TOMB RAIDER: 2013
Endurance Plymouth
"A famous explorer once said that the extraordinary is in what we do, not who we are. I'd finally set out to make my mark; to find adventure, but instead, adventure found me."
A very powerful thunderstorm was out there, in the open. Lara got up from her bed to check what was actually going on, just to fall on the floor, hitting her head on the floor.
She passed out, waking up a few moments later, when the Endurance was now divided in 2 parts, and Lara was obviously on the one that was sinking. She eventually swam trying to find an exit, only to pass out again, this time underwater, while she was banging her hand on a small window made out of glass and steel, until she drowned.
An unknown figure lifted her up, and as she woke up, she saw Roth gesturing for her to jump on his side of the ship.
She took a deep breath, starting to run seconds later, jumping for her life and screaming. Roth eventually got a hold of her, but not for long, infact, her hand was wet and slippery, caused by the rain that was pouring down. She left Roth's hold, falling down into the water. She passed out for the 3rd time, until she woke up again, finding herself on a beach. As she barely got up, she heard familiar voices from further. "Reyes!!. *cough* Jonah!!.." As she fully stood up, the butt of a rifle hit her in the head, causing her to...yeah.
*radio crackles* "Echo 3-1, what's your status?" *rc* (*rc= radio static crackle sounds)
*rc* "Echo 3-1, Sabre to Raven, the house is clear, I'm proceeding to find the hostages." *rc*
*rc and other communications* "Raven to Sabre, eyes open 3-1. Raven out." *rc*
As 3-1 opened the main door, he found dead bodies everywhere, he was checking the house again. It was dark, and he wasn't wearing night vision goggles.
When he got out, he could swear to God that what he was hearing was a fucking convoy. A russian one.
Needless to say, 3-1 got killed by the turrets.
*rc* "Raven to Sabre, come in." *rc*
*rc* "Raven to Sabre, do you copy!?"
The blonde haired operation was walking fast into the headquarters, followed by Nomad and Midas. "What do you mean Bodarks' are active again!?" Nomad asked as he stopped right behind Karen.
"Bowman." Midas said, as she was not responding.
"Bodarks are back again, they're probably looking for some sort of revenge. You got 'em pissed." She simply said.
Nomad turned around as to say 'shit.'
"How?" Midas asked her.
"A convoy. 'Echo 3-1' from the Sabre team, he..he got...his body-cam showed 3 automatic turrets on a bulletproof ATV. Russian."
"Does Mitchell know about this?"
"No.., I don't know!." She almost yelled.
"Well, there's something we can do. Call Cpt.Price, do what you have to." Nomad said as he left the room, going into the lockers.
Section (Jason) walked in, noticing Nomad was walking fast, as if he was mad.
He opened his arms, like 'wtf man?' then headed to Bowman and Midas.
"What was that all about?" He asked.
"Nothing, you just rest for this little amount of time. We got this."
"You sure?" Section asked.
"Yeah, don't worry about it, J." Midas said.
Section walked away, eventually.
TWO DAYS LATER
Jason walked into the Ghosts' headquarters, this time not to discuss what coffee machine works the best, but to get in action once again.
He just had to wait for one of the operators to fill him in on his next mission, so he sat on a chair, swinging around, clicking a pen multiple times.
Suddenly, something on a nearby screen appeared: Ghost 046 Section, requested immediately. The message was repeated multiple times in a fast amount of time, until Jason clicked the screen, showing Jim, one of the operators.
"Hey." Jason greeted him.
"Section, long time no see! Well, let's cut to the chase, no time to lose." Jim checked some papers, then looked back at the camera.
"..you got a hostage situation, my friend! A radio tower from an asiatic island reached the whole world. A plane has been sent, but it got destroyed by something. We believe it was a storm or something like that, no rockets were shown by the black box of the plane."
He continued to fill Jason in on the situation, letting him know the coordinates of the Island.
A certain 'Triangle'.
