Taylor Fearbrave in The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge

The Final Branch story of the Nightmare Files saga. Taylor, Tess, Bentley, and Vin are in Halloween Town, and Taylor can't use her past abilities. Will they, along with Jack, and when Taylor gets new abilities beat Oogie and Octavio while keeping Oogie alive to get the last documents. Rated K plus due to game to be rated E ten plus. Completed!

9. Changing Brains

I only own my OC, Taylor, I do not own Tess, Vin, Bentley, Octavio, or any of the Nightmare Before Christmas characters, or the song.

The elevator made it to the floor the group had to be in, but the soon spread out, then Tess said, "Man, that was a bit of a tight space."

"I agree, next time we go one at a time," Bentley said.

Taylor soon looked, and waiting for them was the Don himself, and said, "Octavio, it seems you were waiting for us," she paused, then asked, "Are you the one we have to fight?"

"Nope," Octavio replied, paused, then said, "You're a next opponent, is a right behind me."

Octavio moved sideways, and the group looked at a white man in a wheelchair. Jack soon said, "Dr. Finkelstein!" He moved forward, and asked the Doctor, "Why are you doing this?"

There was a bit of silence, until the Doctor replied, "Ah, Jack. I see you, Taylor and her friends managed to make it here..." He turned his chair around to face the group, and said, "You've been busy, my friends," he then said while lifting his lid, "I think it's time for you all to rest," when he opened his lid to reveal his brain, and it caused the group to gasp in shock.

The Doctor's brain was green with orange eyes, Tess soon said, "Holy Yakow!"

"What the heck!?" Bentely asked in shock.

"That is so unnatural!" Vin said, after coming out of Bentley's wheelchair.

"So, that's why you were making ghosts and skeletons!" Taylor said.

"Oogie switched your brain!" Jack said in shock.

"Shall we begin?" the Doctor asked, then said, "I think you and Taylor will like this device," there was then some sparks of electricity, as the Doctor said, "I made it especially for you two!" The group see what looks like blades and guns coming down, then coming back up.

Taylor looked, then noticed something on a cart, and said, "Jack, look!"

Jack sees it, it was Doctor Finkelstein's real brain, and said, "I get it, Taylor. We have to switch the Doctor's real brain back to save him," Jack soon thought and said, "Let's see... If one of us opens his head from behind, then one of us will stay in front of him and throw his real brain in..." Jack knew that was a good plan, and said, "Yes! That should work!" Jack soon remembered, and said, "Wait a minute! We have the Sleeping Soup that Sally made!"

"I got it," Bentley said, giving the soup to the Doctor, who drinks it, and fell fast asleep, dropping the bowl as well.

"Okay, let's do this," Taylor said, as she went to behind the Doctor to use her Soul Robber to open his head, but just as she was about to, something stopped her Soul Robber, causing to asked, "What the heck?"

"Oh, I a forgot about a something," Octavio said, causing the group to look at him, as he explains, "There's a barrier preventing you from getting to the Doctor, and it will only be a broken if you use the a Soul Dance!"

"So, looks like to wait," Taylor said.

A few minutes later.

"Go a fish," Octavio said, who was playing Go Fish with Taylor and Jack.

Taylor picked up the card from the deck, but she glared, for it wasn't the card, and exclaimed, "You better not be cheating."

"I might a be the criminal in Venicia, but I don't a cheat during games," Taylor looked at him in disbelief, then Octavio corrected, "Okay, maybe a few times."

Jack soon looked, and said, "Everyone, the Doctor is waking up."

"Go time," Taylor said, as she and Jack were ready, while Bentley, Vin and Tess went somewhere safe, and so did Octavio, but in a different location.

"Remember the Instant Soul Dance, Taylor!" Vin said, Taylor nodded, and she and Jack see the Doctor fully awake, and ready to fight.

