Lincoln woke up slowly; he noticed Lily wasn't in bed; he sat up before realizing that she must have gotten up earlier. Suddenly everything from last night came flooding back, from him and Ronnie Anne meeting the Wizard to saving Flip from being robbed. For a moment, Lincoln wondered if any of that was a dream. Until he heard a knock at his door.
"Lincoln, dude, wake up." Called Ronnie Anne.
Opening the door, he was greeted by an excited Ronnie Anne.
"what's up?"
"hurry lame-o, you gotta see it. We're on TV."
"really?"
The pair headed downstairs to see everyone sitting in front of the TV, already dressed and ready for the day. Wanting to keep his distance from Luna, he sat on the bottom steps with Ronnie Anne; on TV was Flip outside his store being interviewed by Katherine Mulligan.
"are they caped wonders, or are they, crusaders? Hello, I'm Katherine Mulligan standing outside of Flip's Food & Fuel with the owner Phillip Phillipini. To hear his fantastic tale of flying people saving him."
"Hey, uh, just call me Flip, Kathy
"it's Katherine, now. "Flip" in your own words, tell us of your amazing encounter."
"Well, last night, old Flip was locking up for the night when these three bozos came in demanding money." "now Flip wasn't going down without a fight, and I had two of them on the ropes."
'oh, please.' Thought Ronnie Anne.
"but the third one got the best of me. The next thing I knew, I was tied up, and those jerks were robbing me, then this guy and girl walked in dressed like weirdos."
'weirdos!?' thought Lincoln
'knew we should've let them rob him,' thought Ronnie Anne.
"anyway, one tried to shoot the guy, but the bullets just bounced off of him, then the other shot the girl in the chest; talk about a low blow, huh, Kathy."
"it's Katherine; then what happened?"
"well, after those robbers got tossed through my window, the girl freed me while the guy tied them up with a pipe, then they flew off, but old Flip managed to get a picture, see."
The screen then turns to the picture of Lincoln and Ronnie Anne in their hero form that Flip took with his Flip phone; though it wasn't the best quality, it was good enough, causing everyone who saw it to gasp.
"did you manage to get a name?"
"uh, yeah, I think the guy calls himself Shazam."
"and the female?"
"I didn't get her name, but you can just call her Lady Shazam."
'really, that's what people are gonna start calling me?' thought Ronnie Anne.
"is there anything you'd like to say to your saviors?"
"yeah, you guys still owe me a new window, and come on down and have yourself a Flippee."
"Okay, and with that, back to you guys in the station."
"hey, one more thing Kathy."
"for the last time, it's!"
The TV was then shut off by Lynn Sr., who was still processing this with the rest of his family.
"Well gang, what do you think?"
"I find this whole thing to be preposterous, father. There is no such thing as superheroes outside of comic books." Argued Lisa.
"sweetie, you used to say the same thing about dragons; now we have a pet dragon that lives in Scotland." Replied Rita.
"touche, mother."
"Lincoln, son, you're the expert on superheroes; what do you think." Asked Lynn Sr.
Just as Lincoln was about to speak, he was cut off by Lori, much to his annoyance, and Ronnie Anne.
"dad, as much as I would love to hear Lincoln babble about nonsense, we literally don't have time." She said sarcastically
"yeah, we need to get breakfast and then go to Tall Timber's Park for my pageant, plus he's not coming." Said Lola.
"I gotta see how my fish friends are doing." Said Lana.
"Sorry, sweetie, I figured you'd want to stay home after everything that happened yesterday." Apologized Rita.
"it's okay, mom. I actually have plans."
"yeah, since Bobby and I won't be able to return home until the evening, Lincoln was going to film me while I try out some new skate moves." Said Ronnie Anne.
"provided that I'm not grounded for fighting yesterday."
"no, sweetie, have a good day."
As everyone began leaving, Lynn Sr. secretly told Lincoln that he had made him two breakfast burritos to make up for yesterday. And that he made sure that no one messed with them. After that, Bobby approached Lincoln, thanking him for protecting his sister yesterday before being rushed out the door by Lori, who then got a glare from Ronnie Anne.
"sorry, Lincoln, but my pageant career is important, and I can't have any negative vibes. Oh, and do you mind getting the door." Said Lola being sarcastic while leaving.
"no problem, Lols; by the way, do tell Lindsay Sweetwater; I said congrats." He said, returning her sarcasm.
