As they crested the hill, Weiss let out a sigh of relief that mirrored those released by the rest of her team. The sight of the towering stone walls that encircled Argus brought forth a tide of emotions. They were finally safe; as safe as they could be on Remnant, anyway. Beyond those walls were hot food and a warm bath, both of which were sorely needed. She was starting to smell a little over ripe, unbecoming of someone such as her. Also beds! Oh, Weiss wanted to sleep in a real bed more than almost anything in the world. Pillows, blankets, a mattress so soft even her diminutive frame could sink into it. She wanted to lay on a literal cloud after nights spent sleeping on floorboards and riding in the back of a trailer across some of bumpiest, awkward terrain known to man.

Now if only she could forget those awful screams of the Apathy, life would almost be perfect.

Those walls contained everything she desired within – and she couldn't wait until she could claim perhaps the one thing she desired above all else. If only those blasted Grimm hadn't attacked the train! Thinking back on that made her irrationally angry. Not just because of their interruption, but because it had been the perfect opportunity to use his semblance on her!

Why hadn't she thought of that? She was meant to be smart! If Jaune had filled her with his aura, they might not have been separated in the first place! Weiss was confident in her abilities, and if she was further enhanced? She remembered the feeling when she had summoned her Queen Lancer. Like nothing in the world could stop her. It may have been enough to drive the Grimm away and keep the entire train intact.

But then... they might not have found out the truth.

As they approached the heavily fortified gates, Weiss couldn't help but let her gaze wander over to their youngest member. Oscar looked exhausted. Not just physically, but mentally drained in a way that perhaps none of them could understand. The revelations that had forced Ozpin into hiding had taken a toll on the young farmhand. The boy was in over his head. He wasn't a huntsman, or even a huntsman-in-training. He hadn't signed up for any of this, it wasn't a choice. He was nothing more than the unlucky soul that had been saddled with perhaps the heaviest burden of all.

And what did it mean for the rest of them? For all of Remnant? Salem, Queen of the Grimm. Salem, the Unkillable. That was perhaps a more apt title. Salem, cursed by the Gods because she dared not give up on the man she loved, even after his death. Weiss held no love for her, but she held no love for the Gods that had cursed her so.

How could they fight such a woman?

Their morale was low. Not the lowest it had ever been, but it was damn near close. At least this time, they were together. While they had been able to keep Salem's hands off the Relic of Knowledge, how long would it be before she claimed it? Cinder may be dead according to Yang's mother, but she had plenty of other monsters to send after them.

And she wasn't thinking about the Grimm.

The guards were wary of their approach and it took far longer than Weiss liked to be processed. Their ragtag group was drawing attention from passersby, their faces ranging from simply curious to cautious. Thankfully, they had their scrolls with their Beacon issued student numbers, confirming their identities, as well as a licensed huntsman in Ruby and Yang's uncle. Maria was also a former huntress and known to several of the men manning the gate, as it wasn't her first time in Argus. Only Oscar had no identification but being in such esteemed company eliminated any suspicion.

The first thing they did when they were granted entry was store Bumblebee in a safe location. Weiss watched with amusement as Yang gave her bike a full once over, rubbing her hands lovingly across her baby. The storage unit they hired was large enough for much bigger vehicles than Bumblebee and the owner assured them that she was in good hands, sweating visibly under the stern attention of Yang.

"Where are we meeting Jaune?" Blake asked when the transaction was complete.

"Guys!" a familiar voice called.

Weiss felt a surge of affection wash over her as he came into view, Ren and Nora by his side. They hurried towards them, Ren and Yang embracing as Nora all but mauled Oscar with a squeal, the pair tumbling to the ground. Striding on with purpose, he was within her grasp when a thieving cat got the jump on her. Blake appeared out of no where, her arms locking around Jaune's waist as she all but tackled him. Weiss watched as he returned the hug, fuming at being beaten to the punch but content to wait it out. It was a trying ordeal for all of them, after all – and she was an understanding woman.