[The Doctor's Song]

The Doctor was dancing a bit, while Taylor and Jack look back at the real brain, but then the guns came out while the Doctor begins to sing:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~This town has changed, my friends, ~
~since you've been away. ~

The guns begin firing at Jack and Taylor while dodged the bullets and the Doctor continues the song:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~Without a Pumpkin King, ~
~it's Oogie Boogie's Way. ~

The guns begin to retracked, as Taylor begins to sing to consul him:

Taylor:

~Doctor, please! ~
~Oh, can't you see you're wrong? ~

The spinning blades soon came down, as the Doctor sang to Taylor:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~Jack was the king, ~
~but now he's nothing but prey. ~
~Oogie Boogie is back~
~and he's planning to stay. ~

The blades begin spinning and moving, while Taylor and Jack begin to avoid them, as Jack this time sang:

Jack:

~It's a crazy web you're weaving. ~
~Oogie Boogie will soon be leaving. ~

The blades soon went up, while Jack continued to sing:

Jack:

~Doctor, please! ~
~It's not too late. ~

The guns begin to come out again, while the Doctor sang again:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~All my machines will seal both your fate. ~

The guns begin to fire, as the Doctor continued singing:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~My lasers will slice you two, ~
~my knives will cut deep. ~

The guns retracted again, while a giant orb came down as the Doctor continued to sing:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~And when it's all over~
~Sally, she will weep. ~

The orb begins charged up to shoot volts of lighting, trying to get Taylor and Jack, which they dodged, while the Doctor sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~Days of your good-natured~
~mayhem are through. ~
~I'll tear up this town~
~and I'm starting with you two. ~

"We'll rescue you doctor!" Taylor cried.

"Never, Taylor!" the Doctor snaps back at her, then began singing while the guns came down again:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~Well now, my boy, it~
~seems you've lost your crown. ~

The guns began to shoot as the Doctor continues singing:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~In a few mere moments you and~
~Taylor will be six feet in the ground. ~

Taylor glared at the Doctor, and sang at him:

Taylor:

~Stop at once! ~
~Can't you see this is absurd? ~

The Doctor soon sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~No more tricks, ~
~your friends are now your foes. ~
~And now this dance is nearing its close. ~

Soon Taylor and Jack heard a jingle, knowing that it is time to perform the Soul Dance.

"Ready Jack?" Taylor asked.

"3," Jack replied.

"2," Taylor said.

"1," Taylor and Jack said together.

Jack soon said, "Let's Dance, Taylor!" Jack and Taylor began dancing while Jack sang:

Jack:

~All these people that you're hurting. ~
~Oh, good doctor is disconcerting. ~

While they danced, the red skeleton appeared and began dancing the can-can, as Jack continues to sing:

Jack:

~Doctor, please. ~
~Your thinking is all wrong. ~

The blue skeleton appeared to dance the can-can, while the Doctor sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~In a moment finally you'll both be gone. ~

Soon both the green and yellow skeleton began to dance the can-can. Taylor and Jack continued to dance while Taylor soon sang:

Taylor:

~Your intentions are evil, ~
~your thoughts are all bad. ~

The Doctor begins to dance a bit, while Taylor continues:

Taylor:

~That 'thing' that you work for~
~is no more than a cad. ~

The Doctor continues to sing while Taylor continues:

Taylor:

~When finally, we get that~
~foul brain out of you, ~
~you'll see no more foes, ~
~but friends that are true. ~

After finish singing, Taylor and Jack sent some Soul Notes at Doctor Finkelstein, which hit the Doctor, and opening his lid, exposing his brain.

While Taylor quickly grabbed half of the Doctor's real brain, and threw it at him, while he asked while he closed the lid, "Well, Taylor and Jack? Like my inventions?"

Jack replied, "Doctor, you've got to control yourself."

Octavio soon said, "If you want to a get more Soul Notes, you need to attack the a machines."

Taylor and Jack soon see the guns fall down again, as the Doctor begin singing the same things:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~This town has changed, my friends, ~
~since you've been away. ~

The guns began shooting Taylor and Jack, but they fought back and got some Soul Notes while the Doctor continued to sing:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~Without a Pumpkin King, ~
~it's Oogie Boogie's Way. ~

The broken guns retracked, while Taylor sang:

Taylor:

~Doctor, please! ~
~Oh, can't you see you're wrong? ~

The blades went down again, while the Doctor sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~Jack was the king, ~
~but now he's nothing but prey. ~
~Oogie Boogie is back~
~and he's planning to stay. ~

Jack and Taylor fought two of the blades and got more Soul Notes, while Jack soon sang:

Jack:

~It's a crazy web you're weaving. ~
~Oogie Boogie will soon be leaving. ~

They two got the other blades and got more Notes, while Jack sang:

Jack:

~Doctor, please! ~
~It's not too late. ~

The Doctor sang while the blades began to come up, but nothing came down again while he sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~All my machines will seal both your fate. ~

The Doctor paused, then sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~My lasers will slice you two, ~
~my knives will cut deep. ~

The giant orb lowered down, while the Doctor sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~And when it's all over~
~Sally, she will weep. ~

The orb charges up to try and hit Taylor and Jack, while the Doctor sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~Days of your good-natured~
~mayhem are through. ~
~I'll tear up this town~
~and I'm starting with you two. ~

"This is really tense!" Taylor said.