"will do…. Wait, what!?" she said before Lincoln slammed the door in her face and locked it.
Though angered, Lola stormed to Vanzilla, ready to go, sitting in the back with both Bobby and Lori before the van drove off. Turning back to Ronnie Anne, she was impressed.
"dude, sick burn."
"Thanks, wanna share one of my burritos. After I get ready?"
"sure."
Back in Vanzilla, they made their way to Lynn's table to pick up a quick breakfast before heading out. Lola was still upset about Lincoln, implying her long-time rival Lindsay Sweetwater would win.
"who does he think he is, saying Lindsay would win!"
"maybe it's because she's won the last 3." Lana pointed out.
"she's just on a lucky streak, but it's gonna end today." Replied Lola.
"not precisely. By my calculations, Lindsay's skills remain the same, while yours have been declining, but I figured out the missing factor." Informed Lisa
"Well, don't just sit there; tell me!" demanded Lola.
"Lincoln."
"what?" said all the other sisters except for Lily, who just had a smug look.
"during this time last year, Lincoln was still your pageant coach, and during that time, he was the one who handled your preparations himself. But since he no longer is, you've had to deal with it yourself, leaving you little time to update your acts.
Lola scoffed at the idea that she needed Lincoln's help.
"I think you need to check your math, sis; I don't need that traitor to win."
The rest of the sisters, minus Lily, agreed too, causing Rita and Lynn Sr. to sigh in disappointment. At the same time, Bobby shook his head, something Lori noticed.
"boo-boo bear?" she said, getting no response.
Back with Lincoln and Ronnie Anne, they wondered what they should do now. After eating and playing some video games. Ronnie Anne then realized what they should be doing with their time.
"dude, what are we doing? We've got powers. We should be practicing with them, making sure we're not like those supers from the show "The Guys.""
"you watch that show!?"
"yeah, Sid and I watch it in our hangout with Sergio; that show is gory for a superhero show. I think this one hero is a parody of Ace Savvy; he's a real monster."
"Okay, I heard enough."
"my point is we should be practicing."
"but where."
"how about the dump?"
Lincoln agreed but knew they needed a safe place to transform; Ronnie Anne suggested changing in the backyard. With their plan set, the two went to the back; after Lincoln made sure everything was locked up, they spoke the word.
Shazam!
They were back in their powered-up forms in a flash, flying high up so no one could see them. Taking a moment, the two adjusted before flying off towards the dump, moving at high speed admiring the world from above.
"The view is amazing from up here." Said Lincoln
'I'll say,' thought Ronnie Anne as she looked at Lincoln in a love-struck daze.
Ronnie Anne realized what she was doing as she pulled her hood over her head to hide her blushing.
'what's wrong with me? Why am I getting so mushy?' she thought.
Finally, the two made it to the dump before landing; they didn't have to worry about anyone being there since the place was closed on the weekends.
"Okay, so what should we do first?"
"let's test our strength by stacking cars." Ronnie Anne suggested.
"Okay, I'll go first."
Lifting one car with one hand, Lincoln readied himself as Ronnie Anne began stacking cars. In a matter of moments, Lincoln was holding up a stack of 20 cars; the problem was he was not being pushed to his limit. Both he and Ronnie Anne noticed that this was not forcing him to his limit.
"I'm not breaking a sweat,"
"well, Lame-o, we do have the strength of a demigod and the stamina of a titan."
"still, it is hard to see what we need to improve on."
"wait, we shoot lightning; why not practice on that."
"Okay, sure."
For the next few hours, the pair worked on mastering their electrokinesis, from shooting from each individual finger to blasting with their fists. Learning how to increase the intensity of their blasts like a dial inside their minds to control it. To create constructs like cages out of electricity. By the afternoon, both had a firm grasp on this ability.
"Alright, now we know how to hold back." Said Ronnie Anne.
"and how to cut loose."
Feeling they had a better grip on their powers, the two went back into the air for the time being. As they flew, out of the corner of Lincoln's eye, he started checking out Ronnie Anne again; despite seeing her as a friend, Lincoln couldn't help but admit how beautiful she was. Seeing her pretty features mature into what it is now was just a wow for him. Lincoln always thought Ronnie Anne was cute; even when she used to bully him, he still had a slight crush on her. Unknown to Lincoln, Ronnie Anne noticed that he was checking her out, and she was flattered; it felt like he was looking at her the same way her brother looks at his sister. Ronnie Anne still harbored a crush on Lincoln even after he told her he was now dating Stella; though she still liked him, she was happy for him. Which only angered Ronnie Anne more when she found out Stella dumped him over a lie. Despite Sid telling her that this was her opportunity to have Lincoln, Ronnie Anne opted to be the friend he needed instead of being his rebound. However, despite being flattered, Ronnie Anne saw this as an opportunity to mess with him, and she was gonna take it.
