Guest: We are on different ships if you know what I mean. However, I may decide to go in a similar direction when I get to that part of the story.

The kids have been walking through the jungle for hours. Literally. Darius was leading the way. Everyone for some reason had been looking to him to make the call. But HE had no clue on what to do! He had never lived through something like this! His thoughts were interrupted when Ben suddenly screamed! Everyone either gasped or screamed as well. They didn't see anything dangerous. Ben says shyly, "Sorry. Sorry. I stepped on a twig."
Everyone groaned and complained. "I should step on YOU." Kenji says.
"You're fine Ben." Darius says, trying to calm the others down. "We're ALL on edge. Let's just try to keep it together until we reach the park."
"Just face it." Yaz said. "We're lost"
Sammy agrees. "Darius, we've been out here for a while now. Are you sure that we are headed in the right direction?"
"Well, we WOULD be if I had my phone." Brooklynn chimes in. Darius was starting to lose it with her constant complaining. "It has a GPS, a Compass app, and is also... A PHONE!"
"Sammy didn't take your phone." Yaz said. "No one took your phone! Can we PLEASE stop talking about the phone?!"
Ben starts trying to get their attention. "Can you PLEASE yell at each other quietly?"
Kenji speaks up. "My fellow campers! Chill." Everyone looks at him. "What we need now is someone to make the hard call about what to do next. And since I am OBVIOUSLY leadership material..." Darius was about to make a snarky comment until Kenji continues, "I'll do this. And my FIRST decree as leader is for everyone to shut the hell up, and listen to DARIUS!"
This causes him to be even more confused. "Say what now?"
Kenji puts an arm around him and whispers, "You got us out of camp alive. Plus, as you are the oldest among us, I can blame YOU if anyone gets eaten. Leadership." Kenji announces proudly. Darius would never admit it to his face, but that was a pretty solid leadership plan. "So, which way Darius?"
Everyone looks at Darius for a second until Brooklynn takes a jab at Kenji. "Oh please. You're just trying to cover up the fact that you are lost TOO Mr. VIP. No one knows where we are."
"I know where we are!" Darius says. He starts running, and everyone follows. "We are by the Carnotoraus paddock. I thought this place looked familiar." Darius had suddenly remembered the way that he and Kenji had ran back to camp. "I remember the fence!" The kids break the tree line and see... "The broken, ripped down fence." This takes the smile off of Darius's face.
Ben starts to whimper. "That means... That means Toro is out here with us."
Darius realizes that they are gonna have to watch out for the Indominus and Toro. Wait a minute. "How do you know about Toro?" Darius asks.
"We all know." Yaz says. "Kenji told us the day it happened."
Darius glares at Kenji. "In my defense, me saving your life is a pretty cool story."
The teen just shakes his head. "Alright. We are still headed in the right direction. This paddock is north of the main park. We follow the fence for as long as we can, and maybe we find SOMEone who knows what to do."
"Exactly what I was thinking, as leader. Which I AM." Kenji says. Darius just rolls his eyes. "Follow me!" Kenji says, taking the lead.
Ben whimpers and says to Darius, "I don't think finding an adult is going to help us. A terrifying, camouflaged dinosaur destroyed our camp. No WAY they have a plan for that."
Darius tries to calm the scared teen down. "Look, I get that it's scary to think about, but this is Jurassic World. Dealing with Dinos is what they do."
"They didn't do so well back at the first park, did they?" Ben counters.
Darius puts a hand on Ben's shoulder. "Look, everything will be fine. Trust me." With that, they keep going.
It would be another hour, they know it was an hour because Ben has a watch, before they come across anything in the jungle. But when they do, the sight is not comforting. They see a gyrosphere upside down, a dead Ankylosaurs and huge footprints. Indominus footprints they all think.
"The Indominus was here." Darius says.
"People too. The gyrosphere wouldn't be out here for no reason." Brooklynn notes.
Darius looks around and sees smaller footprints. "2 people. They made it out. They must have gotten caught up in the middle of things." That's when Darius notices that the Ankylo wasn't even touched. It just lay there dead. No blood, no stench. "She didn't eat it. It's killing for sport. This isn't natural."
