Back again so soon. I had a lot of free time this weekend. Hope you guys have a good day, and please stay home, stay safe.

Darius and Brooklynn were walking for three days, covering a lot of ground in the process. They haven't found anything for cloth yet. They were starting their loop back to camp. They just came across a jeep. They didn't plan it, but maybe they could find something in it. When Darius looked at it further, he saw that it wasn't grey and blue, but red and grey. He rubbed his hand across the door, and some mud was scrapped off and showed the Jurassic Park logo.

"What the hell is this thing doing stuck here?" Darius asked.

Looking around, Brooklynn saw an old sign that said East Dock and pointed to a tunnel. "It was trying to escape to the East Dock at the old park."

Darius opened the door, and a foul stench pours out. Darius sees the cause of the smell, and jumps back as he sees a human skeleton. Black bones and a strange goo was going to give Darius trauma. "What is it?" Darius hears Brooklynn's voice.

Thinking quickly, he turns himself to block her view. "Will you wait at the bottom of the hill please?"

Brooklynn gives him a weird look. "Why? And what the hell is that smell?"

Darius looks at her in the eyes, and with desperation, says, "Please. Just… wait at the bottom of the hill." Brooklynn looks him in the eyes and sees… fear? This was a new one for her. She has seen fear from everyone here. Everyone except Darius. "Brooklynn. Please."

She nodded, and headed down the hill. If he is this shaken up about something, then it's got to be pretty bad.

Darius looked back in the jeep, and for whatever reason, decided to pat him down. It felt wrong, but if he could find out who this guy was, maybe he could provide some closure to their family. He didn't find anything on or in his jacket. Darius shuddered at the thought of digging any deeper. But, he reached his hand closer, and touched his chest gently. The pressure was enough to make the bones crack and break. He was doing his best to keep himself from throwing up and shouting at himself in disgust.

At the bottom, Brooklynn was wondering what was going on with Darius. She was just standing on too of a pile of mud. After kicking some mud around, she felt something. She bent down and used her hands to sort through the mud. She finally found an object. When she pulled it out, she saw that it looked like… A bottle of shaving cream?

Darius had finished sorting through the dead man's clothes. He hated himself right now. How could he let himself be so heartless? Going through a dead man's body. But he did find a name tag. He moved the weird goo out of the way, trying to see if he could figure out their name. However, not wanting to look at the half dried up skeleton any longer, Darius closed the door and shuddered at himself in disgust. "Darius," Brooklynn's voice calls to him. "Come look at this."

Darius made his way down, and saw what she was looking at. "What the hell is that?" Brooklynn hands the can to him. Darius recognizes that it's supposed to be a bottle of shaving cream. He started inspecting the can. He doesn't know why, but he ends up trying to unscrew it from the bottom. It works. "Why would your cheap bottle of shaving cream need a secret compartment?"

Brooklynn points out, "Look." Darius looks to where her fingers point to. "It's a bunch of… Dino D.N.A. samples?" Darius looks back at the card he found. He uses his shirt to clean it as best he could. "Where did you find that?"

Darius answered as honestly as he could, "I found it in the jeep." They both look at the picture. A man. The name read Dennis Nedry. Occupation: Park Programmer. The name meant nothing to them. But, there was something eerily familiar about him.

Brooklynn shook her head and gave a nervous chuckle. "I think we've been away from civilization way too long. If I didn't know any better, I would say that he has-"

"Sammy's smile?" Darius finishes for her.

They both look at each other, both afraid that they were thinking the same thing. Brooklynn nodded her head. "Yeah."

Darius got up and said, "Come on. We got to be heading back."

Brooklynn got up and followed. After a little bit though, she started getting curious about everything. "So, was this Dennis Nedry an employee at the old park? Why would he have a bunch of D.N.A. samples if he helped program the Park? Was he sent here to spy? And why does he look like Sammy? Could he somehow be connected to MantaCorp?"