"It needs to be!" Octavio replied.

(A/N: There will be a bit of music, no details until later.)

The Doctor begins singing, while the barrier continues to be up:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~Well now, my boy, it~
~seems you've lost your crown. ~
~In a few mere moments you and~
~Taylor will be six feet in the ground. ~

Taylor:

~Stop at once! ~
~Can't you see this is absurd? ~

Doctor Finkelstein:

~No more tricks, ~
~your friends are now your foes. ~
~And now this dance is nearing its close. ~

Jack:

~All these people that you're hurting. ~
~Oh, good doctor is disconcerting. ~
~Doctor, please. ~
~Your thinking is all wrong. ~

Doctor Finkelstein:

~In a moment finally you'll both be gone. ~

The Doctor paused, then sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~My blades are now spinning, ~
~my creations are large. ~
~When they move towards you two~
~there's no question who's in charge. ~

The orb began lowering down and began charging as the Doctor sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~If, by some chance, ~
~you two survive the attack. ~

The lightning began to try to shock Taylor and Jack, while the Doctor sang:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~They'll be many more, ~
~you both better watch your backs. ~

The orb rose up, and everything was ready to begin again.

"This barrier is very powerful," Jack said.

"Only a Soul Dance can a penetrate it," Octavio said.

(A/N: Doing the same thing, but some things are different, with some none singing as well.)

The Doctor begins to sing:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~This town has changed, my friends, ~
~since you've been away. ~
~Without a Pumpkin King, ~
~it's Oogie Boogie's Way. ~

Jack:

~Doctor, please! ~
~Oh, can't you see you're wrong? ~

Doctor Finkelstein:

~You were the king, ~
~but now he's nothing but prey. ~
~Oogie Boogie is back~
~and he's planning to stay. ~

Taylor:

~It's a crazy web you're weaving. ~
~Oogie Boogie will soon be leaving. ~
~Doctor, please! ~
~It's not too late. ~

Doctor Finkelstein:

~All my machines will seal both your fate. ~
~My lasers will slice you two, ~
~my knives will cut deep. ~
~And when it's all over~
~Sally, she will weep. ~

"How could Oogie do this to you?" Jack asked the Doctor.

"You'll never defeat Oogie!" the Doctor replied, then began to sing again:

Doctor Finkelstein:

~Well now, my boy, it~
~seems you've lost your crown. ~
~In a few mere moments you and~
~Taylor will be six feet in the ground. ~

Jack:

~Stop at once! ~
~Can't you see this is absurd? ~

Doctor Finkelstein:

~No more tricks, ~
~your friends are now your foes. ~
~And now this dance is nearing its close. ~

Taylor and Jack soon heard a jingle, then Taylor asked, "Ready, Jack?"

"3," Jack said.

"2," Taylor said.

"1," Jack and Taylor said together.

Jack soon said, "Let's Dance, Taylor!" Taylor and Jack began dancing while Taylor sang:

(A/N: Once again, not repeating the dance actions, just the song.)

Taylor:

~All these people that you're hurting. ~
~Oh, good doctor it's disconcerting. ~
~Doctor, please. ~
~Your thinking is all wrong. ~

Doctor Finkelstein:

~In a moment finally you'll both be gone. ~

Jack:

~You shoot and attack me, ~
~it rolls off my back. ~
~I'm not your enemy, ~
~I'm the Pumpkin King, Jack. ~
~When this is all over~
~good friends we will be. ~
~You'll praise Oogie no more, ~
~you can take that from me. ~

Taylor and Jack blasted some Soul Notes at the Doctor, and his lid opened.

Taylor soon said, "Oogie's control over you is over."

"I'm not defeated yet," Doctor said.

"Yes, you are," Jack said, throwing the other half of the real brain into the Doctor, causing him to groan in pain.

The Doctor was stunned, gaping while is real brain was now inside him, but then the lid closed, and so did the Doctor's mouth.