"When our team hacked the black box, it let us know that who sent the SOS was a girl, british accent, said her name was Lara Croft, and she was on board a certain Endurance Plymouth."
"Ok, thanks. I suppose you'll guide me out through this adventure." He said with a smirk.
"Me? Oh no, there's Bowman for you. But you will not be alone. Holt will be your partner through this."
He nods, then the screen turns black again.
As Section walked onto the heli platform, he noticed the pilot and Holt, who was tying his shoes.
He sat in the chopper.
As the chopper was authorized to leave the headquarters, it went towards Asia.
" Dragon's triangle? Funny name for a hostage rescue trip." Holt's voice echoed into Section's headset.
"Yeah. It's like the Bermuda's Triangle in Florida." The pilot said.
Section was quiet, looking at the horizon, until a strong vibration was noticed by the 3 men in the helicopter.
He lifted his head up, to see what that was.
"A little bit of 'turbulence', that should be fine.", The pilot reassured as he got further.
As an island appeared in front of the chopper, the pilot spoke again: That should be it! Prepare for launch, we're not risking a landing like the plane before us."
"3...2...ah fuck!" The storm was heavily pushing the helicopter into the ground.
"Juump!" The pilot said, trying to keep the heli steady, while Holt and Section jumped.
"Don't die on me, pal!" Section said into his mic.
Sadly, an explosion followed.
"Fuck! *panting*..are you good?" Holt asked.
"Yeah..and you?"
"Still in one piece.. let's land by that wooden building..do you see it?" Holt asked again.
"The one with the 2 levers at the sides? Yeah I think I got this. We'll rejoin there." Section muted his mic after that.
"I'm about to land."
"Ground touched." He answered.
"There you are..what a start for the Ghost Lead, huh?" Holt joked.
"Yeah, well, let me contact Bowman."
"Ghost Actual, this is Section. We made it on the island, but the chopper crashed. No signs of the pilot, we're going to scout the place to see what we can find."
*rc* "What a welcome you got there..let me know if you find anything."
"Section out."
The two Ghosts' walked along the shore for a few hours, looking for the pilot of the helicopter, but nothing apart from smoke could be really seen.
"2-6, do you copy?" Holt tried to establish a radio contact with the pilot, who was nowhere to be found.
Section was staring at him, waiting for an answer.
He didn't get any.
"Well, we can't waste anymore time, let's go. We have 0 clues on where this british girl is or where the Endurance sank. All we know is the location of the radio tower." Section explained
"Are we going there?" Holt asked.
"Affirmative."
Lara walked in a helicopter, looking for medical supplies. She had a wound in her hip, so she had to treat it. She opened a box, finding a can of painkillers, but it was empty, so she checked the pilot's pockets, only finding a lighter.
She sat down, not willing to do it but ready, so she set fire to the arrow's head, and she pressed it into her wound.
*screams* *cry*
"AHHA, HHAH, AAHHA"
She finally walked out of the helicopter, knowing that if she died, it wasn't thanks to the wound.
Section and Holt finally made it to the tower, and after securing the perimeter, they got inside a room, with a journal on the table, and a wall, revealing the big radio tower. Needless to climb that thing though.
"Now what do we do?" Holt asked his Ghost Lead.
"There's nothing much to do. We just have to find some clues." He simply explained to his partner.
"Clues...like..that journal? It's the only thing I can think of.."
As Section opened the journal, he read a date in it, then several bullshit about a Queen of this island, which he found out it's called Yamatai.
"Heh, look at this: Nothing comes in or leaves the island. Funny!" Section joked about the nonsense he read.
"Tsk. Who could ever think that's real?" Holt said as he was looking outside the big hole that was in one of the 4 walls.
"Though this journal talks about a shanty town, in the nearbies. We should look for it. Doesn't say where to, but a town on an island should be easy to find. Let's go."
[keep in mind that Section is Jason (OC)]
The pair of them walked into the woods for several hours, just a break, a short one, and they were back on looking for this town.