Darius just shook his head and shrugged. As long as they kept moving away from the jeep, he was going to be fine. "I don't know Brooklynn. Maybe some secrets are meant to stay secrets."

It was almost like Brooklynn didn't hear a word he said. "Why would his name tag be in the car? Could he may have gotten eaten before he got to the boats?"

Darius shuddered, the realization that he not only SAW a dead body, but had the audacity to TOUCH it, much less go THROUGH his CLOTHES. "With THIS island and it's history? Yeah, I'm pretty sure that is a possibility."

Brooklynn just kept talking. "We should go back to investigate."

"No." Darius said simply.

Brooklynn questioned him. "Why? We might have some answers for where everything went wrong."

"You wanna know where everything went wrong?" Darius asked rhetorically. "Alright. It's because an old man was so obsessed with brining back extinct, savage animals from the dead. And he didn't understand that not everyone shared his Willy Wonka enthusiasm for dinosaurs, therefore not ONCE did he think that his own company could be corrupted, specifically Wu, the asshole responsible for this hell hole."

Brooklynn sighed. "Let's just go back, let me investigate, we may be able to get some answers for Sammy."

Darius shook his head. "Brooklynn, sometimes, secrets are buried for a reason."

Brooklynn insisted. "Just give me five minutes, and then we can-"

"NO!" Darius turned around and yelled. Brooklynn was taken back and was scared for a second. She then noticed that he was shaking. And she saw fear in his eyes again.

She wasn't about to let him suffer in silence like he probably is used to. Brooklynn closed the gap between them, and pulled him into a hug. She gently whispered, "What happened?"

Darius was shocked for a minute before returning the hug, and told her. "I saw my mother die. I watched them take her dead body away. And now, I just saw an entire SKELETON. And I searched his clothes. All because I wanted to know who he was." Darius began shaking again, and Brooklynn helped calm him down. "What kind of person just goes through a dead man's clothes? Let alone, a man who has been dead for twenty years?"

Brooklynn forced him to look her in her eyes. "The kind of person who would do ANYTHING to help his family and friends. You have been through so much, and done things that I would never have had the strength to do. You AND Sammy are the strongest people I know." Brooklynn pulls him into a hug again. After a minute, she says, "We don't need to go back. There isn't anything else to find."

Darius, who looked like he was on the verge of tears, said, "Thank you." With that, they kept moving.

By the end of the week, the two were almost back at camp. It was morning, and they were making good time. Suddenly, Darius got an idea. "We should check out Mitch and Tiff's camp for anything useful."

"Like what?" Brooklynn asked.

"A walkie-talkie. Or some equipment we could use." Darius reasoned. "Of course, if you want to get back, I could always take Sammy or Ben."

Brooklynn shook her head. "No. I'll go with you. Like Sammy said, we know each other so well, why change what has worked."

Darius nodded his head. When they got to the camp sight, it was NOTHING like it was a few weeks ago. The luxurious yurts were trampled and the white coloring was all muddy. EVERYTHING was destroyed. "What are we thinking? Dinosaurs?"

Brooklynn nodded. "Yeah. I'm gonna bet on dinosaurs."

They searched, and finally found Hap's yurt. Scattered were a bunch of knives, weapons. And lucky for them, a bunch of walkie-talkies. They checked them, and found that they were still working. "Looks like our luck is turning around." Darius states.

"You say that now." Brooklynn counters.

Darius shrugs, realizing she was right. But at the same time, their dumb luck has always helped them out. That doesn't mean he wants to continue pushing it. They finished up scavenging the camp. Darius grabbed the razors from the bathroom yurt, and put them in the backpack. It was around noon when they got back to camp.

Sammy was first to notice them. "Hey you guys! They're back!" In her usual, and if Darius was being honest, annoyingly infectious happiness and energy ran up to them and gave them a hug. Ben and Yaz were next to greet them, Bumpy as usual behind her imprinted human. Finally, Kenji came over to greet them.

"Any luck?" he asked.

Darius shook his head. "We found nothing on the East side. The next team might want to try the West, then the South. We may have to break the South up into two trips."

