Guest 1: Thank you for letting me know I've been getting the nickname wrong. I'll fix that.

Guest 2: That's a great idea! Looking back, it is kind of unlikely that they would think that carrying the dino heads would work. Tiff would be complaining the entire time. That means I would have to change the boat though. But it's doable.

Guest 3: I hate it when a book series do that sort of thing. I'm glad that this is making up for it. I actually never knew they did a Junior Novel, but I guess it makes sense.

Guest 4: My favorite dinosaur is the Velociraptor, so I'm going to say Blue. I know that the franchise is not so scientifically accurate with the dinosaurs and their appearance, but I think that it makes sense that the animals may look drastically different if we are filling the gene gaps with other animals. I know that some people are annoyed by that, but I think the science behind it is cool.

Guest 5: Okay, it SEEMS that way, but it's NOT. Darius and Yaz are just friends, sorry to disappoint anyone. I just needed to give Darius someone to talk to. But a Darius x Yasmina fanfic is not a bad idea... (possible fanfic idea...)

Enjoy everyone. Have a good day, stay home, stay safe.

Darius watched the sunrise. Sammy had a point that the island did look beautiful when the thought of imminent death was absent. For the first time in days, he felt at peace. His talk with Yaz helped him to stop blaming himself for Ben's death. But he wasn't going to ask any of the others to risk their lives. If there was a risk involved, HE would take the brunt of it. It was his responsibility to make sure that everyone else got home safe, regardless of what happens to him.

After a few more minutes, he feels the hotel shake a little bit. With each step, the ground vibrated with more intensity. He didn't know if the Rex was just passing through, but he didn't want to take the risk. "Kenji." Darius shakes the other teen awake. "Kenji wake up."

Kenji stirs as he is pulled out of his dream. "Must... Save mermaid. Mhhh." Kenji looks at Darius. "What is it?" Before Darius could respond, the building shakes the bed.

"Guys, wake up." Darius shakes the others awake. The girls were not too happy with being woken up so suddenly.

Brooklynn groans. "What is it?" The building shakes once more, and that causes everyone to get up.

"What do you think it is?" Sammy asks, helping Yasmina up.

"Rex probably." Darius says. "Be prepared to run."

A few seconds later, the Rex comes into view of their window. The Rex was dragging something in her mouth, a tree trunk by the looks of it. It walked right past the hotel, and in the direction of Main Street.

Darius wanted to check something out. "You guys stay here. I'll be back as soon as possible." Darius gets up to head out.

Brooklynn follows him. "Where are you going?"

"I need to see something." Darius looks at her. "I have a hunch, but I need to be sure." The teen exits out the door, and everyone follows him.

Kenji says, "You're not going to follow the T-Rex, are you?"

Darius just looks at him. "Look, it's headed to Main Street. I'll follow the Rex to see if she is just passing through or if she is doing something else."

Sammy interjects. "No way. You go alone, you could get killed."

"Well, we can't all go." Darius tries to reason. "It's easier for me to go alone instead of worrying about multiple people in this situation. If you guys just stay here, then at least I know where you all are."

"Then me and I will go." Brooklynn says. Darius shakes his head. Before he can verbally object, she continues, "Yaz is the fastest, but injured. Kenji would be too scared, and Sammy is the slowest out of all of us. By default, I'm going."

Darius was again about to object when Yasmina put her 2 cents in. "Even if there is no immediate danger, she can watch your back."

Everyone else agreed with it. Darius realized that he wasn't going to stop Brooklynn from coming, who looked at him with her arms crossed and a small smirk. Not wanting to spend another second debating this, he sighs and nods his head. Darius looks at the watch, which read 6:04 "We'll try to be back at 8:30 latest."

The two teens had been walking for about thirty minutes. They were moving at a steady pace, but Darius was resisting the urge to walk faster and leave Brooklynn behind. It was a silent walk so far, and Darius was grateful. But Brooklynn couldn't take the silence anymore.

"So... What was life like back home?" Brooklynn asked.

