Monday morning came and Paige Micelchuk was at her locker checking the miniature mirror she kept attacked to the inside of the door. Spirit squad competitions were coming up and she was set on not just being at her best but looking her best also. She was broken out if her trance when she heard someone say her name.

"Hey Paige." She turned around at the mention of her name. It was Emma Nelson.

"Hey how you feeling this morning?"

"Better than I have been...thanks to you."

"No pressure but have you thought talking to the school counselor? She was a big help when I had to...well you know."

"Would you go with me?"

"I can do that."

"I really appreciate this."

"When it happened I felt alone and messed up too, I don't want anyone going through that alone." Emma ran up to Paige hugging her, after a moment of being surprised by this Paige awkwardly hugged her back until she heard Emma make a gagging noise.

"Are you okay?" She said breaking the hug.

"Yeah yeah, just my stomach, I better go." As she turned to hurry away Paige was still focusing on her behavior over the weekend.

The bell rang for first period which for Emma was computer immersion with her step father. Mr Simpson, aka Snake, was up at the front of the class trying to teach a lesson but Emma couldn't focus. Her mind was to focused on this eventual meeting with the counselor. She wasn't hesitant at the idea but if she was able to help Paige get where she was maybe it was worth a shot.

Eventually lunch time arrived, Emma decided to skip the line and just go right to the table. As she did she heard someone call her name. "Hey Nelson, get over here we saved a seat." She heard Paige call. She went to join her and the other cheerleaders sitting with her, Hazel, Manny, and Darcy.

"Hey Em we were just going over ideas for the new routine. Manny exclaimed.

"Manny why don't you and Hazel continue this conversation. I'll be right back." As she got up to leave she whispered to Emma "bathroom now, we have to talk." Emma got up and followed. As they entered the bathroom the first thing Paige did was check the other stalls, when she saw no one else she turned back to Emma. "Okay Emma what's going on?"

Emma stammered over her words briefly "wha-what do you mean?"

"Saturday night I was there, I heard your constant bathroom trips to throw up and Sunday morning and everything today still, I also know what happened a few weeks ago.

Emma just continued to stare worriedly.

"Emma if not I will drop this and never bring it up again but is there a chance you could be..."

Emma didn't answer immediately her eyes teared when she finally did she was on the verge of crying "No...no...please don't say it."

"Pregnant?"

"No no no no no I can't be!"

"Why not?"

"Because if I am it means it's that psychos baby!"

"After school I'll come by, I'll bring you a test if you want?"

Emma didn't reply, she went up to Paige and hugged her while crying on her shoulder just like she did a few days before. The bathroom door opened and Manny walked in awkwardly looking at the scene. "You we're gone awhile wanted to make sure everything's okay..." she said also awkwardly. "Is everything okay?"

"Emma do you want to tell her?"

"Today after school be at my house I'll tell you then."

"O-okay..." she backed out of the bathroom.

Once school ended Emma and Manny were riding along with Snake back to Emma's house. Emma did her best to try and be calm but she was sure Snake was getting suspicious. They finally arrived home after what seemed like the longest car ride ever. Emma told her parents they were getting a start on a huge load of homework that they'd probably be downstairs awhile.

"Okay so spill it, what's going on?"

Emma explained everything that happened that day just like she did to Paige. She explained what went down with Paige in the bathroom and that she would be over soon also. As of on cue the upstairs door opened and Paige descended the stairs. "Feel like taking a test? Only one question?" She said in an attempt to try and cheer her up. Emma took the test and went into her rooms bathroom. Manny and Paige both had issues with each other but for now they tried to put those feelings aside. Emma came out of the bathroom with the test laying it on the bathroom sink counter.

"Just got to wait 3 minutes."

They three of them sat around waiting until the ding from her phone alerted them time was up. Emma approached before turning around.

"I can't do this. Can one of you read it?"

Emma sat back down on the bed with Manny, holding her hand. Paige walked over to read the test. As soon as she read it however a small disappointed expression crossed her face. "Oh...sweetie..." she held up the test to show the pink plus sign.

"NOOO!" Emma hollered as she could no longer holdback the tears. Manny pulled her into a hug as Paige set next to her doing the same.

"We are going to get through this, together" Paige assured her.