Octavio soon said, "Well another battle in a which you two are a victorious," he went to the elevator, and said, "Well got to a go, until a next time!" The elevator soon went down.

Soon a blast of light came above the group, and another carving came down, this time it was the shape of a shamrock, or a four-leaf clover.

The Doctor soon rolled up, and said, "I'm sorry, Jack. I never imagined my brain would be replaced and the town deceived..." He soon looks at Taylor, and said, "Man, Taylor, it has been a while my girl, you really grown up, and have new friends," Tess, Bentley, and Vin, when he came out of Bentley's wheelchair, and said, "It's good to meet you all, and I'm sorry for causing to do harm to your friend."

Jack soon looked at the Doctor, and said, "Doctor! The St. Patrick's Day Door..."

"The holiday of luck, and the ways of the Irish, I believe, though despite it also meant another thing, I don't do it which is drinking," Taylor said, paused, then said, "On the other hand, Oogie must've placed it here to mock us to think this battle was supposed to be lucky."

The Doctor looked, and said, "Indeed. That is a Holiday Door. Hmmm?" He soon looked at Taylor, and said, "Like I said, I'm sorry Taylor, but maybe if it was, I bet it would've been easier and..." Doctor soon stopped, thought, then gasped, and said, "Jack! Taylor! What's today's date?"

Taylor soon replied, "Where I'm from I don't know what it is, unfortunately."

Jack soon thought, then said, "Well here today is..." He thought then said, "December 24th." Everyone is shocked as Jack said, "Oh no... It's almost Christmas!"

The Doctor soon asked, "I wonder what's happening with the Christmas Door..."

"I don't know, but I hope we find it soon," Tess replied.

The Doctor opened his lid to scratch his brain, while Jack said, "We need to go back to the Pumpkin Patch. But it won't be easy, because according to Bentley and Vin, Oogie's monsters have possessed the pumpkins at the entrance, blocking anyone from entering."

The Doctor thought, saying, "Hmmm..." Then gasped, and said, "I know! We'll scare those monsters out of the pumpkins! Give me just a moment..." The Doctor soon began to wheel off somewhere.

Sally soon came to the lab, holding a Christmas present and having Pumpkin on her head, she soon asked, "Is the Doctor himself again?"

Jack replied, "Yes! He's making a device to help us defeat Oogie's army."

Sally soon presented the present to Jack, and asked, "Jack, do you think this might be helpful, too?"

Jack took the present, and asked, "What's this?" The present soon vanished in snowflakes, and then Jack spun with the snowflakes, and was wearing the Santa costume he was wearing when he tried to take over Christmas, complete with its one hat, and said, "It's Sandy's costume!"

The Doctor soon came back, chuckled and said, "That outfit really suits you!" He stops his chair, and said, "I completed the scare devise. If I told you what's in it though, that would ruin the surprise!" He gave the devise to Jack, and said, "Hide this in Sandy bag, and use it to stun Oogie's Monsters!"

Taylor soon looked at something else and said, "I think I found the other half of the Ability Sphere." She looks at the other half of the sphere to see the ability.

The stick is doing the same thing as the last ability, only this time it touched the right side of the gem and the figure had wings and what looks like a halo, which the figure grabs, and a new one forms, while the grabbed on broke to be a small stick, then the figure pulled a line on the stick in hand which was colored ice blue and shot the small stick like an arrow.

Taylor soon touched the right side of the diamond of her staff, and soon some snowflakes went around her, and her clothes were the same, but went from black to cerulean, her diamond was now ice blue. She soon looks up and saw an icy halo over her, then looks back and saw some angel wings behind her, she tried to think, but the wings didn't move. She took the halo and a new one formed, while the one she had went straight, and took form of an arrow. The Soul Robber soon went to the bottom of her staff, she then shot the ice arrow, which hit the wall. She soon said, "Okay, this time that is cool!"

"I agree," Bentley said, everyone looked at him, as he continued, "I think this would be the Frost of Christmas, which gives you icy attacks, mainly your staff with the help of the Soul Robber is a bow and have infinite ice arrows."

"Well, this will chill Oogie's monsters," Tess said, which caused everyone to laugh.

Sorry about this took too long, but I was sidetracked by game playing. So, Jack, Taylor and her friends now have another Holiday Door, but learned that it was Christmas Eve, and the had to save it, with also both Taylor and Jack get new abilities as well.
