A/N: Surprise! Since I started liking Pokémon again (well, more than before, anyway), I decided to write a Pokémon story. This one takes place in the Kalos region, but this time, instead of just Mega Evolution for Pokémon, there would also be the use of Burst Gems from the Pokemon spin-off manga called "Pokémon RéBURST", which allow its users to become Pokémon Warriors with certain Burst Gems turning them into certain Pokémon (depending on the gem used). In other words, people would actually get to become Pokémon themselves! And the best part is as Pokémon themselves, they can actually hear other Pokémon talk like people as well. As for the characters, there are some certain friends who are coming to the Kalos region as well. Maybe you know them. :) Oh, and the story would also take some major story elements from a game I recently tried out on the Wii. It's called "Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness" (although it's actually a Nintendo GameCube game), although there would be some differences to help it be more lively, especially when it takes place in the Kalos Region this time. Not to worry, though. Orre would still have a part in this somehow. Anyway, the game was really great (even if I didn't get to clear much of the game), so I thought I'd make a story out of it. :) Also, here is the cast for below.

And one more thing. Before anyone asks why "Mewtwo Strikes Back" seems to be happening again, there would also be a major change in Mewtwo's history where his attack would begin in the Kalos Region much later instead of the Kanto like in the original, as well as one other change that I can't tell you much about yet. If you're wondering why, let's just say a certain character from Mewtwo Origins' has a key role in the story. What that role is, I can't say. For now, enjoy.
Pokémon the Series XD: Gale of Darkness
Chapter 1: Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!
It all started one night as a sort of odd Pokémon in a giant tube was stirring awake. This Pokémon is bipedal and humanoid with some feline features. It is primarily gray with a long, purple tail. On top of its head are two short, blunt horns, and it has purple eyes. A tube extended from the back of its skull to the top of its spine, bypassing its neck. It has a defined chest and shoulders, which resemble a breastplate. The three digits on each hand and foot have spherical tips. Its tail is thick at the base but thins before ending in a small bulb.
"Who... am I? Why...am I here? No. I am simply here. I haven't emerged into this world.", Mewtwo thought.
"Doctor, look at this.", one of the scientists spoke.
"What?", a man named Dr. Fuji puzzled.
"Its brain waves, they're surging!", the scientist responded.
"Let me see!", the doctor urged.
"She's right!", another urged.

"Let's run another scan.", the doctor urged.
"lts mind is racing!", the scientist urged just as the Pokémon widened its eyes and gave a slight groan, which rose as the glass cracked before it broke apart, alerting Dr. Fuji and the others to it.
"Mewtwo...", one of the researchers spoke.
"Radio Giovanni's helicopter! Tell him what's happened!", another urged.
"Quiet! Let us hear its psychic powers.", Dr. Fuji spoke.
"It's finally awakened...", one of the researchers spoke.
"Mewtwo?", Mewtwo thought out loud, puzzling the group, although one was able to make a guess about it.
"Telepathy.", the researcher spoke.
"Mewtwo. That is your name. We have given life to you, using the rarest of Pokémon as a basis. Yes. That is the rarest of the world's Pokémon, Mew. ", Dr. Fuji introdued.
"Mew? Would that be my parent? My father? My mother?", Mewtwo puzzled.
"Maybe either, or... maybe neither.", Dr. Fuji responded, puzzling the cloned Pokémon.
"Your existence is based on Mew, but you were created to be even stronger.", Dr. Fuji responded.
"Who created me? Neither Father nor Mother... Then..., nature. Then, are you saying that I was created by nature?", Mewtwo asked.
"In this world, only two things can create life: nature and human science.", Dr. Fuji responded.
"You did...?! You...humans made me?", Mewtwo puzzled in shock.
"Congratulations. We've done an excellent job.", one of the researchers spoke.
"We'll observe Mewtwo for mutations.", another added.
"ls the new tank ready?", the researcher
"No, we'll have to come up with a cage for it.", another replied.
"Excellent. We'll begin testing right away.", another responded.
"Who am I...? Where am I? For what purpose was I created?!", Mewtwo demanded as his blue aura started to glow with the tubes starting to crack apart before Mewtwo's eyes glowed briefly, causing the tubes to break apart with Mewtwo grunting as he stretched out his arms and released a shock wave that knocked the researchers back.
No sooner had this happened that mechanical arms from Mewtwo's tube grabbed Mewtwo only for them to be destroyed with but a glare from his eyes, two more following soon after, causing explosions left and right and prompting the researchers to run in panic while Dr. Fuji stared in disbelief at the chaos being sown before Mewtwo parted the fires a little in midair.
"We dreamed of creating the world's strongest Pokémon...", Dr. Fuji spoke before a big blue barrier appeared from around Mewtwo.
"...and we succeeded.", Dr. Fuji added before the barrier expanded, causing a massive explosion on the island laboartory, destorying everything and everyone in it, not knowing that a certain man and Persian were watching form a helicopter just as Mewtwo was now surveying the ruins of the laboratory.

"Is this my powers? Am I the most powerful Pokémon in the world? Mew... Am I stronger than you?", Mewtwo asked before a man named Giovanni and his partner stepped forward from within the flames.
"It's true that you may be the world's most powerful Pokémon, But the world has one other life-form.", Giovanni stated.
"Humans.", Mewtwo guessed.
"Those fools thought you were nothing more than a science experiment... but l see you as a valuable partner.", Giovanni responded.
"Partner?", Mewtwo puzzled.
"If you were to join forces with humans, the world would belong to us.", Giovanni responded.
"The world would belong to us...", Mewtwo repeated.
"However, if you were to simply let your powers loose, the world's destruction would be the only outcome. After all, a wildfire destroys everything in its path. It will be the same with your powers unless you control them. That is why your powers must be controlled.", Giovanni stated.
"Controlled?", Mewtwo puzzled.
"Will you let them run wild and do to the world the same thing you did to this island?", Giovanni asked.
"What must I do?", Mewtwo asked.
"Trust me and I'll show you a way to focus your powers that will make you invincible.", Giovanni responded.

Elsewhere in a different region at the same time, one night, a cruise known as the S.S. Libra was sailing across the ocean when the captain of the cruise turned to the navigator, who was apparently wearing an elegant attire similar to Kalos' very champion herself.
"Uh, what's with the getup?", the captain puzzled.
"Aw come on, Captain. Can't you get how this is mondo cool?", the navigator asked, not knowing that several helicopters were circling around the cruise before they even went passed the main windshield, puzzling the captain before, a moment afterward, a most awful shadow loomed over, revealing the source to be a Pokémon that resembles a dragon, a plesiosaur, and a bird, although it is primarily dark purple with a silver underside with slightly varying tones, a ridged mouth similar to a beak, although it has pointed teeth on its lower jaw, its head has a point to the back, and red eyes , which have silver rings on them, a long, slender neck and a smooth, streamlined body with silver plate-like protrusions running down the length of its back with two smaller, more pointed ones on the end of its tail, and large wings that resemble hands.
"Lugia...?!", the navigator puzzled in shock.
"What the...?", the captain spoke in shock before Lugia screeched with one of the helicopter drivers turning to Shadow Lugia, a red flash lighting up on the glasses before the same flash appeared in Lugia's eyes, making it screech before it then fired a beam on the cruise, lifting it up instead of hitting the ship, although it caused both the captain and the navigator to fall off into the water from the shaking.
Lugia screeched darkly as it then took the ship away with the helicopters following Lugia as the captain and navigator looked on.
"Wonder what that was about...?", the navigator spoke.
"I don't know... Something tells me we're in trouble.", the captain responded as Lugia and the helicopters faded away from the line of sight.

Meanwhile, later, after working with Giovanni for some time, Mewtwo, now enveloped in armor, had some thinking to do as it asked itself something that had long since been unanswered for some time now.
"Who am I? For what reason do I live?", Mewtwo asked before it heard footsteps and looked up.
"To serve your master. You were created to fight for me. That is your purpose.", Giovanni responded.
"Are you telling me to fight for you? Is that what you mean? Are you saying that I must fight for humans?", Mewtwo asked.
"You were created by humans to obey humans. You could never be our equal.", Giovanni responded.
"I was created by humans, but I am not human. And as an artificial Pokémon, I am not a Pokémon either!", Mewtwo shouted as it started to break free from the wires.

"Stop this now!", Giovanni ordered.
"I was not born a Pokémon! I was created. And my creators have used and betrayed me. So..., I! Stand! Alone!", Mewtwo proclaimed before emitting a shockwave that sent the place shaking before it then raised its barrier and unleashed it, destroying the building in the process before Mewtwo took off in the air, the armor falling off piece by piece before Mewtwo eventually returned to the ruined laboratory, the helmet falling onto the ground before Mewtwo looked up, briefly seeing the mountains, which faded away to show only the ocean in front of him.
