Emma was waiting impatiently in the doctor's waiting room, even before her current situation something about these rooms that made her own edge. Her mother meanwhile was flipping through one of the magazines laying on the table.

"I just want to get this over with. I'm tired of waiting."

As if on cue the nurse came out and called her back while her mother followed. Sometime later they both exited the office back to the waiting room.

"If you have any questions please don't hesitate to give us a call."

"Thank you, we will keep that in mind, right Em?"

Emma didn't say anything, what she had seen back there on the ultrasound left her speechless. Her face locked in the same shocked expression when she learned what was happening. The car ride home was very long and quiet, atleast for Spike, Emma didn't even notice how much time had passed.

"Emma I know what we learned today is shocking but we're going to be fine, we'll get through it somehow." Her daughter didn't reply or even make any indication she was listening. Once they arrived home Emma went straight down to her room, not even acknowledging Snake when he asked how it went. As soon as she made it downstairs she texted Manny.

Emma: hey you want to come over and hear about the ultrasound?

Manny: hey sorry I can't right now me and Craig are at the movies, was about to turn the phone off.

Emma: ok well talk later

Before she could think what to do next she got another notification.

Paige: hey how'd it go today?

Emma: not great

Paige: I'll be right there

About ten minutes later Paige arrived scrambling down the steps in a panic.

"Okay tell me everything but first are you all okay?" She said making a pointing motion to Emma's stomach.

"Yeah, we're all okay...all three of us."

"Three?"

Emma sat up on the bed placing a hand on each side of her stomach. It took a moment for Paige to process what she was implying.

"Oh hun..."

She expected Emma to breakdown similar to what she did weeks ago when she took that first test but instead her face had the same blank expression.

"Ever since this all started it's like I can't catch a break. Not enough what happened that day but then Sean leaves, STD from Jay, and then it's not enough I'm carrying the monster's baby but now two!"

Emma collapsed on the bed, Paige moved over sitting down next to her.

"I feel pathetic like literally every inconvenience causes me to have a breakdown like this. What happened to me?"

Paige placed her hands on Emma's shoulder forcing her to look at her.

"Emma. You are not pathetic. You were raped. That is something no one should have to endure. I was there, it was over a year ago but I was there and had the same problem. Plus you're pregnant. Your hormones are all as Manny would say 'cookoo bananas'. That's something very few people our age are prepared for. Right now you got both these things working against so it's okay if you get upset easily. But I promise eventually you'll be back to the old cause girl fighting for things most of us didn't even understand."

Emma didn't say anything but her blank expression faded. She sat looking at Paige as she spoke, her expression was more concern or worry but she was emoting now.

"What do you say we go maternity clothes shopping this weekend, since you're going to need them a little sooner then we thought?"

"Sounds pretty good actually."

"Just think, this time next year we'll be getting ready for these twos first Christmas." She said enthusiastically placing her hands on Emma's belly.

Authors note: so I'm currently staying with sone family while my house is being renovated slightly and since the only other thing I brought with me was my Switch there's a possibility they'll be few more than usual uploads this week.
