Terra sat staring at the fire in her house back at White Run. The fire was warm and felt good against her slightly damp skin. The rain had been heavy when she returned to White Run. She had been exhausted after leaving the Nightingales back at the cave and the comfort of her home was healing her slowly. It was better in the end to leave while the two others were fuming in their rooms; she wanted to avoid anymore fighting with either of them or for that matter to have both of them fighting with each other. She wasn't going to try and sleep with either of them in the end. She had an ache in her chest every time one of them attempted anything with her and though she would have enjoyed a romp in the hay the nagging feeling in the back of her mind was just too much.

The house arl was trying to talk with her about different events in town and give Terra the low down on the gossip but in the end Terra just didn't seem interested.

The knock on the door stirred both women and the Arl looked at Terra, "Ser, where you expecting anyone this evening?"

"No," Terra answered getting up to check but was signaled to stay seated; the arl got up to answer for Terra.

"Yes, Can I help you?" the Arl asked.

The voice sounded slightly urgent but tried to remain calm, "I wish to speak to the harbinger."

Terra stared at the door and tried not to sigh, Vilkas was on the other side of the door. She had hoped that none of the companions had noticed she had come back. "Let him in, please," Terra instructed trying not to sound too annoyed with any one in particular.

The Arl opened the door and let the man in. She eyed him carefully but soon took him not to be a true danger. This did not stop the woman from taking a seat in the corner of the room to watch their transaction.

"Harbinger, I have come…" Vilkas looked over at the woman who was still there with them.

"She is fine," Terra tried to sound like she was writing the woman off as a piece of furniture.

"But about…" Vilkas was trying to be discreet and it was actually annoying Terra.

"Vilkas, just talk," Terra instructed the man in a rather harsh tone.

"Harbinger, I have come to ask that you break my curse," Vilkas said a little nervous.

Terra raised an eyebrow at him. She knew the twins had wanted to remove, but to have one of them come and ask was surprising. The trek would be back to the burial site. The travel wasn't too long by horse, but with one of them being a wolf that would not be a good route to take. So a bit longer for travel to the site wasn't a terrible thing in a normal situation, but for the awkwardness that she had with the twins it was not so pleasant of a trip in her mind. Plus dragging the head of a dead witch with her was not a pleasurable event either. It didn't smell as much as it use to because she had shoved the thing into a jar but even with herbs and concoctions stuffed in with the head, the smell will linger when it is carried. She would have to soak in oils for days not to mention she would need to bath while on the road just to keep the black magic at bay with this creature. This would make the trip even longer because the hassle of finding running water somewhere along the way.

"I can guide you, but it will be that will need to break the curse in the end," Terra simply answered.

"But isn't it just magic?" Vilkas question was sharp. "I do not work magic. I understand the theory of it and it is an interesting study but I have no abilities in performing such things."

"I mean to end the curse you will have to face off with yourself, if you feel you can do that then I will guide you," Terra answered. "I will take care of any magic that is needed for the ritual, but it doesn't actually require such knowledge."

"I am strong and wise so I can do this," Vilkas retorted with a snort.

"Humility would be a good trait to learn, Vilkas," Terra growled low. "One does not need to flaunt their abilities if they are good. Actions will speak louder than words." She took a breath to control her temper for a moment. She looked the man in the eyes; they reflected determination and a drive to complete anything that he was set to do, "When do you want to leave?"

"Now," he answered quickly.

"What?!" the arl cut in, "That is crazy you need to prep for the travel and… and…" She was silenced with a glare from Terra.

"Fine," Terra looked over at her pack that had not even been taken apart yet. She got up and threw it on her shoulder. "Now it is."

Vilkas stared at Terra in surprise. He shook the shock from his face and got up quickly. He had a small bag with him and that was all.

"Get me the head," Terra ordered the Arl who was still glaring hard at Vilkas.

The woman left quickly and soon returned from the back room with the disgusting head. It had kept because of the liquid that was in the jar but it still had a pungent smell wafting from it.

Vilkas made a choking noise but said nothing as he left out the door.

Terra took the jar and the arl looked at her, "Ser, you just returned from the other mission and the trip with…" she stopped a moment then continued, "You will kill yourself if you keep this up."

Terra smiled softly at the woman, "This job calls for everyone else to be before me. If someone is in trouble I will guide them out of it. Please, just watch the house. I appreciate the work you do." Terra handled the jar with disgust and left through her front door wanting the journey to go smoothly.