"Who am l? Where am I? Who wanted me to be created? Who asked for me to be created? I despise everything connected with my creation! And so..., this is neither attack... nor decleration of war. You are the ones who created me. And I... will strike back... against YOU!", Mewtwo proclaimed.

First, it showed the two words, "Pokémon" and "XD" appearing pitch black with red light shining as the outline before 3 words in white, which are, "Gale", "of", and "Darkness" zipped by from below the two words as red swirls followed by and formed on the "D", which is revealed to have a head of Shadow Lugia, whose eye glowed red with a flash for a moment before a golden bar shaped around the logo appeared with "The Series" appearing just below "Pokémon" and "Gale of Darkness"by zooming into the space between them to form, "Pokémon the Series XD: Gale of Darkness" with the red flash appearing again, but this time, brighter than before before it then showed Ash, Pikachu, Misty, Brock, May, Max, Michael, Ryoga, Miruto, Jovi, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie on a grassy hill before it then showed Ash, Misty, and Brock in the close-up, the images of which turned blue as it then showed Ash, Misty, and Brock giving their Pokémon some food, a close-up of May and Max (which turned orange for May and green for Max) next to the two siblings practicing a Pokémon battle, a close-up of Michael and Jovi (which turned the same color as the former's hair) with the two riding on a motor scooter with the latter squealing happily as she held on tightly to Michael, who had some trouble staying balanced, although it was not impossible as he gave a slightly nervous grin, Ryoga and Miruto's close-up (which turned lavender purple) with Ryoga and Miruto walking down a road as the former giving a chuckle and a thumbs-up while Miruto only sighed, Serena's close-up (which turned pink) with Serena deciding which hat to wear as Fennekin jumped around her giddily, and finally, Clemont and Bonnie's (which turned teal for Clemont and yellow for Bonnie) with Clemont making something as Bonnie chased after Chespin and caught him with a hug just as Clemont's machine blew up before then showing Meowth looking through his binoculars only to lose his balance and get grabbed by Jesse and James just as Wobbuffet appeared behind them, surprising the two before they fell along with Meowth, making Wobbuffet give an exclamation-mark shaped sweat mark before then showing a dark panel opening with Shadow Lugia slowly peeping its head out from its wings and ominously looking up as its red eyes flashed.
I wanna be the very best
Like no one ever was
To catch them is my real test
To train them is my cause
I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
Teach Pokémon to understand
The power that's inside
Then, it showed Ash urging Pikachu into battle before it then used Quick Attack with Chespin using Pin Missile and Bunelby using dig with Clemont's silhouette shown, Dedenne using thunderbolt with Bonnie's silhouette present, Fennekin using ember with Serena's silhouette, Froakie using Water Pulse with Ash's Silhouette, Gyarados firing Hydro Pump with Misty's silhouette, Steelix using Iron tail with Brock's silhouette, Blaziken using fire blast with May's silhouette, and Sceptile using Leaf Blade with Max's silhouette before then showing Fletchling using Steel Wing and Pikachu using Electro Ball before then showing a symbol for Mega Evolution in flames before revealing Mega Lucario roaring just below said symbol and then going up to the night sky to show Mewtwo giving a glare as he floated in midair behind the full moon as its eyes glowed brightly. After that, it then showed Michael using the Aura reader to discover a shadow Pokémon with Michael then using a Poké Ball to snag said Shadow Pokémon, but not before Eevee tackled it, successfully before it then showed a Burst Gem shining in the light to show Max in a sort of hybrid from between human and Sceptile with Brock in a similar hybrid form, but as a Steelix with Misty in a sort of golden-furred canine form, but with her orange hair still present and May in a light green body with four legs, green spots, green vines around her head (with which there are 2), Ryoga (in Zekrom hybrid form), a little blue-haired girl with the tail, ears, and nose of a certain mythical Pokémon, and Pikachu and Ash (now in Pikachu form, but with his hat and normal eyes) running forward before jumping up with Ash and Pikachu preparing thunderbolt in midair with the blue-haired girl now in Mew form above them as Ryoga jumped up and stretched out his right hand, making a small blue orb of electricity before Ash and Pikachu's combined thunderbolts merged with Ryoga's own Electro Ball, which was then launched forward with a thrust of his right hand before it showed the Pokémon logo appearing in a sort of red background with a black line down the middle with "Gotta Catch 'Em All" appearing just below the logo before it then zoomed away from the Pokémon logo with "XD" fading in next to it with black mists before the logo appearance from the opening of the intro.
[Chorus]
(Pokémon, gotta catch 'em all) It's you and me
I know it's my destiny

Our courage will pull us through
You teach me and I'll teach you

The next morning, a small bird Pokémon named Fletchling flew inside through the window as a woman was cooking breakfast, although cutting lettuces at the moment.
"Fletchling, wake up Serena for me, would you? Of course I already tried once, but as usual once is never enough.", the woman requested before Fletchling then flew up to the stairs and then entered the bedroom, albeit by squeezing itself through the crack of the door and went toward a young girl sleeping in her bed before pecking her, waking her up with a scream as a Pokémon named Rhyhorn overheard this and grew worried as its eyes were widened.
The girl's mother, Grace, in the other hand, gave a grin.
"Good. Looks like we're all ready.", Grace grinned.
Back at the bedroom, Fletchling landed on the table gently as a stuffed Bulbasaur doll landed on Serena, who sat up, looking quite annoyed with the little bird Pokémon.
"I've told you a million times not to wake me up like that!", Serena exclaimed as Fletchling only tilted its head slightly, prompting Serena to pounce and try to catch Fletchling but missed, landing on the table.
"Huh? Aw...", Serena groaned as Fletchling landed on her head.
"Serena! Time for morning training!", Grace shouted, making Serena groan again, making a slightly puffed up face.
"Right! Not again...", Serena grande as she stood up before she opened the window and spotted Rhyhorn.
"Morning, Rhyhorn!", Serena shouted while waving to Rhyhorn, who grunted in reply as it turned to see her.
"Hope today's interesting.", Serena grinned before Fletchling then flew out of the window to the sky, the view of the Kalos region seen below everywhere before eventually going to the airplane with 2 people inside, one of which had a yellow mouse Pokémon with him.
Narrator: The Kalos Region, like the other regions a beautiful place where People and Pokemon live in harmony, reflecting each other's thoughts and feelings. When people smile, Pokemon smile. And when Pokemon cry, you'll find that people are crying as well. And here a certain young man is about to arrive. A young man is seeking new dreams, and new adventures.
"Yeah, we'll be on the ground soon.", Ash grinned.
"Ash, you and Pikachu must be really excited.", Alexa guessed.
"We're starting a brand new adventure. There is nothing more excited to a Pokemon Trainer.", Ash responded.
"Pikachu.", Pikachu agreed.
Ash Ketchum (V.O.): Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin!
Later, the plane landed as Ash and Pikachu came out of the plane.
"Hey, Kalos Region! Ash from pallet town is finally here!", Ash shouted.
"PIKACHUUUUUU!", Pikachu added excitedly.
"What's with all the yelling?", Alexa asked as she walked out.
"Just saying hi to the Kalos Region. And as soon as I walk down theses steps, we'll finally be here.", Ash responded before he and Pikachu noticed two Spritzees dancing in the air.
"Never seen those Pokemon before.", Ash spoke in awe before Ash took a slight misstep and fell down the steps, albeit comically.
A moment after, Alexa helped Ash up just as a few old foes, which turned out to be Team Rocket, was spying on Ash and Pikachu via binoculars as Jessie chuckled.
"A typical twerp entrance.", Meowth commented.
"And with Pikachu too.", James added before Wobbuffet popped out of Jesse's Poké Ball.
"Then it's all in place. Let's get to work.", Jessie grinned.
"Wobbuffet!", Wobbuffet agreed.
Meanwhile, Ash was going over his goals in the Kalos region.
"First thing I want to do is have gym battle.", Ash grinned.
"Just a minute. So where are you planning to go for a gym battle?", Alexa asked.
"Oh, that's an easy one. Your younger sister's a gym leader, right? At her gym.", Ash responded.
"Wait, I'm sorry to disappoint you, but her gym isn't here in Lumiose City. I'm afraid it's located in Santalune City.", Alexa responded.
"What?!", Ash exclaimed.
"Pika?!", Pikachu exclaimed at the same time.
"What'll I do now...", Ash groaned.
"Pika pika...", Pikachu groaned.
