Ysgramor's tomb was the place holds extreme importance to the companions and those who followed the ancient ways. This is also where the ritual where the cure must be performed.
Terra was relieved that they reached the tomb with no more trouble. She really couldn't imagine fighting against a dragon in the outfit she was now wearing. Grant it she relied on magic for the most part, but she felt that if she moved too much there would be a viewing that no one but her would complain about. She shivered at the thought of it.
"Terra," Vilkas sounded slightly different, his voice was a little rougher than normal.
"Sorry, had a bad thought enter my mind right now. We will be dealing with undead here so I hope you are ready," Terra explained.
"No, Terra," Vilkas was standing very close to Terra now. There was something off, he almost smell wrong.
The only sound that Terra could hear for a moment was the rushing of blood flow in her ears. Her heart felt like it was in her throat. She didn't need him to tell her anything, she knew he had some feelings for her. Something made her snap quickly and she felt like the negative energy from the head was gaining in strength, it was like a voice in the back of her mind.
"Terra, you must understand that this means so much to me," he was whispering now. The huskiness of his voice, it was actually pretty close to his brother's.
She went into the tomb to escape anything that he would say to her. She didn't need this; she was doing him a favor. The ache of her not having action in her nether region was a sharp contrast to what the ache in her heart was telling her brain. In fact, both of them were talking in contrasting tones and both were shouting at her. The fact that she couldn't really control her emotions at that moment made her think that the stupid witch's head was causing this whole problem. She had been alone when she cured herself.
In the tomb, she went to one of the torches and lit the end. She didn't want to waste magic trying to keep lighting their way. She remembered the short cut but she wasn't sure if this would affect the spell. She didn't want to take any chances even if it meant that she would have to spend more time with him. With all the negative energy that was now flowing from the head the more Terra wanted to finish this as quickly as possible.
"Terra, please don't…" Vilkas had taken hold of her wrist that was holding the head and spun her toward him. His other hand had taken hold of her hand that was holding the torch. His fingers were slowly caressing her. "Terra, if there is one thing that my brother and I share it is the taste of women we enjoy."
Terra made a sound that was unintelligible as she felt the jar slip out of her hands and it crashed to the floor near them. The smell was overwhelming but at that moment Vilkas didn't flinch from Terra. She tried to slowly pull away from him, "Is that so? I mean it makes a little sense since you are twins…" she was trapped. Every time she stepped away from him, he would take two steps closer to her. She was soon pinned between him and the offerings alter. She could feel the negative energy creeping over them, it was choking her. She could feel all the emotions that she had in check were now threatening to take over. He must be getting feedback from the negative energy, she struggled against the hand that was holding her wrist, but as she did he tightened his grip. Pain from the grip was the only thing that was keeping her mind in check. That's right Vilkas, she thought, keep hurting and it will keep this negativity in check for her.
"We may not look alike, we definitely don't speak the same way, and we do not think in the same manner, but we eat the same things, drink the same things and have the same taste in women," Vilkas said softly, the sound of his voice was the opposite of the pain he was causing her, "Terra, I would give you the stars in the skies…just tell me what to do. Tell me how I could make you forget that fool kid."
"Vilkas, we can't be doing this…" Terra struggled not to meet his eyes. She knew the sadness that was there. She knew that these strong emotions were from the energy but it was hard to focus with this much energy in the air, she fought against herself. A voice in the back of her head was telling her that it didn't matter which sibling it was as long as she got pleasure what was wrong with that. The only thing keeping her straight was the ache in her chest.
"Terra… I need the strength to do this, I can't do this alone," Vilkas moved his hand from the torch and forced her to gently look at him. "You are strength to all the companion's, but for my brother and I there is something there that you have given us."
Terra was silent as his eyes bore into her. She couldn't control her heart beating quickly. She knew something was seriously wrong with this. He was speaking softly but the words he was used were full of hatred. He would never be so cruel to his brother. He would not purposefully do this so that his brother's heart would hurt.