Ben asks, "What about the North of the island?"

Darius explains, "The map of yours shows nothing in the North. If we can't find anything in the West or South, then we need to think of something else."

Everyone sighed. They expected things to be difficult to get off the Island, but they didn't think things were going to be THIS difficult. "Let's grab some lunch. We all need it." Yasmina suggested. Everyone agreed.

As everyone ate, Darius unpacked the backpack. "We decided to check out Mitch and Tiff's camp. Figured we could find something useful. And look." The oldest teen showed them the eight walkie-talkies. "Now we don't have to worry about not being able to communicate with each other anywhere on the Island."

"Nice work you two." Sammy cheered. "Looks like Darius and Brooklynn is the dynamic duo of the camp fam."

Brooklynn laughed and Darius smiled. He suddenly remembered. "Hey Sammy?" The Texas girl looks at him. "Does the name Dennis Nedry mean anything to you?"

Sammy looked shocked that he knew the name. "Nedry is my mother's maiden name. Dennis was her brother who worked on the Original Park. According to my mother, he ended up making some dicey financial choices. Her working theory was that he borrowed money from the sharks and was never able to pay them back. She speculated that since her family never received any sort of money from InGen after all the lawsuits, he was killed before he could ever get home." She finished explaining, and said, "Why do you ask?"

Darius showed her the name card. She looked at it, as if trying to take in every detail at once. And it was perfectly understandable. He was a relative she never had the chance to get to know. Darius then sho hr the shaving cream can, and opened the bottom, revealing the secret compartment, and the dozen or more D.N.A. samples of dinos. "We found this a few feet away from his body." Darius explains.

Sammy was confused. "Wait. Why would he have these D.N.A. samples if he was a computer guy? Unless, he was a spy for MantaCorp?"

"But wasn't MantaCorp founded in the early 2000s?" Kenji asked.

"So someone else must have attempted to steal Wu's research and InGen's tech." Sammy reasoned. "Maybe they promised to pay off his debts. It would make sense if he was having financial trouble." The girl sighed. After a minute, she looked up at Darius and Brooklynn. "Thank you. You may not realize, but this helps me to connect some of the dots in this already too big picture."

"You're welcome Sammy." "We got your back." Brooklynn and Darius say.

The next week and a half were spent with everyone helping build the raft. After building a raft big enough to hold them and their supplies, they needed someone to test it out. That's how Darius ended up on the raft with a bunch of big rocks to stimulate the added weight if everyone and their supplies of food. Everyone else was on the dock with a long rope, making sure he didn't get swept out to sea. He was about two hundred feet past the dock, with the time being noon and weather being semi bearable. What better way to test out your boat than on some rough water.

"Darius, you copy?" Brooklynn's voice comes over the walkie.

"Go ahead Brooklynn." Darius responded.

"How's the raft holding up? We increased the weight of the rocks to see if it could handle more weight." Brooklynn explains.

Darius informs her, "Raft is holding up pretty well. Increasing the test weight was smart. I think we might have just found our way back home."

The other campers could be heard cheering through Darius's walkie. "Great news. Want us to pull you back, or should we wait?"

Darius thought for a second before answering her, "Bring me in around three. We'll head back to camp and do some more brainstorming on where we can find something to use to make a sail."

"Copy that. Radio in if you need anything."

With that, the conversation ended.

"Alright, we know that a boat works." Darius was going over the blackboard with them later that night with dinner. "Only problem is that we can't use it until we manage to have something to control the wind. Me and Brooklynn checked the East side. Found nothing. That leaves the West and South parts of the Island left to look before we start checking the North."

"So which team is going out next?" Yaz asks. Her ankle was almost healed, so she was going a little stir crazy with less to do.

"I want to keep you off that ankle for as long as possible. Kenji, Sammy, would you guys be willing to go?"

Before Kenji could speak, Sammy says, "Yeah. We've got this. Do you want us to go in the morning?"

