Several hours Later on a planet some where in the outer rim.
Anakin looked forlornly at the shelves appon shelves of baby food and milk formula and not for the first time felt completely out of his depth. He looked at obi wan who was seated in child seat of the cart happily watching the other shoppers go about their business.
"I have no idea what to get you but some of these baby food combinations sound and look revolting Anakin told the baby, I mean this looks like swamp mud from Dagobar " Anakin muttered looking at jar of unappealing brownish green mush in his hand.
"Struggling to choose ? "a voice behind him asked. Anakin turned ready to grab Obi wan and run if the Jedi had found them again. But what he saw wasn't a Jedi but a young woman about his age.
"Sorry I heard you talking to your little boy and thought I might be able to help " she said . Anakin said " yes please do as I have no idea what is good out of this lot but some of it sounds inedible and Ben is my Nephew not my son , his parents died in a civil war on Stujohn a week ago " Anakin told her feeding her the story he had come up with to tell anyone who asked.
The young woman gave Anakin a sad and sympathetic look as she put a fair section of the baby food jars in the cart for him and said " I take it you were completely unprepared for taking care of a baby then?"
Anakin sighed and said "how can you tell was it the glazed stare while trying choose baby food or the mountain things that I probably don't need in the cart?"
She laughed slightly and said " both but it does get easier I was just like you a year ago , when I suddenly found myself the guardian of my orphaned baby niece ,I m Kyia by the way she added .
I'm Luke and thank you for your help kyia Anakin replied now. She smiled and well I better get going but hopefully I'll see you around Luke.
A Couple hours later back on the ship
"The ship is replaced and the stocked with enough diapers and baby food too ,last until I find a place to settle safely without the Jedi finding us " Anakin told force ghost Qui gon.
" I can see that but why the toy bantha?" the force ghost asked with a laugh as Anakin handed Obi wan the cuddle toy that he had refused to stop crying for until Anakin brought it.
Anakin rolled his eyes and said " he wanted it and he wouldn't stop crying until I put it in the cart! Besides it keeps him entertained and quite "Anakin added as he strapped Obi wan and his new toy into the baby seat that he had brought and the buckled the seat into the co pilot's chair.
Ten minutes later Anakin was preparing to take off when a tall figure that he knew all too well started to approach the space place . Anakin dropped the hyrospanner he had just finished making some adjustments to the ship with and bolted up the ramp and into the cockpit.
Moments later he was zipping off into space putting as much distance between the Jedi and obi wan as he could , he looked at Obi wan who was fast asleep cuddling the toy bantha that Obi wan had screamed his self almost blue for in the store and smiled and promised him self that he'd do everything he could to stop the Jedi from getting their hands on obi wan.
Back on The Jedi ship
Qui gon stood on the bridge of the ship giving a account of why he and Xantoes had yet again failed to recover the kidnapped force sensitive baby Obi wan Kenobi.
" So think that means harm to young Obi wan the kidnapper does not you do? " Yoda asked him now. "No I don't believe that he does intend to hurt the child , on contrary he seems to be trying to look after and protect the boy" Qui gon said now.
" But why would he want Kenobi in the first place ?" Mace said. " my friend is the question that and why is he so determined not to have us retrieve the child " Qui gon replied.
"Hmmm of great importance to our young kidnapper little Obi wan seems to be discover why you must Qui gon" Yoda said now .
"Yes master Yoda " Qui gon said and ended the holo call. Then he turned see Xantoes who had just entered bridge and said " I take it that you heard all of that ?"
" Yes Master " Xantoes replied looking slightly ashamed that he had been caught eves dropping on Qui gon's conversation with the Jedi council.
" Then you will understand why I want you to return to the temple , while I track down the kidnapper and find out what is so special about that baby and why that young man seems to hate the Jedi so much " Qui gon said now.
Meanwhile Back With Anakin ,Obi wan and Qui gon's Force Ghost.
It's time to find a planet to hide on and stop running Anakin thought to himself as he chose a planet set a course for it , He was planning to lure the Jedi knight who was following him in and make his move it was time for the cat and mouse game too end.
Just then Qui gon's ghost shimmered in "what in the stars are doing Ani do want to get caught !"he asked now ".
" No but I want to know what the Jedi are planning, Qui gon and to do that I have to talk to the one following us" Anakin told him.
The force ghost raised a eyebrow and said " and who is going to look after Obi wan while you are talking to the past me?"
Anakin looked over to where Obi wan was seated on the floor of the ship Playing with the little wooden animals that Anakin had carved from Jaipur wood for him.
Then Anakin sighed and said "I need discourage him from following us" Anakin told him as he started to open a comm link to the Jedi ship.
"I m sure you can cope with watching Obi wan for a little while Qui gon while I talk to past you" Anakin told him.
