"Hello my lovely ladies!" Ash said as May opened the door. "Not you, May..."

"Good to see you too Ash." May said as she let him in.

It was a bit earlier in the morning than he usually stopped by. He had
arrived with two bags on his hands.

"Ash!" Brianna quickly hopped down from upstairs. She noticed the bags and like any curious kid, asked what they were.

"Oh this?" Ash waved them. "Sorry can't tell you."

"Is it my Children's Day present?" Brianna asked, leaning to get them. Ash quickly moved them from her sight. "May already gave me mine yesterday."

"Yes, it's your present. But I'm not letting you open it yet."

Brianna pouted. "Why not?"

"Dawn has to be here."

Brianna quickly went up the stairs to wake up her mom, and May had stayed behind to make coffee for Ash. Ash placed the bag on the couch and went over to the kitchen with May. May started the coffeemaker and Ash was rummaging through the fridge for some bread and jam.

"What did you get Bri?" Ash said, starting up a conversation as he took out the items he needed when he found them.

"Some doll collection she wanted and a Easy-Bake oven." May said waving her hands. "What did you get her?"

Ash grinned. "It's a secret."

"I told you what I got her! Don't be unfair." May stated.

"All I can say is that it's definitely better than some doll."

May pretended to roll her eyes. "She's a seven year old."

"Haven't you heard that kids these days are all technologically advanced?" Ash replied.

May raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, I remember how it was with Max." She said as she proceeded to grab four cups and brought them to the counter. Then she pushed Ash away from the fridge and got an orange juice, walked back to the counter and poured it into one of the cups.

"Trust me, Bri's going to love it. Dawn even more because they are matching." Ash said as he grabbed a plate and a kitchen knife, then started to toast up the bread on the toaster.

"You got something for Dawn too?"

Ash's face light up in a blush. "Maybe..." He said as he carefully watched the pieces of bread so they wouldn't burn.

"Mooooom come on!" Brianna's voice was heard from upstairs. "I want to see what Ash got me."

"I'm going, I'm going." Dawn still sounded half asleep.

May poured coffee into the other cups and put sugar into them. Mixing it up she passed one to Ash, placed one over for herself and had one in her hand to give it to Dawn. Ash started to put jam on the pieces of toast.

"Morning sleepy head." May said as she handed over the cup to Dawn when she and Brianna arrived.

"Morning." Dawn said sliding into one of the chairs in the counter. It was next to Ash, who had instantly passed her a piece of toast.

"Good morning!" He happily said.

"Good morning to you too, Ash." Dawn said as she took a sip of the coffee. "Did you sleep well?"

"I did, and you?" Ash asked.

"Ah, I had a bit of a restless night." She replied.

"Mom can I go open my present?" Brianna interrupted.

"Not until you eat something kiddo." Ash intervened.

Brianna pouted and sat next to her mom.

May passed her the cup of orange juice. "I'll go get you cereal." She said.

"I want a piece of toast like Ash and mom."

"Thought you might say so." Ash said as he slid over the plate he had to Brianna.

"Thanks!" Brianna happily took the plate and began to bite into the toast.

Beginning to somewhat function now, Dawn glanced over to her Poketch. "Looks like the weather will be good today but please wear a jacket Bri."

"Iff shoo afsh dai shakt?" Brianna questioned.

"Did you wash my school jacket?" May translated.

"Chew, parrot." Dawn said. "And no we had the hangout this weekend so I couldn't really wash any clothes."

"Your spare is in the closet, parrot." May said laughing.

Brianna nodded and kept eating. "What about my sparkly green headband?"

"That's somewhere in my room." Dawn said. "You can wear the red one."

"I feel like wearing green today, mom."

"I'll lend you one of my ribbons."

"Really?" Brianna's face light up. "Thanks!"

"Just hurry up, we have to leave soon." Dawn stated.

Brianna excused herself, got up from her chair and hurriedly walked out of the kitchen. "I'll go get ready."

Ten minutes later everyone was in the living room and both Dawn and Ash were with gift bags in their hands.

"Happy children day!" They both exclaimed at the same time, as they passed their respective bags to Brianna.

"Thank you!" Brianna said, happily accepting them. She opened Dawn's present first.

It was a newly released set of picture books that talked about Pokemon from each region.

"How did you know!?" Brianna asked squealing and hugging it to her chest.

"Some little parrot wouldn't shut up about it." Dawn said laughing. "I simply guessed it was a hint."

Brianna placed the books in the table then grabbed Ash's gift. She carefully tore the wrapping paper and gasped as she saw what it was.

"No way!" Brianna's squeals were much higher this time.

Dawn glanced over to her daughter and looked to see what got her squealing so loud. "Is that..." She asked.

"The tablet that's sync-able to the Poketch?" Ash replied. "Yep!" Then he passed the second bag towards Dawn.

"You didn't..."

"I did." Ash confirmed.

Dawn frowned. "You really need to stop doing this."

"I do it because I want to. You both deserve it, trust me." Ash replied.

May puffed her cheeks. "This really blows because my gift looks so lame now."

Brianna placed the tablet down and patted May's head. "I still like it." Then she added, "besides, I think Kenny and Zoe are sending me plushies again." She stuck her tongue out.

"Right, because a Easy-Bake-Oven tops plushies."

"It does." Brianna said.

"This is too expensive." Dawn said as she opened her present. Tearing the wrapping paper, she glanced to the box that had the tablet.

"Dawn, seriously stop worrying. If it helps, Bri's tablet is the kids model."

"That's not what this is about." Dawn said shaking her head.

Brianna walked over to Ash and hugged him, then placed a kiss to his cheek. "I love it Ash, thank you."

"See? Bri said she likes it."

Brianna smirked. "Yes mom, I do. Now thank Ash and kiss him."

Dawn blushed. "K-kiss?"

"He got you a present so you have to thank him." Brianna stated.

"Who said I have to kiss him because of it?"

"Yeah Dawn. You have to kiss me." Ash agreed with Brianna.

May laughed. "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"

Dawn squeaked and hid behind the couch.

Ash, Brianna and May simply giggled.