"Yeah." Darius answers. "Pack enough for the two of you for a week."

As Kenji and Sammy were walking through the jungle, prepared to spend the next week searching for cloth, Kenji was being less vocal than usual. Sammy was wondering what it was, and was debating asking or not. Finally, she just asked. "Alright. What is with you lately?"

Kenji tries to play it off. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, you are less talkative, yet you are very vocal about how Darius has been leading these last few weeks. You're questioning everything he does, which is good. It reminds us that we shouldn't just blindly trust anyone." Sammy explains. "But Darius has been taking care of us since day one. So can you tell me where this recently newfound frustration and anger is coming from?"

Kenji sighs. "I feel like he is putting everyone in needless danger."

"You think he WANTS to stay on a bug and dino infested island? You know him better than that Kenji." Sammy defends.

Kenji shakes his head. "There is a HUGE difference with making the best out of a bad situation and actively LOOKING for trouble." he says.

"We ALL agreed that we would be together with how we got off the island. We are all trying to get home. If it means wandering through the jungle to find some cloth to use as a sail, then I'll do it." Sammy reminds him. "We've all got family or friends back home waiting for us."

The only person waiting for me is my Dad, Kenji thinks. I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't even noticed I was gone. "What are your siblings like?" Kenji decides to say instead.

Sammy rolls her eyes, and says, "What do you think?"

Kenji shrugs. "Never had any siblings. Only child all my life."

"It's like how you and Darius used to act with each other. Calling each other names, insulting each other without meaning them." Sammy explains. "If we are going home soon, and if we are going to try to make things work, I need you to come to terms with Darius. You've been fine with him until you met up with him and Brooklynn at the dock."

Kenji sighs. "I promise to make amends with him before we leave. I just… need some time."

Sammy nods. "I get it. Make sure you do it sooner rather than later. Otherwise you both may end up saying something you guys will regret, and then the whole Camp Fam will fall apart and then we will all be back to being miserable and alone."

Kenji laughs and sighs at this. I just need time to make sure he really cares for her.

It would be another few weeks to search the West and South side of the island. Darius wasn't sure how much time was added from their two months, but all he knew was that he finally ran out of razors. His face was once again back to a form of beard. Since they used the last of the razors, Kenji and Darius decided who could grow the best beard before they went home. For everyone, it was a tie really.

They could only have been growing them for like two weeks. They both had some thick and soft patches of hair on their faces, not really wanting to connect with each other. But at least some of the tension between them was replaced with their usual antics. Not to say that things were perfect.

"The only place we haven't checked yet is the North." Kenji argued.

Darius countered, "We haven't ever been that far up North. We don't know that area. I am all for taking some time to investigate before we go plunging right on in."

"We can't wait that long, We haven't found shit to use for a sail. So either we go North, and hope we find something, or stay here and try something else." Kenji shot back.

They both sighed and said, "What do you think Sammy and Brooklynn?"

The girls looked lost about what to do, so all they said was, "Let's wait to decide with everyone. Ben and Yaz are supposed to be back later today. Maybe that-"

"GUYS!" Ben's voice is heard.

Yaz was in front of him, and also shouted, "You got to come see this!"

Everyone followed Ben and Yaz to where they were leading. Finally, they came to what was the Mission Control for ACU. Yaz and Ben lead the four others to a helicopter pad. The others were confused, but at the same time excited. Except for one thing.

"What are we supposed to with it?" Sammy asked.

Yasmina and Ben chuckled. "Obviously, we are going to learn how to fly it."

Yaz's statement scared them except Ben. "And how are we supposed to do that?" Kenji asked.

"We read the manual." Yaz responds, as if it was just going to magically happen. She opened the door to the helicopter, and begins searching for said manual. After a few minutes, she goes, "Found it!" She hops out and says, "How do we decide who learns?"

Everyone was frozen for a second, until Darius stood forward. "I'll learn how to fly."

Brooklynn looked at him, and said, "What? Are you crazy?"