She waited, and then waited, and waited some more. When Blake finally pulled back, it wasn't to let go. She remained by his side, one arm tucked around his waist as they stood together. They looked like parents, overlooking their rowdy children.

Weiss shuffled awkwardly.

She felt like a third wheel. Not a very nice feeling.

She cleared her throat to gain his attention.

"Weiss," Jaune said warmly. His smile was infectious, her own lips pulling into her own wide smile. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you guys."

"The feeling is mutual," Blake said before Weiss could reply, drawing her ire in the form of a scowl. Blake didn't even notice.

"Nora, Oscar can't breathe," Ren pointed out. They all shared a laugh as the younger boy struggled beneath her weight. It was exactly what they needed, the tension visibly leeching from the group as they laughed.

Nora popped up and pointed at Maria, "Who's the old lady?"

"Old lady, eh?" Nora yelped as the veteran huntress bonked her over the head with her cane.

"I'm so glad you're safe," Jaune continued, looking straight at her.

"Did everyone make it to Argus?" she asked, thinking about the civilians. He nodded.

"Ren's semblance kept us hidden all the way in. No Grimm followed," he frowned. "They all went after you."

After the Relic was left unsaid.

Finally Blake stepped away to greet the rest of Team JNPR, giving her an opportunity. Stepping into him, she wound her arms around him, pulling him flush against her. Jaune let out a small laugh, hugging her back firmly. He smelt nice, unlike her. She really hoped he couldn't smell the days of sweat and grime on her skin.

"Hey Jaune!" Yang greeted happily. Weiss squawked as her teammate pressed into her from behind, her bust squashing her face into Jaune's breastplate. Struggle was futile, Yang's hold on the pair of them absolute iron.

"Hey Yang," he said with amusement. "I think you are crushing Weiss."

"She'll be fine," the blonde said without concern. "You're a sight for sore eyes, let me tell you."

"Warrgghbl," Weiss growled as she attempted to squirm free.

"Ditto," Jaune replied. "You're all unharmed?"

Yang finally let go, Weiss stumbling away at finally being freed from her clutches. "More or less – we ran into a bit of trouble, some nasty Grimm hidden in a basement, but we pulled through. It was a pretty close shave, though."

"That sounds like a story."

"Not a very nice one. I'll update ya later."

Weiss rubbed at her jaw, opening and closing her mouth to stretch it out. "What's the situation here?"

Ren approached them and answered in Jaune's stead. "Quiet. They are on high alert after what happened in Vale and hearing about the attack on Haven Academy, but nothing out of the ordinary has occurred here. Just the usual few Grimm who can handle the cold, we've been helping out with scouting the surrounding area. The people are calm."

Yang sighed. "Well, that's a relief. You guys have been helping out?"

Ren nodded. "We thought it prudent to keep busy. We were feeling... restless. They were happy for us to help out. They have huntsmen stationed here and the soldiers at the military base make sure to sweep the surrounding forest daily, but there were some Grimm a little further out that needed to be taken care of."

"Jaune," Ruby called out softly.

Weiss watched carefully as he disengaged from the conversation and made his way over to her teammate. She wanted to follow but knew she was being selfish, wanting his attention all to herself at a time like this. So instead, she observed as they conversed quietly. When Nora joined them, Weiss gave her a quick, heartfelt hug without taking her eyes off the pair. Whatever they were talking about, it was intense. Soon enough, Ruby's chin wobbled; a slight twitch in her jaw but enough to convey her emotions. Jaune quickly wiped the tears from his eyes.

And then she was in his arms, one of his hands threading through her reddish-black hair.

Weiss looked away.