Darius's heart started racing. After the dream he had, he was mentally checking himself. After a few seconds, he finally answers, "It was fine. Me and my brother moved in with my uncle after Mom got sick. He's a nice guy, his wife doesn't like us for some reason."

Brooklynn chewed on the side of her cheek. "That sucks."

"Yeah." Darius says. "But, she's not too bad. Just a little rough. What about your family?"

"They are fine. Being raised by 2 dads just means more football during the season." Brooklynn explains.

"So, you go back and forth between your mom and dad's house?" Darius asks.

"Uh, no. I was adopted." Brooklynn explains.

Darius then realized what she meant when she said 2 dads. "Ahh."

Brooklynn nods. "Yeah."

"So, that means whoever you end up dating has double the pressure to pass the Dad Test." Darius grins.

"First they would have to actually let me meet somebody." the pink haired girl answers.

Darius turns around and puts his hand out. "Hi, I'm Darius. Care to go out with me sometime?" The two teens share a laugh.

After a few more minutes of silence, Brooklynn asks, "Do you think that they are trying to find us?"

Darius looks back at her. "Dave and Roxie?"

"Our parents?" Brooklynn clarifies. "Dave and Roxie are two people."

Darius answers her, "I'm sure that they are doing their best. What are they going to do? Storm the White House? It's not that easy."

After a little bit, they finally made it to Main Street. The teens saw that the Rex was taking pieces of debris and carrying them off. To where? Well, that's what Darius wanted to find out.

They had to climb up a side of the building to follow it without being seen. It was a bit of work, but finally they made it to the top. Now that they were on the roofs, they could follow the Rex much faster. After another minute of following without being seen, the Rex makes a turn into a paddock. It took Darius and Brooklynn a minute to figure out that it was HER paddock.

"Look at that. Mom had this theory that Rex's made their own nests. Now that the fences are down, she is free to do stuff she never did when locked up. Even beyond the grave, she is still teaching me." Darius had a small smile forming on his face. When he looked over at Brooklynn and saw that she was frowning, he is quickly brought back to reality. "Of course, this is bad for us in the LONG run. She built her lair right on Main Street, so we need to find a new place to hole up."

Brooklynn agrees. "There has got to be at least ONE area the dinosaurs aren't living."

As the 2 climb back down, Darius comes to a realization. "We need to grab more food." He leads her to the restaurants that he and Kenji found the canned food. He tosses her a backpack. "The Island is big. We are going to need a LOT more food than what we have to get through the next few days. It will probably take us a week to scout the whole Island."

After filling up 2 more back packs of food, they head back. It took them a little longer with the added weight of canned food and water, but they eventually made it back. By the time they made it up the stairs, they were out of breath. Darius knocked on the door of the hotel room. Sammy opened it. "Finally, you are back." Noticing the back packs, she questions, "So, you wanted to make a supply run all by yourself?"

Darius shakes his head. Everyone else was sitting on the couch. "We have a problem." he announces. "Old Rexy has decided to make a nest on Main Street. That is no longer an option. We need to find a new place to hole up till help arrives."

Yasmina shakes her head. "It will take days to scout the whole Island. We need to stay in one place."

Kenji says, "It's not JUST that, but it's an Island of DINOSAURS. Everything here is trying to kill the other."

"Well, there has to be SOME other place. I'm not going to make it if we have to stay in a hotel." Sammy shares.

Brooklynn looks at the group and says, "Alright, well, does anyone have ideas?"

Kenji spoke up after a sudden realization. "My dad has a penthouse on the Island! It's got everything we need to survive in style."

Darius nodded. "Alright, where is it?"

"It's in the jungle around the North Western part of the Island." Kenji explains.

Darius smiles. "Perfect idea. Alright everyone, grab the stuff. If we leave now, we can be there just before dark."

Brooklynn interrupts. "There is a problem with that Darius. We have food, but the problem is that we have SO MUCH of it. We won't be able to carry it. And I don't want to make multiple trips."

Kenji's face turns into a slight smile. "This place has a garage." Everyone gets up to follow the teen. "Grab the stuff. Come on!" The teens follow Kenji as fast as they could. Finally, they make it to the garage. And there was actually a few jeeps. "If we don't feel like walking such long distances, then we take THIS fine piece of machinery." Kenji goes up to one of the jeeps, and starts pretending like he was modeling.

