Season: Some parts of this chapter was originally going to be for a Halloween chapter I was working on earlier in October, but I was mind-blocked and thankfully was able to rewrite it for Christmas. So much cuteness.

This is fresh off the oven so I will go and edit it later.

Stupidity Does Not Earn You Heaven

Dawn glanced towards her daughter and tried not to squeal. Brianna was dressed up as a Articuno Trainer.

"Rawr!" Brianna said as she hopped off the stairs pretending she was flying.

"I don't think Articuno's can roar." Dawn stated.

"I'm it's trainer mom." Brianna replied.

"Of course you are." Dawn said as they both walked to the kitchen. "May did an amazing job with the outfit." She couldn't help but add.

"I helped!" Brianna said proudly.

"Oh? What did you do?" Dawn asked.

"I was the model."

"Because being a model is totally helping."

"I was the inspiration for the outfit so of course I had to model it."

"I just don't understand why you couldn't be an elf." Dawn said.

"I didn't want to be a elf for Christmas." Was Brianna's answer.

"Ash is dressing up as one. I thought you'd want to match."

"Peter Pan was not an elf." Brianna stated.

"Close enough." Dawn couldn't help but say.

Brianna twirled around and grabbed Dawn. "Let's just go already."

"I haven't dressed up yet."

Brianna waved her hands. "We'll put you into a red sweater, a red hat and BOOM! Mrs. Santa."

"So you get a carefully made outfit and then I get scraps?" Dawn said pouting.

"May can't work miracles while babysitting me. Maybe next Halloween, mom." Brianna said.

"Gee thanks." Dawn said as she let go of Brianna. "Grab the presents from under your bed while I finish getting ready."

"Okay!" Brianna chirped as she ran up the stairs. Dawn followed close behind.

"Slow down you're going to fall."

"RAWR!" Brianna said. "That's Articuno talk for; it can fly."

"You're it's trainer." Dawn mimicked Brianna from earlier.

The Christmas gathering was at Ash's house. Since he lived next door, Brianna and Dawn had been the first ones to arrive.

Brianna was still in her Articuno trainer's outfit which consisted mostly of a light blue dress and leggings with fake gems scattered around made to sparkle like fresh fallen snow. Her arm bands also sparkled but not as much. A feathered headband finished the look.

Dawn had dressed up in green leggings, a red top with a snowflake in the middle and red ankle length high heeled boots finished the look. Her hair was in a ponytail and a delibird pin.

Ash was dressed in the Peter Pan outfit he had used for Halloween. The only difference was the Santa's hat, red belt and snowflake shaped pointy shoes he had on.

"Awww how cute! You two match!" Brianna was squealing as soon as she saw Ash and began pointing to the snowflake pattern.

"All three of us do." Ash couldn't help but point out. "The sparkles in your outfit remind me of fallen snow."

Brianna winked. "I'll tell you later how May got it to be so sparkly."

Ash winked back. "Good, because I have a hat I'm dying to glitterfy."

Dawn laughed and glanced around. "Where's your tree?"

Ash pointed to the south of the house. "In the living room."

Dawn started walking over. "Thank you. Come Bri, let's set down our presents."

Ash pouted. "Hey! Where is the hello kiss for the host?"

Brianna began jumping up and down. "Yeah mom, where are all the muahs!"

"Help me put away the gifts first." Dawn couldn't help but say.

Ash finally noticed the bag at the front door. He walked over and picked it up.

"Follow me, troop." He said

"Aye, aye, captain!" Brianna said.

"Sir, yes, sir!" Dawn saluted.

Ash's tree was decorated in mostly yellow lights, signaling out his love for Pikachu. Most of the decorations were yellow as well.

Brianna tsk'd at the sight. "This is a disaster." She said.

"We should have come check it out when you said you had finished decorating it." Dawn said shaking her head.

While they waited for everyone else to arrive, Ash and Brianna had passed the time singing Christmas carols. Dawn was at the kitchen finishing the touches on her casserole.

"Who's that Pokemon? At the Pokemon Christmas Bash?"

"Who is that Pokemon? At the Pokemon Christmas Bash?"

"PIKA! PIKA!" Pikachu couldn't help but join in.

Ash and Brianna laughed.

The first one to arrive was Gary. He was dressed up in a fancy red suit with gray dress up pants.

"Alright loser I'm here to make your Christmas Eve better. No need to thank me." Gary said as he entered the house.

"Gary!" Brianna greeted happily from her seat. "You're just in time for the start of our movie marathon."

"Oh no, bye." Gary said as he walked right back out. Brianna ran to get him and dragged him right back inside.