Darius reflected for a second, and in all honesty just looked at her and said, "Yeah." Darius was handed the manual, and he began reading. After a little bit, he got into the helicopter. With more reading, he handed the book back to Brooklynn. Before he started the chopper, he told them, "You guys might wanna stand back a bit."

So they did. Darius took a deep breath, and turned the key, and flicked the switches in the manual. It's just like driving a stick shift, Darius told himself. He used the control stick on the left side of his seat to increase the speed of the rotors. Once he was comfortable, he attempted to lift off. He verrrry gently pulled the joystick towards him, and the nose lifted. After increasing the speed of the propellers some more, he was finally able to get the chopper a few feet off the ground.

Darius turned towards his friends and smiled as they just stood there scared out of their minds. It could have been that he was off the ground, but the chopper was spinning while he was hovering. He pushed the peddles on the floor to see what they did. The left peddle started making the nose of the chopper turn left. When he tried the right peddle, it did the same thing. After a few minutes he discovered a balance with the right peddle to keep the chopper from moving.

He decided to do a test flight. Not around the island, but maybe around the area. He had a little trouble with it. The joystick was very sensitive, unlike a steering wheel of a car, where your steering always is in line with where you are going. So, his stick shift experience was helping him hover, but his driving experience was working against him.

Everyone saw the choppy maneuvers and turns that Darius was doing. Even his liftoff looked rough. "How do we tell him to stop?" Brooklynn asked anyone.

"When his nose comes around, we will gesture." Sammy reasoned.

When his nose was facing them, they told him to stop and even gestured for him to come back. It took Darius a few seconds to understand, but he think he understood. Suddenly, an alarm was heard on the panel of a thousand doohickies. A red light was flashing, and below it was the fuel indicator. It was warning him that it was empty.

He began to panic, and he pulled the joystick a little too hard. The chopper was spinning out of control. Darius realized his mistake too late, and he missed the helicopter pad completely. He realized that he was gonna end up in the trees. He braced himself as he finally stopped spinning and the chopper's propellers and rotor got tangled in the trees and branches.

The force of the impact caused Darius to get jerked in his seatbelt. His torso and chest were in so much pain. But at least he stopped spinning. More bad news though was that the helicopter was totaled. Welp, so much for that idea.

Darius was finally able to get out of his seatbelt and looked to see how far up in the air was. He couldn't see anything out of the pilot side, so he attempted to look out the other side. The problem was that when he moved, the chopper moved as well. So, he couldn't see out if the other side and he couldn't just jump out and hope for the best.

He made up his mind, and decided to clear away the leaves that were blocking his view. He saw that he was caught between two trees. The propellers had stopped spinning, so he didn't have to worry about getting his head cut off. He looked at the tree closest to him and saw that there wasn't a lot of branches or places he could support his hands and feet with. The tree that was a bit of a jump had a bunch of support for his feet and hands. Whatever he decided he had to do it fast. He has seen too many action movies where the helicopter explodes, so he was a little paranoid right now.

Finally, he made up his mind and decided to jump to the tree with more branches. He took a deep breath, and just went for it. He missed, and fell for a second and landed chest first on the ground. Darius groaned in pain and confusion. "What the hell?" He turned himself over on his back and looked at the crash. He noticed that the helicopter had crushed so many trees that they cushioned his fall. So all the branches that were blocking his view down were actually pressed on the ground. "Huh." He was very happy that no one else was there to see that.

"Darius!" Brooklynn's voice shouted.

Kenji came around the corner and shouted, "Over here!" He helped Darius up off the ground onto his feet. The others came around the corner a few seconds later. They all sighed in relief as Brooklynn pulled him in a hug.

He groaned in pain. She quickly pulled away and said, "What hurts?"

"Whole upper body." Darius summed up.

Brooklynn nodded and told the others to help him against the tree. "Lift his shirt up." she told Kenji and Ben. They obeyed and she saw the marks where the seatbelts must have rubbed him. She traced the marks and he groaned in discomfort. Her hand got down farther under his stomach where the waist strap was. He groaned but also chuckled. It was a very confusing and painful moment for him. "Ticklish?" she started to tease him.