Darius smiles. "Nice find Kenj." The teens load up the food in a jeep, and managed to find some more supplies for bathroom situations, and water. They couldn't find anything to help Yasmina's ankle. But at least they weren't walking or running anymore.

Darius got himself into the driver's seat after everyone else got in. Kenji, Sammy, and Yaz were in the back, with Brooklynn taking over the front passenger seat. Finally, things started looking up for them.

Unfortunately, when they got to the penthouse, they realized that they couldn't stay there. Not because of dinosaurs, no. It was because Kenji didn't know the lock combination to the door that got him in. Everyone groans at Kenji for finally having a useful idea, only for it to backfire.

Kenji defends himself. "Hey, I didn't realize that Dad was serious when he said he would change the locks if I failed Algebra. Not my fault."

Darius shakes his head. "Asshole, that is completely your fault." After a short sigh, he looks at the others. "Anyone else have an option?"

Brooklynn said, "Well, we can't stay on Main Street because dinosaurs, no where in the jungle is safe because dinosaurs, and we can't stay in Kenji's pent house because he's bad at math. Face it. We are out of options."

Darius, who almost gave up completely once, started looking at the map. He was quickly trying to come up with solutions. The problem was that all the Landmarks for the park was by other Dino enclosures. Suddenly, he got an idea. "We could head back to camp."

Everyone looks at him with confusion. "Isn't dinosaurs the reason WHY we left that place?" Yaz asks.

Darius reasons, "It's the best option. Wouldn't camp be the first place you would look if you were looking for a bunch of campers? Not to mention, it's got everything we need to make a shelter. I think I saw a stream as well for water."

Nobody else has an option, and they figure that they have nothing to lose. So, they jump back into the jeep, and the teens headed into the direction of camp. An hour drive later, the kids were back to where the trouble had started.

Brooklynn and Sammy help Yasmina and Kenji and Darius get out the supplies. Once that was done, they all just stand there, looking at the crap ton of wood that needed to be sorted out. "Well, Darius, you got us here." Brooklynn says. "Now what?"

Darius thinks for a second. "First, we got to sort through all this. Find out what is salvageable. Then, you tell us what to do to make a shelter."

The pink haired girl looks at him. "What do you mean me?"

"I mean, you spend all of your time making videos. I'm sure that you've done something like this before in one of them." Darius reasons.

Brooklynn gets up in his face, arms crossed. "Excuse me. I do a LOT more than just SHOOTING videos. I have a whole OTHER life." Her head slumps down slightly as she admits, "But, I did do a barn raising video for that Amish community, yes."

Darius smiles. "Yaz, while we sort through this crap, start drawing up some ideas for what our new shelter is going to be like."

Yasmina holds up her hands. "What am I supposed to use? I don't even have a pen."

Darius goes back to the jeep. He figures that there has to be a map, or even the manual, SOMEthing with a blank space for her to draw on. He finds a pen, and a clip board with some sheets of paper to use after a minute of searching. He heads back over, and hands her the stuff.

"Alright Brooklynn, what type of wood are we looking for?" Darius asks, going over to the small group.

She answers, "Just start sorting and put the big wood in one pile and the small wood in another. Once the wood is sorted, we need to test it. I'll explain it later."

Darius nods. "Alright. You guys heard her. Get to it."

Sammy asks, "How are we doing this?"

"Just start from the outside, work your way to the tree trunk." Darius instructs.

Yasmina calls out, "Darius, are we going to have our base on the ground? We don't know if there are dinosaurs near here."

The leader thinks for a second. "Draw some ideas of a tree house of some sort." he tells her.

It took them a long time to sort through the wood. There was so much of it, which was a good thing. They had a lot to work with. But it also meant that buy the time they got what WAS the entertainment area, the sun was starting to set. It didn't help that Kenji had put in minimal effort.

Tomorrow, they needed to sort through the 2 sleeping areas. Yasmina had drawn a couple of floor plans for the base. They would decide on which one to use once the rest of the wood was sorted through. That would take another 2 days at minimum.