"The Indominus isn't natural either." Yaz shoots. Darius nods his head. She made a good point.
Suddenly, the bushes start to move. Everyone freezes, and then hides behind the gyro. The remembered that the Indominus could camouflaged. She could be right in front of them, ready to kill. The movement started getting louder and closer. Finally something came out!
Everyone screams as a little dino comes out with a screech. Thankfully, it was a baby Ankylo. "Bumpy!" Ben says and runs up to hug the little dino.
"And droolly, and smelly." Kenji says. "How do you even know that's the same dinosaur?"
"Her big head bump." Ben explains. "Dr. Wu said she was asymmetrical. But he's wrong that it's bad. There is nothing wrong with being different or bumpy." Then the conversation takes an interesting turn. "Or getting tired after reading an overly thrilling book. And maybe if her parents had listened to her, she wouldn't have come her and gotten attacked!"
No one knows how to react. "Are we still talking about the dinosaur? Feels like we aren't talking about the dinosaur." Yaz notes.
Darius interjects. "Look, we need to keep moving."
Brooklynn sighs. "I am NOT spending another hour walking through the jungle hoping we don't run into the Indominus. We need a new plan!"
"Exactly what I was thinking!" Kenji says. "Which is why I had Darius come up with a new one. Lay it on us bro."
Darius was getting tired of Kenji putting all the responsibility on him. "Alright. We need to find a safe place to hole up for a bit. Let everyone get recharged." He starts thinking out loud. "Camp is back that way, the park is this way..." A thought suddenly came into his mind. "Isn't Wu's field genetics lab close by? You guys went on the tour. Does anything look familiar?"
Sammy thinks for a second. "Yeah." She sounds unsure. "Yeah. I think it was this way." She points in the direction she thinks. Yaz agrees on the direction.
"Alright. If everyone else agrees, that's where we should go. There's got to be someone who knows what to do." Darius reasons. A terrifying roar fills there ears. It sounded close.
"Fine! Whatever. Let's head to the lab. As long as we are moving away from THAT." Brooklynn says as she starts walking.
"What about Bumpy?" Ben asks.
"She's a dinosaur bro." Kenji says. "She belongs out here in the wild."
Yaz also tries to reason with Ben. "And, she'll just slow us down. We need to move NOW."
With nothing else left to say, everyone starts walking. Kenji and Darius were in the back of the group. Darius was starting to question himself. "Should we be heading towards the lab? We need to keep moving but we are starting to get tired." Darius looks at him and notices he doesn't even look fazed. "Dude, how the hell are you so calm about this?"
Kenji shakes his head. "I already told you. If someone gets eaten, I'm not to blame. YOU are. Lea-der-ship."
Darius counters. "But, if I'm leading us the wrong way, the person that ends up eaten could be YOU."
This seems to sink into Kenji, as he starts to get worried. "Should we be heading to the lab? Why are we moving so slow?" Kenji walks faster towards the group. "Let's move our asses people."
Darius rolls his eyes. He looks in front of them and realizes one is missing. "Wait. Guys where's Ben?"
Before they can panic, they see a figure come out of the bushes. It's Ben's blue over shirt. They realize that he is walking backwards, like he was leading something.
"Ben, what are you doing?" Darius asks.
Ben suddenly turns around. He tries to play it off like he was doing nothing. "Oh. Hey. How's it hangin'... Dudes?"
The bush makes a noise. "Ben, why is Bumpy hiding in the bush?" Darius asks him.
Ben tries to play it off. "Oh, the jungle makes all sorts of weird noises. Could have been anything." To prove him wrong, Bumpy pushes through the bushes and knocks the human down. "Oh, how did SHE get here?" Ben continues to lie.
Brooklynn groans. "This is ridiculous." Yaz says.
"Ben, you have to leave her. Bumpy can't keep up." Sammy says.
"She can move faster." Ben says, starting to feel attacked. "Right Darius? Don't Ankylosaurs run fast?"
"She's just a baby." Darius tries to reason. "It's like asking a 1 year old to run a mile under 10 minutes."