"Hey, Linc, tell me something."
"sure, what's up, Ronnie?"
"do you like what you see?" she flirted
"what do you mean?"
"do you think I'm sexy like this?" She teased, striking a sexy pose.
"I…. I…. well yes, but…. you've always been pretty…. I don't mean I'm checking you out like a creep…. I just." Stammered Lincoln.
"so we established you think I'm sexy, now tell me which part you like the most, the front." Teased Ronnie Anne perking out her chest before swaying it, making Lincoln blush. "Or the back?" she teased, turning around and pulling aside her cape to show off her butt, wiggling it, making him blush more as he watched it jiggle in her skin-tight suit.
"uh Ronnie, I'm not comfortable answering that."
"don't be shy, Lame-o; which is it, my big bouncy boobs or my big jiggly butt?" she flirted, moving in close
"I….I…."
"wait, I shouldn't be asking you that question."
'thank you,' he thought
"not until I take off my costume."
"What!"
"what's wrong, Linky? You don't want to see my sexy naked body and pick which one is your favorite." flirted Ronnie Anne as she was seemingly about to undress.
"Ronnie Anne, are you crazy!?" Panicked Lincoln.
Ronnie Anne could no longer contain her laughter as she began laughing to the point tears were coming out. Lincoln realized that Ronnie Anne was messing with him as his face was less red, but he was still blushing.
"really, Ronnie!" he said in an exasperated tone.
"come on, lame-o, you can't expect me to not mess with you, especially since you were checking me out."
Lincoln felt embarrassed and annoyed, ashamed that Ronnie Anne saw him checking her out and irritated that she would play such a trick on him. Then remember that she's a prankster like Luan and can be just as sadistic as her when she wants to be.
"Ronnie…. You…. Look Out!"
Suddenly Lincoln pulled her into an embrace before flying out of the way on an oncoming plane. As the aircraft passed, Lincoln noticed words on its side reading "Sivana Air."
"That was close; you okay, Ronnie…. Ronnie Anne?"
Ronnie Anne couldn't say anything; she was caught up in the feeling of being hugged by Lincoln. Ronnie Anne wasn't much of a hugger and barely hugged anyone unless she was in the mood, but the way Lincoln was holding her, she never wanted it to stop. His holding her in a protective embrace aroused something inside her as she felt her chest pressed against him and her head resting under his chin.
"Ronnie Anne, you in there?"
"oh yeah, I'm fine," she said, breaking the embrace.
An awkward silence started between the two; however, it didn't last long when they suddenly heard an explosion.
"what the hell was that?" said Lincoln.
The two looked over, noticing that it came from the plane that had just passed as one of its engines was smoking and was starting to dive.
"That plane is going down." Said Ronnie Anne.
The two flew after the plane catching up in seconds; they could see the passengers panicking through the windows. As Lincoln checked the front, he saw no pilot or co-pilot concluding the plane was automated. Landing on top, Lincoln looked outward, wondering where the plane would land at this rate. Suddenly Lincoln's mind went into a trance as several equations ran through his head, telling him what he needed to know. In a flash, Lincoln knew precisely where the plane would crash, and he was horrified.
"Lincoln, what's wrong!?" Ronnie Anne asked, landing on the plane.
"We have to keep this plane from crashing into Tall Timber park." He warned.
"what? Wait, shouldn't your sister's pageant be over by now!?"
"The pageant is, but they have a picnic/afterparty whenever they do outdoor pageants, and we have 20 mins before this thing literally crashes the party!"
"Okay, you push from the front, and I'll pull from the back."
Flying to the nose of the plane, Lincoln started pushing against it, his hands becoming embedded in the metal as he tried to stop the plane from crashing. In contrast, Ronnie Anne flew to the back of the tail wing, grabbed onto it, and began pulling. The plan seemed to work as the plane's fall slowed, but suddenly, the tail wing Ronnie Anne was pulling on broke off. Sending her flying back while Lincoln continued fighting to save the plane.