They soon found themselves boarding a streetcar that took them straight through the middle of Argus. The architecture was very different from what was seen in Mistral. It was closer to what could be found in Vale, but Weiss could spot the hand of Mantle in every building they passed. The town houses were three stories tall but slender, packed together with small alleys that separated them. The vast harbour could be seen in the distance, growing ever larger as they traveled down the steep street. Across the bay, the Atlesian military base gleamed under the rays of the sun.

"So where are we heading, kid?" Qrow asked gruffly. The man barely spoke anymore, Ozpin's secrets impacting him most of all. It didn't help that he was also out of booze.

Jaune laughed awkwardly. "Well, about that – you could say I found us a place."

Nora looked excited, bouncing up and down in her seat. "You guys are going to love it, just you wait. She is totally awesome."

"She?" Blake questioned. Nora just grinned in response while Jaune groaned, rolling his eyes.

That only confused them further. Nora's elation could mean good or bad things, considering. It was hard to tell with her. Jaune's exasperation could mean anything. As they stepped off the tram, their question was soon answered.

"There you are," an unfamiliar voice called from across the street.

Weiss blinked.

A pretty young blonde woman approached, a small child balanced with practiced ease on her hip. She had long hair and blue eyes, eyes that Weiss would recognise anywhere. Ruby obviously felt the same, letting out a gasp of surprise as her head whipped back and forth between Jaune and the newcomer, growing visibly excited. Jaune grimaced.

"Wait, is that-?" Blake began to question when Ruby shrieked with joy.

"Oh my god," the younger girl rushed forward in an explosion of petals.

"Uh, hey Saph," Jaune halfheartedly waved.

"I can't believe it! Jaune, Jaune," Ruby grabbed his arm and started tugging on it rather violently, throwing him off balance. "She's your sister, right? Right? Oh, I've heard so much about you! Er – I mean, all of you?" she paused uncertainly. "Which one of them are you? Jaune, which one is she?"

Jaune's sister laughed.

"I'm Saphron," she introduced herself, smirking at her brother, "and who might you be?"

"Ruby!" she answered quickly, giving a salute. Weiss palmed her face, remembering a similar scene when she had met her sister, Winter. "Ruby Rose!"

Weiss stepped forward and gave a picture perfect curtsy. She was feeling more nervous than she felt the situation called for. "Excuse my partner, she can be rather excitable. Weiss Schnee – a pleasure to meet you."

"I'm Yang," her teammate followed up, jerking a thumb at Ruby. "I'm this twerps older sister. Wanna share some stories, sometime? Let me tell you, I have loads."

Jaune groaned. "Please, no."

"Yaaaang!" Ruby whined.

"You bet'cha," Saphron replied with a massive grin. "I've even got photos. Big sisters unite!"

They bumped fists. At this moment, an unholy alliance was born. Jaune and Ruby shared a look filled with dread.

"Blake," the cat faunus bowed her head briefly, smiling.

Saphron gave the adults a curious look. Maria gave a toothy smile, her cybernetic eyes clicking as they tilted and shuttered. "Maria Calavera – and this grouch over here is Qrow. Don't mind the attitude, dearie. He's just gone a little to seed."

"Har har," Qrow gave Saphron a once over, straightening out of his slouch. "Qrow Branwen – Huntsman. I hope these brats didn't give you too much trouble?"

It was oddly professional for someone that had been sulking for days.

Saphron waved her hand. "Oh, they've been on their best behaviour, don't you worry. This one here is Adrian. Say hi, little guy."

His burbling was incomprehensible. It was the cutest thing Weiss had ever seen. She had to clamp down on the sudden embarrassing urge to squeal and coo at him, Yang visibly wavering at her side.

"So cute," her teammate whispered under her breath.

"The cutest," she whispered back.

"Well, how about we get going?" Saphron suggested. "I don't know about you guys, but I don't fancy standing out in the cold longer than I have to."

