Love is a Gun:

Chapter Three:

Tainting me, with your lies

Baiting me—I always lose

Hating me, I feel so dead

Raping me—I always choose

To let you hold me down,

Fuck me to the ground

And I always drown.

Love is—that thing I cannot name,

Love is, not that we feel the same,

Love, I try so often to picture you—

I try to soften what I lose;

Can't you see I'm waiting for you, waiting for you?

My hand's on the gun, and the puddle of blood

You're stepping through

Oh Lord, what can I do—when it comes to you

Love is the gun.

You chain me to your heart,

And ravage what's within—

You rape me with passion

You cannot conceal

Why do you do this? I'm your servant

If only you'd ask it of me.

Why do you taint me and fuck what I feel?

Love is—that thing I cannot name,

Love is, not that we feel the same,

Love, I try so often to picture you—

I try to soften what I lose;

Can't you see I'm waiting for you, waiting for you?

My hand's on the gun, and the puddle of blood

You're stepping through

Oh Lord, what can I do—when it comes to you

Love is the gun.

When it comes to you—love is the gun.

Suguru shuddered as he walked into the darkly-lit room, the lyrics to the song bustling through the air. He discovered the song just three days ago and hadn't been able to forget it—but he hadn't been able to listen to it either without breaking down. And just the night before he left the MD with it in Bad Luck's old studio, unable to throw it out or tell anyone about it.

"Shindou-san…." He muttered as he heard the late-pink-haired singer's voice fade away with the last lyric. '…Who's playing this? I didn't leave it anywhere near the stereo….'

The green haired keyboardist switched on the light and blinked when he saw the redheaded guitarist sitting on the floor staring at the stereo in shock.

"Nakano-san, what are you doing here?"

"These…these lyrics….they…they're about….oh god….." Hiro stammered and shivered as Suguru stepped up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. The guitarist looked up at the keyboardist, eyes glistening with tears and frustration. "Why didn't I notice? Why didn't I realize? Why didn't anyone realize what he was planning?"

"Nakano…." Suguru knelt down next to him, wrapping his arms around him—he didn't know what to do himself so he just comforted the guitarist while his own pain whelmed inside. 'Why did I have to assume everything was okay? I knew something was going on, but I didn't realize….'

"Did you know Shuuichi recorded this song too? I got tired of listening to that other song on the radio, and popped this in….I…when did Shuu find time to record it? How did he keep it hidden…?"

"I…I don't know….I guess everyone assumed too much and…."

"Yeah, we all assumed he was okay, that everything was fine….and look what happened! Shuuichi's dead! And he killed Yuki, too….god….." Hiro closed his eyes and sobbed, violently shuddering in his grief. "We were best friends, and I didn't notice…I didn't…Fujisaki, did you read the text-letter Seguchi-san found on Yuki's laptop afterwards? The one Shuu wrote to Yuki?"

Suguru nodded and held tighter to the guitarist.

"All that pain…why didn't I see it? Why?"

Suguru only held tightly to Hiro in the looming silence after the song completely ended.
