Our Sakura: Prologue, By: Mesdames (Kristine G.)
Summary: KyouyaxHaruhi What if Haruhi was not a member of the host club? And what if, under unavoidable circumstances, did Haruhi end up living in the Ootori household? A fluffy, romantic fic about Haruhi and Kyouya.
Note: In my fic, Haruhi is not a member of the host club. She is just a (normal) student attending Ouran.

"Haruhi-chan, why don't you look around the school grounds while I chat a bit with your father," the chairman smiled brightly and Haruhi, "the sakura trees have just begun blooming; it really is a beautiful site."
Haruhi glanced at her father who smiled encouragingly. She gave a small nod and headed towards the double oak doors, closing them slowly behind her.
"I'm worried about her," she heard her father's muffled voice from the other side of the door, "ever since her mother…"
Haruhi half jogged towards the exit, giving a small sigh as the dewy summer air hit her when she stepped outside. She could hear the end of her father's sentence in her head. "Ever since her mother died, Haruhi has been over working herself – it makes me worried…" Since her mother's death, Haruhi's father had been more overprotective and worried about her than ever. She was surprised he let her attend Ouran, instead of making her be home schooled, where he could keep a constant eye on her.
She followed the long rose-bordered pathway, leading her to a large fountain, surrounded by, as the chairman had spoken of, a row blooming sakura trees. She hummed happily as she gazed into the sea of pink. Walking closer to the fountain, she suddenly froze, her foot still in mid air, when she realized there was a person sitting on the edge of the fountain.
He was a boy who looked a bit older than Haruhi. Haruhi had to admit that he was indeed one of the most handsome boys she had ever laid eyes on, with his shimmering raven hair and his cold, but beautiful eyes. But something about that boy sent shivers up Haruhi's spine. He looked almost emotionless; a machine-like expression was molded onto his face.
A sakura petal from a nearby tree fluttered across the lap top that the boy had been typing on. She half expected him to glare at the petal, but what he did instead shocked her.
He glanced at the petal, then to the source. A small breeze had picked up, swaying the tree branches in a gentle motion. A small smile began to unfold from the corner of the boy's mouth, and a bright twinkle fluttered across his eyes.
A small flush crept onto Haruhi's face as she stared at the boy's serene smile. Being a girl who never blushed, she suddenly felt awkward and strange. She spun around and headed back to her father and the chairman, the boy's smile and the swaying sakura trees still fresh in her mind.