But there was a different concern that needed to be taken care of. It was starting to get dark. "Where are we going to sleep? I'm glad that we are here and making progress, but until we get it built, we need to figure out where we sleep." Sammy pointed out.

Darius thought for a moment. The trees around them didn't look thick enough for them to sleep in. And he was sure that everyone was so done with trees. Darius finally comes up with a plan. "We sleep in the jeep. Sammy, Brooklynn, you guys will sleep up front. Yaz, you get the whole back row to stretch out your foot. Me and Kenji will take the trunk."

Everyone nods while Kenji groans. "Who's taking watch tonight?" Brooklynn asks.

"I don't mind doing it." Sammy says. "If it's a six hour shift, I can make it."

"I don't mind either." Brooklynn says again. "I just didn't know if Darius and Yaz were set in stone."

Darius nods his head. "It's fine if you guys want to take watch tonight. Let's just break it out to 3 hour shifts. Sammy, you take first watch, Brooklynn second, I'll take third."

"You want me to take fourth?" Yaz offers.

Darius shakes his head. "You rest. I'll wake up Kenji."

"Sorry, Kenji do what now?" The rich teen looks at Darius.

"It's just 3 hours. You can do that, can't you?" Yasmina says, who saw that he barely put forth effort.

Kenji sighs. Darius hands him the watch, and everyone starts to fall asleep slowly. Eventually, Darius fell asleep. He was worried that Kenji wouldn't be able to wake up Brooklynn, but sleep eventually overtook him.

Darius woke up as he felt someone shake is shoulder. "Darius." Brooklynn's voice was heard. Finally, his eyes open completely, and sees the pink haired girl on the other side of the jeep. "Hey. It's your shift."

Darius smiles as he sits up. "Thanks." That's when he notices. "Where is Kenji?"

She explains, "He woke me up for my shift, but he was too tired to climb back over." Brooklynn chuckles at this. "I think that's the most work he's ever done."

Darius laughs as well. "Well, I hope my snoring didn't bother you."

"I mean, if you could try NOT to breathe, that would be great." Brooklynn teases, causing Darius to laugh.

Looking back at Brooklynn, he says, "Get back to sleep. We got a lot more work to do."

She shakes her head. "I'll be up for at least another hour. Hard to go back to sleep after being awake for 3 hours."

"Alright, well, what do you usually do to go back to bed?" Darius asks.

"Talking helps." Brooklynn says. "Whenever I have a hard time going back to sleep, one of my dads will just sit and talk about nothing." She smiles at the memories. Looking back at Darius, Brooklynn asks, "What about you? What did your family do to help you sleep?"

Darius debates before answering, but finally decides. "My brother would tell me to stop whining and wrestle me till I got tired. Mom always had a more subtle approach. She used to sing to me, or show me her notes about the dinosaur she was digging up. I learned a lot about Raptors that way."

Brooklynn saw that he was smiling. Even if it was a small one. "Your mom was a paleontologist?"

Darius nods. "She loved dinosaurs. But she encouraged me and my brother to have other interests. My brother got me into football, and that's how we decided we wanted to play in the NFL."

"You must be good if you think you can go pro. Are you both quarterbacks, or does he play a different position?" Brooklynn started to sit up straighter, and so did Darius as they continued to talk.

"He plays Receiver. We want to eventually end up on the same team and play together." Darius smiles as he remembers his brother. "I hope someone comes soon. We both have lost so much. I don't know if he thinks I'm dead, but... I can't leave him like that."

Brooklynn nods. She has been thinking about how they were taking the news that she didn't make it off the Island. Then Brooklynn decides to ask a risky question. "What was your mom like?"

Darius starts to wonder if this was a dream again. He pinches himself and holds it for a few seconds. He didn't wake up. He bit his lip as he decided what to do.

Brooklynn starts to to apologize. "If you don't want to talk about her, you don't have to."

Darius nods, deciding that he would talk. "She was great. She was kind, caring. She did the best she could. She never gave up."

