Season: Hello again! See? I have not deserted you. I promised I would try to constantly update, and here I am. As I previously mentioned a couple chapters ago, for those who have stuck with me all these years... these chapters will be familiar. I have re-vamped what was originally chapter 8 and split it into two separate parts. This being the first one, hence the short length.

I'm currently on vacation so I am writing A LOT. I have started working on the other chapters following the date, so you can be certain that new content will be coming soon.

I'm also using my cousin's wifi to update on my iPad, as my phone is a jerk when it comes to uploading/editing things over here in this site.

Again I want to give a mega huge thanks to my unofficial beta, Nony, who sticks with me and is there to, in her ruthlessly way... cheer me on.

Stupidity Does Not Earn You Heaven

by: Season Of Magic

Brianna was already used to her morning routine so despite it being Saturday, she had woken up too early. Perhaps she was excited about the fact her mother and Ash were going on a date. Thinking about that made her rush out her bed, nearly tripping on the covers.

She quickly went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth, washed her face then walked out to wake her mom up.

But Dawn had already been awake herself and when Brianna walked inside the room... Her mom was having a panic attack.

Dawn was currently with her cheeks puffed and a deep breath held in. Brianna glanced to her mother as if she had finally gone insane.

"Mom, breathe." She instructed.

"I am freaking out." Dawn admitted.

Brianna shook her head in disbelief. "It's like any other time you have been with Ash just that you will be alone with him."

"That's what is freaking me out." Dawn uttered. "What if I mess this up?"

Brianna pinched her mom's cheek. "You'll be fine mom." She said and Dawn finally breathed out.

"Is May here yet?" Dawn asked as she pointed to her bed. Various clothes were thrown around.

"She will be here in twenty minutes." Brianna said after she double checked her Poketch messages. "Meanwhile I have to go help Ash."

"Don't leave me!" Dawn screamed out.

Brianna once again shook her head. "Ash probably needs more help than you mom."

"But Briiiiii!" Dawn puffed her cheeks.

"Mom, stay." Brianna said as she walked out the room chuckling to herself.

The seven year old couldn't believe her mom was acting so childish.

Brianna walked over to Ash's house and entered without knocking. He knew she was coming over and they had discussed him leaving the door unlocked. Plus she knew where the spare key was just in case he wasn't up yet.

She walked into the living room and saw Ash wearing a blue and white sweater, light blue button up shirt, a tie, brown dress pants and black shoes. The shirt looked like it had not been ironed, and his hair was all ruffled up due to having a cap on and looked like he had not even passed a comb through it.

This was going to take a lot of work and effort, which is why she was glad she came by as early as she did.

"Are you sure you didn't sleep with those clothes?" She joked.

Ash laughed. "Good morning to you too."

Brianna waved and ran over to the kitchen. "Food first, clothes later."

"So you not only come to diss my clothing choices, you also want to eat my food?" Ash joked back.

Brianna shrugged. "I rushed over without eating. Besides, it's courtesy to feed your neighbor."

"You live right next door munchkin."

Brianna laughed as she glanced through the food in the fridge. "Free food is free." She stated as she pulled out an orange juice carton and a bagel.

"Consider this payment for your help." Ash said. "I'm not buying you that new My Little Ponyta playset." He added as he handed her a glass.

"May already got it for me." She said sticking her tongue out.

Ash ruffled her hair. "You really are spoiled."

Brianna grinned brightly.

"I think we did a good job." May said as she high-fived Brianna.

"I practically worked magic on Ash." Brianna stated. "He didn't know how to iron his clothes or shine his shoes."

May wanted to roll her eyes. "You think Dawn was any easier?"

"Yes." Brianna stated. "Mom's closet is literally filled with endless possibilities and we already went shopping too." She said reminding her of the trip to the mall they had done a couple days ago.

"That's the hard thing about it." May whined. "She found a flaw to every outfit I chose." May reminded her.

Brianna nodded because she knew how picky her mom was at times.

The bell rang and she knew that it was Ash so she went to open it. Brianna glanced him over and she was proud of how he looked.

His shirt looked ironed and decent without a tie, his shoes were shined and his hair- eh it was still a mess but it looked fine nonetheless. He had left the tie and hat at he saw Brianna give him a thumbs up he could not help but sigh in relief.

"I'm going to get some water." He said as he rushed straight into the kitchen.

"Awww, are you nervous?" May gushed.

"N-no!" He said.

May knew he was lying yet left him alone. She went back upstairs to get Dawn and Brianna stayed in the living room.

When May came down the stairs again, announcing that Dawn was in her way down Ash sprinted from the kitchen to the end of the they saw Dawn, Ash and Brianna were left awestruck.

Dawn was wearing a one shoulder near floor length cream dress, one inch heels, a clutch bag and her hair was let down in soft curls, her bangs were put to the side held in place by a Togekiss pin.

Ash could utter no words and Brianna just sighed pushing them both out the front door. "Have a good time guys." she said waving her goodbye.

"Not so much fun though. Remember you have a child waiting for you at home Dawn. She wouldn't want to see you drunk." May added.

Ash and Dawn shook their heads together.

"Are you ready to go?" Ash asked, his voice finally coming back to him. She nodded and Ash linked arms with her. "Let us be on our way then."

To say that he was beyond excited is putting it lightly. They were finally going on their first date.