"Hold on, I'll go and give her a call right away. I'll see you in the lobby!", Alexa assured as she ran off.
"Thanks.", Ash responded.
Then, the duo started walking to the lobby.
"Pika pika?", Pikachu puzzled.
"I wonder if there are any Pokémon around.", Ash pondered before suddenly, a shadow of a certain Pokémon figure appeared, prompting Ash to look up and see Blaziken in a sort of different form before it jumped over Ash and Pikachu as it left.
"Hey, Pikachu. See that?", Ash asked.
"Pika.", Pikachu responded before it and Ash got excited.
"OH, YEAH!", Ash shouted.
"Hey, Ash!", a voice shouted, puzzling him.
And sure enough, when Ash turned around, he saw none other than his first two compatriots: Misty and Brock.
"I was hoping we'd find you here.", Brock responded.
"I can't believe it... Misty! Brock!", Ash shouted happily as he ran toward the two.
"Pika, pi!", Pikachu shouted excitedly as it dashed toward them as well before Misty and Brock became surprised by how fast Ash and Pikachu ran.
"Hey, easy, now!", Brock exclaimed.
"Not so fast, guys!", Misty added before Ash leapt up and hugged the two, although not without them falling into the ground comically.
"Oops. Sorry, guys.", Ash apologized with a nervous grin.
"Oh, Ash. Never a dull moment with you, is it?", Misty sighed with a grin as she sat up.
"Pika, Pika.", Pikachu added.
"Yeah. You practically hit like a train and then some.", Brock agreed as he and Misty got up.
"It's so good to see you guys! You came to the Kalos Region, too?!", Ash asked as he got up.
"Yeah. We just recently heard about it, so that's where we headed.", Misty responded.
"But what about the Cerulean Gym?", Ash puzzled.
"I asked my sisters to take over while we're gone.", Misty responded.
"Same for you, Brock?", Ash guessed.
"Yeah. My family offered to help look after the gym on my end as well.", Brock responded.
"Wow. So, how are they doing these days?", Ash asked.
"Still a bit of a handful, but they are family.", Brock responded just a couple more familiar people arrived nearby and saw some familiar faces in surprise before one of them grinned and tossed out a Pokéball, which released a Beautifly, which then flew over to Ash, Misty, and Brock.
"Hey, look. A Beautifly.", Ash spoke before Misty and Brock turned to notice it and saw the same thing he saw.
"Wow. As far as bug Pokémon go, this one is way less creepy.", Misty grinned.
"Wait. That means...", Brock began.
"Yoo-hoo! Long time no see!", the girl named May shouted as she and the little boy, Max, ran over to catch up to Ash and the others.
"May? Max?", the trio spoke up in unison.
"You guys, too? What are you all doing here?", Ash spoke in amazement.
"We just heard about what the Kalos Region has to offer, so, we decided to come here.", Max explained.
"We just didn't think we'd see you here, Ash.", May added in slight surprise with a grin.
"What a coincidence. I didn't think Misty or Brock would be here, either. What a surprise, huh, Pikachu?", Ash responded.
"Pika.", Pikachu agreed.
Meanwhile, another trainer was in a sort of battle with a Salamance going up against a Metagross.
"All right, Salamance! Use Earthquake!", the trainer urged before Salamance then roared, causing a quake that caused two precipices of rock to emerge, striking the Metagross once before it then heard its trainer shout to it.
"Use Sludge Bomb, Metagross!", the opponent shouted before it used Sludge Bomb as best it could, hitting Salamance as it was forced back a few feet.
"Are you okay, Salamance?", the young trainer asked before Salamance turned to the trainer and grunted in reply with a nod.
"Use it again!", the opponent shouted before Metagross prepares another Sludge Bomb.
"Dodge it and use Earthquake again!", the trainer shouted before Metagross fired a Sludge Bomb, which then got dodged with Salamance delivering another earthquake, which this time, sent Metagross flying in the air before landing on the ground hard, hazy as its eyes turned into comical swirls.
"Metagross is unable to battle. The match goes to Salamance.", the computer voice spoke up as both the Metagross, its trainer, and Salamance disappeared like data.
"Simulation completed.", the computer voice added.
"All right, Michael. This will do for today.", a voice spoke before an apparent capsule opened up, releasing him before he grinned as he looked up and stepped out of it.
Narrator: "This young man is Michael, a boy who had recently moved into the Kalos Region with his mother and little sister and aspires to become the greatest Pokémon trainer from the Orre Region."
"So, how did I do?", Michael asked.
"That was a well-played battle! Michael, your battle skills have improved by an amazing amount. I mean, it was impressive the way you handled that big Pokémon with aplomb! You even took command of it as if it were the same as your Eevee.", the battle coach spoke.
"Well, all Pokémon are all the same and unique at the same time, aren't they?", Michael asked.
"If you say so, sure... But don't you think it's time that you consider raising other Pokémon besides your Eevee?", the battle coach asked.
"Well..., it's just that this Eevee belonged to my dad. I know he's not here anymore. But that's why I want to take care of it for him. I need to.", Michael responded.
"All right, look. I get that you want to respect your old man's wishes and all. I'm just saying that you at least gotta have some variety sooner or later, is all.", the battle coach responded.
"You might have a point. Tell you what. I'll go check out the other Pokémon at Kalos and see how they are first. Then, I'll know what to add next to Eevee.", Michael spoke.
"Okay. That works.", the battle coach spoke.
"Yeah. Well, see ya.", Michael spoke as he left before a feminine voice called him.
"Hi, Michael! Have you finished training?", the man shouted before Michael ran over to him.
"Yeah, Professor Krane! I just finished up.", Michael replied as he caught up.
"Hold on just a minute.", the mother spoke, surprising Michael.
"Huh?!", Michael exclaimed.
"This is the director's office. Did you want to pay a visit to Professor Krane?", the woman asked, making Krane laugh a bit.
"Mom...", Michael groaned.
"You don't need to be that stiffly official, Lily.", Krane assured.
"But...", Lily began.
"Oh, yeah. I've heard the battle coach singing praises about you, Michael.", Krane grinned.
"You have?", Michael asked.
"Yep. From what I've heard, your battling skills have improved dramatically recently. That's fantastic, Michael. Even I don't think I could hold a candle to you.", Krane stated before laughing.
"Maybe not. But you'd still be tough to beat.", Michael responded.
"I just wish everyone wouldn't drown them with such gushing praise all the time. I swear, my son and daughter could be spoiled rotten.", Lily responded exasperatedly.
"Well, thankfully, there's nothing to worry about. Both Michael and Jovi are wonderful kids.", Krane responded.
"Hey. Although, now that you mention it, where is Jovi?", Michael puzzled.
"Come to think of it, I haven't seen her since lunchtime. You see, several research projects are in their critical phases in this lab. That's why your mother can't afford to take any time off right now. I hate to bother you like this, but could you go find Jovi for me?", Lily asked.
"Sure. I'll go look for her.", Michael offered.
"Thank you, Michael. I don't think she could've gone far, but just in case, you'd better check outside, too.", Lily responded.
"Got it. But are you sure you can't help at least for a little bit?", Michael asked.
"Sorry, Michael. After five long years, this project is finally on the verge of coming together. For that to happen, we just can't do it without your mother's expertise.", Professor Krane responded before remembering something.
"Oh! And before you go, there's one more thing. I left a PDA in your room for you.", Krane spoke.
"PDA?", Michael puzzled.
"It's short for Pokémon Digital Assistant. It's a very useful electronic tool. It could even be used for E-Mail among other things. I think you'll find its many features useful. The PDA's even easy to use, too.", Krane explained.
"You sure?", Michael asked.
"I'm confident that you'll figure it out in no time.", Professor Krane assured.
"Okay.", Michael spoke before he then went to his room.
"Wow. Looks like Jovi's had the run of my room lately.", Michael spoke before noticing the PDA on his desk.
"Wow. So, that's the PDA.", Michael spoke before he picked it up and got a notification on the device.
"Huh? An E-Mail? Already?", Michael puzzled before checking said e-mail and noticing it reads, "If you're reading this E-Mail, then you must have obtained the PDA. There are still some features you can use in the future. By the way, Adon was playing hide-and-seek with Jovi. Why not have a chat with him?".
"Adon, huh?", Michael puzzled to himself.
Eventually, Michael found himself in a sort of room where someone was hiding underneath a table.
"Hey, there!", Michael shouted, surprising Adon.
"Wah! You startled me!", Adon exclaimed.
"Sorry about that. So, you're Adon, right?", Michael guessed.
"Yeah. You guessed it.", Adon responded.
"Do you know where Jovi is, by any chance?", Michael asked.