"You're not missing Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer." Brianna chastised him.

"Do I have to?" Gary nearly whined.

"Yes!" Brianna chirped.

"Fan-freaking-tastic." Gary plopped himself down on the couch and sighed. "Let's just get this over with."

"Dad! The popcorn!" Brianna screamed towards the kitchen. "Also, Gary's here."

"It's in the microwave munchkin." Ash screamed back. "And yes I heard his stupid voice."

Gary stared with his mouth opened wide. "Dad?" He blinked.

Brianna glanced to Gary confusedly. She tilted her head as she uttered out a "Yes? I call Ash my dad."

Gary gulped. "Ah... I guess I missed a couple of things."

Brianna waved in dismissal. "Nothing in particular."

"Hmm..." Gary kept staring.

Ash came into the living room with a bowl of popcorn and two drinks at hand. He passed one of the drinks to Brianna and placed the other down on the table with the popcorn.

"Go get your own." Ash said to Gary.

Gary crossed his arms and stared. "I didn't want any."

Ash sat down next to Brianna. "Well, whatever."

Brianna leaned forward and grabbed the remote. "I'll start the movie then."

"Grandma got ran over by a reindeeeeeerrrr!"

"I mean, it wasn't that bad a movie I guess." Gary said when they finished watching it.

"Did you forget we watched this movie as kids?" Ash couldn't help but ask.

"I'd rather not remember we knew each other back then." Gary stated.

"Wow rude." Ash pouted.

Brianna laughed. "You two really are close friends."

"We are NOT!" Gary and Ash yelled in unison.

"Whatever you two say." Brianna said smiling.

May had been over at Hoenn for a couple of days, and so was the third one to show up.

She was dressed in a attire similar to Brianna's but Delibird themed. Since she lived with Ash, she knew where everything was already. She took her bag full of gifts straight to the tree. Placing the presents underneath it, she gawked at the tree.

"Seriously?" She asked in disbelief. "I should have known."

Ash shrugged. "Stop critizing the poor tree."

"We are critizing the decorator." Dawn said as she walked into the living room.

"Exactly!" May said. "This was his decoration last year too." She went and whispered to Dawn.

"No way! Really?" It was Dawn's turn to stare in disbelief.

May nodded. "Really!"

Dawn glanced towards Ash. "I'm decorating your tree next year."

"I'll help!" Brianna said.

Ash grinned. "Sure."

Gary just shook his head. "Since I could care less I'll stay out of it."

Tracey was the last one to show up. He went out of his way and decided to dress up as Santa.

"Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!" Tracey said as he lugged behind him a light brown bag.

"I get it." Brianna said laughing. "San-Tracey."

Ash pointed and laughed as well. But he was laughing because he found it utterly hilarious.

Gary and May never even batted an eye. Dawn stared amusedly.

"I made a casserole." Dawn said proudly as she presented her meal and placed it in the middle of the table.

"And I made lasagna." May said as she placed her dish next to Dawn's.

Dawn stared in shock. "How were you able to cook and bring it over?"

May placed a finger to her mouth. "Secret."

"I brought a pie." Tracey said.

They all glanced at Gary, wondering what he brought.

"I called for pizza delivery. Should be here soon."

"Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" Brianna said.

"You're so easy to please, munchkin." Ash stated.

"Gary and Brianna just don't understand the meaning of a homemade dish, huh?" May said.

Brianna stuck out her tongue. "Kids love pizza."

"Gary isn't a kid though." Ash said.

"He's the Grinch." Brianna said.

"Har har." Gary said. The doorbell rang and he stood up from the table. "That must be the pizza."

It was indeed the pizza. After paying the delivery guy and setting it down on the table, Gary once again sat down.

"Okay is that all?" Ash said.

"Yeah, that should be all." Dawn said.

"Okay let's dig in." Ash said.

"Let our meal be super delicious." Brianna said clapping her hands.

"Are you sure you want to wait?" Ash asked incredulously.

"Yep." Brianna nodded.

"Well... okay." Ash said. "It's almost bedtime for you, so I don't mind if you want to open at least one."

"Presents are meant to be opened on Christmas." Brianna said stubbornly.

"You are such a weird munchkin." Ash said.

"If Bri isn't opening any presents I suppose we'll all have to wait." May stated. "I guess it's a good thing you're all sleeping over." She added.

"We all brought our presents for that very reason." Dawn said.

"Hey, you live right next door." Tracey said. "I had to drag my bag over from far away."

"So did I." Gary said.

"You didn't even bring any presents!" Ash said.

"Who said I didn't? They're in the car."

Ash huffed. "You are such a tradition destroyer."