To prove his point, Bumpy slumps suddenly onto the ground. They can hear what sounds like a feint snore. "Yeah. Total speed demon." Kenji says sarcastically. "Say goodbye Ben."
The start to walk away again until Ben says, "NO! You guys say hello. Cause she is coming with us! So... So there!"
"Ben, you're not thinking straight. Bumpy is too slow. She can't keep up!" Brooklynn says, getting tired that they were still talking about this.
"Then... Then... We'll put her in the van." Ben says.
Sammy shakes her head. "What van?"
"That one!" Ben points. They all see what he was talking about. And not to mention, it was on a ROAD!
They all race to the van. Kenji opens the door, and realizes something. "This is an ACU transport. Asset Containment Unit. I got a tour of their HQ. Super hard-core dino trapping security."
"Well, it's about to contain an ass of some sort." Darius says, looking at Kenji.
Before Kenji can do anything but glair, Brooklynn shoves past them. "Is that a tablet?"
Sammy found a walkie-talkie on one of the seats. "Wait, what did Dave and Roxie say? Oh, right. Channel 6." Sammy tries to contact the councilors, but is met with more static.
"And of course it doesn't have communication enabled." Brooklynn sighs. "Because you know what? Why would it? If I had my phone-"
"ALRIGHT!" Darius had enough. And the sudden yell from him scared everyone a little bit. They were used to him being so calm and collected. "There are bigger things happening right now! Can we PLEASE just STOP complaining about what we DON'T have?!"
Darius had turned away to regain his cool, so he didn't see Brooklynn's face and hurt look. After a minute, she alerts everyone, "There is a map with little moving dots on it."
Darius moves to look. "All dinosaurs are chipped with a transponder. It helps them to track it." Darius taps the screen. "Okay, we are here, and there is the park-"
Kenji cuts him off. "Wait." Kenji points to a spot on the map. "Here is the brachiosaurs grove on the map, so why are they all over here?"
Darius comes to a realization. "I think some of the fences are down."
Suddenly, Bumpy starts doing something weird. She is banging her tail on the ground and groaning. "Guys! Something is coming!" Ben yells as he tries to get Bumpy in the van.
"Whatever it is, it's not showing up on the tablet." Brooklynn says.
"What kind of dino wouldn't have a transponder?" Darius asks no one.
Kenji however says, "I don't want to wait to find out!"
Bumpy was giving Ben a hard time getting into the van. The little dino gives a cry, and the response is something louder. And much BIGGER! They can feel the footsteps coming towards them.
"Ben, shut her up!" Yaz says as she helps Bumpy into the van.
Finally, they get buckled. "Wait! We need a driver!" Darius starts to get to the front seat.
"Have you ever DRIVEN a van before?" Ben asks.
"It can't be much different from a jeep." Darius takes a minute to look at everything. Stick shift? Perfect! Darius used to take his Mom's car to the races, and that was a stick shift. Darius turns the key to start the car.
"Here it comes!" Sammy yells!
The teen steps on the gas, and looks at the side mirror. The Indominus was right on their bumper. He quickly changes gear, and the van starts going faster. But so does the Indominus.
Everyone starts yelling at Darius to go faster! He had put the van in 4th gear! But the Indominus was fast and catching up still. Darius heads into the trees again. They were too exposed on the open road. Everyone kept trying to tell him to watch out for things, but the overlapping voices were getting too much. "Shut up! Let me concentrate!" He feels bad that he's yelling, but it was the only way for them to get quiet again.
He was starting to put some distance between him and the Indominus. Everyone was wondering where he learned to drive like he was racing in NASCAR. "I think I lost it." Darius says when he couldn't see the white dino.
"Where the hell did you learn to drive like Richard Petty?" Kenji asks.
Before Darius could answer, the Indominus hits the van, causing Darius to lose control. They end up going airborne when he hits a huge rock! Darius was trying to maintain control as they hit the ground. He manages to make the side of the van hit a tree. After a second to catch their breath, Darius looks back at them. "Everyone okay?"
"Nice driving." Brooklynn says as she nods.
