Terra choked on the smell of fish. She was standing just out of visible range of the East Empire Company Warehouse. She had dressed for the occasion, revenge. She would kill the man who had caused the family trouble. Yes, there had been wrong in what happened to him, but if Sithis abides the death of someone there is no escape, his son would have died no matter who had done it, and it had been her luck that she had taken his life, at least she had made sure he didn't suffer. This was never taken into account and that annoyed her, it was difficult to make death clean and quick. Under appreciated she was now feeling a guilty pleasure in wiping out this cursed family herself that she couldn't explain. She took slow, deliberate steps as she would not alert him till the end.

Maro was standing near the entrance to his company. He was actually standing more towards the shadows smoking a pipe.

The sounds of the waves hitting the dock allowed for Terra to move in close without him noticing. She then stood in the light before him and waited for him to notice her. She was decked out in full Brotherhood armor. The black of the outfit clashed with the light that shown over her.

"You…" Maro was startled as he stared at her unsure.

"Not a ghost, Maro," Terra whispered. "Though I should have been with the nightmare you caused my guild."

Maro took a step back and drew his sword, "You deserve nothing less than DEATH!" He came running at her.

Terra timed it carefully, removing her mask and crying out as the sword cut in the same place that the student with daggers had struck. She held the wound closed but let it flow with blood. She crumpled closer to the shadows, curling up into a slight ball as if she was a victim.

As soon as the town guards got there they saw a man attacking a woman who was now bleeding. The guards went for Maro shouting insults about attacking the innocent. While Maro attempted to explain himself Terra took that moment and stuck a killing blow to him. The guards didn't even blink when this happened. They had just assumed that she had defended herself and they left the body there.

Terra noted the East Empire Company and grinned wickedly. She would come back maybe and finish this group off, but now she had to get ready to assassinate an Emperor.

The ship, Katariah, was set in the water. It had been parked in a manner to prevent anyone from getting on and off with easy. Considering the Penitus Oculatus assumed the Dark Brotherhood exterminated there was very few of them on board.

Terra was actually frustrated about this as she had made it a little adventure to wipe this group out. She would just have to make this a little hobby out of the way of her duties. Thankfully she had gotten use to sneaking around people's places when she was part of the infamous thieve's guild and the boat held no obstacles for her.

With the captain's key in hand Terra was surprised as she opened the door. The Emperor was now sitting there waiting. She shifted uneasy as she was not sure what to expect from this man. She hadn't been able to study him like her other targets so the fact that he was expecting her was terrifying.

"My Dear, I have been waiting for you," the Emperor's voice was gentle. "I had received a vision of you. You are to be the one who puts me in the history books not because of my greatness but because of my death. You are my destiny and I am thankful to be in knowledge of this as to be honest to have not known would have made me fearful. I am just thankful of such a release. You are able to provide me with a quick death."

Terra listened as he spoke.

"Though I have not made a contract with your Mother, I do wish to make a request," the Emperor now stood up out of his chair and came towards Terra. "I make this as a request from a man to an honorable person such as you, could you kill the person who made this contract with you? I make such a request as I believe that this person is malevolent and would destroy the Empire just for their own glory. As an exchange, the items in this room should be enough to compensate for the troubles of doing what was requested."

Terra nodded slowly and even with a mask on she could see that the Emperor understood that the smile that touched her eyes was her way of agreeing to the arrangement. So with quick and silent motion Terra made the man's death as quick as possible. He didn't even cry out as she struck him, not that anyone would have heard him, slowly as he fell she slowed him to the ground and closed his eyes and crossed his hands over his chest. She was an assassin but that didn't mean she didn't have respect for those who deserved it. She ransacked the room to make it look as if he had fought against her and took all the items of value.

When she left, she relocked the door so that nothing would disturb his body.

The ride back to Whiterun was a exhausting one and when she entered the Bannered Mare there was a kind of silence that kept her on her toes even in exhaustion.

Amaund was sitting in his room and when he saw Terra a wickedly evil smile spread across his face. He began babbling about how her reward was in Volunruud. She will simply need to return to the place they met and her reward will be waiting there. It was a precaution of not being a target of robbery.

Terra got up to leave but turned back to him, "I unfortunately still have unfinished business with you…"

Amaund stared at her in a drunken stupor, "What?"

With a single swipe Terra slit his throat, through the grabbled and bubbling sounds of blood coming from him mouth, he managed, "But…we had a deal…" To make it look like his fear, she pick pocketed him of all that was on him.

Terra walked out the front door of the Bannered Mare with not even a worry that someone would come for her.
