Hello again, it's been awhile since I've updated and I'm sorry for that. Been busy and working on building a PC at the moment, still it's not ready yet and hopefully I'll get it ready soon. Until that happens I still got time to work on this chapter. Enjoy it.

"The last 72 hours have been long and tough, at least we've made it to last abandoned town and this town is right on the front line. It's about 3 miles from where we are at the moment, but I can feel the end is in sight for me to return back to my regiment and join them for combat later on, however their is a new problem. My CO contacted 48 hours ago alerting me that the enemy is hunting for me and Kursed. This is not a good sign at all and they know that I'm still alive and they'll try and capture me at any cost so that I don't rejoin my team that's waiting for me at the line. If the enemy attack on our lines is true, then all hell is going to break loose. They're going to want as much blood as possible if the enemy breaks the line from our advance to the capital of Kew. Venom now has it's troops on the planet now. I know that this means more trouble that will occur later on. We'll know soon enough."

March 16, 10:00 hrs

Sgt. Fox McCloud (MIA)

3 miles from friendly lines 5th abandoned town, Kew

The last three days were just pretty normal for Fox. Walking to the third town wasn't a problem at all, he and Kursed arrived before the sun set and the next day arrived to the fourth town two hours ahead of schedule and yesterday they arrived here at the last town with 90 minutes to spare.

It may have been a long walk to get back to the line, but he's close now to reaching the line to make it back safely. They still don't know of the attack that is today, and it's going to be tough.

They needed to move fast to reach the line before the attack starts and the town that they are in is on the front lines which means that the enemy is going to likely use the buildings for their own advantage. No time to eat breakfast at all, they have to move now or else it'll be nightmare to reach the line.

Fox loading a mag to the HBRa3 and got ready for this push that he and Kursed are about to do. With no time to waste he tells her that they're moving towards the line now.

45 minutes later

Frontlines

Fox inside a house with Kursed as they see enemy forces pushing towards the allied front to try and attack them. However they're met with a hail of fire power coming back from the allies as they try to push into the line.

Kew and Venom started to call in for Landmaster tanks and this is what Fox didn't want to see at all. He sees the hostiles coming into the town as well which means that he has to take some of them on or else he and Kursed will be captured or dead. With no other choice Fox will engage hostiles that try to coming into the building he and the bounty hunter are, if they do.

Fox notices at the line that he sees friendlies on the line and sees the enemy trying to push into the line to attack. He then picks up a communication on his comms and listens in on it. "Echo 1-1 this is Command. Be advised, hostiles are sending in another wave right towards you on that abandoned town. Another battalion of Armor is heading towards you as well. Stay alert. Out."

More enemy forces are coming right towards them. He needed to get out of the area now, or he and Kursed will be overrun by hostiles. They both moved to the second floor of the house that they are in and saw hostiles passing by which means that they still don't know where they are.

He hears the battling and looks out from one of the windows and see the hostiles that are already dead on the ground and the others that are firing their weapons at the operatives. Kursed was looking from another room window and can see the battle and she was terrified at what she was seeing. She's never seen what the operatives weapons this close before and when the weapons fire they don't leave a trace at all.

Just then Fox got a call from his CO. "Sergeant, there's a Landmaster tank looking at you right now! GET OUT OF THERE NOW!" Fox saw the Landmaster tank looking right at him and he ran straight to the next room and noticed Kursed looking out the window and he didn't have a choice at all. He grabbed her and ram himself through the glass as the Landmaster tank fired it's shot on the house that they were in and the building exploded with debris flying everywhere.

Both foxes landed on the ground and rolled about twenty feet away from the building. Kursed got up and shook the ringing from her ears and got angry at what Fox did. She looked for him and saw him a few inches away from her laying on his side his back towards her and she immediately walked up to him. She was getting ready to yell at him but noticed something wasn't right at all. He wasn't getting up. She turned him onto his back and saw something that made her go from angry to panic. Fox has a piece of sheet metal impaled through his body armor from the lower left stomach and his eyes are closed and he must have taken the worst of the blast which left him unconscious. She saw blood on his body armor and on the snowy ground.

She didn't know what to do and got very scared and tried to wake him up but right now he wasn't waking up. She kept on calling his name, doing anything to try and get him to wake up. She didn't even realize is that Kew and Venom fighters are looking at her and she's surrounded by all of them aiming their weapons at her. She noticed and with tears in her eyes waited for what was about to happen.

Just then enemy contacts began to get shot at from the line and Kursed looked towards that direction and noticed a huge regiment of friendlies pushing up towards them. What she saw, she couldn't describe at all. The soldiers she saw where not anything that she's seen at all. She's seen the firearms that they use already and those weapons don't are much more dangerous then the weapons she's used so far. She then saw three tanks that she's never seen at all. Three Abram Tanks pushed up with the Regiment taking out enemy tanks and hostiles.