"I am in so much pain right now, and THAT'S what you focus your attention on?" Darius asked, trying to divert her attention.

Brooklynn smiled, knowing what he was trying to do, but got back to examining him. "You're going to be bruised for a few days, a week at the most." Darius nodded his head in understanding. "What I don't understand is how you got your WHOLE chest to hurt." Darius shrugged as if he didn't know either. After thinking for a second, she asked, "You didn't jump out of the chopper, did you?"

Darius quickly answered, "No."

But Brooklynn saw right through it. "Oh my god, he jumped out of the chopper. Where were you going to jump to?"

"I didn't realize I was so close to the ground, so I jumped to the tree that I could have more support on." Darius explained. Brooklynn and the others started laughing. Darius rolled his eyes. "Okay, yeah. Very funny. Ha ha, he didn't know how close to the ground he was. You can stop laughing at my pain."

After a few more seconds, everyone stopped. With that out of the way, Brooklynn asked between giggles, "Can you stand?" Darius got up and started walking to show that he could.

Looking at his watch, Ben said, "It's going to get dark soon. We should head back to camp."

Everyone started walking in the direction of camp. Brooklynn walked right next to Darius and said, "I don't feel bad for you one bit." This caused more giggles and stifled laughs on their way back to camp.

Darius sighed. "That's not going away any time soon."

Everyone was back to the drawing board. "So, going all Arnold Shwartsenegger and flying a chopper out of here is out of the question."

"We can thank Yaz for that." Brooklynn jabbed.

Yaz looked at Brooklynn, and looked like she wanted to fire back. "Don't you two start again." Darius warned them. They stopped, and Darius continued. "Any other ideas?"

Kenji coughed and said, "We could head North, the only area we haven't checked yet."

Darius shook his head. Brooklynn explained to Ben and Yaz, "They have been goong back and forth for days over should we head North or not."

Sammy said, "If there is a chance that we could find something, I believe it's worth a shot. Besides, Ben knows the jungle better than anyone else."

Ben counters, "I never made it up that far North. Even I don't know what's up there, aside from the volcano."

Yaz speaks up. "We could scout if out for a few weeks, see what's there instead if just blindly jumping head first."

"We can't wait that long." Kenji said. "We have a way off this island, and if we wait any longer, I may lose it."

"Well, we can't just walk in with no plan other than searching." Brooklynn tells him.

Darius suddenly facepalms himself. "Ugh. Idiot. Why didn't I think of this before?"

Brooklynn asks, "Think of what?"

"Could we use the cloth on the yurts as a sail?" Darius asks.

Everyone was silent for a minute before realizing what he meant. Then, their groans filled the entire camp. "We've been looking for cloth this entire time, and not ONCE did anyone think, 'hey, why don't we check the yurts, the things that have cloth on them?'" Ben asks out loud.

Darius sighs. "Alright, we'll go check it out in the morning."

Everyone agreed. Darius stayed up for watch, and heard everyone groan and call themselves idiots for not thinking about this earlier.

The next morning, everyone walked to the poacher camp. The site was a wreck. Everything was destroyed, and the yurts looked to be in bad shape. "This might have been a bad idea. We may not even be able to use the yurt cloth." Sammy said.

"If we can find enough usable cloth, I may be able to sew it together." Brooklynn says.

Kenji asks, "How do you figure that?"

"It was part of the Unboxing Amish Country video." Brooklynn answers.

They take all the cloth they could find, and head back to camp. They lay out all the cloth and Brooklynn inspects it. Darius asks her, "Can you fix it?"

Brooklynn bit her cheek and said, "It's doable. It will take me at least three days to go through this cloth and see what is useable." A couple of days later, they were done with sorting through the cloth. They used Darius's knife that he had to cut the fabric from the rest of the unusable. Pretty soon, they had enough material to make a sail. Brooklynn wasn't confident about it though. "I can make a makeshift needle to begin sewing, if that's what we still want to do. We have barely enough."

