Jewel's pov

Dad had taken Jord to the Fortress to get a full scope of his powers, and Mom was working with Chrissy on some story. That left Jon and I at home. As far as Jon knew, Jordan was the first of us three kids to show powers, and the only one. He had no idea I had been hiding my powers as far back as when we still lived in Metropolis. He had no idea I was the girl he was fantasizing about, Dad's so called sidekick. I had been tempted on more than one occasion to tell him, even if just to get him to drop his little crush, but, especially with Jordan's new developments, I did not want to make him feel left out. I also would be lying if I said I was not even a bit nervous of how my triplet brothers would react upon discovering another secret had been kept from them, by their triplet sister no less. And I never kept anything from them before. Except for crushes, because they were pretty overprotective. Jon broke me out of my thoughts

"Do you think we'll ever get powers?"

I drew a somewhat shaky breath, not wanting to lie to him, but also not wanting to have to break it to him that I had been gifted with powers eons ago. Also, I would have to break it to Jordan that he wasn't the first Lane-Kent with powers, and it would have been so much easier for me to kill two birds with one stone... But that was not an option. At least this will get rid of his little infatuation with the Red Blue Blur... I looked him in the eyes, biting my lower lip

"I do think you'll get powers someday. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already, didn't Dad say Kryptonians were like solar batteries? And you've always been outside..."

He caught on to what I had left unsaid

"Thanks. And yeah. But, do you think you'll get them too?"

If only I had the power to become invisible... Here goes nothing. I sighed

"Jordan wasn't the first to get powers. I was. Long before Dad even came clean to us. I've had powers since before we came to Smallville, back in Metropolis. I operated under the alias Red Blue Blur there for a year. I got my powers, identical to Dad's, when we were 13. I'm sorry, Jon. I didn't tell you or Jordan because I was scared and confused, and seeking answers. And then when I got the answers, I didn't want you guys to feel bad because I had them and you didn't..."

He sighed

"Now Jordan has them... And I have nothing. Maybe I never will. Not to mention I was saying those now disturbing comments about the Red Blue Blur... And it was YOU. Gross!"

At least we agreed on that. He sighed

"So, you and Jordan are just like Dad. Congrats."

I knew being the only one without powers was eating him. That's one of the reasons I did not want to tell him and Jordan to begin with. I put my hand on his shoulder

"I'm sure you'll get yours soon. Maybe it's like growth spurts and stuff, coming in all different times..."

He scoffed

"Or don't come at all..."

I sighed, trying to find a way to make him feel better, but coming up short. Finally I asked

"Is there anything I can do?"

He shot me a tentative smile

"Hot chocolate? Please?"

I was more than happy to oblige, making myself some too. I soon joined him back on the couch, both of us nursing our beverages. Once more, my brother broke the silence

"So, your daddy-daughter date... It was pretty soon after he came clean to us. Did he know of your powers and take you to the Fortress that day?"

I nodded

"Yeah."

He sighed

"I wish I could go... But I could never survive the Arctic."

I shrugged

"With regular thermal clothing and Dad to warm you up, it's totally safe, powers or not. And the temperature inside can be regulated. You should ask Dad to take you. Powers yet or not, it is still your heritage, Jon."

He hummed in contemplation, and then I heard whooshing noises still far away, but approaching. Seeing my tilted head and concentrated look, Jon asked

"What is it?"

Taken out of my concentration from using my super hearing, I startled a bit, then turned to him

"Dad and Jordan are nearby. A few miles out, they should be here soon. Nothing on Mom yet, though."

Realizing I had used my enhanced senses to back up my claim, he smiled a small grin

"That's so cool that you can do that."

I felt the need to help him realize it was not always sunshine and rainbows

"Most times. Not when I can't turn it off and end up hearing, seeing or smelling things I would much rather not have. Your lucky football socks after a game being just one of many examples on the super-smell area. And I could smell that from blocks away."

He playfully punched me, and that's when Jordan and Dad came in, Jordan looking confused and crestfallen

"You have powers like Dad? How long? I wasn't the first? Why didn't you tell us?"

This is exactly the reaction I had been fearing and trying to avoid. I sighed, ready to explain myself again

"I didn't want you guys to feel upset that I had powers and you didn't. I got mine in Metropolis, when we were 13. Before moving here..."

He gasped

"YOU'RE The Red Blue Blur! Dad's si-"

I cut him off, having grown quite annoyed with the word sidekick

"Partner. Yes. I take it your super senses are coming in, at least your hearing?"

He nodded, more placated

"And smell. I know you made hot chocolate, I smelled it halfway here. May I have some?"