His smile was still there, but it shrunk a bit. "What about your dad?" she asks.

Darius shook his head. "Never met him. Died before I was born. I think Brandon, my brother, has only one memory." Not really wanting to talk about himself anymore, he looks at Brooklynn and asks, "What about you? Any siblings? Brother? Sister?"

Brooklynn shakes her head. "Only child all my life."

"Lucky." Darius jokes.

Brooklynn smiles again. "I wish I had a baby sister, or brother. But then I would have to put on hold my YouTube channel. I love it, you know? Would you ever give up football, one of the only things you are good at and love?"

Darius's smile fades again. "I did." he said. Brooklynn looks at him with confusion. "When Mom got sick, me and Brand had to quit football. Our choice, Mom tried to stop us. We spent our after school time working to help pay for the funds. Our uncle helped out a lot, but... Sometimes, your best isn't enough."

They fall into an awkward silence for a little bit. Brooklynn then draws his attention to the sky. "Check it out." Darius looks up. "Shooting stars."

Darius smiles at the sight. "We couldn't see THAT while the park was open." he says.

"Ugh, you're starting to sound like Sammy." Brooklynn teases. "Quick, make a wish."

Darius was never into the whole 'wishing on a star' thing. But if there was one thing he wanted right here, right now, well, what was the harm in seeing what happens? After the stars stopped burning up, Darius looked back at Brooklynn, and saw that her head was slumped down. He also heard what sounded like feint snoring. Finally, she's asleep. But Darius wasn't mad. He smiled as she slept. He still had a five-hour shift, so no extra sleep for him tonight. But he kept looking back at Brooklynn, and couldn't help but think about his wish. He hoped it would come true. Maybe not how, maybe not ever. Hope wasn't usually on his side. But, if it was something he really wanted, then what the hell?

The next morning, Darius, Brooklynn, and Kenji, were sorting through the camp wood. They were now working on the pile of wood near the boys bunks. There were 3 piles going now. The kids didn't think about how they had more than just wood. They had tables, they had storage containers, not to mention, the kitchen had more food and water. Darius was feeling pretty confident in their choice to come back to camp.

"Darius!" He turns to look over at Brooklynn walking over. He noticed that she had something in her hand. "I found your necklace." She puts her hand out, so he can take it from her.

The older teen happily accepts, and looks at it for a second, before putting it back on. Looking back at Brooklynn, he pulks her into a small hug. After a few seconds, he let's go, "This was the last thing Mom gave me. Thank you."

The two teens get back to work for a little bit, until Sammy, who was trying to keep Yasmina from being on her leg, calls out, "Guys! Quick!"

The three others race over to the jeep. Yasmina was on the ground, clutching her ankle. "I'm fine."

Sammy explains, "She was trying to help, but I kept telling her no, then this happened."

Darius thinks for a second. "We don't have any medical supplies. We might be able to use the wood to make some sort of cast, but she needs some sort of bandage."

Brooklynn takes out the map. "There is a veterinary station not too far from here. It may be a few hours both ways. But we need the wood."

"You and Sammy start walking. Kenji and I will stay behind to sort through the wood and keep Yaz off her foot." Darius says.

The 2 girls nod. Brooklynn walks to one of the piles and grabs two pieces. She tosses one over to Sammy so they both can have some form of protection. They head off into the jungle, hoping to find something to help Yaz and her foot.

Darius and Kenji start sorting through the debris again. But after a little bit, they hear Yasmina trying to help. She grabs one of the pieces of wood, and pulls. But with only one leg to balance one she falls back. "Yaz, just go sit in the jeep until Brooklynn and Sammy come back. We've got this." Darius says as he tries to help her but. But her stubbornness rivals his brother. She tries to grab the wood again, but Darius pulls her back. "Don't want to sit in the jeep? Fine. Kenji, sit with Yaz by the tree over there. Make sure that she doesn't move."

Kenji and Yaz make their way to the tree. Darius just shakes his head, and hopes that Brooklynn and Sammy are back soon. Darius continues to sort through the wood, and was working for about an hour, when Kenji started shouting. "Yaz? Yasmina?"

