*Ben POV*
We spent a few days in Monaco to relax after the big heist in Paris. With Dimitri out of the picture, we sight our sights on the next member of the Klaww Gang; Rajan, who was also the main distributor of the illegal spice.
Born in poverty, Rajan built up his criminal empire by selling illegal spices on the black market. He soon formed a sizable operation and in his adulthood, the Klaww Gang brought him into their fold.
He soon crowned himself 'Lord of the Hills' and while he tried to convince others of his presumed 'royalty', we figure it's mostly to convince himself. He's currently holding a lavish ball at his 'ancestral palace' in India. It's there he's showing off his treasured prize; Clockwerk's Wings.
He believes they will bring him prestige. Maybe they will, but they are also bringing us and those wings are coming with us TONIGHT.
After things had been set up in the safehouse, Ben and Sly snuck through a balcony door that led into Rajan's Palace. The blood brothers turned invisible to make sure they weren't seen by anybody as they took some recon photos.
"Sly, you take a few photos of Rajan and the Clockwerk Wings. Ben, you take a few shots of the guests. We might know what we're up against."
As Sly took pictures of Rajan, Clockwerk's Wings, and an electronic winch in the ceiling, Ben took pictures of the guests. The other members of the Klaww Gang were there, including Jean Bison and Arpeggio but members of Interpol were also there and they consisted of Carmelita, Neyla, and The Contessa.
"Wow, she looks good in that dress..." Ben muttered as he zoomed in on Neyla. Sly smirked when he noticed his brother's nose was bleeding heavily. After the pictures were all taken, the duo made their way back to the Safehouse and Bentley looked over the photos before setting up his plan.
"Stealing the Clockwerk Wings in the middle of a crowded ballroom is going to take some serious misdirection! And the squad of undercover cops only makes things more complicated! Although...we may just be able to use them to our advantage...but no matter what we do in the ballroom, sooner or later we'll need to deal with Rajan's security chopper. Murray can take it out with some of the local armaments, but he and I can't get into the palace until someone lowers the drawbridge for us."
"Think you can handle the drawbridge, Sly? I want to get a few steps into that party." Ben said as Sly nodded, grinning playfully.
"I was gonna let you do that anyway because I saw how you were looking at Neyla. But still, be sure to give a good word to Carmelita while you're at it."
Ben blushed but nodded his head bashfully before using the techniques of Thaddeus Winslow Cooper III to suit up in a fancy tuxedo and even apply some fake facial hair to gain that Michael Buble look.
"Alright, this'll do nicely! With this, I'll try and ask Neyla to do a little tango with me and if all goes well, I'll put in a good word for Sly to dance with Carmelita and maybe me having an encore with the lovable Constable."
"Ingenious! If you two dance with them, the entire ballroom would be distracted, allowing us to get the wings down without any suspicion!" Bentley said, approving of the plan.
"Knock 'em dead, Ben!" Murray said, giving his friend a slap on the back as Ben chuckled as he snuck to the ballroom while Sly went to collect keys from the guards patrolling outside to unlock the drawbridge for Bentley and Murray.
Ben soon came to the entrance to the ballroom and knocked on the door, a peephole opening to reveal a pair of eyes.
"Hello there. I'm here for the dance."
The guard behind the door looked Ben over and nodded his head. "Come on in, sir."
Ben chuckled as he headed into the ballroom and looked over the people gathered. He then noticed his target and approached her.
"Hello, Kitten."
"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Neyla asked with her eyebrow raised.
"I believe we ran into each other in Paris at some point?"
Neyla's eyes widened in recognition. "Well, well, well, Phantom Joker! I don't suppose you're here to turn yourself in or are you here for the wings?"
"The second thing. Dimitri was more than happy to hand us the Tail Feathers when we told him the truth of what your boss was planning."
Neyla furrowed her brow. "You really are a devious little blighter, aren't you?"
"Well, I can't help it. I'm one of the idiots who live in this world and I'd appreciate it if I saved it from Clockwerk's wrath."
"Alright then, I guess I'll give you a pass then. I can respect a man who sticks to his morals." Neyla then blushed a little. "I hope you wouldn't mind a dance?"
"That's exactly why I came here. See, my friend is coming to the party later and I wanna see if I can put a good word for him to your partner."
"We'll see if you're good enough."
Ben smirked and took Neyla's hands as he led her in a lavish tango. The Tigress was shocked at how strong yet firm Ben's hold was as he took her in a dip, her raven locks flowing in the air as she couldn't help but stare into his hazelnut eyes.
"Did anyone ever tell you that your eyes were quite fetching?" Neyla asked as Ben grinned.
"I've been told my eyes are unique, yes."
As Ben and Neyla danced, they began attracting the attention of a few of the guests, especially Rajan, who seemed quite intrigued by Ben's movements.
"That boy is very graceful."
Jean Bison, who was standing beside his partner, snorted. "If only you handled spice shipments as well."
Rajan gave an annoyed growl in response. "Silence."
Soon, Ben and Neyla finished their dance in one final dip, Neyla raising one leg high in the air as her nose almost touched with Ben. He soon pulled her back up and got down on one knee, kissing the back of her hand.
"Thank you for the dance, love."
Carmelita soon approached the two, having been watching their dance. "Well, Neyla, it looks like your friend is quite the accomplished dancer."
"I tried to make him look good," Neyla smirked as Ben placed a hand to his heart.
"Oh, you wound me so, dear!"
Carmelita chuckled. "Please Neyla, he was totally leading you the whole time."
"Well, I have a friend whose coming later that is very interested in meeting you, Ms. Fox. I hope you don't mind."
Carmelita smiled. "Well, if he's as good as you are, I think I might enjoy myself."
With his mission complete, Ben took his leave but suddenly felt his ass getting smacked. Silently yelping, he turned to see Neyla smirking at him and wiggling her fingers playfully at him. Blushing, Ben scuttered off and made his way back to the Safehouse. Along the way, he saw that Sly had managed to lower the drawbridge.
"How did you do, Ben?" Murray asked as he had also finished shooting out the security chopper
"I did pretty well, I think. Also, Sly, Carmelita is expecting a dance with you later."
Sly smirked as he and Ben high-fived. "I owe you one, Brother."
Bentley soon got another slideshow ready since Ben had managed to get Sly a dance with Carmelita and Murray had taken out the security chopper and the drawbridge had been lowered.
"Okay, guys we need to pull a few more jobs before we go for the heist. First, we'll all go to the guard's boardroom so I can get us access to the electronic winch above the ballroom. We'll also need an extra-strong saw blade to cut the wings free, so Sly and Ben will be in charge of freeing Rajan's prize elephants and steal the jewels off their headdresses. And finally, I'll take to the field with my RC Chopper. We'll need clear skies and ground for the heist, so I'll take care of Rajan's surface-to-air defenses. Let's go."
"Sounds like a plan, Bents! Let's kick some ass!"
"The Murray is all for kicking butt!"