"You're looking for her? We're supposed to be playing hide-and-seek right now, but isn't she around anywhere?", Adon asked.
"No. Any idea where she might be?", Michael asked.
"Well, maybe she's gone off to Dr. Kaminko's manor. It's a big, weird house southeast of Lumiose City.", Adon replied.
"Huh. Guess I'd better get her back from there, then.", Michael grinned.
"And please hurry. Jovi's 'it' in our game of hide-and-seek. My back is already starting to hurt up a storm in here.", Adon groaned.
"You got it, Adon. I'll hurry this up.", Michael responded before he ran out and went down the road.
Meanwhile, at the lobby, Helioptile yawned as Ash, Misty, Brock, May, and Max ran by.
"Helioptile! We just saw the coolest thing! And we got some company here, too!", Ash grinned.
"Who's that Pokémon, Ash?", Max asked.
"Oh, this? That's Helioptile.", Ash replied.
"Wow. A new Pokémon already?", Misty asked.
"Actually, this one belongs to Alexa. Speaking of, where did Alexa go?", Ash asked.
"Tile.", Helioptile responded, pointing to where Alexa is just as she hung up with a worried expression.
"Hey, there she is.", May spoke.
"Alexa!", Ash shouted as he and the others caught up.
"What's with all the excitement?", Alexa asked.
"We just got a look at another new Pokemon! It was so amazing, it made this jump and flew right over our heads!", Ash responded.
"Really? What Pokémon was it?", Misty asked.
"Not sure. But I think it looked like a stronger version of Blaziken.", Ash responded.
"You saw Blaziken?!", May asked, surprised.
"Yeah. That one looked super strong.", Ash responded.
"Pikachu!", Pikachu agreed excitedly.
"Really? That sounds awesome!", Max grinned.
"Now, this I gotta see.", Brock added before turning to Alexa as she spoke to Ash.
"I see. I guarantee you're going to meet lots and lots of new Pokémon.", Alexa spoke just before she noticed Brock kneeling lovingly to her.
"Nice to meet you, Alexa. I'm Brock. Meeting you is such a pleasure.", Brock spoke before a Pokémon burst out of its Pokéball from Brock's pocket and then used a Poison Jab on him, at least enough to paralyze him for a time.
"While dealing with Croagunk isn't...", Brock groaned before it dragged him away from the puzzled Alexa.
"Yeah, sorry about that. He usually gets like that sometimes. Anyway, I'm Misty.", Misty introduced.
"I'm May.", May added.
"And I'm Max. You've met lover boy, here. Though his name's Brock.", Max greeted.
"You don't say...", Alexa spoke in slight surprise.
"Well, I'm glad we're finally in the Kalos Region, especially with my old friends here. I can't wait to win that gym battle, too.", Ash grinned excitedly.
"Uh, you see, I managed to get through to that sister of mine. And she let me know she's away from her gym right now.", Alexa responded.
"SHE'S AWAY?! So when is she gonna be back?!", Ash asked in shock.
"Once my sister goes on a trip, she's usually away for quite awhile.", Alexa replied, making Ash groan.
"Wow. She sure is busy, huh?", Misty guessed.
"Yeah, she is. Sorry, Ash. I know you must be disappointed after coming all this way.", Alexa apologized.
"Aw! No way! This is bad! I wanna win a league this time and I want to become a Pokemon Master!", Ash exclaimed before Alexa got an idea.
"I know. Why don't you channel that energy into challenging the gym here in Lumiose City?", Alexa asked.
"There's a gym in this city too?", Ash asked before he was shown a map of the city.
"See, it's right there. The Lumiose Gym is located just inside the Prism Tower.", Alexa spoke.
"I think that Prism Tower is the official Gym of Lumiose City based of Electric-type Pokémon. Whoever manages to defeat him should receive the Voltage Badge.", Brock guessed.
"Prism Tower. Got it. We'll just have our first battle in Lumiose City.", Ash spoke.
"Then that's where we'll go, too.", Max grinned.
"I'm afraid that is where we'll have to part ways. Are you gonna be alright?", Alexa asked.
"Yeah, we'll be just fine.", Ash assured.
"That's great. Well then, once again, welcome to the Kalos Region.", Alexa grinned.
"You've really been a big help, thanks a lot.", Ash thanked.
"No, thank you. It's been great fun.", Alexa responded.
"Yeah? It sure has.", Ash responded before he and Alexa gave a handshake.
"See you later, Alexa.", Ash spoke.
"Right, see you.", Alexa responded.
"Alright, Pikachu let's go!", Ash shouted before he ran with Pikachu in tow.
"Pika!", Pikachu shouted excitedly.
"Ash, wait up!", Misty shouted as she, Brock, May, and Max ran to catch up to him.
"So much energy. Go get them, Ash!", Alexa shouted.
The heroes ran out as fast as they can as they went outside of the tunnel with Ash and Pikachu jumping in the air in excitement before then showing a young man with green hair getting ready on his own journey elsewhere as he stretched.
"1... 2... 3... 4... All set! I'm sure I can pass that last test today! Just you wait, Arcades!", a young man spoke excitedly before taking a dash into forest as his grandparents and mother watched.
Narrator: "Another trainer set to embark on his own journey is Ryoga. He trained himself non-stop for a whole decade, preparing for the moment when he finally can go out to the world. But the only question is, what would he find there?"
"The kid's so fired up today.", the boy's grandmother replied.
"Well, that's to be expected. The ceremonial trial... Once he passes it, he'll be permitted to travel with Pokémon... And if he passes, he would be able to finally fulfill his promise to Arcades.", Ryoga's grandfather responded.
Then, it showed a younger Ryoga tearing it up as he looked up at the sky.
"Please! Take me with you to where my dad!", Young Ryoga shouted before a voice spoke up.
"Ryoga..., I'm afraid that is impossible for you.", Arcades responded.
"No, no, no, no, no! Not impossible! I'll fight, too!", Young Ryoga exclaimed.
"It's impossible, I say!", the voice retorted.
"NO, IT'S NOOOOOOOOT!", Young Ryoga snapped back before the voice made a clicking sound.
"Even when I told you it is impossible..., you dared to oppose me... Your father did the same thing, Ryoga. Very well... In that case, strive to be strong, Ryoga... Become stronger and return once again to where I reside. If you can prove your true strength worthy of recognition, I will take you to where your father is.", the voice assured.
"Right. Stronger... I need to become stronger... Arcades...", Young Ryoga thought to himself.
Back in the present, a blonde girl was out at the rocks where she apparently had an accident.
"Ow, ow, ow... I can't believe this. Just when I started out on my first solo mission, this happened! I didn't even get to see Jake's face.", the girl complained before she suddenly noticed a big rock getting lifted up, much to her surprise.
"Is that a wild Pokémon?", the girl asked in worry, readying her Poké Ball.
The cause of the rock being lifted up turned out to be Ryoga.
"What?! A human?! H-how are you...?!", the girl asked in surprise.
"Hey. I haven't seen you around here. Just what are you doing here, anyway?", Ryoga asked, making the girl blush.
"Oh. Well, uh... I was doing a little mountain climbing, but then, I lost my footing and got bruised, so, uh... there's that...", the girl replied.
"Oh. Well, then let's get you down and get some treatment. There's a place where I live that isn't very far from here. It's called Tokimamori Village.", Ryoga responded.
"Really? Well, that does sound like an interesting place.", the girl responded.
"Well? Hop on. I'll carry you.", Ryoga offered.
"Huh...?! Carry me...? And that rock?! Oh, no thanks. I think I'm starting to get better now anyways. Even if I did want to get up there, that's just impossible.", the girl responded, making Ryoga widen his eyes.
"Impossible...? You're saying it's impossible...?! Well, guess what?", Ryoga began, grabbing the girl by the wrist, puzzling her.
"THE WORD IMPOSSIBLE IS NOT ON MY DICTIONARY!", Ryoga shouted as the girl shouted from being flung into the air by Ryoga onto the top of the rock and promptly carried over.
Meanwhile, at the village, Ryoga's grandparents checked with the scorekeeper.
"How is our grandchild faring on the Ceremonial trial?", Ryoga's grandmother asked.
"Do you think he can pass?", Ryoga's Grand father asked.
"Seems like it. The ceremonial Trial consists of 3 tests. One must gather at least 240 points to pass. Currently, he has 57 points from taking down Pokémon data and 32 points from cultivating crops. However, if this keeps up...", the scorekeeper spoke before Ryoga's grandparents panicked.
"Wha! He still needs a lot more points to pass!", Ryoga's grandmother shouted.
