T'was the Day Before Halloween

Danny Phantom is owned by Nickelodeon and Butch Hartman.
In hindsight, it was part of the charm of Amity Park: people were able to ignore the obvious even when it was standing in front of them.
The Junior Year Halloween Masquerade Ball was one of those things that had some potent insanity ahead. While the Ghosts were taking the day off with most of them remembering the whole mess with the Fright Knight last year, the ghosts had brought up a little bit of The Code and declared Halloween to be a Ghost-Free Day, much like Christmas Eve was.
"I can't believe you talked me INTO this," said Danny, pulling on the black and white hazmat suit. "There's no way someone isn't going to figure out who I am."
"Aw c'mon, it'll be fun," smirked Sam. She herself had messed up her hair and dressed in a dark jumpsuit of her own, denoting her as one of the famous Extreme Ghostbusters over in New York City. Tucker on the other hand went back to his King Tuck days and was dressed in linen. Danny was dressed like his other half, Danny Phantom and was doing a credible imitation of his ghostly heroic alter-ego.
Desending the stairs, Maddie Fenton looked up and gasped happily. "Aren't you three just precious!" she exclaimed happily. "Oh Danny, your hair's a mess. Here, lemme help you with that."
"Aw mom, quit it, Danny Phantom's hair is this messy," said Danny, trying to wrestle free of the Comb of Doom.
"GHOST!" cried Jack Fenton and in an instant, Danny was slimed by the Fenton Foamer. "I GOT YOU NOW, GHOST-KID!"
"Jack!" snapped Maddie sternly, "That was Danny in a Danny Phantom costume! Remember, this is Halloween!"
"Well at least he's got the ectoplasm now," joked Tucker and Sam elbowed him.
Jack wilted as he lowered the Foamer, and Danny brushed himself clean. "It's okay dad, maybe there's real ghosts out there this time."
"You're right son, and I'll be the one to catch em tonight!" With that, the bear of a man known as Jack Fenton rushed out, pausing to grab a bar of fudge on the way out.
"Gotta catch em all I guess," remarked Danny wryly.
"Wow, this place is a madhouse," remarked Danny, walking into the gym where the Ball was set up. Kids of all ages were dressed in costume, many of them wearing masks. Danny ducked a low moving tray and exclaimed, "Hey, watch it!"
"You watch it Fen-TON," snarked Dash Baxter. The boy was dressed in a sharp suit and was carrying a tray with some drinks to a group of the popular kids. "Nice outfit loser, did your momma make it?"
"Knock it off Dash, before that tuxedo chokes the remaining brain cells in your head," snapped Sam. Dash fumed but backed off, wandering into the crowd.
"Well, told ya. They don't suspect a thing."
"They're right about one thing, Ghost-Child," rumbled a deep voice and Danny whirled about to see Skulker at the buffet table. "What?"
"What're you doing here?" demanded Danny.
"These humans believe me to be in costume. While the code doesn't allow me to attack tonight, as per revised subsection paragraph C, I can still make trouble for you by lurking amidst the shadows of the tables." Skulker sipped his drink and said, "Did you know this punch is spiked?"
"…" offered Danny, Sam and Tucker, a moment before the lights went out and spotlights focused on the band: a motley crew no less, the lead guitar by Ember, the Box Ghost in drums and Technus at the keyboard.
"AMITY PARK, ARE YOU READY TO ROCK?!" Crowed Ember and the teens broke out into raucous applause.
"I told you," howled Tucker over the music Ember was belting out, "no one notices a thing!"
"See? You could walk out there AS Danny Phantom and not worry," grinned Sam and Danny chuckled.
"Ah, the life of a Superhero is never dull."