Darius sighs. "Now where do we go?"
Ben speaks up. "How about into the genetics lab?" The look at the front of the van, and see the lab. They all look back at him, basically wanting him to explain himself. "It's a gift." he says simply.
Darius does a quick check up of everyone. When he is sure that everyone is fine, they head into the lab. The first red flag for everyone was that the lights were off. It looked like it had been deserted. They may not be able to find someone who works here, but they might be able to call for help and rest for a bit. Everyone follows Darius into one of the labs and sees cake with candle sticks lit.
"GHAAA!" A figure jumps out of nowhere, scaring everyone! The screaming stops when he realizes what was in front of him. "Not dinosaurs. You're not... Dinosaurs." The man slumps down onto the table. "This is the WORST birthday ever." he says with a sigh.
"Who are you?" Darius asks.
"Name is Eddie." The man says as he gets up and sits back in his chair.
Everyone piles into the room. "We are so glad we found you." Darius says. "Things are getting crazy out there. We've got dinosaurs getting out of their paddocks and a new hybrid dinosaur eating people. We came here hoping to find someone-"
"You shut the door behind you, right?" Eddie asks.
"Um, I think so." Darius says.
"You 'think?'" Eddie snaps. "Or you know?"
Kenji lets out a burp. Everyone looks over at him, and sees him eating a slice of cake. "Oh. Did you want it back?"
"Oh, help yourself. " Eddie then starts to vent. "Nobody warned me when the dinos got out. They just dropped everything and RAN. Knock yourself out with the cake."
Brooklynn notices a phone and rushes over to it. It wasn't a smart phone, but a phone is a phone. "Ugh! No dial tone!"
Eddie nods and explains, "The landlines are down. Radio too. And cell service keeps going out."
"Alright, well... The park couldn't have survived this long unless they had a plan for this sort of thing, so... What's the plan Eddie?" Darius looks at the adult.
"You're asking me?" Eddie bursts into a fit of high pitched laughter.
"Is that like a good freaky laugh?" Sammy asks, starting to get scared of this man.
Eddie looks back at all of them. "Don't you guys get it? We're doomed." Darius could have sworn that he saw his eye twitch and roll around. "No one is coming."
"What about Dr. Wu?" Kenji asks.
"Wu?! Who do you think is to blame? Wu got greedy, and instead of building dinosaurs, he built monsters!" Eddie gestures to an incubation chamber with a bunch of eggs. Eddie said Wu was making monsters. Did that mean those eggs held more Indominusus? "Masrani, Dearing? They are all CLUELESS to what's REALLY going on here. And after everything I did for the other guys-" Eddie quickly stops himself.
"What other guys?" Sammy asks.
"It doesn't matter, does it?" Eddie starts again. "Jurassic World isn't a park. It's a powder keg. And it is DETONATING all around us!"
Darius starts to get frustrated. "Oh come on! We drove all this way to find help, and the only thing we find is the crazy doctor from What About Bob?"
Eddie turns Darius around to make them face each other. "Wait, you have a VEHICHLE?" Eddie shoves Darius to the ground.
Darius is stuned for a minute until he realizes something. "Oh shit. Guys, I left the keys in the van!" From that point, it was an all out sprint to the van. Eddie had a head start, but Yaz was faster. She was starting to break away from the others when she was tripped by Bumpy. After a quick groan, the athlete gets back up and runs after the van. She was about to make it when the Indominus comes out of nowhere and hits the van! Yaz fell down to the ground, and waited for the Indominus to kill her, but the dinosaur walks towards the object she just hit. The teens watch in horror as Eddie gets eaten. Darius knew they wouldn't be forgetting his scream anytime soon.
They ran in the opposite direction and come across a fence! "Are you shitting me right now?"
"Great!" Kenji says. "The park's ONLY intact fence!"
The Indominus lets out a roar that scares them enough that they decide to hide. "I told you, she would get in the way!" Yazmina starts going into Ben. "If she wasn't here, I could have made the van!"
"And then you would have been eaten!" Ben counters. "Bumpy saved your life!"
"Why couldn't you just leave her behind?" Yaz asks with a groan.
