Third Person POV

Percy lay on his bed staring deeply at the silver ring on his hand. It was the blue gem from the first night of his training, and having managed to pull it out, his father expected him to "unlock its true potential". He spent nearly a week thinking of ways to activate it, but none of his ideas were solid and would never work. "AAAAGGGGHHHHH!" came the voice of Percy as he screamed away his frustrations. He was so angry that he almost didn't notice the warm and gentle glowing of the gem. This was enough to snap him out of it, and he stared at the gem as it gently glowed, almost resembling a flickering fire that although didn't heat you much, made you feel better just by knowing it was there. Percy stood there dumbfounded as he gently took the ring off his finger and analysed it carefully. "It responds to my emotions, that must be why it's reacting like this" thought Percy as a small smile found itself upon his face, but it was almost immediately wiped off as realisation that he had barely done anything to discover its true potential. He sighed for a moment before getting up and looking through his personal library. He pulled out a thick but short book, and opened the book and began reading.

"Lucifer. Samael. The fallen Archangel. The Morningstar. Lightbringer. The Devil. Satan. The Bringer of Doom. Evil Incarnate. He has gained many titles largely due to the controversy surrounding him. Largely believed to be the twin of Michael, although who is older is not clear, some say, Michael, while others say Samael as he was first known. Banished from Heaven due to his rebellion against God, and came to control the plane that has come to be known as Hell. It is unclear as to what happened to Lucifer after his fall, yet, he has at times been connected to Death, one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, although why is unclear. However, one of the few things that can be agreed on was that he was indeed God's favourite. One of the others is that he wielded a sword, although the exact description is not known, it is considered to be 4ft with the hilt included. The hilt is depicted as being a blend of black and silver, with a blade that has a bluish tint. It is also said to have a large blue gem near the hilt which is said to shine as bright as the star. However, a detailed description of the sword is not found as in Biblical stories as Lucifer plays a minor role, to say the least". Percy shut the book and groaned as he realised that there was nothing useful in the book about his father. It had stuff that he already knew or found irrelevant. He let out another scream of frustration before shutting the door firmly behind him as he walked to where he kept Alastair and Inferno. He opened the door, finding Inferno asleep, but Alastair was slithering through what Percy knew to be his training course. Alastair soon felt Percy's presence and stopped to turn and look at his master.

What is the problem Master, you appear agitated.

Percy sighed, before replying, "Father has given me a task of sorts, and I am struggling to accomplish it. But, let us not focus on that, do you want to take a stroll through Tartarus?". Alastair immediately replied yes and slithered himself around Percy's neck, looking like a slithering scarf. They made their way out of the Mansion and began walking, but almost instantaneously, he felt the hairs on the back of his hair tingle. He immediately came to the conclusion that someone was following him, but not wanting it to make obvious, he continued his stroll and flared his aura to ensure that any monsters around recognised his aura, and when he felt that the person following him didn't, it confirmed his suspicions that it was likely either a very strong monster or someone more powerful. "But who could it be?" thought Percy but he stopped as soon as he realised that he had stopped walking. Knowing that it was over, he turned around, and shouted, "I know you've been following me, reveal yourself!". Almost immediately, a cloud of black smoke gathered in front of him and from there emerged a male figure. He was obviously tall, at around 6'3, and had large muscles, although not large enough to make him appear blocky. He had neatly combed black hair, and white eyes, exact replicas of Lilith's. "Who are you demon?" Percy demanded/asked.

"Do not worry young Prince your father has sent me, he has noticed you have been struggling with unlocking your true potential" the man quickly replied. Percy narrowed his eyes but nodded nevertheless. The man continued, "Your father has told me to tell you, 'Only when you accept who you truly are, will unlock what you seek. When your heart is pure, empty of the feelings of hate, shall you flourish and achieve what you are to be', and on that note, I must return to my duty of torturing the souls of the dead". And just like that, the man was gone, not leaving a single trace of him ever having stood there. Percy cursed at this, and couldn't but help but felt even more frustrated. "What was the point of that?. That was useless advice. Seriously, he could've given me better advice than that" muttered Percy.

Percy's POV

I'm not gonna lie, but the 'date' I had with Aphrodite wasn't too bad. Well, if you don't include the part where she bought anything she laid her eyes on when I told her that I had an infinite credit card. And another surprise was that Aphrodite wasn't too bad. She didn't constantly flirt with me like I thought she would, and every time a guy would try to flirt with her, she would immediately reject his advances. She didn't go over the top with what she wore like I had expected her to. She wore a white blouse with a grey pencil skirt with small heels and had a small jacket on. I'm going, to be honest, but she was actually a pretty good person. She explained how she had been forced to marry Hephaestus and how he didn't care for her and would rather spend his time with his machines. She told me how the only reason she was with Ares was to spite Hephaestus for neglecting her, and she even told him how she was still a virgin. She never slept with Ares, to any man for the matter, and all of her children were born similarly to that of Athena's, but because she was born from the genitals of Ouranos and was made of foam, whenever she truly loved a man, all of that love would materialise into the body of a baby from foam, although she made sure that nobody knew that. She stated how she was actually a good fighter with daggers, but because of her status as the goddess of love, she wasn't allowed to fight, and even when Typhoon attacked, Zeus locked her in her bedroom and didn't let her out. That part specially made me angry, how dare he, how could he be so horrible. I was snapped out of my thoughts as Aphrodite grabbed my hand and gently squeezed it. It calmed me down a bit, but I was still furious.

After calming down a bit more, I gave her a small grateful small and she returned one in return. After that, we decided to have some fun. Aphrodite decoded that she had shopped enough, and flashed all of what she bought to her palace, and we made our way through Rome. We ended up going to an amusement park, and we had lots of fun. I played one of those common games at the arcade and won her a small cute baby panda stuffed toy. She squealed in happiness as she saw it, and gave me a hug, which honestly surprised me. We spent the next hour going to as many rides as possible, and as the day was about to end, we went on the fastest ride. Aphrodite having never been on any rides like these wrapped her hands around me and snuggled herself to me. I sat there wide-eyed at this. "What should I do?" I asked myself and after an internal struggle, I wrapped my arms around her as well and gently soothed her. Aphrodite had her eyes closed the whole time, but as soon as it finished, she opened her eyes and gave me a nervous smile. I looked at her face closely and saw that her cheeks were redder than when we got on before. I mentally shrugged it off, thinking that it was because of the exhilaration of the ride. I gently led her off the ride and we made our way out of the amusement park, and we both stood awkwardly at the entrance.

After a few seconds, she said "Thanks".

I was a bit confused and asked, "For what?"

She gave a small laugh and said, "For coming with me, for listening to me, and for making this the best day of my life. I've never felt this happy before, and I have you to thank".

I couldn't help but grin at that and I felt my cheeks heat up at that, but I wasn't sure why. I replied, "It's no problem, I enjoyed spending the day with you and you're more fun and kind than I thought you'd be. We should do this again sometime".

She gave a great big smile, and I could swear that her cheeks redden at this, and she said, "I'd really like that, how about next week on Friday".

I nodded almost immediately, and she said, "Bye Percy, see you soon". And with that, she dashed forward and gave me a small kiss on the cheek and disappeared in a flash. I stared at where she had been a second ago and brought my hand to where she kissed me. I thought about why she might've done this, but shrugged it off, knowing that it was probably because of today. I closed my eyes for a second and shadow travelled home where I saw both of my moms, with my mom Khione looking brighter and happier than ever, my dad, and my uncle Eros.
