Hey, guess who finally finished this chapter! Anyways, I happened to have been busy these past two months or so, so I hope that this chapter was worth the wait. Welp, that's all I have to say, so enjoy!

Chapter 10

The tuffle-human fusion let out his bellowing laugh. This felt great! Not only were the experimental pills a success, the rings worked perfectly!

"I suppose that we shall trade after all…" the fusion thought as he laughed. He then noticed the two figures surrounded in darkness walking out of the shadow of the building.

"But the next time we do trade, I believe that we should do it in a more disclosed space…" the fusion thought as he finished his laugh.

Ramble and Jason both walked through the rubble of the building, both of them walking side by side. The both then stopped, before falling into a fighting stance.

The fusion sighed, before saying "If you two could run off now, that would help our business a lot."

He then let out some of his power, letting loose a wide smile.

Ramble and Jason both flinched at the feeling that their ki senses told them. It was screaming at them to run, that this fight was not one worth fighting. But they both put aside that feeling, and unleashed as much power as they possibly could.

Then, after a moment, both sides suddenly rushed towards each other. Then once they got close enough to each other, the giant fusion landed onto the ground and spun in a circle quickly, before swinging his fist at the two patrollers. Jason and Ramble both proceeded to jump over the swinging fist, the force of the swing blowing away the few buildings that were behind Ramble and Jason. Then only a moment later, Ramble turned around and blasted the fusion, a cloud of smoke forming. Suddenly, the fusion turned around and grabbed Ramble's leg, and slammed him into the ground.

Before Jason could react, the fusion turned around to face him and proceeded to punch him in the gut, knocking the wind out of him. He then proceeded to bring the arm that was holding Ramble, and knocked away Jason with him.

He looked at Jason with a wicked grin, as Jason recovered and tried to charge at the fusion. The giant got ready to make a move, but before he did, Ramble fired a kamehameha at the back of the giant's leg, making him lose balance. Jason then appeared in front of the giant, and proceeded to uppercut the giant. Ramble then at that same moment managed to pry his leg out of the giant's grip, and appeared behind the giant. Then, Ramble and Jason both elbowed the giant in the front and back, before pummeling him with a flurry of punches. They both then knee'd the giant, before backflipping away while kicking off of him. As soon as they landed back onto the ground, they both charged back towards the giant with one fist forward. Ramble proceeded to punch the giant in the back, and Jason proceeded to punch the giant across the face.

The fusion, having had enough, grabbed Jason and Ramble out of the air, and put them both into the ground, before pummeling them further into it. He then jumped up high into the air, before zooming towards the ground, putting one fist in front of him.

From the ground, Jason and Ramble both shot up, flying side by side towards the giant with their fists outstretched.

The two forces flew straight towards each other, both sides' auras flaring up. The giant wore a wicked smile, while Jason and Ramble grit their teeth in anticipation for the impact.

Then, the two sides came into contact.

Both sides pushed against each other, with neither one showing signs of giving up. The giant's clear aura started to turn into a darker color, and started to expand. Meanwhile, Jason and Ramble's auras started to meld together, and proceeded to enlarge and match the increase of the giant's aura.

The giant tried to gain ground, but the time patroller duo wouldn't give in. His smile then turned into a scowl.

"You're making this a lot harder than it should be!" The giant exclaimed, as he swung his free arm towards the side of the two patrollers. Ramble, noticing this action just in time, turned towards the incoming blow and crossed his arms over his chest, taking in the brunt of the impact. The impact then sent Ramble back into Jason, knocking the two to the side.

The giant then smirked before lifting his right hand towards the duo. Then, as soon as he lifted it to the right height, he proceeded to fire a blast towards them. Ramble, in response, quickly put his hands to his side, before launching a Kamehameha towards the blast. Then ensued a beam clash, a clash that appeared to not be very long, as the giant's beam still slowly overtook Ramble's Kamehameha.

"Ha! If you need your partner to match me, what do you think you can do on your-" before the giant continued, Jason suddenly appeared next to the giant and punched him across the face, making the giant lose focus.

Ramble, realizing this, proceeded to take back the rest of the charged list back to his side, and spun around to the right side to dodge the giant's beam. He then quickly flew up to the giant, before unleashing the rest of the Kamehameha onto the giant, sending the giant flying into a building, which promptly fell on top of him.