Darius looks back at the tree, and sees Kenji alone. "Where did she go?" he asks.

Kenji starts panicking. "I don't know. I thought I finally got her to stop trying to get up. I close my eyes for 10 minutes, and when I open them up, she's gone."

Darius sighs. "Alright, go after her."

"Why me?" Kenji asks.

"Because I told you to watch her. And I know for a fact that if I go after her, and leave YOU to sort through this, you will give up after 5 minutes." Darius reasons.

Kenji sighs, and heads into the woods. Darius can hear his voice calling for Yaz. Finally there is silence, and Darius is alone. He would have to be careful since he was alone. After searching and making a lot of progress, he found something. A camera. And older camera, but it will do. He would save that for himself. He was going to keep it hidden from the others, and do something a bit of a video diary. He quickly checks and sees that it has batteries, and tests out to see if it still had some power. It did. He would use it during his night shifts when everyone else was asleep.

Darius stuffs the camera into his hoodie, which he had taken off. He looked at the watch, and saw that it was noon. He thought about taking a break and eating lunch but decided against it. They needed to save as much food as possible. Who knew how long it would take for help to arrive.

An hour and a half later, Yasmine and Kenji break through the treeline. Darius saw that Kenji was carrying the teen trackstar on his back. He chuckled at how exhausted Kenji looked. To Darius's surprise though, Kenji starts coming over, and helping with the wood.

"Aren't you supposed to keep an eye on her?" Darius asks.

Kenji explains, "She promised to come back on the condition that I help you and sort through the camp garbage for useful garbage."

Darius nods. "Alright. Get to work."

About a half hour later, they hear what sounded like rumbling. Darius and Kenji look in the direction, and the rumbling starts getting closer to them. Darius looks at Kenji. "Into the trees!" Kenji and Darius help Yasmina into the trees, then Kenji. Darius sees Brooklynn and Sammy running towards them. All three of them make it into the tree just as a herd of dinosaurs push their way through the camp. Finally, the last of the dinosaurs get out of camp. Darius, Brooklynn, and the other campers jump off of the tree.

The wood piles were okay, since they weren't so close to the tree line. That made it easier for them to get back to work. Once everyone was down, Darius looks at Brooklynn. "What the hell was that all about?"

Brooklynn explains, "Sammy and I found the vet station, and more food, some medical tape and duct tape for Yaz's leg. We can use some of the wood to make a cast. And then Sammy saw the dinosaurs in their cages, and decided to let them out. They were a little slow going, and then Sammy found some meat eaters, and decided to free THEM as well."

Sammy defends herself. "They didn't ask to be there. They deserve to be with their families."

Darius sighs. "Why do I have a feeling that is going to come back and bite us in the ass?"

"Because our luck sucks?" Yasmina says.

With that, Sammy helps Yasmina with her cast, and Brooklynn, Kenji, and Darius start sorting through the wood again. Sammy eventually came back to help. At about 3:30, Darius noticed that Brooklynn wasn't here anymore. "Guys, has anyone seen Brooklynn?" Everyone started looking around, but couldn't find her. They all meet back at the jeep, which had survived the stamped. "Nothing?" They all shake their heads.

Before Darius can think of what to do, they hear something coming their way. "Guys!" The 4 teens turn and see Brooklynn.

Darius sighs in relief. "What the hell? Why did you run off?"

Brooklynn doesn't answer him right away. "Come here, I have to show you guys something." Brooklynn pulls Darius to lead him. Darius is confused though.

"Brooklynn. Wait." She still pulls him. Finally, he gets out of her grip. "Wait. Wait. Brooklynn, WHAT is going on?"

Brooklynn explains, "I heard a hum. I followed it to a patch of frozen flowers! I'm trying to lead you guys to it."

She grabs his arm again, and leads him to... nothing. After a few minutes of walking and running around, Brooklynn says, "I swear, I heard something. It lead me to a patch of frozen flowers."

Darius watches as she searches for another minute. "Brooklynn, are you sure you saw something?"