The walk to her residence was relatively short, the group making small talk as they made their way down the street. Weiss watched as Jaune and his sister walked side-by-side, the love they held for each other clear. They nudged and prodded one another as they bickered back and forth, reminding Weiss a little of Ruby and Yang. When they arrived at Saphron's home, they all settled in the living room where Ruby proceeded to explain their situation with guidance from Jaune. Apparently, he had informed his sister that they were on some sort of huntsman mission but had kept the details as vague as possible – confidential. For the best, as they really couldn't reveal the truth.

Would she even believe them, if they did tell her? It sounded ridiculous. Impossible.

When Saphron's wife, Terra, returned home and she left to help her in the kitchen, Weiss wandered the room. There was a framed photograph on one of the bookshelves and a closer look revealed the entirety of the Arc siblings.

"Oh," Weiss exclaimed with amusement, drawing the attention of her team.

Blake let out a startled laugh. "Oh, Jaune."

Ruby giggled while Yang threw her head back and laughed loudly.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up," Jaune said morosely.

A much younger Jaune was surrounded on a red couch by all of his sisters, the picture capturing the pure chaos of so many energetic children. He was situated in the middle, his short hair pulled into haphazard pigtails as he held a little sign with the word 'help' scrawled on the front. The look on his face was pure defeat, a little like the one he currently wore as they continued to snicker.

"Isn't he just the cutest?" Nora cooed. Ren grinned at his leader.

"I hate you all," Jaune lamented. "I just hope you all understand."

They discussed their next move over lunch. The only way into Atlas was on a military transport, as all commercial flights and ships were grounded. Weiss understood that better than anyone, having had to smuggle herself out just to reach her friends. That meant contacting the local military base and attempting to gain passage through them. The only problem was that JNPR had already tried contacting them, and had the gate slammed in their faces for their efforts. But there really wasn't any other way – and they now had something they didn't have before; a Schnee. That had to count for something, right?

But that was something that could wait until tomorrow. Because right now, it was time for baby pictures!

"Oh my gosh," Weiss felt her face heat up as Saphron passed the album around. Apparently, young Jaune hadn't very much liked clothing. Yang and Nora were beside themselves, laughing until their faces turned red. Blake tried to act like she wasn't looking but it was futile, her eyes drifting back each time a page was flipped. Her ears would twitch furiously, even with her face remaining carefully blank.

"I hate my family," Jaune uttered. Ruby had pulled her hood up over her head to stifle her laughter, her body shaking when she heard Jaune speak.

"Saphron, dear," Terra attempted to mediate, though a grin tugged at her lips. "Perhaps you are going a little too far."

"This is what he gets for running off to Beacon and scaring me half to death," she answered without remorse. "Look at this one – he liked to pretend he was playing guitar with his-"

Weiss felt a little light headed. Yang rolled off her chair, gasping for breath.

"Terra," Jaune interrupted calmly. "Did Saphron ever tell you about the time she skipped school and thought no one was home but I'd come home sick and I walked in on her with-"

"Jaune!" his sister screamed, lunging across the couch. He had never been particularly agile, yet he sprung up off the seat and away as easy as breathing. Saphron scrambled after him.

"Don't you dare," she warned him.

"Oh?" Terra pondered aloud. "Now you've got me all kinds of curious, brother-in-law. Do tell?"

"Okay, no more photos!" Saphron snatched the album and slammed it shut.

"Aww, no fair," Yang complained.

"You had a very interesting childhood," Ren said, amused.

"If you say one more word about that," Saphron threatened. "I – I'll do something really, really – er, bad?"

"Like you haven't already?" Jaune pointed at Yang, still on the floor. "I'm never going to hear the end of this, you realise that, right? And – and why do you even have that thing, anyway? Does mum know you have it?"

"Are you kidding me? She wouldn't part with this one for anything," Saphron pat the leather cover lovingly. "But I have my ways."

"Now that we've scarred Jaune for life, what do you guys want to do?" Blake asked the room at large.

