Jason's POV
Dirt crushed under my feet as we entered the run down house before us. It looked like it had been deserted for years and that the insides had never seen light despite the large holes that tore through the wall. It was as if the very light was being sucked out of there. I heard a sigh from behind me and turned around to find it to be Piper. It looked like she was unused to walking as much as we had today and looked like she was ready to drop down on the floor from exhaustion, although this didn't make her look any less attractive. I turned around and continued to walk forward and as soon as I neared where the door would have been, I suddenly felt warm feeling spread through me. It was strange and weak, yet comforting and warming. It was almost impossible to describe the feeling of this but it was almost like if you were at home being surrounded by all your family, and while I didn't know who my family were other than Thalia, I couldn't help but feel that this feeling almost seemed familiar. I shook my head, and continued walking forward and after I took a few steps forward, I was hit with the faint smell of ozone. It was empowering like being in your own domain, but it also felt exhausting, like it was resisting me. It was weird and I turned to look at Thalia and found that she too felt what was happening. I looked at her and she stared at my eyes for a second before saying, "We need to split up to cover ground much quicker." Piper and Leo quickly nodded and she looked around as if assessing the area and said, "Leo, you're with me. Jason, you and Piper take the left and try and find Hera". Although I understood the hatred that children of Zeus had for Hera and likewise the other way, I didn't understand why she said her name with venom although it was likely that she hadn't even met Hera.
Not waiting for our response, she quickly sped off to the right, with Leo struggling behind her, although I could see he caught up with her slowly as she slowed down a bit. I turned around and looked at Piper who seemed much more interested in looking down at her shoes, and walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder. She immediately looked up at me, and I almost lost myself in her kaleidoscopic eyes, but snapped myself out of it and said, "We might as well get search for Hera". She shyly nodded and we walked towards the left and looked around for any clues as to where we should go. After a few minutes, we found ourselves at the entrance of what appeared to be a cave which was filled with some light, however, the smell of ozone was the strongest here as well. I took a few step into the room, but almost instantaneously felt a searing pain in the back of my head. Pain flooded my body as the pain got worse by the second, and I felt myself fall to my knees. I could hear Piper in the background asking for help but her voice was almost inaudible to me. The pain somehow kept growing and kept getting worse, until suddenly it stopped. I opened my eyes, expecting to find Piper in front of me, but rather found everything to be white. Not as in the colour white, but as in there was nothing there and it was just white. I desperately looked around, trying to find something to hold onto, but it looked like there was nothing there.
Anxiety coursed through my veins, but suddenly, light flashed in front of me, and memories flooded through my head. I found myself in this house when I had been younger, but there appeared to have been a large female wolf and a large pack of wolves as well. I found myself being trained and then I being later sent somewhere. Then it showed me in some sort of military camp, but they had lots of statues of the gods, but they looked much more different than the ones I had seen at camp, they all somehow looked much more strict and more militaristic. I then found myself speaking to a girl with black hair and I could faintly hear the words "Son of Jupiter". The memory zoomed past and I found myself in what looked like a battlefield being raised above square shields with people around me chanting "Preator". I wasn't sure what this memory was, but it appeared like it was the last one. Thankfully, it appeared I was correct as the memories stopped, and when I opened my eyes one again, I found myself on my knees with Piper, Thalia and Leo looking at me with worry. I tried to stand up, but stumbled and almost fell, had it not been for Piper who quickly ran to me and held me up. She gave me a bone crushing hug, and after a few seconds, she released me. She mumbled into my ears, "I was so worried about you Jason". I comforted her for a few seconds, and when I looked at Thalia and Leo, they're fears seemed to have eased.
Thalia was the first to speak and asked, "What happened?".
It took me a few seconds to form a response, but replied, "I had a flashback, or at least I think I had a flashback, and this place was in it for some reason. I'm not sure how or why, but this place is important or special in some way because I remember there being a massive large wolf here with a pack". Everyone looked at me a bit wierdly, but said nothing.
Thalia said, "We'll talk about that later, we need to find Hera quickly and then get back to camp". I nodded quickly and Piper and Leo did so after me, and we began to look around the room. As I looked around the room, I noticed a door at the far corner and I quickly ran to it with the others behind me. I opened the door, and what lay behind it shocked me. There lay a cage made of dirt that was almost glowing, with a woman inside it. The woman had brown curly hair and a white chiton with a small golden crown adorning her head. Thalia appeared to recognise her as she immediately hissed at seeing her face. She grumbled to me, "Jason, get Lady Hera out of the cage while I check the surroundings to find other possible exits". The word Lady was almost hissed as of the word itself burned her mouth or as if the word was the embodiment of Hell itself. However, before I could respond, a loud booming voice interrupted us.
"YOU CLAIM THAT YOU WILL SAVE HER, YET YOU CANNOT SAVE YOURSELF". I looked around trying to find the source of the voice, but found nothing. It was almost as if the voice was coming from the walls itself, however, after a few seconds, the ground before us split apart and a 20ft figure appeared from the hole. The figure had a humanoid shape from the waist up, however, I could not be sure due to the large bronze armour that the beats adorned. Green dragon legs were protrudin from bellow his waist and the figure had long green hair that look unnatural. I looked at the eyes, and I almost gasped. Sky blue eyes surrounded by green and black looked back at me and I struggled to not squirm under his stare. The beast held a bronze spear to accompany the armour, however, it seemed that the edge of the blades had been made with some silver metal or some godly steel from the glow it emitted. I quickly took out Ivlivs and flipped it and as soon as I caught it, a gold gladius was in my hand. I readied myself to attack, however, a female voice interrupted me.
