Hello again, everyone. Sorry this took longer than expected to complete, and it's not nearly as long as I would've liked. But hopefully all of you like this chapter, and I hope that you continue to enjoy this story. So, let's not waste any more time, and let's get started.

Chapter 8

It was a nice night outside for everyone who lived in Napier town. All of the clouds were brushed away, revealing the constellation that everyone could observe. It was a sight that every resident of this town enjoyed.

So naturally, when some ki blasts and beams shot through the air and blocked the night sky, the folk of Napier town grew annoyed. Don't these hooligans have better stuff to do than obscure the beautiful night sky?

Unfortunately for those residents, it wasn't something that these "hooligans" would stop soon. As in the origin of where those ki blasts came from was an all out brawl.

Ramble and Jason both fought off various different agents, both of them trying their best to take them all down.

Ramble had a quick clash with one of them, before quickly kneeing them then sending them flying through a few walls. He then caught a fist and a leg coming towards his way, and bashed the two henchmen's heads before tossing them onto the ground. As he did so, Ramble felt a bombardment of ki blasts hitting his back, forcing him to turn around and put his arms in a cross formation to block the attacks from the experimental cannons. The pressure was so intense, that it started to push him against the wall behind him, where there were a few agents already ready to try to attack Ramble from behind.

"Either these guys are really stubborn, or these organizations are really big." Ramble thought, turning his head and throwing a big ki blast at the nearby ground of the agents. The ki blast then proceeded to explode, knocking back the agents that were approaching him.

Suddenly, the ki blasts stopped, and Ramble turned his head back around to see the giant beam that had just been launched directly at him.

Ramble proceeded to jump into the air, as the beam hit the building behind him. The building, which already lacked integrity, crumbled and started to fall on Ramble. Ramble then kicked and punched away the falling debris, proceeding to punch straight through the giant wall that was falling on him. He then proceeded to turn back around, seeing the incoming ki blasts. In response, Ramble proceeded to let off some of his own ki blasts, which met the ones that were coming toward him. But as the blasts were being let loose, more and more people with their own ki cannons came over and joined the fray. In response to this, Ramble quickly put his hands to his side, then thrusted them forward, yelling "HA!"

The blue beam easily bulldozed through the ki blasts. The agents then tried to retreat back, but the speed of the beam far out matched theirs, as they got thrown forward by the explosion of the Kamehameha.

Ramble stayed in the air, taking short and quick breaths, trying to compose himself. But as he was trying to do that, more agents suddenly appeared behind him and collectively smashed him into the ground.

Ramble then proceeded to help himself up, cracking his neck and dusting himself off.

"I wonder if Jason's having any more luck than me…" Ramble thought, zooming back out to meet the agents.

A bit ago in the same location…

Jason blocked and dodged multiple different blows, then countering the ones who let out those attacks. The agents that traded blows with Jason were all knocked away, but they all quickly reoriented themselves and zoomed right back at Jason. In response, he took guard, but just as he did, he was struck from behind. Jason winced, then proceeded to whip around and kick the agents away, and turned back around just in time to catch the incoming blow coming from one of the agents. But as soon as he did, another one of the agents came around from the first one, and landed a clean blow onto Jason's stomach. Before Jason could catch his breath, both of the agents backed away, as one of the other agents let out a giant ki blast towards Jason, knocking him back through a wall.

The agents all moved in, but before they even went through the hole in the wall, Jason grabbed the heads of two agents and smashed their heads together. He then dropped the agents, before kneeing the agent in the gut. He then raised both of his hands, and smashed the agent into the ground.

But before he could take a moment to recompose, three more agents with experimental ki cannons came over, with their blasters already charged.

"This is getting tiresome," Jason thought, before he started to charge through the ki blasts. But before he could reach them, they all jumped back and let out a giant ki blast.

Jason, in response, crossed his arms into a x formation, as all three blasts made contact with him. The resulting explosion created a dust cloud, and the three agents stayed in the air. But only a moment after, Jason flew straight towards one of them, uppercutting them. Before the agent could get to their senses, Jason grabbed his leg and threw him at the other agents. The other two quickly phased out of the way, both of them firing their cannons. Jason proceeded to fly straight through both blasts, and grabbed the faces of both the agents, zooming toward the ground and planting them squarely into it. He stood over the limp bodies of the two agents, holding his left arm, with some noticeable bruises all over his body. He was breathing hard, looking around for any other agents that may come. Just as he was about to start walking, 3 agents then sprouted from the alleys and charged at Jason.

Jason in response sighed, and took a stance.

The first agent that reached him went for a punch, to which Jason caught the blow. He then punched the agent in the gut, causing the agent to grunt, before ripping his hand from Jason's grip and grabbing onto Jason's arm, immobilizing him. Before he could react, another agent ran up and punched Jason in the jaw. The first two agents backed away, as the third agent came and elbowed Jason in the gut. Jason then recomposed himself, before crossing his arms over his chest, blocking the combined punch of the 2nd and 3rd agent. The force sent him off balance, as he crashed into a wall, and fell to the ground.

Gritting his teeth, Jason smashed his fists into the ground, and forced himself to pick himself up. He then glared at the 3 agents, who quickly grew into a large group of agents, before taking a stance. But before he could try to fight them again, something came crashing into the ground next to Jason, creating a small crater with the impact.

Suddenly, from the crater, a battered looking Ramble pulled himself up.

"Well, these guys definitely are tough." Ramble thought to himself, as he dusted himself off. "And those cannons aren't a joke either. So what do I-"

Before he finished, Ramble noticed Jason behind him, giving him a look that would've killed him on the spot.

"Wow, he looks beat up. Guess I've underestimated these guys." Ramble thought, as he turned his head back forward to see the massive hoard of agents, some of them having their ki cannons already charged.

"Guess I gotta just manage." Ramble thought, before falling into a stance.

As those thoughts ran through Ramble's head, Jason continued to look at Ramble, trying to stab him with his eyes. But as Ramble got into his stance, Jason looked back at the large amounts of enemies that he and Ramble faced, and all of the ki cannons ready to fire at them.

"Tch…" Jason said to himself, before he walked up next to Ramble and put his hands up in a boxing stance.

Ramble quickly looked over to Jason, with his eyebrows raised. Jason then looked at him with another glare, but only a quick one, as he turned his attention back to the agents.

Ramble held his gaze for a few seconds, before he brought his eyebrows back down and started smirking, and looked back at the agents.

"Well, let's go." Ramble stated, before he and Jason charged together at the hoard, letting the massive battle ensue.
