Well here we are again. This chapter here took me a lot to try and figure out since it's not really easy for me to try and write since my hands are full. If you don't like then don't read.
"It's been two months since coming back to Corneria and it's been quite the journey for me. I'm now back on duty and ready to prepare for what's to come. Corneria local police have asked me to help them out on the patrols that they've been doing around the square and outside of it. I can see quite of number of people who are enjoying their time at the fountain square either eating, relaxing, buying things, or going on a date.
Still I can see the alternate version of what can happen if the attack goes through. Civilian casualties, hostiles opening fire of innocent people. Innocent blood spilled on Cornerian soil. Anger, sadness, and those are going to cry out for vengeance on the enemy for it, but what can I do with out orders from my CO? He's still in Kew as much as I know from him that they are helping out a resistance which call themselves Freedom Fighters of Kew. They have been asking for help now since things are now turning hectic on Kew.
Reports now show that Venom forces that are in Kew are now killing innocent people now including blaming the innocent for their failure and supporting the resistance. Now the resistance is trying everything they can to help protect their people and get them out safely from Oikonny's grasp on Venom's controlled territory that they now have. They even have control of the capital now.
I know that we'll engage them, but right now it's too soon to attack. I have to make sure to stop this attack."
October 7, 18:30 hrs
Lylat Fountain Square, Corneria

Fox on active duty and with three Cornerian Police Officer all in a Grey unmarked SUV on patrol, just outside of the Square checking every one and vehicles. Fox wearing a Grey fleece jacket, blue long sleeve shirt under the jacket, Black tactical camo pants, Black combat boots, and black hard knuckle tacitcal gloves. His gear is a black molle body armor with two triple pistol mag pouches on front with his radio on his left side of the body armor in a pouch, and a smg sling bag stick carrier, with a right leg holster armed with a FN Five Seven using 20 round mags. He has a speaker mic coms on with a ear piece on his left ear. The smg choice that he chose is the UMP .45 Holographic with a compensator muzzle.
The three officers with him all wore a blue uniform, a blue leather jacket and black boots. They were only armed with a blaster and they have their radios on their waist belt with a speaker mic.
"Sergeant McCloud, respond." Fox looking out the window of the SUV he's in and hears the contact from the local police HQ and responds. "This is McCloud." CLPD HQ starts to inform Fox and the rest of the officers about the situation. "Terror threat level is now critical. Possible multiple attackers, bombers, or something worse."
"Do you need snipers for this?" Fox says to HQ, and they respond "Negative McCloud, we can't alarm the people at all." Fox not liking where this is going and contacts them. "Terrorist know that to as well." HQ says to him. "McCloud, don't turn this city into a warzone. Clear?" Fox now cringing and nearly growling at what he's told but responds. "Yeah, understood. Out." The driver speaks to the others and Fox. "We're on our own for this." They all nod, but they have to get it done.
Continuing with their patrol around the square the driver spots a black van and says. "Heads up black van." They all look to their right and see it passing by with other vehicle going by and saw hostiles armed and ready and one of the passengers says. "Weapons in view, their going to attack." Fox contacts CLPD HQ. "Raider to Alpine, black van multiple military aged males moving to intercept." They all got out of their vehicle and moved up towards the black van as HQ responds. "Received, unless they attack. Do not engage." All four of them heard their orders and pulled out their sidearms and ready for anything.
The van was stopped by some other vehicles at a intersection and unfortunately another vehicle was spotting for the van had two hostiles and one got out to try and alert them and of the officers grab him and dropped him to the floor aim his sidearm at him and says. "Don't move!" Two other hostiles came out and Fox and the rest aimed at them telling not to interfere.
However, the hostiles were getting closer and another hostile that was watching for the van came out from the driver side of the car they were in. Fox began to contact CLPD HQ and then the black van's driver hit the gas peddle and drove straight towards the intersection and then the driver had a detonator and set of the explosives that it had in the van which caused a huge explosion. The blast was huge and the shockwave knocked Fox and the three officers with him down to the ground.
Multiple civilians were dead from the blast and many others were hurt from it. Fox got up and noticed the hostile who one of the officers had on the ground get up and pulled out a blaster and another officer shout out. "Gun! Gun!" The hostile fired killing him and Fox returns fire on the hostile that killed the officer and the other officers engaged the other hostiles.
Fox assists them with the engagement of the hostiles taken the rest out with the officers and one says. "Fuck, we lost one! Man down!" CLPD HQ contacts Fox as he looks around witnessing the damage and the civilian casualties. "Alpine to Raider, what the hell is happening over there?" Fox responds to the question. "Theirs's been a detonation at the Lylat Fountain Square! Shots fired, officer down! We need medical down here now!"