In the end, they spent the afternoon and evening watching movies. Saphron had quite the collection, everything from horror to chick flicks. There weren't enough beds for everyone, seeing as they only had two guest bedrooms, so it was decided that Maria and Qrow would take them, while the rest bunked in the lounge.

It may not have been the mattress as soft as a cloud that Weiss wished for, but she wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.

After a light breakfast the next morning, they made their move.

They received the same cold response Team JNPR did, made even worse when the commander on base got into it with Maria, the two older women bickering through the fence. They were willing to escort Weiss back to Atlas – but no one else, and they weren't willing to compromise. All the talk about Atlas being the greatest kingdom already had her back up, but when Cordovin insinuated less than nice things about Blake because of her heritage, Weiss was fuming. She wasn't the only one – Yang looked ready to storm the base on her own, eyes a furious red.

Then things went from bad to worse.

They should have known. Their own reaction to Ozpin's secrets had been bad enough. Finding out how futile their struggle was, just how small they were in the grand scheme of things. But while that had been upsetting, they all still had each other. They hadn't lost a partner, a teammate – not like JNPR had. Pyrrha had been their friend, too. But to Jaune, to Ren and Nora, she was something more.

Family.

There was a part of her, ever since that day deep inside that whispered, if only you'd been better, if only you'd be faster. She did her best to ignore it.

Jaune's anger was explosive.

For a moment, Weiss thought he would attack Oscar. She had tried to get between them but his eyes had pinned her to the spot. The usual warmth absent, replaced with seething rage. A look she had only ever seen on his face once before – when he had looked upon Cinder Fall, and had wished death upon her as he charged with his sword drawn.

"Jaune!" Ruby said sharply, and that broke whatever spell lay upon her and prompted Weiss into action.

His arm felt like coiled steel as she grabbed him, halting his advance. For a moment, she thought he would shake her off, even turn his ire upon her. Instead he remained still, glaring at Oscar.

"Weiss," he uttered, jaw clenched.

"Jaune, please," she said softly. "You're scaring him."

Oscar looked frightened but oddly resigned, as if he expected it. Not surprising, as Qrow had acted much the same.

"He-" he began but she cut him off, squeezing his arm.

"—is Oscar, not Ozpin."

There was a beat of silence, the tension thick in the air. Ruby had taken a step forward but had stopped, hand outstretched. She held her breath, felt his arm tremble beneath her hand. And then he turned to look at her, all that intensity upon her and her alone. Her heart thudded rapidly, blood roaring in her ears.

"You believe that?"

She didn't even have to think about it. "I do."

He stared her straight in the eye and she met him, refusing to look away. She accepted the rage and anger, the pain and hurt, and returned it in equal measure with reassurance and understanding. She wasn't sure how long they stood there like that, just looking at each other – but finally, she felt the tension leech out of his muscles, his shoulders slouching as the anger slowly drained away. Not completely. Weiss doubted it would ever fade, not entirely. But enough that he could think rationally.

Ozpin deserved his scorn, Weiss wouldn't argue that. But not Oscar. He was an innocent.

"I want to be alone," he muttered.

And then he was gone, the front door slamming in his wake. His warmth lingered on her hand as dread coiled in her stomach.

"If you'll excuse us," Ren said curtly. "We have much to think about."

His anger wasn't as volatile. It was ice cold, like the barren tundra of Solitas. The fact that they could tell he was angry spoke volumes, as he was easily the most stoic person in their group. Nora followed him up the stairs, her boots thumping loudly as she stomped. There was no mistake about how she tended to vent any agitation. Weiss just hoped Saphron's home wasn't in any danger.

Qrow trudged off to the backyard without a word.

"That went well," Yang said sarcastically.

Blake's ears were flat against her head as she stared sadly at the door Jaune had slammed. "I can't blame him."

Yang sighed. "I didn't mean – I get it, this whole thing is a mess. I wasn't blaming him for losing it. I-" she paused, flexing her mechanical hand. "I would be a massive hypocrite if I did."

