"You go right, I'll go left." Marinette demanded before taking off down the corridor, he ran down the opposite corridor, he didn't know what he'd say or do when he found her, he'd figure that out in the moment. Just as Marinette was running in the opposite direction she tripped over seemingly nothing and fell flat on her face, that wasn't going to stop her however she needed to find her friend. The Pair had been running for a few minutes when they met up with each other.

"You haven't found her either? Adrien asked and Marinette shook her head out of breath, then he noticed the blood coming from her nostril. "Marinette you're bleeding."

"Oh uh, I tripped in the Hall, but I'm alright" Despite her insistence she was fine Adrien still dragged her to the nurses office. She held the Tissue up to her nose until the bleeding had stopped, even in this situation Adrien still put his friends first. "I think the bleeding has stopped now."

"Good" Adrien sighed as he sat back in one of the chairs. "Marinette, What did you mean before when you said Kagami rejected me for your sake? Marinette froze up at the question looking off to the side.

"Still haven't figured that one out yet huh?" Marinette sighed. "Why did I have to fall in love with someone so Dense?" She said mostly to herself but loud enough for him to hear. "I really like you Adrien. I have for a while. I've just been too shy to tell you, but you're in love with Kagami aren't you?"

Adrien Hesitated for just a second before nodding "Yeah"

"Good, I knew it," Marinette replied quickly before Adrien could say anything else. "Well then, I'll see you later, go after her and don't give up." Marinette concluded before walking out.

Halfway down the corridor her vision became blurry as she realised she was crying. "Why am I? I already knew how this would go..." Marinette rubbed her eyes in an attempt to stop crying but it quickly became clear she was fighting a losing battle and she just let the tears flow.

Adrien walked out of school though there was no car, With everything that had happened he was over an hour late and no doubt his Father would have something to say about it. Still all of his missed calls were from Nathalie so clearly he didn't care that much and he still needed to find Kagami.

He decided it was unlikely that Kagami was still in the school, so he just had to figure out where she had gone afterwards. After running around the city for the better part of an hour he spotted her on a bridge over the Seine where they had gotten ice cream together after everything with Miracle Queen. She seemed to hear him approach looking back for just a second. she didn't try to leave which he took as a good sign.

"I love you, Adrien" She spoke just loud enough for him to hear as she looked out over the river.

"What?" Was about all that Adrien could manage; he was a little caught off guard by the sudden confession.

"I love you, Adrien," Kagami repeated as she turned to face him, sounding much more certain this time around.

"Yeah I know what you said but It was just a little out of nowhere" He had been thinking about what to say while looking for her but he wasn't prepared for such a sudden confession.

"It's like Marinette said I just needed to be honest with you and stop worrying about other people" Kagami didn't often admit she was wrong so openly Marinette really had gotten through. "Speaking of Marinette, you must know how she feels now right?"

"Yeah I do and She's great, really one of my best friends but that's it. She's just a friend." He felt a little guilty putting it so bluntly but he really couldn't help how he felt. He really did love her, just platonically the same way he loved Nino.

"Kagami I lo-" Just as he was about to say it , his phone rang at perhaps the worst possible time when he looked down at his caller ID. The colour drained from his face his Father never called him directly and when he did it was never for anything good.

"Adrien, you were supposed to be home hours ago and you have repeatedly ignored Nathalie's attempts to contact you, explain yourself at once!" Gabriel demanded into the phone the typical cold disdain evident in his tone.

"Some friends asked me for help with physics and we lost track of time, that's all." Adrien attempted to lie though his father very rarely fell for it.

"Supposing that's true that doesn't explain why you would ignore Nathalie, you are to come home at once, I thought I'd raised you better than this" Gabriel concluded and was just about to hang up.

"Raised me better than this? You haven't raised me at all! I don't see you for weeks at a time! Nathalie looks out for me more than you do! You only ever even talk to me when I've done something wrong" Adrien Seethed for once leaving His father speechless. "You offer the occasional piece of advice now and again but that's it. Does it make you feel good about yourself to occasionally show your son the compassion that most people's parents show them everyday!?"

"I'll come home whenever I damn well please, goodbye" Adrien hung up and it took all his restraint not to throw his phone in the river.

"Well he's gonna kill me when I get home." Adrien sighed as he put his phone in his pocket. Just as Plagg flew out of his bag.

"Well you needed to tell him off at some point" Plagg interjected before turning to Kagami. "Oh hey, Kagami we haven't formally met have we? Names Plagg" Kagami nodded, smiling at the Kwami.

"No we haven't, it's very nice to meet you Plagg" Plagg bowed before Kagami turned to Adrien "I think you did the right thing Adrien no offence but your father is the worst," Adrien couldn't exactly argue with her even if he didn't like to hear it. "Not that I can say much, my mother is arguably just as bad."

"Guessing you don't want to go home either?" Kagami nodded slowly. She didn't really have much Idea of where she wanted to go and neither did Adrien still. It was better than going home.

"We should go somewhere quiet, I don't need people trying to photograph us" Adrien took a hold of her hand, leading the way finding a quiet place in Paris wasn't exactly easy given how busy the city was but eventually they found a relatively quiet spot in the park or so they thought.

If getting a phone call from His father was scary seeing him in person was terrifying he never left the house Adrien's little rant must have really made him angry.

"This has gone on long enough Adrien you are coming home now, You will not return to school, You can resent me all you want I'm just trying to raise you to be a respectable person." Cracks had begun to form in Gabriel's indifferent façade; he sounded furious. He grabbed Adrien by the arm he'd drag him home if he had to.

"A respectable person? What like you? The man who never leaves his house and spends all his time neglecting his son?" Adrien pulled his arm from his fathers grip.

"Can't you see how miserable you make him." Kagami got between Adrien and Gabriel until she heard her mothers voice.

"Kagami, stop this at once, how Gabriel raises his son isn't any of your business. Now come home." Kagami seemed to lose her voice in front of her mother and so Adrien spoke up.

"And I suppose you think you're doing a good job raising your daughter if it was up to you Kagami wouldn't even have any friends! How did you find us anyway?"

"That isn't important" Gabriel deflected putting his phone away which didn't escape Adrien's notice; it didn't take him long to figure out what was going on here.

"You're tracking my phone!? Do you really trust me that little?" Adrien accused before throwing his phone at the ground with enough force to break it. "Ever since mom disappeared, you've completely lost it." Adrien's spat in a venomous tone part of him regretted saying it but for once he got a rise out of his father, he considered apologising when he felt Kagami take a hold of his hand.

He looked back at her understanding what she meant immediately and the pair ran, where? Who knows but one thing was for sure, they weren't going to make much progress talking to their parents.

I had originally pictured this story as 13 chapters but it'll probably be 15 because I am bad at planning