"Great, nice going, Santiago!" she said, flying to catch up to Lincoln, who was now pushing with his back.
"Okay new plan, Ronnie; fly ahead and see if you can evacuate the park!"
"what about you!?"
"If I can't stop it, I can at least slow it… Now Go!"
Ronnie Anne took off at high speed to warn everyone of the danger. At Tall Timber Park, Many people congratulated Lindsay Sweetwater on winning the pageant at the party. At the same time, the other contestants sneered at her.
"you're all too kind; it was just hard work." Boasted Lindsay.
Suddenly Ronnie appears in the sky like a bolt of lightning, catching the attention of everyone there.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I am…. Lady Shazam." She called out. 'great, now that name is gonna stick.' She thought. "you need to exit the park quickly; there is an aircraft on a collision course with the park; please leave at a quick and orderly pace and do not panic." Explained Ronnie Anne; however, everyone only stared in disbelief at her flying above them, which pissed her off. "Did you idiots not hear what I just said? A plane is gonna crash into the park; get your shit together and run!" she roared
This caused everyone to scream and run as parents grabbed their children and started running to leave the park as fast as possible. With everyone going, Ronnie Anne was about to fly back to help Lincoln but realized that people were missing.
"where are the Louds and Bobby…. Damn it!" as she flew to look for them.
In another part of the park, the Louds were having a picnic away from the rest of the party. While trying to cheer up Lola, who was saddened for coming in 2nd again.
"cheer up, sis; you'll do better next time." Assured Lana.
"better? I barely held onto 2nd place; my pageant career is falling apart, and it's all Lincoln's fault!"
"Lola. You can't blame your brother when he's not even here," Said Rita, annoyed.
"I fail to see how our male sibling is responsible for your position." Said Lisa.
"he jinxed me when he said Lindsay would win." She said, getting angry. "I bet he's been helping Lindsay just to get back at me."
"wouldn't surprise me." Said Luna.
Lynn Sr. and Rita took another deep breath, annoyed that their daughters had found another excuse to blame Lincoln for something. Leni suddenly looked confused as she noticed that Lori and Bobby were missing.
"Hey, where are Lori and Bobby?"
Away from the group, Lori and Bobby finally talked after not saying a word to each other for hours.
"what's wrong, boo-boo bear? Please tell me."
"you really want to know?"
"yes."
"fine. Babe, you're not being fair to Lincoln."
"what?"
"look, I haven't said anything on this picture thing because I don't feel like it's my place, and I didn't want to take sides. But it isn't about the picture. This is about how Lincoln is being treated by you."
"Bobby, I'm defending my sister; this is Lincoln's fault; he's always causing trouble; the twerp won't even take responsibility." Argued Lori.
"that twerp is your brother too, and just like Luna, he needed you too." scolded Bobby. "babe, ask yourself, do you really think that low of Lincoln."
Lori turned her head, not wanting to look at Bobby, but indicated that she did think that low of her brother.
"if you do, you did a terrible job raising him."
"Bobby!?"
"you're his big sister Lori, the oldest; it's your job to raise him too, and if you can really only see the bad in Lincoln despite all the good he's done. Then you failed him as a sister."
"Bobby, how could you say that? Do you know how hard it is having 10 siblings to look after?"
"no, I don't because I have only one, but she's a blessing. Even if we don't always get along, she's still my blessing, and right now, you're treating one of your blessings as a curse." Scolded Bobby.
"Bobby." Replied a Sad Lori.
Bobby's expression softened as he didn't like being angry with Lori or seeing her sad despite how he felt, he still loved her deeply.
"look, babe, all I'm saying is instead of taking sides, you should've been trying to bring your family back together, not help drive them apart. Maybe the picture is fake, or maybe not; it's not my place to judge. But I do know if this keeps going, all of you will wake up feeling the weight of how badly you've treated Lincoln one day, but the damage will be done, and there will be no way to fix it."
Lori stood there taking in Bobby's words; however, she couldn't fully absorb them due to suddenly hearing her family screaming. Running back to them, they saw in horror that a plane was about to crash into them. With no time to escape, all they could do was hold each other as Bobby and Lori ran for them. Lincoln was still fighting to stop the crash; seeing his family in danger, something suddenly awoke in Lincoln. He started resonating with lightning as he began pushing even harder, slowing the fall. When nothing seemingly happened, Lilly looked up to see a man hovering over them, holding up a plane. Awestruck, she couldn't help but feel something familiar about him; despite the mask and hood, she could see white hair sticking out, and she only knew two people with that.