I happily gave him a mug, as well as Dad, and I could tell from the look on his face that I had gotten Grandma Martha's recipe just right. In a few days, the town would be celebrating the first Harvest Festival since we moved here, and Dad was already talking about it and making plans, having loved this festival and its meaning to the community since he was a kid. He even tried to clear his schedule of all work related things, on all fronts, so he could enjoy the night. It was like that every time we came. Except for this would be the first year without Grandma, the heart and soul of the town. The festival was hitting different for everyone this year, but it still made my Dad happy to see how many people had donated clothes, food and other things to the community. Dragging me out of my thoughts, Jon spoke

"Even I'm pretty excited for the festival. I'm taking Eliza. I'm so excited that she's gonna be able to come visit in just a few days!"

We were all excited for him, and for Jordan, whom Sarah had invited as her date to the festival. She had dumped Sean a while back. Wise decision. Jordan and Sarah were even going to the festival separately from the rest of the family, to have some time for themselves. Due to car shortage, Jon and Eliza couldn't go on their own, but would no doubt disperse from us as soon as they possibly could.

TIMESKIP

The day of the Harvest festival had arrived, and Eliza was due in a few hours. I was so happy for Jon. I then heard footsteps clamoring down the stairs annd assumed Eliza had come earlier than planned and that the noise was Jon getting ready to get her. I was partly correct. Jon WAS the one making the stampede, but Eliza had broken up with him and obviously canceled the date and the trip in the process. Ouch. Trying to comfort him, I spoke

"Jon..."

Ever the selfless one, he interrupted

"You don't have to worry. Let's get going."

Yeah, he wasn't ok. He could tell no one was buying his little act either. He forced a small smile to his lips

"Seriously. It'll take some time, but I'll be ok. You guys go on ahead, I don't want Jordan to be late meeting up with Sarah. I'm gonna change into something that wasn't given to me by Eliza, grab some stuff to donate and meet you guys there. Is Mom meeting us there with Chrissy? They were on their way to check on a development on the Derek Powell story, right?"

I nodded

"Yeah, she's meeting us there. And the development is something about Derek acting weird and no one knows why..."

Dad spoke next

"Ok. Jordan, Jewel; let's go. Jor, I'll drop you off at Sarah's. " he then turned to me "Then you and I will head to the festival and wait for your mom and Chrissy." then he turned to Jon " And you better join us soon."

He nodded

"Yes Sir".

And with that, we were off. We dropped Jordan off and then headed to the festival.

Lois's pov

What Chrissy and I witnessed about Derek Powell was borderline insane. And I don't use that word lightly, so you know I mean this was crazy. Before we could interfere physically with whatever was going on with Sharon Powell's son, we saw him make a phone call, and, hand on my beacon I was this close to making a call of my own, to my husband. Anyway, Derek called this woman Leslie Larr, who flew to him. More powered people, yay. Bask in the sarcasm. Upon a better look, I internalized a slew of complaints, getting closer to contacting Clark. Leslie Larr was one of Kara's archenemies, and was a Kandorian that had made her way to Earth. That was it. I pressed the beacon's button.

Clark's pov

I heard the noise instantly, as did Jewel and Jordan. My son shot me a look, silently asking if he needed to tag along, but I whispered, knowing he'd hear me perfectly fine

"Stay with Sarah and enjoy the night. Your sister and I can handle this."

He thankfully smiled, understanding I wasn't rejecting his help or playing favorites, I just wanted him to be able to have this night with Sarah. And with that, the Red Blue Blur and I went to rescue the one and only Lois Lane. We swooped into action once Lois and Chrissy were in a safe place, landing in front of Derek and Leslie, who promptly recognized the coat of arms on our chests.

"The House of El... I've never liked you prideful little snobs."

I had to resist the urge to roll my eyes, a fight my daughter lost. I can't say I blame her. Jewel took Derek to a safe location while I battled Leslie, imprisoning her after a decent sparring match. However, not without loss. My daughter had to fly Derek up , up and away, because he was becoming unstable, having my powers by the use of X-Kryptonite by Edge. However, it was too much for his body, and he decided to sacrifice himself, knowing he was a danger. He self-destructed using his heat-vision. Leslie also took hers for a spin, burning down the location that held all the donations for the festival, attracting Kyle and his men to the site of the fire and causing my daughter and I to fly away and out of view. All the donations were ruined, or, at least almost all of them. What were we going to do? At least Lois, Jewel and Chrissy were safe, and Leslie was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone once more.

Jon's pov

I knew that I had agreed to meet up with everyone soon at the festival, but the loss of my relationship was starting to become too much. I knew exactly what would make me feel better, if not a bit envious that my siblings got to partake in this side of Dad. I went to his secret bunker and began to look through all his cool memorabilia and super suits, in awe of it all. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a beautiful crystal and could not resist the urge to touch it. Big. Mistake. I soon found myself in a desolate place, but I could breathe. All was silent and dark and cold, and I thought I was alone, and definitely had zero idea of where I was. That is, until I saw someone I definitely recognized, albeit from afar. General Zod. And then I saw Feora. And Leslie Larr... But worst of all, the last Phantom Wraith. The one known as Bizarro, who went as far as impersonating my Dad once upon a time. Was I really in the Phantom Zone?