"Looks like it's a lost cause... All that willpower for nothing...", Ryoga's grandfather spoke sadly.
"It's a certain failure this time...", Ryoga's grandmother responded and caught her.
Thankfully, that wasn't the case as Ryoga managed to deliver the mountain rock over to the village, much to everyone's surprise.
"Phew. So, how's that! How many points for that rock?", Ryoga asked.
"I don't care about the score. You carried that rock... just for the test of strength?! You carried a huge rock...Nobody else has doneit until now. ", Ryoga's grandmother exclaimed.
"Wait... That means...", Ryoga spoke excitedly.
"Congratulations, Ryoga! You just passed the ceremonial trial!", the scorekeeper shouted.
"Yes! I did it! That means I can go on a journey with Pokémon!", Ryoga shouted excitedly.
"Well, that sure took a lot of effort.", Ryoga's grandpa spoke before overhearing some groaning in pain and looking up to see a girl on top of the rock.
"And who are you?", the old man asked.
"Uh, please. Call me Miruto.", Miruto responded with a nervous giggle.
Sometime later, Miruto was now getting patched up.
"I feel bad for you, Miruto, being forced to come all this way... You were really surprised, right?", Ryoga's mother asked.
"Yeah, I sorta was, wasn't I? But I only said it was 'impossible', though.", Miruto blushed with a grin.
"You can't do that! It's from my son's past. Whenever anyone says it's impossible or even hopeless, he'll always be against that.", Ryoga's mom responded.
"So, it's no use telling him that it's hopeless!", a boy added.
"Yeah, that's right!", a girl agreed.
"Sounds like Ryoga's been a pain in the neck to someone at some point.", Miruto guessed.
Speaking of Ryoga, he walked out the door toward his grandfather, who held a bag for him.
"So, you're finally going, Ryoga...", his grandfather spoke.
"Yeah... because it's already been decided.", Ryoga responded.
"In that case, it's best that you take this Pokémon with you on your journey. When he was your age, your father brought this with him.", Ryoga's grandfather responded as he got a chest out of said bag and handed it to Ryoga.
"Wow... That's my dad's?", Ryoga spoke in awe.
"I promised him I'd deliver this to you when you were of age. Now, go on. Take it.", Ryoga's grandfather assured.
"Dad..., I just can't help but think it's too early for my son to journey outside town.", Ryoga's mother spoke.
"Haruna, your son has passed the ceremonial trial. There's nothing we could do to dissuade him from his journey even if we tried.", Ryoga's father assured.
"I know that, but still...", Haruna responded wearily.
"Um, where I come from, it's pretty usual for us to travel with Pokémon when we're 10 years old, so it's not something to get worried over.", Miruto assured.
"Don't say that like it's that easy!", Ryoga's mother spoke a bit sadly as she quickly turned away and slammed the door behind her.
"Huh? Was it something I said?", Miruto puzzled as she turned her head left and right while Ryoga bore a sad look for his mother.
A moment later, Ryoga was saying his goodbyes to the villagers as Miruto thought to herself.
"The ceremonial trail, huh... What a mysterious town.", Miruto thought.
"Well, see ya, Miruto.", Ryoga spoke as he left with the other villagers praising him for his start on the journey.
"Go get 'em!", one of the villagers shouted.
"Bye!", another added.
"Take care!", another shouted while Miruto thought to herself again.
"Something's up with that town. Something big, even. And so help me, I'm going to find out what.", Miruto thought to herself.
Meanwhile, Miruto's mother was in the house all by herself, starting to tear up at the picture of her son and late husband.
"Dear... Ryoga did go to the same path as you...", Miruto's mother spoke, beginning to sob.
At the same time, though, Ryoga went toward a hill and shouted out loud.
"I'M GOING! I PROMISE I'LL COME HOME SAFE, MOM!", Ryoga shouted, his voice echoing across the wind loud enough for her mother to hear as she turned slightly and then bore a grin as her tears streamed down her face before it went back ot Ryoga, who sighed a happy breath before turning and heading out for his journey.
Back at Lumiose City, Misty and the others looked around in awe.
"Just look at all those Pokemon!", Misty spoke in awe.
"Wow, another new Pokemon! Oh, wow, Guys this city is gigantic!", Ash spoke in amazement.
"Pika, pika.", Pikachu agreed.
"Yeah. It's so beautiful!", May grinned.
"Look at all the new Pokemon. Never seen that before either! Look, guys, Ampharos!", Ash added.
"Wow, so cool!", Max responded.
"And there's Medicham, too. There are Pokemon we know.", Ash spoke.
"Guys, look. There's the tower!", Brock spoke up.
"Wow, guys. That's Prism Tower. I'm sure of it. That's where our first gym is.", Ash spoke before he and the others ran to see the Prism Tower.
"Yes! This is it; the Lumiose Gym! Our new challenge is just beginning. Right, Pikachu?", Ash asked excitedly.
"Pika, pikachu!", Pikachu agreed.
As soon as they went inside, a blonde haired man with a blue jumpsuit and a little girl with blonde hair looked on as the heroes entered the Prism Tower.
"Wow. So that's the Gym Entrance?", May asked.
"They sure know how to wow people.", Max added.
"Yeah, but from the looks of it, that gym might not exactly be for beginners.", Brock guessed.
"What do you mean?", Misty puzzled.
"Well, you see...", Brock began before Ssh spoke up.
"Boy, oh boy! I'm so psyched! Anybody here?", Ash asked before the computer turned on and showed the symbol of a Pokémon gym as a voice spoke up.
"Welcome to the Lumiose Gym.", the computer voice greeted.
"My name is Ash and I've come all the way from Pallet Town in the Kanto Region. I want to have gym battle, please!", Ash requested.
"How many badges do you have?", the computer spoke, taking Ash aback slightly.
"Well, you see... this is the very first gym I'm challenging here, so I haven't won any yet.", Ash responded, surprising the computer.
"You have none?! Not a single gym badge? In order to challenge the Lumiose Gym, You must have accumulated at least four gym badges.", the computer spoke before the antenna made of electricity showed up pointing at the heroes.
"What are you doing?! Are you out of your mind?!", Misty exclaimed.
"It looks like it's serious.", Brock commented.
"Please leave immediately!", the computer urged.
"Hey, give me a break, wait a minute!", Ash exclaimed before the electric rods zapped the heroes as the trapdoor activated on the bottom of the floor, making the heroes fall down and get kicked out of the tower just as meanwhile, Michael was driving by on his motor scooter on his way to Dr. Kaminko's manor when he suddenly noticed Ash and the others falling down as soon as they popped out of the hole nearby, making him gasp.
"Hang on! I'm coming!", Michael urged before he turned to the right and went full speed ahead toward the Prism Tower just as the blonde haired boy and the little girl also noticed, but were much closer.
"Oh, no, no!", the boy exclaimed while the girl exclaimed in worry.
As for Ryoga, he noticed this as well.
"Hang in there, guys!", Ryoga shouted as he ran toward where they might fall as well, but from another direction.
"I'm gonna try to catch that boy and his friends!", the boy urged.
"I'll get Pikachu!", the girl added as the heroes fell down as Michael neared the area seeing as he was a bit close by to begin with before Ryoga jumped up with a leap, managing to catch Ash and the others with Max holding onto his neck with his arms while Ash, Brock, Misty, and May were on his shoulders, safe from the fall just as Michael arrived and stopped the motor scooter with a screeching halt and hurried over to the falling Pikachu just passing by Ryoga.
"I got you!", Michael shouted as he jumped up with a leap and caught Pikachu in his arms before landing on the ground.
"There.", Michael spoke in relief.
"Wow! You caught all those people yourself?", the girl asked in wonder.
"How are you holding us all up like that?", Misty asked.
"Well, let's just say you might be surprised at what I went through back home, believe me.", Ryoga responded.
"Wow! That's awesome!", Michael spoke in awe as Ryoga set Ash and the others down.
"Are you all alright?", the boy asked.
"Yeah, are you okay?", Michael asked as he got off.
"Yeah, we're okay, thanks to you guys.", Ash responded.
"Thanks for saving us.", Misty thanked.
"We would've been flat like pancakes if you guys didn't come and save us.", Brock added.
"We almost got squashed.", Max added.
"Yeah, but it's a good thing we saved you guys just in time.", Michael responded before turning to Ash.
"Oh, is this Pokémon yours?", Michael asked.
"Uh, yeah.", Ash responded.
"Take a look at this, Clemont! A Pikachu! And what a cutie!", the girl grinned before she grabbed Pikachu from Michael.
"Hey!", Michael exclaimed a bit.