Ruby didn't look nearly as surprised as the rest of them. Sometimes it was easy to forget, but while Weiss had been taken back to Atlas, while Yang lingered on Patch and Blake fled to Menagerie, their leader had spent the better part of a year on the road with Jaune and his team. A bond had formed between them, something separate and unknowable to the rest of Team RWBY. Not grounded in their time at Beacon together, but forged in the hardships they faced as they traveled across two continents.

It almost looked like Ruby had been expecting something like this to happen.

"Ruby," Weiss called to get her attention. "Are you okay?"

After a moment, she nodded. She did a good job of hiding it but not good enough. Weiss could tell she was upset. "I just don't want us to fight," she said softly. "Not with each other."

"He'll calm down," Yang squeezed her sister's shoulder. "It might take awhile but it was just a bit of a shock. To all of us."

"Wait," Blake said, looking around. "Where's Oscar?"

As if things weren't complicated enough. They searched the house but found no signs of him, the young boy having slipped away unnoticed. It was just another thing that had gone wrong.

They split up to cover as much ground as possible. They were utterly unfamiliar with the city. Not only that, where would an upset teenager even run off to in such a place? Weiss couldn't help but wonder if this is how Winter felt whenever she would storm off when they were younger, when she would bury herself in some forgotten corner of the estate and fume.

An hour passed by with little to show for it, other than a grudging appreciation of how big Argus was. Any other time, it may have impressed her. Now it just got on her nerves.

Weary and cold, she sat on a nearby bench. Blowing in her hands, she glanced around at her surroundings, trying to figure out just where her legs had taken her. She was in some type of small park area, well maintained and flourishing with greenery, even covered in snow as it was. Stone pillars supporting a wooden railing ringed the enclosure, covered in vines that thrived and bloomed. Lamp posts kept everything well illuminated, particularly the center piece – a grand sculpture, several meters tall—

"Oh," she whispered in shock.

Weiss felt her breath catch, her eyes burn as she stood. Pyrrha Nikos stood before her, resplendent in her glory. Every inch was lovingly carved, from her iconic shield to her intricate uniform, the detail breathtaking.

And standing in front of her, motionless...

"Jaune?"

At first he didn't react, content to stare at his partner, drinking her in. Then he turned her way, eyes sad as he regarded her.

"Hey Weiss."

She approached him, laying a hand on his arm.

"Jaune," she said softly. "Are you okay?"

Mist escaped his parted lips as he sighed, grasping her hand and cradling it between his own. His smile was pained but genuine, his eyes shining.

"I will be," he answered. He turned back to the statue but did not release his hold on her hand, and she followed suit, taking in her dear departed friend with hungry eyes. At the base lay a bouquet of red lilies, their vibrant red a mirror to that of Pyrrha's luscious hair in life. They were beautiful.

"Did you bring these?" Weiss asked as she knelt, running a finger across the petals. "They are lovely."

"No, it wasn't me," he admitted after a moment. "There was a woman here."

Weiss looked up at him. "A woman?"

He hesitated. "She – I think it was Pyrrha's mother."

Weiss blinked. "What?"

"She never said as much," he continued with a forlorn smile. "But she had the same hair and eyes. They even sounded alike. We... spoke a little."

Weiss stood and embraced him, much to his surprise.

"Weiss?"

"She was the best of us," Weiss said firmly.

"What?"

"Pyrrha," Weiss elaborated. "She was the best of us."

"She was," he replied with love. "She is."

Something dark broke free inside of her in that moment and Weiss felt the tears flood her eyes, an unstoppable tide. They rolled down her cheeks hotly, scalding against her cold skin. The tears she hadn't allowed herself to cry in a very long time, finally free.

"Hey, hey," Jaune said in a panic. "Don't cry. Weiss, please don't cry."

She tried to reign it in but it was futile, her shoulders shaking as she attempted to stifle a sob. "I'm sorry, I just – I can't. I miss her so much."

