This poem probably doesn't make much sense to anyone who hasn't read the Red Ram part of the Count Cain series. This is written in the point of view of Gilford, a mentally unstable man who thinks he's a child and can only write in mirror writing. He also can't write certain letters, including the letter 'u.'I think it sounds like a nursery rhyme...
What did you see,
my lost little child?
O what did you see, my dear?
I saw a red
ram in a dark little alley
who lured all the girls away.
What
did you see,
my mad little child?
O what did you see, my
dear?
I saw the devil who took the red rum
from the girls
who came that day.
What did you see,
my dark little
child?
O what did you see, my dear?
I saw the girl who
drank the red rum
to keep her death at bay.
What do you
see,
my doomed little child?
O what do you see, my dear?
I
see the red ram who's come for me
to lure my life away.