Jason and Ramble floated in the air, both of them catching their breath and looking quite a mess, as Jason's and Ramble's armor had cracks all over them and their clothes looked torn.

Then, suddenly, the giant burst from the rubble of the house. The top half of his suit ripped away, revealing a ring on his arm, and his mask was cracked. Before either Jason or Ramble could react, the giant suddenly appeared in front of Ramble and grabbed his left arm, causing a few cracking noises. Before Ramble could cry out in pain, the giant spun around and through him towards the ground. He then caught a punch thrown by Jason, and turned to deliver a punch straight to the gut, a punch that knocked the wind out of Jason. The giant then kicked Jason away, before appearing right before Ramble and punching him square in the face. He then grabbed Ramble's left arm and threw him behind him.

Ramble landed on the ground with a thud, groaning as he tried to push himself up. He then was left only able to witness as the giant quickly approached him, ready to land the last blow. But then, right before the giant's fist hit Ramble, Jason appeared right in front of him, and blocked the blow, which sent both him and Ramble flying back into an abandoned building.

"This is getting tiresome." The giant stated as he went through the hole of the building, only to see that Ramble and Jason weren't in the spot he thought they'd be.

"You cannot hide forever!" The giant examined as he proceeded to fly through the building up into the sky, and started to fly around the whole area, searching for Jason and Ramble.

Meanwhile, in the basement of a building…

"This is bad…" Ramble said against the basement wall.

"As if that wasn't clear already?" Jason responded looking through the cracks of the walls.

Ramble sat against the wall, deep in thought.

"Nothing's worked so far. This guy took my Kamehameha head on, and it doesn't even look like it did that much damage!"

He then looked at his arm. "And with one arm pretty hurt, what are supposed to-"

"If you don't come out in about 30 seconds, I will blast every single one of these buildings until I find you!" The giant exclaimed, as he hovered in the air, scanning the area.

Ramble perked up at the sound of that, and immediately got up to his feet.

"What are you doing?" Jason asked, seeing the gears turning in Ramble's head.

"Okay, listen, I might have a plan, but you're going to need to help me."

Jason stood there for a few seconds, contemplating the course of action that should be taken, before finally turning towards the saiyan, and asking "Fine, what is it?"

"So, here it is…"

A little later, outside…

"10!"

"9!"

"8!

"7!"

"6!"

"5-"

The giant then noticed some movement in a nearby building. Smirking to himself, he then sent a blast to that building, expecting an explosion. To his surprise, his attack suddenly disappeared after crashing through the first wall, seemingly getting sucked away.

Confused, the giant flew through the building, not seeing either one of the patrollers.

"Where are those-"

Before he could finish that thought, he then heard movement from the building behind him. He then whipped around and fired another ki blast towards the building, to which this ki blast also seemingly evaporated.

"What is going on? There's no conceivable way for them to be able to do that." The giant thought as he walked out of the building. "So, how-"

"Hey!" a voice suddenly called out.

The fusion turned his head towards the source of the voice, to which he found that human patroller.

"Are you going to stand there, or actually try to kill me?" Jason asked, taunting the giant.

The giant responded by firing a fully-powered energy wave towards Jason. Jason then moved out of the way, revealing Ramble behind him, who had both arms outstretched charging an attack.

The giant laughed, thinking that he had finally killed one of those pesky patrollers.

Then, suddenly, Jason appeared behind the giant, and put him in a hold.

"Why you-" before the giant finished his sentence, he noticed his ki attack going through that same sucking process as the earlier times. Except this time, he saw clearly that the energy of that attack had been used to charge Ramble's, who could be seen smirking.

The giant's eyes widened, as Ramble quickly moved the dark ball of energy to one hand, pulled back his hand, and then clenched it. He then put his fist forward, yelling out "CHAYOTEHA!"

A black beam erupted from his fist, quickly approaching the giant. Jason, hearing the name of Ramble's attack being called out, let go of the giant and kicked him forward, before getting out of the way.

The giant, having been knocked forward, could only take on the full force of the Chayoteha. He got sent back into a building, to which the beam exploded as soon as it made contact. The resulting explosion created a shockwave, which knocked down all nearby buildings in the area.

"Heh! Dead on." Ramble said, as he looked towards the direction of where the giant was sent. Jason then suddenly appeared next to Ramble, looking at the dust cloud that was created from the explosion.