No, the voice whispered to Terra in her mind, it was her job to hurt the siblings. It was her that caused a rift in the purest kind of love. She was the one that destroyed them, why stop at just their minds, why not enjoy their bodies and break them.
"Vilkas, I am her…" Terra tried to comfort him all the while ignoring the hatred coming to her mind.
He had used her talking as a chance to taste her. His lips hungrily pressed against hers, his tongue probing her mouth with an urgency she had only felt when kissing his brother.
The pain in her chest was now sharp and jagged. Even with the enjoyment of the feeling of his lips against her and the soft cooing sounds he made of pleasurable. She ached for being stoked and touched, fulfilled in a pleasant moment of ecstasy. It was the voice laughing that struck her like a slap in the face.
She shook herself free of the enjoyment because her heart screamed that it wasn't who she wanted. In an instant she used his moment of being unguarded and dropped herself and the torch. She had to get some distance from him. She had made herself dead weight; it had been almost like she had passed out. She hit the floor with a thud and her arm dangled in his hand.
Vilkas panicked and went to grab for her, but because of his awkward position in kissing her, he had to catch himself against the alter. He had to fight not to fall on to Terra.
In the confusion, Terra escaped away from him.
"Vilkas, if you weren't Farkas's brother I would strike you dead right now!" Terra was fuming. She could feel the dragon's energy run through her, the hair on her arms were standing on end as she was fighting not to cast a theum at him. She had to pull herself away from the anger that was flooding her mind, it was the witch's head, she chanted to herself while trying to not to bite,"Who gave you permission to kiss me?!"
Vilkas stood before her in shock of the events that had just happened, "Terra… I, I just wanted to see if I…"
"I came here as a favor to you, do you understand the trust that I put into you to come here and do this?" Terra was growling and struggling against the power her body was summoning. There was popping and crackling sounds of her energies from the magic she was casting was having an unusual effect on the negative energy that came from the head. It was almost like it was canceling out the negative energy.
Vilkas dropped his head and whimpered, "I am sorry, Terra…beloved... I just couldn't…"
Terra could feel the pain that he was struggling with. She stared at him; she was now wary and did not want to drop her guard against him. Now that the energies were canceling out the negative effects she could see the change in his eyes, the effects of the head were being wiped away. The problem for Terra was even with the knowledge of the head causing these effects, the head couldn't have put the emotions into them, and these had to be present deep in the person somewhere. Now that she knew this there was no chance she would put down her guard around him.
"We worked so well together, I can't understand how, the two of us, who make such beautiful dance partners couldn't be one," Vilkas enlightened Terra on how he felt. "I am jealous of my brother. The goddess we both follow willingly does not bat an eye at me but sees my brother as her fulfillment. Could you possibly understand what that feels like? "
"No," Terra answered, her anger slowly seeping from her. The energy that had been electrifying the air was dissipating and she was now calming down. She couldn't understand what he was going through but she could be there for him as a support through this big event but she couldn't have him. Her heart wasn't with him. He was not the man she craved. Even with the control and taste that his kiss had that aroused her he could not quench the desire she had and with that realization she felt terrible. She had made a wedge between siblings. These two had only each other and she had destroyed that.
"Terra…" Vilkas had moved close to her, "Please finish this with me. Help me find closure."
Terra felt downright wicked and disgusting right then. She was not worthy of any title or to be cherished. Even if she hadn't meant to, she had done something terrible to those two. There was nothing that she could think of that would make up for this. Even with the fact that the head had brought all this out, she had still been the reason for it.
"Yes, of course," she bent down and took the torch. She moved to the alter and cringed as she grabbed hold of the witch's hair because there was no way she was holding that thing against her body but they had to take it to the sacred flame. There was a moment of her gagging and the threat of losing her last meal in the temple, but she wasn't going to vomit; even if this thing was dead she would not give it anymore power over them.