"Uh, I wouldn't hug Pikachu that tight if I were you...", Misty warned before the girl only hugged Pikachu tighter, causing Pikachu to fire Thunderbolt, zapping the heroes while Ryoga barely managed to escape the thunderbolt before it was set off as an apparent frog Pokémon was watching.
"Bonnie, no!", the boy exclaimed.
"You okay?", Ash asked before Bonnie collapsed.
"I guess she got fried...", Misty spoke before Bonnie only laughed.
"Of course.", Bonnie assured, puzzling the heroes.
"I'm really sorry about my sister.", the boy apologized.
"Hey, don't worry about it.", Ash assured.
"Yeah. I'm guessing she just can't control her excitement.", Michael added.
"Speaking of which, Bonnie, you apologize too.", the boy urged.
"I just wanted to give Pikachu a hug, cause it's so cute!", Bonnie exclaimed, her cheeks puffing up with a pout afterwards.
"But did Pikachu like it?", the boy asked before Bonnie then realized where he was getting at and looked guiltily at Pikachu.
"Alright, I'm really sorry, Pikachu.", Bonnie apologized.
"Everything's okay now. Pikachu was just a little surprised. But we still haven't thank you yet. We really appreciate that you saved Pikachu.", Ash spoke to Michael.
"Pika, Pika.", Pikachu responded.
"Sure. Happy to help.", Michael responded.
"What a weird gym.", Ash responded.
"Yeah, what's up with that?", Misty agreed.
"You guys got kicked out, right?", Clemont guessed.
"Right, and after coming all this way. Some gym leader.", Ash responded.
"That gym leader almost got you guys flattened like waffles! Has he lost his mind?!", Ryoga exclaimed with an echo as he stepped up, surprising the group, even surprising himself, mainly because he blew his own cover as he even covered his mouth.
"Hey, easy, there. I get that it's messed up, but that's almost no reason to blow our tops over this. Although, he could at least stand to make some safety precautions.", Brock spoke.
"Yeah, he's something alright.", the boy responded.
"That is so unfriendly.", Michael commented.
"Maybe. But we have to remember; we need four gym badges in order to get in.", Brock stated.
"I'll say! The gym leader of the Lumiose gym is this really super-duper strong person. So they ask you how many badges you have, right?", Bonnie asked.
"That's right, but when I told them I didn't have any, we got zapped bad.", Ash responded.
"Hold on. You don't have any badges?", Michael puzzled.
"You see, my friends and I just arrived at the Kalos Region. This is the first gym we've been too.", Ash responded.
"Oh. Well, that explains it.", Michael responded.
"But that still doesn't excuse him for that fall back there. The next time I see him, I'm gonna give him a piece of my mind.", Ryoga responded.
"Wow. So intense.", Max commented.
"Pardon me, but where you all from?", the boy asked.
"I'm from Pallet Town in Kanto and my name is Ash. This is Pikachu, and my buddy and I are on a journey together so I can become a Pokemon Master.", Ash responded.
"Pika, pikachu.", Pikachu responded.
"I'm Misty, the Cerulean Gym Leader. And this is Brock.", Misty greeted.
"Nice to meet you.", Brock added.
"I'm May. And this is my little brother, Max.", May greeted.
"Hi, there.", Max grinned.
"I'm Michael. My family and I came from the Orre region sometime ago.", Michael greeted.
"Orre Region?", Ash puzzled.
"Yeah, I'll explain later. First, I gotta pick up my sister, Jovi. She's in a manor southeast of here.", Michael responded.
"You have a little sister?", Misty asked.
"Yeah. And she's a bit like Bonnie, but smarter. Maybe too smart... Anyway, you guys wanna come?", Michael asked.
"Sure. I'd like to meet Jovi.", Ash responded.
"Pika, Pika.", Pikachu agreed.
"I'd like to go, too. I'm Ryoga. It's a blast to meet you all.", Ryoga grinned.
"All right. Now, it's just a matter of whether or not you guys can keep up with my motor.", Michael responded.
"You kidding? I can fly past that thing easy.", Ryoga responded.
"Wanna bet?", Michael asked before Ryoga smirked.
"You bet I do.", Ryoga responded, not knowing that Miruto was watching nearby.
Who's that Pokémon? Segment
Heroes: Who's that Pokémon?
Act II
Heroes: It's Spritzee!
"Spritzee."
Then, the gang were heading into a sort of forest.
"And now it's time for us to introduce ourselves. My name is Clemont, and this is my little sister Bonnie.", Clemont introduced.
"Nice to meet you.", Bonnie greeted.
"Nice to meet you, Clemont, Bonnie.", Ash grinned.
"Pika, pika.", Pikachu added.
"You and your Pikachu look like such good friends. If you weren't, Pikachu wouldn't be sitting on your head like that.", Bonnie grinned, neither one of the group knowing that Froakie was watching nearby.
"Well, we've know each other for a long time.", Ash responded.
"Pikachu.", Pikachu responded.
"Actually, Pikachu was the first Pokémon I ever got. And that's the reason why we came here on our journey, looking for gym battles.", Ash grinned.
"So are you and Bonnie on a journey too?", Misty asked.
"Journey? Well, you see...", Clemont began.
"That's something we'll be doing sometime in the future.", Bonnie interjected.
"And as soon as we pick my sister up, we're gonna head back and make some finishing touches on a big project.", Michael responded.
"A big project?", May responded.
"Yeah. But I can't exactly say what that is yet.", Michael responded.
"A family adventure sounds great. After all, I don't have any brothers or sisters.", Ash groaned.
"But you've got your special friend, Pikachu instead.", Bonnie grinned.
"Yeah, but do you have any Pokémon, Bonnie?", Max asked.
"Bonnie is a little bit too young to have any Pokémon yet. So she's really impressed when she meets someone who does.", Clemont explained.
"Oh. Well, that explains it.", May grinned.
"I know just what it's like. I can hardly wait to grow up and become a Pokémon trainer.", Ash responded.
"You totally understand how I feel.", Bonnie grinned.
"So what kind of Pokémon do you have, Clemont?", Brock asked.
"Yeah, don't be shy. Show us your Pokémon.", Misty added.
"Okay, here's the Pokémon I really recently caught.", Clemont spoke as he brought out his Pokéball.
"Hold up.", Michael spoke up, puzzling the others.
"This is the place.", Michael stated before the others looked up in slight shock as to what the manor actually is, a sort of house with two big antennas sticking out, and especially in the middle of a storm, no less, albeit without much rain so much as lightning and thunder elsewhere, especially with a small statue of Groudon on it.
"Wait. This is the manor?", May asked in slight worry.
"It looks like some kinda haunted house.", Max responded.
"Well, Adon told me she'd be here.", Michael responded.
"Halt! Who goes there?", a voice called out, taking Michael and the others by surprise before they turned to see a sort of blue-haired little man with glasses, each lens having a swirl embedded into them.
"Sorry, sir. We didn't mean to trespass here.", Misty apologized.
"We were just looking for someone in the manor.", Brock added.
"Someone, eh? Or is it something? You must all be burglars! Chobin will put you straight! Don't you move!", Chobin exclaimed.
"What?!", Michael exclaimed.
"We didn't come here to steal anything!", Ash exclaimed.
"Pika, Pika!", Pikachu agreed.
"Just who do you think you are, accusing us like that?!", Ryoga exclaimed.
"Chobin's the name! And Chobin's the number-one assistant to Dr. Kaminko! Chobin is the only assistant, so Chobin has to be the number-one assistant!", Chobin shouted as he got out his Poké ball, releasing a Pokémon named Sunkern.
"Well, if I can't have a gym battle, I guess that could be my first battle in the Kalos Region.", Ash grinned.
"Actually, you can leave that one to me.", Michael assured as he stepped forward.
"Are you sure, Michael?", Ash asked before Michael turned to him.
"I got this.", Michael assured as he turned to him.
"Heh. All right. This could be interesting.", Ryoga grinned.
"Eeve, I choose you!", Michael shouted as he got his Poké Ball out and tossed it, the ball releasing an Eevee from the ball.
"Eevee.", Eevee spoke.
"He has an Eevee?", Clemont puzzled.
"Aw. It looks so cute!", Bonnie grinned.
"Eevee, use Tackle!", Michael shouted before Eevee then ran toward Sunkern and tackled it, making it tumble back.
"You've sprung the trap, fool! Sunkern, use Absorb!", Chobin exclaimed before Sunkern then took a deep breath, sapping an apparent bit of energy from Eevee, surprising it, before that energy went to Sunkern, perking it up a little.
"It used absorb.", Brock spoke.
"Don't give up, Eevee! You can win this!", Bonnie cheered.
"Can you still fight, Eevee?", Michael asked before Eevee turned to Michael and nodded.
