Emma was laying on the hospital bed with Sean by her side holding her hand. She was barely able to contain her excitement. The doctor had put that gross cold gel stuff on her stomach along with the machine hovering over her but her attention was on the screen showing off the ultra sound. The doctor had told them how both twins looked to be healthy, she would need to go on protein supplement if she was set on staying vegetarian but otherwise the babies looked good.

"One if them is being obscured behind the other but we can tell you for sure one of them at least is a girl."

"A baby girl!" Emma screamed happily tears of joy forming in her eyes.

After the appointment the two walked back to Emma's. She carried the picture of the ultrasound smiling at it.

"Can't believe it, a baby girl."

"She has half your DNA she's going to be such a heartbreaker." He said kissing her on the forehead.

"Maybe we'll actually have a girl in this family graduate before having a kid."

"So who do we tell first?"

She didn't reply immediately, the smile on her face faded as she started to talk "I think we tell the family and Manny for now, I don't want it getting out right now."

"Why not?"

"It's only been two days since..."

"Paige...?"

"She just lost a baby, it would be a sore subject for her right now."

"How's she doing?"

"I don't know, she hasn't been in school and whenever I message her I just get generic replies. Worried but also don't want to bother her with endless texts, I'm sure she's getting enough of those."

Later on they made it back to her house and headed to the basement. Emma was finally finishing her health class paper, she had done the research it was just a matter of typing it out. The TV was on in the back but neither paid much attention.

"Bet you're glad to finally be done with it."

"I spent all that time getting upset at my body and what it was doing, I feel bad about it now because as sick and gross as it made me feel at least mine are safe. Whatever happens I'm doing my best to remember that."

"Guess it kinda puts things in perspective, huh?

"I didn't realize how lucky I've been until I saw how much it hurt her."

"I mean sometime we need-"

"Shhh shhh! This is my favorite part of the movie!" She said quieting him eagerly turning her attention to the movie on the TV.

"I'm dying. She would have no one. She would be alone." The pale character on the tv cried.

"She wouldn't be alone." The other dying character said comforting him.

"Overall I just thought this was weak compared to the other movies." Sean said to her.

"But look at this scene. He's willing to take in and raise the daughter of his enemy as if she was literally his. Just like a certain other big, strong, handsome hero type I know."

"Protect her, protect my Love." The tv continued on.

"I guess when you put it like that it does have some worthwhile parts."

Paige was still laying in her bed. She had barely moved from it the last 2 days since she came home from the hospital, she hadn't even told her parents the full extent of what happened. So many emotions still running through her head it was making her physically sick. Sadness at what had happened, guilt over what she was contemplating before it all, anger at herself for tripping like that. She just wanted the thoughts to stop even if it was just for a little while. She opened the drawer to her night stand, in it was the same bag that Matt had given her when they broke up. She rolled some of the contents into the paper before lighting it, she knew this wasn't the best way of handling her problem but after everything she had lost recently she just wanted something to shut that voices up.
