her long red hair up into a pony tail.
Hermione looked away sadly, Ginny sighed and leaned against the side of her closet. She looked back up at the brunette and frowned seeing Hermione wipe a tear from her cheek. Ginny moved forward and pulled the brunette into her arms.
"I'm sorry, honey. We don't need to talk about this right now. Let's go to Diagon Alley," Ginny said and kissed the side of Hermione's face. The brunette nodded. "We're going to have fun," Ginny said teasingly trying to cheer the brunette up a bit. Hermione smiled lightly.
"Let's go," the brunette said and they apparated to the Leaky Cauldron.
"Woah, Hermione, a little warning next time. I already have a bum knee I don't need to lose an appendage by getting splinched," Ginny teased. Hermione smiled.
"Let's go to the apothecary," Ginny said and took Hermione's hand and they made their way to the store. The two walked into a large room with rows of shelves covered in ingredient jars. Across from the door sat a clerk behind a counter.
"Hi, we need some Ashwinder eggs," Ginny said once at the counter. The clerk began to look at their paperwork.
"Baby, I'm going to go check out another store for a bit," Hermione said.
"That's fine, Hermione. Just be safe, ok?" Ginny said.
"I will. I'll meet you back here in a few minutes," Hermione said, then leaned up and kissed Ginny's cheek. The two smiled at each other and the brunette walked out.
"I'm sorry, we are currently out of stock. We will get some in on Monday," the clerk said.
"Dammit, we need it now. What about your store in Knockturn alley?" Ginny asked. The clerk went back to the paperwork.
"No, sorry, both the Hogsmead and Knockturn Alley locations are out, as well. It's not a very common ingredient," the clerk said apologetically.
"Could we order some?" Ginny asked.
"It would still be Monday until you get it, but we will send out the owl first thing in the morning," the clerk said.
"Thanks," Ginny said and began to scribble an order for as much as an owl could carry.
Meanwhile, Hermione walked into Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment.
"Hello. I'm looking for something for…someone I care about," Hermione said, realizing Ginny wouldn't consider herself Hermione's girlfriend. The brunette tried not to feel hurt by that thought.
"Something like a trinket?" the clerk asked.
"Maybe a necklace or bracelet?" Hermione said.
"This is really nice," the clerk said and pulled out a beautiful necklace that had a reddish stone set in silver. "It's a carnelian in silver. Carnelian is a stabilizing stone, it restores vitality and motivation, and stimulates creativity. It gives courage and promotes positive life choices," he said.
"That's sounds nice and it's beautiful. Can I get something engraved on the silver in the back?" Hermione asked.
"Of course!" he said.
Ginny stood outside the apothecary waiting for Hermione. She was beginning to get worried, she didn't even think about letting Hermione go to a different store. Under normal circumstances she could do that easily, but under the effects of the potion….Ginny didn't know what she would do.
"Hey, baby!" Hermione said and ran to the redheads arms. Ginny gasped as the brunette ran into her and would have fallen if she wasn't already leaning against the wall. Hermione reached up and pulled the redhead down into a deep kiss.
"Hermione," Ginny said in protest.
"Sorry," Hermione said and leaned back and wiped her bottom lip a bit. "Did you not get anything?" Hermione asked, seeing Ginny without a bag.
"They are out…..Hermione, I don't know what to do. They won't have any more until Monday," Ginny said.
"Everything is going to be alright, baby," Hermione said and ran her hands up and down Ginny's chest.
Ginny sighed and put her hand on her head. "Let's go home," Ginny said and took Hermione's hand, "Going to apparate," Ginny said, Hermione smiled and nodded.
The two arrived back at Hermione's home quickly. "So, since we can't make the potion until Monday, could you spend the weekend making love to me?" Hermione asked, taking Ginny's hands and backing towards the bedroom. Ginny resisted.
"Hermione…we can't," Ginny said.
"Ginny, I don't understand. You don't have a girlfriend and I'm not seeing anyone. Will you just touch me…please?" Hermione asked and softly kissed the redhead.
"Hermione…," Ginny whimpered as the brunette pushed her down onto the bed and straddled her, kissing her slowly. "We shouldn't do this, Hermione," Ginny said but felt her resolve weaken.
"I want you so badly, Ginny," Hermione whispered and kissed the redhead deeply. Ginny slid her hands into Hermione's hair and pulled her closer.
"Bloody hell," Ginny whispered as Hermione pushed her back onto the bed and slid her hands up the redheads shirt.
"Ginny..touch me," Hermione said and leaned back and grabbed the redheads hand and put it on her breast. Ginny groaned and massaged Hermione's breasts slowly. Ginny leaned up and kissed the brunette softly.
"Gin….I love you so much," Hermione whimpered. Ginny leaned back onto the bed and took a deep breath. The redhead put her hands on her face. The words stabbed into her brain like a knife. She knew the brunette didn't mean it.
"We can't do this, Hermione," Ginny said, sitting up. She lift Hermione up and to the side.
"Ginny," Hermione protested as the redhead stood and made her way across the room and out the door. Hermione stood and followed.
"Stay there, Hermione," Ginny said, turning around.
"Ginny. Please. I'm sorry," Hermione said, voice full of emotion.
"Hermione, you haven't done anything wrong. It's all me ok. You are amazing. I am going to go and lay down in my room. My knee hurts really bad and I'm just…I'm upset," Ginny said as she made it to the door of her room.
"I'm sorry," Hermione said. Ginny sighed.
"Everything is going to be alright, Hermione. I'll fix everything on Monday," Ginny said and closed the door. She went and laid down on the bed and grabbed her wand, quickly locking the door so she didn't wake up to Hermione laying on top of her again. The redhead closed her eyes and wondered how she was going to make it through the weekend.
