Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out. These are the words I say to myself before I go out in front of the crowds, under the lights, on the "stage" so to speak that is the WWE.

I close my eyes for a few minutes, trying to allow the breathing to calm me. Thus far it hasn't worked.

I never used to get this nervous. Back when it was still fun, all done in fun and for love of the sport. But lately I haven't been feeling the fun.

Sure it's been awhile since I fell in the image of the fans, fell off the pedestal they had me on.

I never asked to be on that pedestal, but it was nice to be up there.

I was looked up to, revered. Now I hear the word slut wherever I go.

Why can't these people just let it go?

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

I close my eyes once more.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

The breathing seems to help sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't.

I never used to be scared of going out in front to the lights, the crowd, the fans, the judgments.

But now I live every day scared of what someone will say, scared of what someone will do, scared of how someone will see me.

I don't date. I don't date, because I am scared of how someone will expect me to act, scared of what their friends will say, their family.

Who would have thought it me…the fearless diva, the queen of extreme, who would have thought I'd be scared?

Breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out. Maybe this time I won't be so scared.