"All right. Use Tackle again.", Michael responded before Eevee used Tackle again, this time, knocking Sunkern unconscious as its eyes became swirly.
"Aah! Chobin lost! If only Sunkern absorbed a bit more...", Chobin exclaimed.
"So, you gonna let us in or what?", Ryoga asked, only making Chobin growl.
"You've made Chobin angry now! Even though Chobin lost, you still won't make it past Chobin!", Chobin exclaimed before he noticed something odd about them and had a realization.
"Huh? Closer observation reveals that the subjects are children. Ergo, the subjects are not burglars.", Chobin realized.
"Thank you.", Michael sighed.
"Ahaha! Chobin wishes you spoke up right away.", Chobin spoke with a chuckle.
"We kinda already did...", Ash spoke.
"Pika...", Pikachu agreed.
"Uh, I'm Michael, Chobin.", Michael responded.
"You're Michael? Chobin apologizes for jumping to the wrong conclusion.", Chobin spoke just before a small girl with blue hair and two bobs walked out.
"Big brother! What are you doing here?", Jovi asked.
"Aw. That's Jovi?", Misty grinned.
"She looks so cute.", May agreed.
"Oh! Jovi gets it! Big brother, you got lost, didn't you?", Jovi asked.
"What? No, I didn't!", Michael exclaimed.
"Uh-uh-uh! There's no hiding stuff from Jovi! Because Jovi knows!", Jovi grinned.
"Yeah... Cute doesn't begin to cover it.", Ryoga spoke sarcastically.
"So, what is that manor, anyway?", Brock asked.
"Please don't say haunted house.", May pleaded in worry.
"You mean this house? This big house is Dr. Kaminko's. His job is to make incredible inventions. There's a whole bunch of neat machines like they have at the Pokémon HQ Lab. You should come in too, big brother.", Jovi offered.
"Well, I would like to go there, but, you see...", Michael began just before suddenly, an electric net appeared out of nowhere with Pikachu managing to avoid it just in time before it could catch it, interrupting the conversation and shocking everyone who noticed what happened.
"Are you okay, Pikachu?", Ash asked.
"Pikachu...", Pikachu replied.
"What happened?", Jovi puzzled.
"Yeah, where did that come from?", Michael asked.
"All right, what do you think you're doing?!", Ash shouted to the perpetrators apparently responsible for the attempt to capture Pikachu.
"That was dangerous!", Clemont exclaimed.
"Who are you?", Bonnie asked before it then showed some zoom-in shots of the perpetrators, who posed for their introduction as did Meowth and Wobbuffet.
"Prepare for trouble, our middle name!", the woman responded.
"And make it double; It's a high stakes game!", the man added.
"To protect the world from devastation!", the woman added.
"To unite all people within our nation!", the man added.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!", the woman added.
"To extend our reach to the stars above!", the man added.
"Jessie!", Jessie spoke.
"And James!", James added.
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!", Jesse added.
"Surrender now or prepare for a fight, fight, and fight!", James added.
"Meowth. That's right!", Meowth shouted.
"Wobbuffet!", Wobbuffet added.
"Team Rocket! You would follow us here!", Ash glared.
"Wait, do you know them?", Bonnie asked.
"It's a long story, Bonnie.", Max responded.
"I've never seen a talking Meowth before! That's incredible!", Clemont spoke before Ryoga stopped him.
"Wait. Somethin' ain't right with them. Call me crazy, but I think they're bad guys out to steal our Pokémon.", Ryoga guessed.
"You got that right on the mark. Those are a group of really bad guys who always try to take my Pikachu.", Ash agreed.
"Excuse me, twerp, but you're selling us short.", James commented.
"Catching Pikachu is but one of our numerous, yet glorious goals.", Jessie added.
"The rest of them include the conversation of all the strongest rare Pokemon in Kalos, forming a formidable Pokémon army is inevitable.", James added.
"But catching Pikachu is job one!", Jessie added as she pointed at Pikachu, who gave a surprised reaction.
"There's no better way for us to begin our Kalos kingdom!", James stated.
"So, you two are burglars.", Chobin deduced to Jesse and James.
"We prefer to be called master thieves, thank you very much!", Jesse retorted.
"Like that's gonna happen.", Ash responded.
"You guys never learn, do you?", Misty asked.
"If you think you can steal our Pokémon, you might as well think again!", May added.
"That's right. So, prepare for trouble!", Max added.
"Pika...!", Pikachu growled.
"Make it double!", Brock added.
"Hey, no fair!", James exclaimed in surprise.
"You don't get to use our lines like that!", Jesse added.
"Heh. You guys got a lot of spunk to tick those guys off. I like that.", Ryoga grinned.
"I will not sit idly by and let you steal other people's Pokémon!", Clemont spoke.
"And neither will I.", Michael added.
"That's right! Who do you think you are, anyway?!", Bonnie added.
"Team Rocket, that's who!", the trio shouted before Misty, Brock, May, and Max got out their Poké Balls as did Clemont.
"Everyone, come out!", Misty shouted before Gyarados, Steelix, Blaziken, and Sceptile were released from their Poké Balls.
"Everyone, let's get 'em!", Michael urged.
"Right!", the group agreed.
"All right, Pikachu! Use thunderbolt!", Ash shouted.
"Gyarados, use Hydro Pump!", Misty shouted.
"Steelix, use Iron Tail!", Brock added.
"Eevee, use tackle!", Michael shouted.
"Blaziken, use Flamethrower!", May shouted.
"Sceptile, use Leaf Blade!", Max added before the other Pokémon used said moves together to hit Team Rocket, but Jesse was ready for this..
"Pika..CHU!", Pikachu shouted as he launched thunderbolt.
"Wobbuffet, time to shine!", Jesse spoke before Wobbuffet jumped in and used Mirror Coat to bounce back all six attacks, effectively countering them.
"Hey, that's Mirror Coat!", Clemont spoke in surprise before Thunderbolt, Hydro Pump, and Flamethrower hit Pikachu, Gyarados, and Blaziken while Steelix, Eevee, and Sceptile were both knocked back.
"Pikachu!", Ash shouted as he ran before grabbing Pikachu before it could crash land on the ground with a nasty fall as Michael did the same with Eevee.
"Hey, buddy, are you okay?", Ash asked.
"Pika...", Pikachu groaned.
"Are you okay, Gyarados?", Misty asked before it growled in reply.
"Think you could get up, Steelix?", Brock asked before it started to do so.
"Are you all right?", Michael asked to Eevee, who nodded a bit weakly.
"Be careful, Blaziken.", May advised.
"Blaz...", Blaziken responded.
"Easy, there, Sceptile.", Max spoke to Sceptile as it tried to get up.
"Poor Pikachu.", Bonnie spoke worriedly before Wobbuffet landed.
"Excellent, I give you an eleven!", Jesse grinned.
"Wobbu.", Wobbuffet responded.
"We'd better retreat! Using Mirror Coat reflects special attacks with double the power! We can't withstand that kind of strength! It's impossible!", Clemont advised, only making Ryoga gasp with widen eyes, although somewhat tensing.
"Impossible...? You dare say that this is impossible...?! Well, I got news for you, Clemont. THE WORD IMPOSSIBLE IS NOT ON MY DICTIONARY!", Ryoga shouted, surprising Clemont as well as most of the others, all except Ash, especially a certain frog-like Pokémon, who was watching from afar.
"He's right. We've always stood up to them before. And we always will. As long as Pikachu is okay. Long as Pikachu doesn't give up. Long as my friends are always here to help me. I'll be right here, battling to the end.", Ash spoke as he stood up and turned around with Pikachu jumping off Ash's shoulder, ready for battle.
"Pikachu.", Pikachu grinned.
"That's right, Ash. You tell him.", Misty agreed.
"This isn't exactly the first time we had to deal with them.", Brock added.
"Every time we battle them...", May added.
"They always lose big time.", Max added before Bonnie and Clemont became amazed and looked toward each other while Ryoga looked toward the chest he brought with him in his backpack before those memories showed a younger Ryoga looking up at the sky.

"Even when I said it's impossible..., you dared to oppose me. Your father did the same, Ryoga. However, if you encounter difficulties and become someone who chooses the challenging path..., you can become truly strong.", the voice spoke.
"To get stronger, I'll challenge any difficulty I encounter! I'll get stronger so that one day, I can meet Arcades!", Young Ryoga swore before it went back to the present.
"Take a good look..., Arcades.", Ryoga thought.
"All you'll end up with are reruns.", Jesse smirked.
"Hey. That's enough out of you...!", Ryoga growled as he got the chest out of his backpack, puzzling Team Rocket as well as Ash and the others.