"Damn it! Fucking hell Fox! Look what they did to our home!" One of the officers said to Fox. Just then, they hear screaming civilians and multiple gun shots going off at the Fountain Square. "They're not done yet. This is just the beginning. On me! Fox says to the other two officers and the take the left from the intersection and move into Lylat Fountain Square which is now a warzone.
Multiple hostiles were all over the fountain square and killing civilians. CLPD troopers responded and began to engage hostiles and Fox and the rest join in and fight the enemy.
Many civilians were escaping the area and getting out, few were panicking, but escaped without getting shot at by the hostiles. Still they didn't know that the hostiles had another thing up their sleeves which catch the civilians by surprise along with the troopers. Radio comms have been active and multiple communications are going off as Fox hears everything through his comms.
He noticed something wasn't right at four locations and he's near one of them. A clothing store has hostages and two hostiles were ready to execute the hostages that they have with them right now. He can hear the hostages and gets his pistol ready. He saw one hostile and four hostages tied and on their knees scared and they're about to be executed. "Your leaders brought this upon you and have brought nothing but death." Fox hears the hostile speak to the hostages and he sees the enemy with his blaster ready and getting ready to execute the hostages.
Fox moved in and aimed his pistol at the hostile and fired his shot to the enemy hitting him in the head killing him instantly. The hostages screamed, and saw the hostile and noticed that they were saved.
Two officers arrived to help out. "Get them out of here now!" Fox said to them and he made a call to CLPD "This is Raider hostages safe, one hostile K.I.A at a red clothing store." CLPD HQ responds. "Received. Medical teams have been dispatched towards your location. Clear out the last three locations! Hurry Sergeant!"
Fox moved towards the next building which happened to be a two story book and toy shop which has unknown number of hostiles and he called for extra support with the local PD and they moved towards the building and a number of hostiles waiting for them. The attack started and Fox picked his targets quick so that the shop can be cleared out very fast for him to move towards the next location.
The fighting lasted no more then 3 minutes as Fox pushed into the shop and picked off the remaining hostiles that were still on the second floor opening fire at local police troops from the windows they're using. Fox moved up the stairs aiming his SMG and saw three hostiles only and picked his first target.
All three hostiles were taken out and Fox had almost the entire square clear, but hostiles were still around and some civilians are still around and are trying to escape still.
"This is Raider, book and toy shop secured." Fox contacted CLPD HQ and he exited the building and heads to the next location which is a stairway descending to a metro and he can hear hostages down their right now. He's heading towards the entrance of the metro and then saw a hostile came up the stairs of the metro with a detonator on hand and Fox fired on him hitting him multiple times with the UMP .45. The hostile hit floor and then he exploded.
The hostile's body is now blown to bits from the explosion. "All teams be advised, hostiles have suicide bombers! Take them out, don't let them get close to you!" Fox alerted all on his comms and went towards the metro entrance.
Going down the stairs, Fox switched to his Five Seven pistol and noticed two hostiles and about four civilian hostages and they're all on their knees about to be executed. Fox aimed and fired his shot at one of the hostiles and another local trooper took out the other and both hostiles were now taken out, all hostages were now safe.
"Get these people safe!" Fox said to the trooper and the trooper obeys Fox's order to get the civilians out. Fox now went up the stairs and ran towards the last metro just on the other side of the fountain which from listening from his comms that hostages that are wounded needing help.
Reaching the next metro entrance with little hostiles remaining now, Fox went down the stairs and noticed the civilians and several of them wounded and still awake. The civilians that weren't hit treating the wounded and helping them up to get them out of the area. Fox noticed that the gate still hasn't closed and told them to take the metro train and get to the next stop so medical can treat the wounded.
The civilians did what they're told and some carried the wounded with them to the metro train. "Alpine this is Trooper 34. We got civilians taking the metro train heading to the South Eastern section of the city. They got wounded with them, they'll need medical attention." A local trooper alerted their HQ and told Fox that he'll hold the metro entrance.
Fox agreed and went back up the stairs and got a call through his comms that hostages are being held at an electronic store just ahead of him and he sees multiple local PD troopers and looks at the entrance to the electronic with the main doors breached and in need to be lifted to make room to get in. Moving North West, Fox noticed another hostile suicide bomber charging towards the troopers.
Fox now using his SMG again and fired full auto at the hostile. The suicide bomber got hit multiple times and fell with him letting go of the detonator and the charges went off with a big blast radius. Some of the local PD troopers were caught in the explosion and died from it. "Alpine, officers down outside an electronics store. I say again, officers down." Fox contacted the CLPD HQ and they respond. "Damn it. What is the statues of the hostages?" Fox looked at the down troopers and responded to the question. "I have to get in the building. Stand by."