"Lincoln?"
Lily can see that the man's eyes widen in shock, confirming her suspicions even through the mask. Lily was about to call his name again, but he quickly brought his finger to his lip. Shushing her before the rest of her family opened their eyes, she kept her smile and giggle. As the rest of the Louds opened their eyes, realizing they were okay, they all looked up to see who had saved them. They became amazed upon seeing a man floating above them, holding up a plane.
"Sir, are you and your family okay?" said Lincoln speaking to his dad.
"yes…. Thank you for saving us."
"no problem."
Lincoln began lifting himself and the plane back into the air; as he went high up, the smoking engine started to break apart. Unable to do anything, he watched as the engine was about to fall off. Still, Ronnie Anne appeared to catch it, much to everyone's relief.
"Sorry about that; we're still new at this." Apologized Ronnie Anne as she threw the engine in the air and destroyed it with an electro-blast.
"thank you for saving us." Said Rita.
"no problem." Said, Ronnie Anne
With Ronnie Anne's help, the two leveled out the plane before flying off to a nearby clearing while carrying it. Finding a safe spot, the two set the plane down before Lincoln flew to the door, tearing it off, activating the inflatable slide as he went inside to check on the passengers.
"is everyone okay?" asked Lincoln
The passengers were all okay; some were banged up due to the landing, but no one had life-threatening injuries. All the people were again shocked to see the person who saved them.
'guess that's a yes." He thought. "uh, hello everyone my name is Linc... I mean Shazam, thank you for flying Sivana Air today. We apologize for the bumpy landing; however, please enjoy your stay in Royal Woods." He joked before leaving. As he and Ronnie Anne flew off, they noticed the Louds and Bobby coming to help. Moments later, parametric and police arrived along with Katherine Mulligan and her crew.
"I think we've helped enough, Linc; they've got it from here."
"Yeah, you're right."
"Besides, you haven't answered whether you like my boobs or butt better." She teased.
"Ronnie!" he gritted his teeth
Ronnie Anne started laughing again as she flew off, still teasing Lincoln as he fled after her.
…Hours Later…
After helping the passengers and being interviewed by Katherine Mulligan, the Louds returned home to see Lincoln and Ronnie Anne watching the news. Lincoln walked to his parents, asking.
"Mom, Dad, I saw you guys on the news. Are you okay?"
His sisters said nothing to him except walk past him like he wasn't there, heading upstairs, frustrating Lynn Sr.
"fantastic, not even a near-death experience is enough to wake them up."
"we're okay, sweetie; I'm just gonna put Lily to bed and go to bed myself."
Lilly waved at Lincoln while Rita took her up the stairs before remembering to keep it a secret as she shushed herself. Bobby was outside, still talking with Lori about their relationship.
"Are we still?" asked Lori
"Of course we are; it would take something horrible to make me stop loving you."
"oh, boo-boo bear."
"but please think about what I said."
"Hey bro, ready to go?" asked Ronnie Anne, stepping out.
"sure, I'll call you later, Lori."
"Okay, boo-boo bear."
Hopping into their car, the two were about as Ronnie Anne smiled at Lincoln as he smiled back, both proud of the lives they saved before leaving. Stepping back inside, Lincoln sat back on the couch while Lori went upstairs, stopping on the landing and saying.
"goodnight Lincoln."
Lincoln thought he heard something but brushed it off as he sat back, thinking of his future as a superhero.
End Of Ch' 4
Author's Note
So I added the ecchi scene to test the waters and see if you guys like it and if you think I should go further.
Ronnie Anne's conflicting feelings result from her Shazam form; her crush on Lincoln matures into love. Her tomboy personality and her wanting to be the friend he needs causes her to be confused about her feelings. Overall she's more like Bobby than she wants to admit.
Even though Lori considers what Bobby said, she's still going through with their plan to "expose." So their redemption hasn't started yet.
I made Lily the first sibling due to her being on his side and will keep his secret, but I am considering having Lincoln just tell his parents.
Now that Ronnie Anne is going back to great lake city, she will establish herself as their protector. also, she's not happy being called Lady Shazam, but now's she's stuck with it.
While Bobby doesn't want to take a side, he still has a problem with Lincoln is being treated and is not afraid to express that.