Jaune sniffed. "Hey, come on. Now you're going to make me cry."

A broken laugh escaped her lips as she shuddered. "I'm sorry I couldn't get to her. I tried! I tried so hard but I-"

"Hey," he cut across her sharply, pushing her back to hold her at arms length. "Don't you dare, you hear me? None of what happened is your fault. I don't want to hear it."

"But-"

"No buts! Do you blame Ruby for not getting there in time?"

"Of course not," she said, indignant.

"Then you shouldn't be blaming yourself," he said sternly. "Her semblance is all about speed and even she didn't arrive in time. There was no way we any of us could have reached her in time."

Weiss wiped at her cheeks.

Jaune sighed. "Pyrrha, she – I think she knew she wasn't going to win, that she might not come out alive. But she also knew she was the only one that could try. She understood that she had a responsibility to try. Because she might not have graduated, she may only have been a student still – but she was a huntress. More of a huntress than most I've seen. And a huntress would understand that there really wasn't a choice to make."

Weiss stared.

"When did you get so eloquent?"

He laughed, a tear escaping. "It wasn't all me. Her mother said something similar."

He drew her back in until they were flush together, one of his hands cradling the back of her head. She was about to crack a joke, say something silly, anything to break through the seriousness and inject some levity when heat suffused her entire being, a gasp escaping her.

Aura flooded into her system.

"Jaune?" she questioned.

The weight of their conversation lifted and warmth settled upon her, energy igniting deep within. It felt like she was floating, that nothing could ever weigh her down again, her tears drying as her heart felt close to bursting with joy. The hairs on her arms, on her neck, stood on end.

It was electric. It was everything she had wanted, and not enough.

"There are times when I wonder – if I was on that tower with her, could I have made a difference?" Weiss shuddered as his semblance seeped down into her as deep as it could, setting her on fire. "If I had this semblance, would she have defeated Cinder? Or... could I have healed her, when she fell?" He shrugged with her still in his arms, and the mere sensation of his arms moving against her, her clothes brushing over her skin sent her into rapture. "But... even then, I don't think—Weiss?"

"Hnnnggg," she groaned through clenched teeth.

"Weiss, what's wrong?"

He was about to cancel his semblance when she tightened her hold. "Don't you-hngg-dare!"

"Weiss?"

"More," she panted, face flushed. She felt so good – everything felt so good. Breathing felt good, his scent making her dizzy. Touching felt good, hypersensitive where their bodies met. The sight of him was majestic. Her thighs trembled as they clamped together. "Give me more."

"Uh—are you sure?"

Her entire body quaked. "I'm sure!"

She was almost there. She could feel it building, that feeling she had been chasing. Broiling inside her, pulsing. Nothing was going to stop her now. No damn Grimm would steal this moment from her, and no pesky—

"Jaune?" Nora called.

Weiss almost screamed when his semblance fell, biting her lip to keep it contained. Instead, a muffled moan was swallowed with a choke. So close! She was so damn close!

"Why does this keep happening?" she sobbed into his shoulder.

"What are you-" Nora continued, before stopping abruptly.

"Oh," Ren muttered.

"This isn't what it-" Jaune began but they weren't looking at them, but at Pyrrha. "Uh, oh. Right."

Weiss sagged, boneless. Only his arms kept her from hitting the snow dusted ground.

AN: Well, this chapter ended up being a lot more serious than I was aiming for but I kind of like it? And I think I was able to keep enough of the comedy in there. I honestly just let myself be guided with what felt right and this was the result. The Jaune and Weiss conversation was a lot like the one they have in one of my other stories, but different enough, I think. Anyway, I finally watched the last two volumes and had a bout of inspiration and wrote this over a week. I hope it was enjoyable.

Weiss finally got a taste – but not nearly enough.

Time for some goofy Atlas shenanigans.