"Huh? What's in that chest?", Ash puzzled before no answer came.
"I know I can do this! I've been training nonstop every day for 10 years for this.", Ryoga thought before he opened the chest to show inside, a sort of jewel inside it.
"Could that be...?", Chobin asked in surprise to himself.
"It's time to shut you up!", Ryoga spoke to Team Rocket before holding said jewel up into the air.
"Think you can get away with this?!", Ryoga added before he placed the gem on the top of his right hand where an apparent slot was present before his body started sparking out blue lightning all over, much to both heroes' and villains'surprise and shock.
"What's going on?!", Meowth exclaimed before it showed Miruto looking up to see a bright light starting to come from nearby in the forest close by the manor.
"Huh? What's going on over there?", Miruto asked before she ran up the hill.
Meanwhile, Ryoga screamed in agonizing pain from the change, which showed his left hand already growing claws and glowing brightly along with his body in a sort of translucent light typically shown whenever Pokémon evolve as his clothes became warped and disappeared.
"Gaah...! I...it hurts...! Really bad...! What is this overflowing power...?! This is the first time I've ever felt something like that...! But still... I've gotta go wild to win!", Ryoga exclaimed in thought as his glowing body started to sprout wings of sorts.
"I'm doing what you asked, Arcades!", Ryoga thought before roaring out as the light burst out like a column stretching toward the dark skies, taking Miruto aback by surprise, before lightning bolts crashed down onto the ground around Ryoga like a ring one at a time as meanwhile, back at the village, his mother noticed the light from the window as did Ryoga's grandparents.
"Ryoga!", Ryoga's grandmother exclaimed.
"Ryoga...! You've fused... with Zekrom!", Ryoga's mother thought in shock before it showed Ryoga now bearing a resemblance that's half himself and half Zekrom with his eyes now the same color's as Zekrom's, but only by the irises and pupils, although his face is still somewhat human, as Ash and the others looked on in shock, much less surprise and awe, just as Miruto arrived and gasped in shock at what Ryoga had become.

"Worthless... little monster!", Ryoga shouted.
"AAAH! What's with this twerp?!", the trio exclaimed.
"Pikachu, did you see that? He... actually turned into a Pokémon!", Ash spoke in surprise.
"Pikachu!", Pikachu agreed.
"You'll regret underestimating us..., stealing our Pokémon..., and running into ME!", Ryoga glared.
"Say it ain't so! That twerp just turned into a mini Zekrom!", Meowth exclaimed.
"And he, no doubt, has the powers of Unova's Legendary Pokémon, Zekrom at his disposal.", James added in slight surprise.
"Which means there is a silver lining.", Jesse spoke, puzzling James and Meowth.
"If we capture this twerp the way he is now, that would be even better.", Jesse added.
"That idea's so crazy, it just might work.", James grinned.
"Just think. Da boss havin' this kind of power around. Now, you're talkin' some sense.", Meowth agreed.
"I'M GONNA END YOU! Say your prayers!", Ryoga exclaimed before dashing toward Team Rocket.
"Stop! It's too dangerous!", Michael warned.
"You're on, Wobbuffet!", Jesse spoke up before Wobbuffet jumped up and used Mirror Coat.
Of course, it failed to realize that Ryoga was actually charging at it head-on while his right hand charged electricity. And sure enough, Ryoga struck Wobuffet with his right fist, disrupting its Mirror Coat, also paralyzing it in the process before Ryoga landed in the ground and stood up before looking at his hands calmly and gently closed them into fists.
"Is that really me?", Ryoga puzzled.
"Wow, Ryoga just broke through its Mirror coat!", Bonnie exclaimed in surprise as Jovi looked on, silent in surprise.
"How'd he do that?", Ash puzzled.
"Of course. Ryoga's direct attack isn't a move, so Wobbuffet's Mirror Coat was completely ineffective.", Clemont guessed.
"And now, the finishing touch!", Ryoga exclaimed before his body became shrouded in a blue light as blue electricity arced around him before he took off like a blue blast toward Team Rocket.
"Oy vey!", Meowth exclaimed before he, Jesse, and James got zapped, especially Wobbuffet, before they were sent up into the air.
"We're blasting off again!", Team Rocket shouted.
"Wobbuffet!", Wobbufet added before a ding sounded as they got far away.
"Heh. Is that it?", Ryoga smirked.
"Wow! Awesome power!", Bonnie grinned.
"Thanks, everybody.", Ash thanked.
"Yeah, you really helped out.", Brock agreed.
"See? What did I tell ya? Not impossible.", Ryoga grinned.
"You know, I may have had my doubts, but you certainly proved me wrong.", Clemont grinned.
Miruto, on the other hand, was quite surprised.
"What is this...? Ryoga transformed...! And not just into any Pokémon. That shape... that new form of his... it's similar to Unova's own Legendary Pokémon: Zekrom! And the lightning and Bolt Strike he used against those guys... It's not really Zekrom's itself. So, does that mean...? It can't be... A Human having Pokémon powers...?! I never heard of something like that.", Miruto thought.
Meanwhile, Ryoga turned to see the stunned Jovi.
"Hey. Uh, are you doing okay, kid?", Ryoga asked, even snapping his claws like fingers before Jovi then laughed as she hugged him.
"Oop. We got a hugger.", Ryoga spoke.
"Wow... You got so strong. You're really great.", Jovi grinned.
"Thanks. Well, guess it's about time to change back. If I stay like this any longer, my body wouldn't be able to take it. And that goes double for you, too, Zekrom.", Ryoga spoke to himself before he then placed his right fist into his left hand and grunted, causing the apparent black soul to detach itself from Ryoga's body and back into his gem as his body returns to normal with his clothes reappearing just as the bright translucent glow on said body diminished, leaving Ryoga panting calmly, although Miruto snuck up on him and shouted.
"What was that jewel?!", Miruto asked.
"Uhh..., it was nothing.", Ryoga responded with a bit of a blush.
"Nothing? Nothing?! That sudden transformation back there isn't nothing! TELL ME EVERYTHING!", Miruto spoke intensely.
"Well, you see... Uh...transformation? What do you mean?", Ryoga spoke nervously.
"Don't play dumb! It's too late for that! After that flashy performance earlier, you can't pull the wool over my eyes now! Answer meeeeee!", Miruto exclaimed, throttling Ryoga.
"Easy, there, Miruto. I get that you want answers, but throttling him isn't going to help you get them.", Clemont spoke.
"Yeah, stop being a jerk!", Bonnie added.
"Bonnie...", Clemont spoke.
"Now that you mention it, I'd like to know what that was about, too.", Ash grinned.
"Pika.", Pikachu concurred.
"And here, I thought people turning into Pokémon couldn't be done.", Misty commented.
"It was a lot of power you had back there.", Brock added.
"Is there a way I could be one, too?", May pondered.
"You actually want that, May?", Max puzzled.
"Well, that's a bit of a weird thing to want. Not so much for Ryoga, though.", Michael added.
"Look, even if I want to tell you guys, I couldn't. I'm not supposed to tell any outsiders about any of this. If you get in too deep, you might find yourself in more trouble than you're prepared for.", Ryoga warned, prompting Miruto to give a scoff.
"He's keeping this to himself. But I, Miruto the Operative of Justice, will not take the bait.,", Miruto thought before she thought of an idea as a thought bubble appeared with Pikachu in it.
"Well..., I guess I'll just give up, then...", Miruto spoke, shocking Ryoga, the shock being added further in as Miruto continued.
"I guess there's no use for something like this. It's just so impossible to deal with.", Miruto spoke.
"Are you kidding me...? IMPOSSIBLE HAS NO PLACE IN MY DICTIONARY!", Ryoga shouted.
"Yay!", Miruto cheered before an email notification sounded on Michael's PDA.
"Huh? What's that?", Michael puzzled before he checked his PDA and noticed what the message read, which is, "Dear Michael, It seems like you've travelled far in your search for Jovi. Please come back to the HQ lab as soon as you find her. I need your help with something.".
"A message from Krane?", Michael puzzled.
"What is it? What is it?", Jovi asked giddily.
"It's an email from Professor Krane.", Michael responded.
"An E-Mail? From the Professor? He wants you to come home quickly?", Jovi asked.
"Well, if that's the way, then I'll explain everything on the way.", Ryoga responded.
"Jovi is worried about letting you go by yourself, big brother. So Jovi will go home, too! Let's go right now!", Jovi grinned.
"Well, as long as you're coming with us back home.", Michael grinned before Ash and the others ran as Michael rode on his hover motorcycle with Jovi behind him on the seat.