"Does anyone have a different option?" Darius asks anyone. "So far, the only promising plan we have is the raft we have at the East dock."

After a minute of thinking, she said, "We could try the tunnels."

Kenji groans. "What attracts you to those tunnels so much? Why would you want to go down there?"

"I mean, for whatever reason, it had power down there." Brooklynn reasons. "So, if we find a phone of some sort, doesn't it make sense that it would work?"

"You can't argue with that logic." Ben said. "Hey, has anyone wondered why there was power down there?"

Yasmina turns her attention on Brooklynn. "Admit it. You don't want to find a phone, you 'came here to unbox Jurassic World', and that's what you're gonna do."

Brooklynn stands up to defend herself, frustrated that Yaz is coming at her for no reason. Darius gets in front of her. "Hey, hey. Just walk away."

Brooklynn looked at him with confusion. "But, SHE-"

"I know, I know. I'll talk to her, just walk away." Darius assured her. Brooklynn groaned/screamed in frustration. Once she was on the other side of the base, Darius turned his attention onto Yaz. "What the hell is your problem?"

Yaz looks at him, like she was just as confused as Brooklynn. "I just spoke the truth."

Darius calls her out. "Bull. Shit. For the last few... I don't know how long, you and her have been butting heads whenever you guys get the opportunity."

"So have you and Kenji." Yaz counters. "How is this different?"

"The difference between us and you two is that when everyone else thinks that one of us is wrong, we'll drop it." Darius explains. "If none of you guys were here with us, they only way we would solve our problems is with fists flying. But you and Brooklynn are... So quick witted, that you will keep up the arguing. It will never stop until you are both in tears. Even then, you STILL will keep it up."

Yaz glares at him. "What, you and Kenji wouldn't keep beating the shit out of each other?"

"The fight will stop if one of us gives up or if we are both too tired to keep it up. The fight would last for a minute, two at the most." Darius tells her. "Can you guys PLEASE come to some sort of middle ground, and stop the arguing?"

"I can't believe you are making ME apologize to HER." Yaz says, with disgust in her voice.

Darius clarifies. "I am not making you, I am asking. And before you say it, I'll talk to Brooklynn about it too. I know that at times, she instigates it." Yaz doesn't budge. He sighs and says, "Fine. Can you just leave her alone then if you're not going to apologize?"

Yasmina says, "Fine. I can agree to that."

Darius sighs. "Can you guys just... Go do something?" Everyone leaves the base, doing what they were going to. Darius walks over to Brooklynn.

"Why does she hate me?" Brooklynn starts when Darius stands next to her. "What did I ever do to her?"

Darius shakes his head. "I don't know. But I need you both to stop jabbing each other. Because I can't concentrate on getting us out of here, AND solve some sort of in-fighting."

Brooklynn continues. "I just don't understand. Why does she go at me? She never goes after Sammy, or Ben, even KENJI, the asshole of the group. She doesn't even go at you that much."

"I don't know what it is, but can you just promise me that you'll try to not make a comment here and there that may get a reaction from Yaz?" Darius asks. "I'm not even asking you to apologize. I'm just asking for a cease fire."

Brooklynn groans and nods. "Am I just that bad of a person to be around?"

Darius didn't want to do this any longer, but he needed everyone to stay out of self doubt. "It's not just you. You're a pistol, yes. But at the same time, she has a short fuse. I know why you've got a lot to say and so much energy, but I don't know why she's got such a short fuse. I'll get to the bottom of it if you promise to just leave each other alone."

"Alright." Brooklynn says. They both continue to look out at the forest.

What am I gonna do with them? Darius wondered.

There you go. This one was long. What a twist huh? I saw a meme that said something along the lines that Dennis's flowery shirt matched Sammy's flowery tank top, and I just couldn't let it go. Hope you guys enjoyed, stay home, stay safe.