"I'm not crazy. I saw a patch of frozen flowers. I touched one of the petals and it crumbled like glass." Brooklynn defends herself. She listens for anything, but just hears the river, and the jungle animals. "I KNOW I saw something. I came to unbox Jurassic World, and that's what I'm going to do. Maybe I'm searching in the wrong area." Brooklynn gets back up, and sighs. "Let's head back to the others. I'll do some more searching tomorrow."

Darius follows her back. "You sure you saw something?"

Brooklynn nods her head. "Once I find the patch again, I'm going to show you and then you will be apologizing to me."

"Show me the patch of frozen flowers, and I'll NEVER doubt you again." Darius says.

Brooklynn says, "I can live with that."

They make it back to the others again, and start sorting through the wood again. Sammy asks, "What did she find?"

Darius explains, "Nothing. She says that she saw a frozen patch of flowers, and heard a hum."

"But that's impossible." Yasmina joins in on the conversation. "The power on the whole Island is down."

Brooklynn stands by what she saw. "Like I told Darius, when I show you the frozen patch of flowers, I will be accepting your apologies."

Another few hours go buy, and the sun starts to set. They all get back into the jeep to eat some dinner, and start their shifts. Yasmina takes the first 3 hour watch, Brooklynn takes the second 3 hour shift, and Darius will take the 6 hour watch. The kids go situated in the same seats that they were in last night, and Darius gets some sleep to prepare for his watch.

It was around 2 A.M. when Darius took out the camera from his hoodie. Kenji was sound asleep, still dreaming the mermaid dream, so Darius decided he would do his first video entry. He figures if someone came and tried to rescue them, keeping a log for them to find would be their best bet. Just in case they saw the camp, and no one was there.

"This is day four of us being stranded on the Island. This is my first video entry, so I will get you all up to speed. On day one, we headed towards Main Street. We thought we could get everything we needed from there, and we did. But on day three, we discovered that the T-Rex was nesting on Main Street, so we gathered the supplies we got on day 2, and headed for here. Me and the other campers started sorting through the wood, so that we can build a shelter to stay in when help arrives. If you guys are wondering how the hell are we still alive, believe me, I am shocked too, it's only because of Ben Pincus. He traded his life for ours. And we are going to make the most of it by surviving. I don't want his sacrifice to be in vain."

After a brief pause to keep himself from crying, Darius says, "I guess I should introduce the others. I'm Darius, the unofficial leader of the group. The rich Asian is Kenji, the pink haired girl is Brooklynn, the girl in the flower shirt is Sammy, and the tall girl is Yasmina. And we are Camp Cretaceous. Alright, well, tommorow, we have a big day. Going to have to sort through more wood, and start building maybe on day six. Alright."

Darius turns off the camera, and then keeps watch for the rest of his shift.

DARIUS'S VIDEO DIARY MONTOGE

"Alright, it's day seven, and we started building. Brooklynn was taking the lead since she has the most experiance when it comes to building a shelter. We've got the base almost done, so we may be able to start building up some more tomorrow. We've got a bunch of extra junk that we can use besides wood. Storage containers for the food, and jugs to get water from the river near here. I'm thinking that we could get this done in another week. Hopefully it goes well. Oh, and I should have mentioned this before, but the others don't know that I'm doing these little video entries, so that's why I'm doing these at night."

Darius was about to turn off the camera when he suddenly remembered. "Yaz is injured right now, but Brooklynn and Sammy found some medical tape, and used the wood to make a cast. Got to say Brooklynn, that was smart."

"Day eight, and we've ran into a slight problem. The walls are too high for us to safely build without a crane. Only one wall can be put up at a time, and we all have to hold it, otherwise it will fall forward or backward. We might have to make it smaller. We have enough wood to make the four walls, and then some, so what else do we have to do? *sigh* I'll think of another idea tomorrow."

"Day nine, we found the solution to our problem. The original Camp Cretaceous was built on a tree. Like, a freakishly big tree. So we figured, why not use the base of of the freakishly big tree as a fourth wall. That way, we still have enough wood to make a slide, (we are making a slide as a way to get down quickly instead of everyone climbing the ladder) and spare wood to make repairs." Darius shifts the camera to look at where the three walls are and how much wood is left. A mix of small and big pieces of wood that can be used to repair the walls if they need to.

