Sorry for the big delay

Happy NewYear!

Let me know if the Dark Lord has got a good idea.

All characters belong to NBC

I can hear Karen hovering about me wondering what I'm scribbling and muttering to myself. It's so endearing. Makes me love her, even more. He started wondering about Marilyn, she would have been ninety-six this year. How would she find Derek and the others taking up her story? Did they have it right? And not playing on some of the exaggerated version of her life?

I would have loved to talk to her and getting her take on how she saw the studio's control of her and what she wanted to really happen to do with her own production company. He knew that there was a book called Bombshell. It was to do with the Kennedy's and what they thought about Marilyn and if they had anything to do with what happened to her. Derek didn't want to read it; he didn't want it to change his opinion, especially after all these years. She after was a person who had feelings and brains, though nobody wanted that to be shown to the world.

I looked through all of the show, I could see why, but surely theatre etiquette meant people would pay attention to the show. Mr and Mrs Smith jumped out at him. The early days of their marriage. Maybe reprise it? Maybe after Joe brings her back home? They could be thinking back. Just sitting, maybe Marilyn just starts humming and Joe remembers and maybe joins in. Something like

"No early calls,

No big premieres

No less romantic theme

We'll spend the nights

Making our own

Little league baseball team

We're no one you've ever seen

Movie stars don't live anywhere here

Except on the local drive-in screen

Yes I'd gladly disappear

If it might guarantee a view of

No one but Mr

No one but Mrs Smith and You"

Derek could work it in, without losing other scenes and still keeping the running time the same. Maybe they could talk about Arthur. Arthur had found her after she had taken too many barbiturates. After her miscarriage. He called a doctor, who promptly came and pumped out her stomach. Derek had read it in an article online that it stated that Miller would end up saving her from suicide three times. Yet Joe wondered why had he been called to take her home after getting her out of the mental hospital and not Arthur? That would be an interesting scene to show. It would intrigue the audience. It was intriguing him. So he thought the Dark Lord had found a way to get the audience back in. "Karen, I'm going to the theatre to see if I can add a scene and keep the feel of Boston. Back soon".

…..

Karen knew he would probably end up sleeping there at some point, as he hadn't had any sleep at all. His Boston work ethic had come back. She smiled and thought maybe she should bring him to a cafe near the theatre later and remind him of their early days. Just like Joe and Marilyn. She knew if she looked at Derek even now, she would still blush. He was her Joe - her beautiful Dark Lord. (Oh those circles) she thought. She would find the Dark Lord later, but now, let him shout, bellow and mutter to himself. Just as it should be!