"Good thing our plan worked!" Ramble said. "Otherwise, I think we would've been toast."

"…"

"Welp, back to the ol' silent treatment, huh?" he thought, turning his attention back to the dust cloud that was dissipating. "Jeez, what will it take for this guy to fully trust me?" he thought, before realizing that he could still feel a bit of that ominous feeling.

Then, suddenly, a massive hand cut through smoke, revealing a pretty battered up but very much alive giant. His pants were nothing but ruined, and the ring that was on his left arm started flashing quickly.

Ramble and Jason both went back on guard, ready to take on the giant once more.

"The next time we meet, I'll make sure to kill you." he stated, before flying the opposite direction of Ramble and Jason.

"Hey!" Ramble said, before he and Jason started chasing after the giant.

The giant, realizing Jason and Ramble was chasing him, proceeded to fire off a barrage of ki blasts towards their way.

Ramble and Jason both dodged all of the ki blasts sent their way, noticing the giant flying down into an alleyway.

"He's not gonna get away that easily!" Ramble stated, as both he and Jason flew down to the same alleyway, noticing a small flash of light coming from it.

"Got-" Ramble started, as both he and Jason touched down onto the floor.

"…ya?" Ramble finished, realizing that the giant had seemingly vanished without a trace.

"W-what? Where did he go?" Ramble said, looking around in the alleyway.

"I can't even sense him! Where is he?" Ramble thought to himself, as he tried to find any trace of the giant.

"Forget it." Jason said, walking up next to Ramble. "He's gone, somehow."

Ramble looked towards Jason. "Maybe help me try to find him before jumping to assumptions?"

"If you have forgotten, which it seems so, we are to bring back both people and those experimental weapons. That brute didn't seem to be using one, but those others sure as hell were."

"But we can't just-"

"Do I need to remind you what I said to you earlier today? I would assume you could remember that."

"Is this guy serious?" Ramble thought to himself, turning towards him.

Ramble and Jason stared hard at each other, seemingly for what felt like forever.

Then, Ramble sighed, before stating "Fine. We'll go back to the vans."

Jason, seemingly not changing his expression, turned and started to fly back in the direction of the vans, with Ramble closely following.

A bit later, at the vans…

Ramble touched down, noticing the lack of agents and the few ki canons that were simply lying on the ground.

"What the?" Ramble thought as he also saw the open van door, revealing a crate filled with ki cannons.

"Where are the agents?" Ramble asked, as he approached the vans. "I don't sense them around here, so they can't be hiding."

"Just get the crate and go." Jason said, as he grabbed a few of the cannons. "And make sure you're careful with those, they could explode."

Ramble looked at Jason for a moment, before going into the van and picking up the crate. Ramble then turned around and was about to start flying away, until he noticed a small beeping noise coming from the bottom of the crate. He then lifted the crate, and saw the bomb attached to it, with the display on it saying "armed and ready for remote detonation".

"Crap." Ramble thought as he tossed it behind him and jumped in front of Jason, as the bomb went off, and causing all of the other cannons inside of it to explode. The collective force of the explosion was enough to blow down everything within a 100-meter radius, and the explosion itself engulfed both Jason and Ramble.

Meanwhile, up high in the air…

"Heh! Got them." The agent stated, putting down the binoculars. He then pulled out a radio from his side pocket.

"Boss? Yeah it's me. I got those two.

…

Nah, definitely got 'em both. Even if they are somehow alive, ain't no way that they are in any position to be going anywhere.

…

Just doing my job boss. See ya back at our place." he concluded, turning off the radio.

He then put the binoculars back to his eyes, scanning the rubble for any sign of the two patrollers.

Seeing that there wasn't any trace of them, the agent smirked and flew away, ready to go back to base.

Back on the ground…

Jason, sensing that the little amount of energy that was in the air was gone, pushed a large chunk of debris off of him. His armor was all but destroyed, and all of his clothes were torn, and he was covered with bruises and cuts. He looked around and saw all of the surrounding area was blown away or knocked down. He then looked back down at Ramble, who had been lying next to him. He then remembered how the saiyan gave him some of his energy, allowing him to tank the blast.

He looked at the saiyan, thinking about that action, wondering why he had done that. Then, after a little time, he picked up Ramble onto his back, and started to fly towards the nearest hospital he could find.
