Jon's pov

Unbelievable. I was actually stuck in the Phantom Zone. Alone. With a ton of my Dad's enemies... greeeeat. And the only thing that could help, the crystal of El, serving as a gateway to escape the Zone, was nowhere in sight. But somehow, I was managing to survive. That is, until a meteorite started coming my way. This is not exactly how I thought I was going to die, but, I guess there were worse ways.

I braced myself for impact, inwardly saying my last goodbyes to my family, when the projectile hit me. But I felt nothing. Instead, much to my surprise, not only was I left unharmed, but the projectile crumbled into an infinite amount of tiny particles. I had strength and invulnerability... Maybe being in the Phantom Zone, in a state of peril, unlocked my latent abilities. Awesome! I then decided to test if I had heat vision or Arctic breath like Jordan, both of which I now possessed. He was right, it did feel like having wintergreen gum in my mouth at all times. My speed emerged soon after, and I really couldn't tell if I had x-ray vision, due to being in a plane of existence where I couldn't possibly test that. Then the Zoner known as Bizarro came after me

"New powers, huh, Jon-El? Let's see just how good you are at managing them..."

He cackled evilly, probably being able to tell I was not actually ready to fend off the most powerful Zoner having just discovered my abilities. And this Zoner could potentially take me over, he's taken over my Dad before... If only he, Jordan or Jewel were here...

Jordan's pov

By now, Jon had been gone for a while, and we were all worried. Mom's contacts had not seen him, Jewel patrolled on foot with no luck, and Dad found zilch surveying from above. Not even in Metropolis. I tried tracking him through his phone, no luck. Suddenly, Mom screamed

"Clark!"

Alarmed at what had caused such a scream, Jewel and I joined Dad around Mom, who fearfully held up the crystal that could transport people to the Phantom Zone. It had been touched by someone else. Dad spoke up, voicing what everyone was thinking and fearing

"Oh my goodness, he touched it. He's there."

Mom, who was usually so fearless and collected, teared up

"Go get our son."

My sister and I spoke at once

"We're coming too. The more people, the better."

Before our parents could stop us or say anything, Jewel and I touched the crystal while grabbing onto Dad, effectively making our way to the Phantom Zone.

Jewel's pov

Once we got there, the first thing Dad did was open his mouth to rebuke us for what we had done, by coming with him. But before he could get a word out, Doomsday and Zod cornered us. That's two against three, even if Jordan and I are still learning how to control our abilities. Jordan moreso than myself, as I had had powers for longer than he did. Dad spoke

"Go with your brother. You both keep each other safe, try to find Jon. I'll deal with these two."

We were a bit hesitant to leave Dad in the minority in the fight, that would become a 2 on 1, with Dad getting the short end of the stick. Nevertheless, he persisted, so we went to try to find Jon. Halfway through trying to find our brother, we came face to face with the General's right hand. Not Grandpa Lane, obviously. Zod's right hand, Faora. Knowing that Kryptonians could harm other Kryptonians, we unleashed our heat vision on her, and she collapsed, knocked out. That's when his voice rang in our ears, close by, nonetheless

"Jordan! Jewel!"

Jonathan. Finally. And he was alive. We made our way to him through the desert-like landscape and hugged him, with him squeezing us just as tight. Then I gasped

"Dad and Bizarro are going at it alone. We have to help him!"

So that's what the three of us did, and the four of us emerged victorious, promptly leaving the Zone immediately after. Jon got grounded upon his arrival, but he was too happy about his powers to care. I was just glad everyone was safe.
