"Hey, Hermione!" she looked up at Ron, coming down the stairs of the boys dormitories. "What?" she asked, irritated that he was stopping her from reading the very engaging book called, "The Middle Ages: What were Muggles So Disgusted By?"
"I wanted to ask you something, at least while Harry is asleep." Ron said, sitting very close to the fire, as if in a trance by the heat hitting him in the face. "Whaddaya think about me?"
Hermione blushed. Was he asking her this because…? "You are okay Ron. What in the world is bothering you?"
"Well, I dunno, maybe I wanted to know something…" He blushed, and this made Hermione very nervous.
" Oh, what do you want to know? Spit it out, its no use saying something and taking it back! You always do this!" Hermione wanted him to ask her, but she didn't think he'd do it, out of shyness.
"What do you mean, I always do this?" Ron spat, red now.
"Well, you always hide your true feelings of yourself from me. I hate it." Hermione was blushing very hard now.
"Well, you know what? Maybe its because you don't understand how I feel!" Ron stomped out of the Gryffindor common room, back to the boy's dormitory.
The next day, out in the field, catching the Screwts, Harry looked at Hermione. She was glaring steadily at Ron. He looked at Ron. He was steadily glaring at the ground, ears red, which was always a danger sign. Harry sighed.
This continued for three days. Every day, Hermione and Ron would always get mad at each other, Hermione would say, "Oh, are you hiding that from me too?" and Ron would always retort, "You never will understand how I feel!"
Finally, one day, Harry couldn't take it anymore. "You idiots are annoying the hell out of me!" he slammed his hand into the potion he was making, causing his hand to start disintegrating. "May we escort Harry to the nurse?" Hermione asked Professor Snape.
"Who do you think would be that stupid? Of course you are not going! You are to stay here!" Snape said, shaking due to the fact he had just tried out Draco's potion, who must not have added the right ingredient.
"Ron, stick your hand into your potion." Hermione whispered.
"Wha-?"
"Just do it!" she hissed.
So Ron and Hermione stuck their hands inside the potion cauldrons. "OW!" screamed Ron, after pulling his hand out of the cauldron.
Both their hands were smoking. Snape unwillingly let them go to the nurse in disgust, but as soon as they got out of the classroom, Hermione said "FIXACETED!" and the burning stopped.
Then, they crept into a nearby classroom and Ron asked "Where's Harry?"
Hermione sighed. "Oh, off fighting Voldemort somewhere."
"Hu-?" Hermione yelled at Ron, "Now ask me out, you ass!" she pushed him.
"Bloody hell!" Ron stared stupidly at Hermione. "That's what you were gonna do the other day, just admit it!"
When Harry got back from his chat with Bellatrix, he found out that all of a sudden, Ron and Hermione were going out. Finally! He thought, exhausted, because he had managed to kill Bellatrix and was in no mood to put up with the twos constant bickering.