Darius points the camera back to himself. "We are going to start working on the ladder and put the floor in. Going to have to be careful. But it will be fine... I think. It's only... sixteen feet in the air."

"This is day twelve. We got everything done when it comes to the building. We have been moving all the extra junk up into the base. Here, let me give you a tour."

Turning the camera, he explains, "We have the walls being held up by the big base. The slide is to get down easily in a fun way. That was Sammy's idea. We are working on the shower portion of the base. God knows I need it."

Darius starts walking to another portion of the base. "This is where me and Kenji sleep. The girls are on the other end."

Moving to a bunch of containers, he says, "This is where we store our food. And the TP. We have a bathroom area outside of the base. I'm pretty happy with this, so we are waiting for help to arrive. We think Dave and Roxie made it off the Island. If they didn't, we would have seen them by now at camp. Last we heard from them, we said that we would meet them at the docks. They must have gotten out. All we have to do now is wait for them to rescue us."

Darius sighs as he sits on his makeshift bed. "Day sixteen, and we are all going stir crazy just sitting around with nothing to do, so today, I decided that to keep ourselves busy, we would implement a sort of military style schedule. I put Yasmina in charge of keeping track of our food and bathroom supplies. Until Yaz is healed fully, the rest of us will rotate 4 hour scouting shifts. We found some binoculars and walkie talkies in the rubble, so we can radio each other if we need to. Kenji and Sammy need the most mental stimulation, so they head out first at about 7. They head back around 11, and at 1, me and Brooklynn do another trip. What are we scouting for exactly? You tell me. I guess I'm hoping that we see a plane maybe, or some sort of rescue operation. We mainly just do a full circle around camp, and climb trees every thirty minutes. I hope that Dave and Roxie get here soon. It's fricking cold at night."

"Are we really at day twenty four?" Brooklynn's voice asks.

Darius tells her to shush. "Alright, yes. It's day twenty four, meaning we have been here for over three weeks. We've been keeping track of the days with some chalk board. That's another thing I put Yasmina in charge of. First thing in the morning, she is supposed to chalk up another day."

Yasmina is heard off screen as well. "I can't believe that you didn't tell us you were doing it."

"Because I knew that we would end up doing this together. This was meant to be more of a Captain's Log." Darius explains, camera still facing him.

Kenji grabs the camera, and directs the lens to his face. "Why wouldn't you want everyone to see this beautiful face?"

Darius grabs the camera and shoves Kenji back down onto the couch. Sammy's laugh is heard. Then she says, "Anybody else feel like this is a realistic version of the new Matt Damon movie? Except it's with dinosaurs and NOT on a different planet?"

Darius shushes everyone again. "The great thing about having a jeep is that we are able to quickly get to and from Camp and Main Street. We spent the last few days tracking the T-Rex and her schedule. She seems to do the same thing we do, wake up, scout the area, do a supply run if needed. We also needed to make a supply run, since food was running short. So, we went to Main Street, and came back with a ton of canned goods and food. It's a JEEP. We can put much more in the truck bed than we can carry. That jeep is the best thing that has happened to us."

"All my idea!" Kenji says.

Darius sighs and rolls his eyes. "The only problem is that it's almost out of gas. It's fine. We have enough food to last us for months if needed. The battery life for the camera is also getting low, and we couldn't find batteries to save our lives. So, this is going to be the last video entry for awhile. Anyways, just letting everyone know that we are safe, but we wouldn't say no to a rescue."

With that, Darius ends the recording.

He puts the camera back down onto the table, and sits back down on the couch with everyone else. Everyone finishes their can of peaches, and headed to bed. Yasmina took the first shift as usual. Darius laid down on his bed, and went to sleep.

Alright, that should do it for a bit right? It's a longer one, and we are now entering Mitch and Tiff in a chapter or two.

Laura, Texas had an exciting year. You guys had SNOW. Although, that's probably the wrong type of excitement...

Anyway guys, stay home, stay safe.