Fox ran to the busted door and began to moved the door so he can get in, but a hostile ran towards him with a combat knife trying to stab him. Fox caught the enemy's hand with his right hand and trying to fight him off as he holds onto the door with his left hand. The struggle didn't last long as the hostile was shot in the head by someone and Fox turns around with his right hand out and shouts. "Blue! Blue!"
Fox saw three operatives and noticed that it's Black Serpent that arrived to reinforce the local PD troopers. "I see you. You armed up?" One of the operatives asked Fox which he immediately recognized his voice. "Yes sir." Fox said and he saw his commanding officer Roach with two operatives, they're all in black combat uniform, black tactical boots, black hard knuckle tactical gloves. The two operatives used black tactical helmets with headset comms, but Roach with his black kryptek balaclava and headset comms. All three of them with assault body armor with a molle tactical belt with a holster. All three of them armed with the M4 Carbine Holographic and a P226.
Roach moves towards the door and helps Fox out with pushing the door to enter the building. "Sergeant McCloud." Roach said and Fox responds. "Sir. Good to see you again." They both enter the building and prepare if anymore hostiles are inside waiting for them. "On me." Roach said to Fox. Fox followed him as they moved quietly through the building heading towards the second floor and they both hear hostages shouting out for help and something wasn't right.
"Hostages." Roach said to Fox as they went up the stairs and they both saw six hostages and one of them with a bomb vest and the hostiles somehow managed to strap him with one to try and cause serious amount of damage and death. The hostage with the bomb vest on him is scared and may not be around for long. Fox moves towards the hostage that is strapped with the bomb vest and began to trying to figure how to stop the timer or get the vest off the hostage.
Roach moves towards the hostage as well. "I don't want to die. Please, help me. I want to see my daughters." He said to them with a scared voice. Fox turns the timer around and see that the bomb will go off in 90 seconds. Fox sees his CO grabbing something from an accessory pouch and sees that he grabs some bolt cutters and Fox sees that their is a lock on it and wondering what will that do. He also sees a jammer on his other hand and Roach activates it.
The jammer immediately froze the timer of the vest. "We have two hours to get this bomb off of him or else the timer will resume. McCloud, take the bolt cutters and cut the lock." Roach said to Fox. Fox did what he's told and cut the lock on the vest which now gave them a chance to remove the bomb vest from the civilian. Fox removed the bomb vest very carefully incase if the timer resumes or explode.
The bomb vest came off the civilian and he immediately went to the floor and stayed their as the two operatives needed to get the bomb vest out and into a bomb container so that it won't cause harm to anyone. Roach made a call to all forces in the area. "All call signs, bomb has been removed from a hostage. A bomb container is needed so that the device can be set off without causing casualties. Prep medical, all hostages have been rescued. We're coming out." Roach took the bomb vest from Fox and signaled him to follow.
The two operatives that are with Roach took over for the hostages that are still inside the electronic store as medical teams are on their way to check on casualties and on the wounded. Another team of operatives arrived with a bomb disposal case so that the bomb vest can be placed inside and be set off with out causing any harm to anyone or anything.
45 minutes after the attack, Fox is right next to the fountain and observing the aftermath of what has happen. He wasn't happy about this at all, local PD failed to prevent this attacked and civilians are dead now. Still they managed prevent casualties from being high. This still wasn't enough to stop it since they didn't hear or look at the intel that Fox has been getting. Fox's CO came up behind him. "You saved many lives today McCloud." Roach said to him. Fox then says. "This shouldn't have happen at all Sir. They sent themselves in half power, so they can keep convincing the entire city that they're not at war."
Hearing that is not what Fox's CO wanted to hear. "The biggest lie that they did to all of Corneria. They'll have serious consequences coming towards them." Roach said to Fox. "Why are they trying to hide the truth from them? We're fighting to try and prevent these type of attacks and look at the damage and deaths that has happen today." Fox said. He then turns around and continue talking. "Sir. They don't stand a chance with these rules of engagement. They can tell us when, they can tell us where, but don't tell us how. I've been tracking this cell for weeks."
"How much intel do you have on this?" Roach said and Fox responds. "A lot sir." Whatever intel that Fox's has can more then likely change the outcome of what has happened so far. Roach tells Fox to follow him and they both leave the area and head to the safehouse so that Fox can give all the intel that he's acquired. Intelligence personal are going to have a field day going though all of the intel. If they can find the location of the where the enemy is at in Corneria, then they'll get more intel on a possible target of where they can attack next.