Enemy forces began to retreat since they couldn't push up at all. The regiment reached both foxes and Kursed looked down and saw Fox eyes opening up. She started to speak to him, but she doesn't realize is that Fox is in heavy shock and he can't hear her right now. She noticed two operatives coming towards her and Fox and one shouted out. "Fox!" Fox somehow looked to his left and saw it was Roach but couldn't say anything in his current condition right now. "Sergeant!" Roach shouted out again. He and Jason arrived to check on him and saw a piece of sheet metal on his lower left stomach that has wounded him very badly and Roach contacted for assistance. "Command, Alpha 5 is down. I need immediate medevac on my location." Medical extraction is now inbound.

Kursed watched as both operatives got to work on treating Fox's wound. She noticed that they're wearing the same uniform as Fox and the same type of gear and equipment. She see their firearms as well, Roach using an M13 5.56 assault rifle with a Tempus Cyclone barrel and ACOG sight while Jason used a Barrett REC7 5.56 assault rifle Holographic. All they could do right now is to put pressure and try to stop the bleeding right now. Less than five minutes later a chopper landed near their position and a medical team came towards them and began to get treat Fox. Roach hit the release on his EXOsuit and then cut began to gently remove Fox's body armor and saw that the sheet metal was lodge in Fox's stomach but he can't remove it at all. The medics addressed it as critical and they needed to get McCloud to a Regimental Hospital to perform surgery. They didn't have the proper equipment for this right now.

Without hesitation the medical team got a stretch from the chopper and Roach began to tell Jason what they needed to do. Both of them lifted Fox up and placed him on the stretcher. Fox is still losing blood as this is going on and he sees Krused next to him as she took his hand said with teary eyes. "Don't die Fox. Please don't you die." He still couldn't hear anything as he's still in heavy shock. The medical team picked up the stretcher and placed him inside the chopper. Roach told Kursed and Jason to follow him as they boarded the same chopper as well. The chopper lifted off and headed to a Regimental Hospital. The pilot contacted the Hospital that their going to and alerted the doctors of the situation.

Kursed sat next to Fox and she saw the medics working on him still as they're heading back west. Things seem very hopeless for Kursed as she could only watch as Fox was not responding to their calls to him. Soon it happened, with much blood lost Fox's eyes went heavy on him and he passed out. This wasn't a good thing now for him as the medics began to do a blood transfusion to keep him alive.

One medic got a blood pack out and got the IV ready for it as they cut part of his uniform from his right arm and began to search for a vain. It didn't take long and they began to inject the IV needle into Fox's arm and the blood transfer began. Kursed panicked again as she saw Fox pass out but when she saw the medics work on him a give him a blood transfusion to keep him alive she felt relieved afterwards. Still they we're not out of the woods just yet.

20 minutes later

Regimental Hospital

The chopper arrived and landed on the helipad and the medics dismounted and got the stretcher carrying Fox and placed him in a medic van which will take him to surgery right away as the doctors are waiting for him. Kursed wanted to follow but got held back by Roach as he told her that she couldn't disturb the surgery that is about to commence. She got led to a barracks that she can use as they wait for him to get out of surgery. One of the medics told Roach that they'll report him on the progress and when he gets out of the operation.

14:00 hrs

Kursed resting on a bed at the assigned barracks she's given hears the door open and she sees the CO coming and makes her get up and wondering why he's here. He tells her that he got updates on the status of Fox and this got her attention. The operation on Fox is a success. The doctors removed the piece of sheet metal that pierced him and managed to fix up the damage that it did to his muscles and he's been stapled up from where they opened him up.

She wants to see him and he nods his head and signals her to follow him to the tent that he's currently at.

Doctors managed repair the damage done to him and saw that nothing vital was hit as well which came to a big relief for them. However, with Fox's losing a lot of blood in the process doctors believe that he's in a coma from that, or during surgery. He's also breathing from a respirator to help him out. Kursed doesn't know Fox's condition yet, she's not going to like it at all.

Arriving at Fox's tent the doctor sees both of them come inside. Kursed moves up to Fox's bed and says to him. "Fox?" No response at all, she looked at the monitor and saw his heart rate is below normal. The doctor tells her he can't hear her and this gets her scared.

The doctor then talks to the CO. "Sir, Fox's surgery is a success, we've been able to stitch up the damage of his wounds and nothing vital was hit at all from the piece of sheet metal. Unfortunately he's fallen into a coma, we don't know when it happened, we believe it could of happened from blood lost or during surgery. We won't know when he'll wake up. Some of us are saying he may never wake up at all. We have that other option if it comes to it, all you have to do is give the order."

