He dodged to the right as an armor piercing shot zoomed past him. In the battlefield there was no room for errors, knowing that he charged towards the Löwe, raising his high frequency blade and tearing through the killing machine's front legs, and then finally jumping on top of it and piercing his pile drivers through its central processor. He is known as the Reaper, the sharpest sword in all of the Federation's military. Those who know his title dare not challenge his status, even the higher ups in the Federation fear him. Shinei Nouzen, the captain of the 86th Strike Package and the commander of the Spearhead Squadron. Being from the Nouzen clan gives him superhuman reaction speed and strength that no other person in the military possesses. In addition to this, his heritage from the Maika clan allows for him to communicate with those who share his blood, but this ability was altered in his childhood and changed to where he can hear the voices of the Legion.
Back in the 86th sector he was alone, suffering. Until the special reconnaissance mission he had been suffering, and thought that it would finally end, and even when he arrived at the Federacy the suffering continued. With the defeat of the Morpho, he thought that the only person who had connections to his past were all but dead. He was severely wrong when he saw the silver haired girl introduce herself in the name of the "late" major that talked to him during her time commanding the Spearhead squadron. At this moment they had bonded like they knew each other for years, even though it had only been a few months.
"Good work out there Captain." He loved hearing that sweet silver bell-like voice. There was nothing better than hearing her speak after a long day at work.
"Thanks, you too. If anything, you work harder than I do." Lena blushed at the compliment, and this amused Shin, filling his heart with joy all the way.
One of the maintenance members was running up to him "SHIN QUIT BREAKING YOUR UNIT GODDAMMIT!" Shin isn't surprised hearing this, it was pretty much a common occurrence whenever they had a deployment.
Lena teasingly agreed with the maintenance member's opinion "That's right Shin, you should go easier on your juggernaut." Shin sighed and tried to move on.
They were now in the cafeteria, and Lena was hungry like usual. Shin and her sat at the table next to all the other Spearhead members. Raiden who saw them coming from a distance earlier greeted them "Here arrives the couple. How was your deployment?" Shin and Lena, setting their plates down next to each other, replied "The same as usual, there doesn't seem to be a rise in them, hopefully there isn't another offensive."
"Hopefully, that shit was a pain in the ass to deal with, the military might not even last this time around." Theo, with his sharp tongue, replies coldly as always. "By the way Anju, I heard you invited Dustin ove when we were at Sankt Jeder, mind explaining that" Kurena teasingly said with a childlike grin. Now everyone was interested and since Dustin was sitting at another table he was completely oblivious to what was going on.
"So it was on the day I went out with Shin, I see, no wonder I didn't notice anyone." "I mean you did arrive home pretty late, Lena. It makes me wonder what you did with him." Anette smirkingly asked her. "We just went to have dinner at Shin's grandparent's place, that's all. Speaking of which, what about you and Theo. It's kind of expected that you stayed with him, since you two are so close when we are at base." And thus all types of gossip began.
Now Shin and Lena are back at their living quarters. They changed out of their uniforms, but Lena undressed a bit slower than Shin. The reason being that he looks too damn hot taking off his uniform. She was absolutely stunned that she didn't move an entire muscle. It had been quite some time that they started dating and staying together, but this is a sight that she can never get used to. The situation was pretty much the same for Shin. Seeing her slowly take off her top and then taking off her stockings was a sight that made him think of very lewd things. After showering they vented about things that happened during their day, and just went to sleep waiting for the next day to come. This is how Shin's life had turned from a dark gloomy mess to one full of color and joy.