"He cannot attack you unless provoked. You risk your life for something that you need not do."
I turned to look at the source of the voice and I saw that it was a woman. She had long black wavy hair that seemed to entrance you, pale skin that directly contrasted the shadows that filled the room, and blue eyes that party resembled my own, however, while mine were sky blue, this woman had ice blue eyes with pupils so white that they almost looked like white clouds on a bright summers day and all of this was topped off with an hourglass figure that would make any woman jelous. I was snapped out of my thoughts as soon as the beast spoke. "Ahh, Khione. Finally come to pledge your allegiance to mother?"
I almost cursed at myself for not recognising her. Khione, she was the son of Boreas and if I remember correctly, she had remained neutral during the Titan war, so if she was here to aid the Giants, it would present another obstacle to overcome. Khione however didn't seemed fazed at all, and responded to the question. "I am here on behalf of my father and the house of Boreas and we have to deny your alliance Porphyrion. The house of Boreas shall once again remain neutral unless given a reason to not do so".
I looked up at the beast, now identified as Porphyrion, and found him to be frowning. "Are you sure Khione, this is a one time offer. Should you reject this offer, the house of Khione shall be viewed as enemies to the house of Gaea".
I expected Khione to be at the least nervous, but she seemed indifferent. "The house of the North have been able to defend ourselves for the past few millenias, I fail to see how you shall be able do anything about it".
I looked at Porphyrion's response to this, and it looked like he didn't like it. "Fine. If that is your choice, you shall feel my wrath you puny goddess". You didn't have to be a genius to know that was the wrong thing to say as almost immediately, the temperature dropped. I could hear fair cracking noises and could tell that Thalia had as well, and I looked around and found that ie was spreading all over the house. The wooden floor, which had previously been black from what appeared to be a burn was now being frozen over, with had the floor already being partially blue. I looked back at Porphyrion and found that he gulped. I turned back to look at Khione and found that she too was surprised. That left the question, who was doing this. I looked around to try and find some clue, but found it to be futile. Just as I was about to give up, Thalia shouted.
"Look at the corner, somethings happening there". I turned and looked at the corner Thalia was pointing at and found that she war correct. The darkness around that corner intensified, and I noticed that all the shadows in the room were trying to get towards the corner, as if they were being attracted to it like metal to a magnet. Thalia, being the brave one, started to walk towards it, however, just as she got there, it was like an explosion happened because shadows exploded around the room. I stared intently at the spot that the shadows emerged from and found that there was a large hole there. I focused harder on it and found that a figure with an immense aura was coming through. My eyes widened, and I screamed at teh top of my lungs.
"Thalia, come back, someone is coming from there".
It didn't take Thalia long, and she quickly came back towards me and the others. I looked around, and found that the shadows were surrounding Porphyrion, looking like he was controlling them, but as I looked loser at his eyes, I found that he was almost scared? of them. I couldn't help but smile at this, however, as soon as it happened, the shadows disappeared. However, something even more shocking happened mere seconds after. A hole, similar to the one the one the shadows emerged from appeared in the middle of the room. The hole grew and grew and after a few seconds, a man emerged. He was obviously tall, at around 6'3, and had large muscles, although not large enough to make him appear blocky. He had neatly combed black hair, and white eyes that seemed to stare at your very soul. And lastly but not least, his aura. It was immense, it made me feel like if I was but a small bug on a wall. However, I had no time to ponder on this as the man soon spoke.
"You know, I haven't bene up here since Poland '43. Truth is, I loathe it up here. Its warm and sunny, no stink of blood or sizzle of flesh or the wet flap of flayed skin. I don't know how you mortals stand it." With each word, fear seemed to crawl itself into my heart and as I looked around, I could see that it was the same for Porphyrion as well as the others, except Khione however, she seemed to recognise the man or something because she had a smile on her face. The man seemed to have snapped out of his chance and looked back at us and said. "Now where was I. Oh yes, thats it. Presenting Crown Prince Perseus of Hell. Son of Lucifer, Samael, Morningstar, Fallen One, King of Hell, Ruler of Hell and Heir Apparent of Death, Pale Horseman, Angel of Death and all that is to end and the Reaper of Souls". With each word, I noticed that Porphyrion got more scared and trembled even more.
A loud snap attracted my attention to the hole that the shadows had come from and found that it to had enlarged itself and from there stepped through a figure. The man was clearly very young, it looked like he was halfway through 16 with a height of 6'2. He had a spiked mohawk which somehow went well with his black and white hair. He had white eyes that exactly replicated the other figure. He had a katana by his side as well as a silver ring on his hand. He had an assortment of jewlery, varying from watches to necklaces to bracelets. I turned to look at Piper and found that her cheeks were highly red, she stared at him with her jaw dropped. After a few seconds, he spoke, his voice being silky smooth, yet deep enough to show that he had hit puberty. "Well, well, well, Porphyrion, we meet again. Now you know how this will go, so I'm going to give you two choices. One, we do this the easy way where you walk away like nothing happened and tell your mother of what happened here, or 2, and I really hope you chose this, we do this the hard way where I beat your ass so hard until sunset when I will make sure your essence is spread so far apart that you wont even be able to think for a millenia. Now the choice is your, so what will it be?".
It seemed that it didn't take Porphyrion long to decide as he disappeared through the floor, and within seconds, the room returned to what it was before.
