Terra made her way slowly to the center of the room where the harbinger flame was burning in the center of the tomb. Its blue flame flickering as she neared it. It was almost as if the flame knew her intent and carrend toward her. It seemed to lap at the head as if hungry for the rotting flesh of this dead creature. She was always wary to perform rituals, especially with some of the incidents that she had seen on her travels. It didn't really matter how many times one attempted a ritual, there were always unseen forces that made for unpredictable events.

"Wait, Terra," Farkas spoke softly.

If she hadn't been mesmerized by the flame at the moment she would have missed his call to her. She pulled the head away from the flame. She even moved a few steps away as to make sure she didn't accidently start this fight. She turned her head slightly to look at him over her shoulder, "Is there something wrong, Farkas?"

Farkas didn't answer right away. There were many emotions crossing his face at the moment, but he soon returned to a unreadable, neutral facial expression. "I don't want this to wait, I don't want to be caught up in the battle and lose sight of what is happening. Terra, I need your help on this. It is because of you I am able to do this and fulfill a promise I had made to Kodlak and to myself. You have connected me to a part of myself that I thought I had lost taking on the beast. Terra, you have made it so that I could better myself. My soul will soon be able to rest whether it is day or night and I feel that you should be a part of this fight with me."

Terra said nothing. If she encouraged him she gave him hopes for more and if she discouraged her involvement that would lead him to argue with her and that was not what was needed. She simply nodded at him as she took the head and tossed it into the flame.

They were soon blown back a step or two with the appearance of the large wolf spirit that was now before them. Terra stared at the creature and even with its corporal characteristics she could tell this creature was majestic and fierce. Farkas made no move to attack it. Before them the creature exhumed an air of death and survival. The creature was wanting to continue to exist and hunt till the end of time. To be honest, this creature was far more dangerous than the others. Though Kodlak had made a comment about her beast, to her right now, this beast was the true definition of the werewolf that she had come to remember from legends and lore.

Farkas and the wolf spirit were stuck in a contest of wills. They would watch each other and trying to bait the other into attacking first simply by pacing and facing each other. Even though the creature didn't need to take a breath, it appeared that it was breathing ever so slightly, its fur would shift and move up and down as it kept a distance from Farkas.

Soon Terra realized that the wolf spirit had now noticed her from its peripheral vision. It stiffed at the sight of her. Shifting ever so slowly, it moved its weight and angled its legs. While Farkas was focused on its eyes, she was unsure if he had noticed the weight and direction change in its stance. She rested her hand on hip close to her sword anticipating her needing to grab it as the wolf spirit continued to move near her. It circled slowly so that it move Farkas further from her. This spirit was attempting to put itself between Farkas and her. She was aware of the situation and had wanted Farkas first strike, but if this spirit wanted to make it personal then she would oblige it. In a blink of an eye, the wolf spirit turned and went to snap at Terra, either to remove a limb or remove her altogether from the situation. She had reflexively moved back and as it snapped thin air, she slide the blade across its face and eyes. In the act of this attack the spirit had turned away from Farkas and causing him to become what appeared to be enraged by this and took the large sword out of its scabbard and rushed in to engage the wolf's attention.

Terra raised an eyebrow at him just now arming himself. She watched his hesitate, it was as if he was wondering if he should fight it bare hand style and though that might have been interesting to watch she wasn't sure he would actually be able to grab a corporal creature as it could grab him, but in the end he simply trusted in his blade. This felt right to her, he needed his swords, that was who he was and it only made sense for him to do so. She blocked the snapping jaws that tried to ensnare her. One would have thought this thing would have switched attention as Farkas appeared to be hacking this spirit into two, but this thing didn't take the hint and was still assaulting her instead. Maybe it saw her as the true threat as she had been the one who separated the two of them. Snap, block, snap, slice, this pattern was wearing on her arm and she tried to shift so that she could put a little distance between them, but it seemed to be relentless. This thing was not going to give up on killing her.

In a surprising move, she was forced out of the way and pushed behind a large mass. Farkas must have figured that the wolf was targeting her, no matter the damage he inflicted on its body it was only after one thing and he wasn't going to allow it. Soon she was able to move a little away and began casting heal on him to make sure that he didn't suffer in the slightest. He would visibly shiver as she casted on him, but said nothing as he continued to hack and block through the fight.

Terra was wary as the battle continued on, it was as if they were just exchanging their blows back and forth. They mirrored each other perfectly and once it was established that Farkas was the only one who would be fighting in the forefront, the wolf struggled just to break his defense. She attempted to strike at it several time and had managed a few good hits, but she would soon be forced behind him again. So she started casting floor magic traps so that every time he pushed the creature to take a step it would be hit with a spell. This only managed to earn a chuckle from Farkas as he would shake his head between strikes.

When the wolf spirit finally succumbed to the injuries sustained in the fight it melted away from existence and they stood in a very empty room. It was anticlimactic for Terra, no howl of defeat or whimper as it had lost its ability to be in this reality. Just silence. Nothing more.

Farkas collapsed to his knees and bowed before the flames in the middle of the room. He whispered something under his breath as he knelt there. He looked as if a large weight had been lifted and he made some effort to get up.

Terra walked over to him and held out her hand.

"Thank you…" Farkas whispered it as he closed his eyes as she pulled him up and he soon took a very deep breath. "I think it is time that we returned to our room here and take a long rest. My soul calls for true rest now."