Finally, it comes out why Ben wanted to take Bumpy with them. "Because I won't abandon her like we were!"
Darius sighs. "Ben's right." Everyone looks at him with confusion. "We are on our own."
The Indominus roars, causing them to freeze. Darius risks looking for the white dinosaur. He sees the tail headed in the opposite direction. Darius looks back to where they came from. They see the van and despite the possibility of seeing Eddie's uneaten body, Darius motions for them to follow him to the van. Ben however, puts a hand on his shoulder and shakes his head. Darius sees the scared look on his face. "Trust me." he whispers. With that, everyone slowly heads to the van.
After a minute of slowly crawling, the Indominus makes its presence known again. This time, it was much closer. Darius feels his blood turn cold as he realizes that the Indominus is tracking them. The teens then hear and feel the sound of footsteps headed in their direction! The Indominus roars as she comes up behind them. She appears to be looking for them. Then Darius sees something that makes no sense to him. The Indominus gets down on all 4s, and starts sniffing around. This was bad because Kenji and Ben were hiding behind barrels that the Indominus was close to sniffing.
Darius sees a rock and decides to do something drastic. He uses his QB arm strength and the rock hits the farthest piece of metal that he could see. Thankfully, the rock did not miss its target. Darius risks a glance, and sees that the Indominus turns its head away from the barrels and runs towards the direction of the rock.
Ben and Kenji quickly join the others, and make an all out sprint for the van. Brooklynn however trips and falls causing the tablet to activate and beep loudly! She gets the tablet to stop making noise, but it was too late, the Indominus was getting close! Darius, Yaz, Kenji, Ben and Bumpy make it to the van. Darius sees Sammy and Brooklynn running from the Indominus.
"Yaz, you drive!" Darius orders, and races towards the Indominus. Just as the girls were about to be eaten, Darius takes a huge stick and bangs on the metal he was next to, "Hey, Godzilla knock off! Over here!" That causes the Indominus to chase him instead of the girls, which is what he wanted. But he didn't think about this part.
After doing a lot of dodging, Darius slides between a metal compartment. He was sure that he was gonna get eaten, so he just waits for the bite to happen. But when he turns around, he sees the Indominus got her head stuck. Not wasting another moment, he sprints to the van!
"Drive!" he yells as he jumps into the van and shuts the door! Yaz looks at the side mirror as they drive away and sees the Indominus roaring in defeat.
After taking a moment to catch their breath, everyone starts laughing and whooping as they felt the feeling of safety and relief that this was almost over! And as an added bonus, the radio started working! "Kids? Come on, pick up!" The teens hear Roxie's voice! "There is something going on! Stay at camp, we are coming to you."
Darius quickly snatches the radio. "Change of plans! WE are headed to YOU."
"Darius!" Roxie excalims with relief. "Wait, what are you-"
Darius interrupts. "Everyone is fine, but we had to leave camp."
"Short story, a dinosaur ate camp." Yaz says, sparing a long explination.
"Shorter story," Kenji interrupts, "leader Kenji got everyone out safely and saved the day!"
Everyone gives him a look that tells him to stop. "We are in a van, cutting through the jungle to the main park! See you soon."
With that, the campers resume their cheering and celebrating! Brooklynn puts her hand up in front of Sammy. The country girl realizes that she wants a high five. "We did it Camp Family!" the girl shouts.
The road suddenly turns very rough and bumpy. Darius hadn't sat down yet, but he was able to keep his balance. Once the roughness stops, something clatters on the floor. Brooklynn looks at it closely and realizes... "My phone." the girl says with slight shock. It quickly becomes anger. "I KNEW it!"
Everyone looks at Sammy with confusion. "Sammy?" Yaz looks at her friend with a look of confusion.
"Rock!" Kenji shouts as he looked back at the road. But it was too late. The van crashes head on into the big boulder!
HAHAHA! Finally! I'm making it more realistic by having someone NOT survive the crash. I feel like SOMEone should have been mortally wounded considering they were doing 40, 50 miles. Alright, well, hope you enjoyed, stay home, stay safe.