Kursed was confused but then realized what that meant. Tears began to fall from her eyes. Fox may die if he doesn't wake up from his coma at all. She took his hand in hers and then places her other hand on his forehead trying to find him in his mind with her telepath, all she found was black and nothing. It's as if he wasn't thinking about anything at all.

Roach spoke. "I know Fox doctor. He's not one to give up that easily. He's a tough bastard, he'll make. Trust me." The doctor nodded at his decision to not let Fox go, he soon then left the tent. Kursed couldn't bare to watch Fox die at all. When she heard the CO that he wasn't going to let him die at all. She thanked him for saving him and hoped that he will soon wake up.

She takes a seat next to Fox still holding on to his left hand waiting for that miracle.

In Fox's Mind

Everything just black nothing all around. He knows what it means, it's that he's dead or in a coma. However that all changes as he sees his past coming back to him. Fox sees everything from when he was a young tod to his beginning journey as Star Fox. The start of his career was the biggest step he took when his father was killed. These were the greatest and toughest moments he had during that time.

Next he sees his adventures on Sauria where he would save the planet and save Krystal from his arch enemy Andross. It was one adventure that he never forgets. It was also the start of his rocky relationship with Krystal. Sauria was one of his best journeys that he likes to remember about the most, since he did get help from the dinosaurs their and from Tricky as well. He hopes that Sauria is still safe at the moment, still the tribes aren't united and they are still causing havoc on some areas but right now he knows that's not his problem at all.

The Aparoid invasion was quite an interesting journey as he remembers seeing all the action that occurred during that journey. It may not have been the brightest, but he knows the losses and the lose of the Great Fox, his father's ship. This was hard on him but Krystal managed to cheer him up during that time even after the invasion. He may have lost General Pepper from the Apariods as well, but he got through the tough times with his friends and he knew that they'll always watch each others back when things get very complicated.

After the good times, Fox began to see when things started to go down hill for him. Yes, kicking Krystal off the team was the biggest mistake that he ever made after realizing what he did. It's an error that can never be fixed even if he could try to, but he learned that he must move on from it and continue on with life.

Seeing his former love join Star Wolf was like a smack to a brick wall for him as he tried everything he could to apologize to her, but she simply refused saying that she felt happy being with Star Wolf.

After the fall of his reputation on Star Fox and most of his friends leaving on different paths in life, he starts to see his new start as an operative soldier joining Black Serpent. Joining the counter terrorist force changed him alot. His reputation grew and it out matched Star Wolf. Even when encountering them for sometime caused them to go into hiding and even Krystal still telling him to return to Corneria, he may have been rude but he told her and Star Wolf to stay out the way of what he and Black Serpent are and what they're capable of.

Star Wolf haven't messed with them yet, but he felt that's bound to happen later on since Wolf and his team have lost the trust to the Lylat System and its people from the planets including Corneria. The kill/ capture order is still on their heads and Fox knows what must be done for that is to take them out when the right time comes.

Then everything went back for Fox again and he wondered what's happening right now. It wasn't long until he heard a voice that he longed wished to hear again. "Hello Fox." Fox turned around and saw his father James McCloud. He was in deep shock at seeing him again and was wondering if he's dead. However his father tells him. "Your in a coma Fox and in a near death state, but I know you better then this my son. You'll wake up soon. First, let's talk. Walk with me."

Fox followed his father and the scenery changed from all black to an open field with blue skies. Nothing but grass to see. He wondered that it his father was doing this but he couldn't have if he's dead. Maybe it was his mind doing it himself, but he still doesn't know.

The father and son talk to one another as Fox told his story so far and what's been so far for him. James heard everything that Fox said and sees that his son has changed. He may be upset that Star Fox is gone, bue he understands the decision that Fox made since he can't run it by himself if his friends have left start a new life. James probably would have done the same thing as well if he was in his son's shoes.

After talking for a while Fox felt a breeze know that it must be time for him to wake up. James smiles at his son one last time before the two hugged each other knowing that they won't see each other again. James fades away as Fox sees the exit come towards him so he can wake up. The time has now come for him to return back to his friends and see how long he was out from his serious wound that he took for the bounty hunter.

It's been awhile I know that, now I have set up my PC that I worked for sometime and got it set up about a month ago and now here I am once again after getting all the parts that I needed for this PC that I've built. It works great and I'm really enjoying it so far. Well I hope that this chapter came out good and I got hold it off right here until the next part. I don't have a time for when the chapter will be out but I'll do the best I can. Until then stay safe during this pandemic and I'll return hopefully soon.