Gary crossed his arms in annoyance.
"I'll bring them in later."

"Maybe Gary wants to be like Santa and bring his presents in the middle of the night." Brianna piped in.

"I'm not sliding down a freaking chimney— " Gary couldn't help but say.

"I don't even have one." Ash quickly interrupted. He was laughing.

"— And I don't expect cookies or milk." Gary added.

"We'll set some aside before you go to sleep." Dawn whispered to Brianna.

Brianna was now laughing alongside Ash.

Brianna was asleep before the clock hit eleven. She was taken to May's room and laid down in the bed.

"Are you really okay with us having the bed?" Dawn asked.

May waved her hand dismissively. "Ash helped me set up the air bed earlier, I'll sleep just fine in it."

"You can sleep with Bri in the bed and I'll take the air bed it's no problem with me."

"Girl, seriously I'll be fine. Sleeping in an air bed is like sleeping on a cloud." May stated. "You're our guest."

Dawn sighed. "Fine."

May shoo'd Dawn away. "Now go cuddle with Ash or something. It's still early."

Dawn blushed. "MAY!"

May laughed. "The way you two stare at each other, it's obvious Ash has been wanting to kiss you the entire evening."

Dawn's face was heating up. "He has?"

May glanced to her friend incredously. "I'm surprised you are even crashing with me in the first place."

Dawn puffed her cheeks. "It's not like that!"

May raised an eyebrow. "Eh?"

Dawn's face was entirely red now. "I hadn't even thought about that..."

May tilted her head and laughed. "Seriously, you two are so cute. Just go spend time with him, and if you don't return well... don't worry. I'll take care of Bri."

Dawn quietly stomped her feet. "I told you it's not like that." She opened the door and closed it behind her as she walked out. "May!"

Quieting her racing heart, Dawn quickly made her way to the living room. Ash was sitting by the tree, organizing all the presents and laying them down next to stockings that had everyone's name. Clearing her throat, Dawn made her way over.

"Need help?"

Ash looked up and grinned when he saw who it was. Sighing in relief he smiled. "For a second I thought Bri had woken up."

Dawn shook her head. "No, she's fast asleep and probably won't wake up until seven."

Ash motioned Dawn closer. "Good. She will be extremely happy when she sees all that Santa and his helper did."

Dawn walked over in quick stride and noticed there was a bag of candy beside Ash. "Since you're clearly Santa, what can the helper do? Fill the stocking with candy?"

Ash grinned. "Yep!" Then he smirked and pulled out a small bag out of his pocket. "But you can put these in Gary's."

Dawn took the bag and looked at it. She laughed. "Coal? You're giving Gary coal?"

Ash nodded. "Santa thinks he's been bad this year. But you can mix some candy in there too."

Dawn couldn't help but smile. "You two love messing with each other but you just secretly are also best friends aren't you?"

Ash looked up from the presents. "Hmm? Not really. We do hate each other."

Dawn laughed. "Sure, Ash. Whatever you say."

By the time Ash and Dawn had finished sorting through all the presents and placing candy on the stockings, the clock had hit 12:30.

"Whoa, look at the time. Merry Christmas Dawn!" Ash said as he passed Dawn a candy cane.

"Merry Christmas Ash!" Dawn said as she took the candy cane and passed Ash one of the many other peppermint candies.

They stood up from the cold floor and stretched.

"That was exhausting but at least everyone will know where to look for their presents." Ash said.

"It was a good idea to organize them." Dawn agreed.

"Thanks for helping me." Ash said.

"No problem." Dawn said.

Ash opened his arms. "Ahhh! Santa's exhausted." he said again. "He needs a hug to replenish his energy."

Dawn giggled at Ash's antics but went to hug him regardless. "Mhm Santa worked really hard, I'm sure it must have been super tiring organizing all those presents."

Ash leaned his head down on top of Dawn's. "It was." He said as he wrapped his arms around her. "But it was harder having to wait to do this."

Dawn smiled softly. "May had been right then?"

Ash was staring at Dawn confusedly. "Hmm?"

"She said you had been staring at me a lot during dinner and was surprised I didn't catch up on it despite me doing the same thing."

Ash laughed. "Darn I'm that obvious?"

Dawn smiled. "I think it's cute."

Ash blinked. "You do?"

Dawn placed her hands on top of Ash's. "I do," she said. "And if you wanted to kiss me, I don't see why you couldn't just say so."

Ash looked away. "... there was a kid present, and I'm sure our friends would have made fun of us."

Dawn squeezed his hand. "Brianna was the one hinting we should kiss since the afternoon, maybe we should so she could get the squealing off her system."

"You two are seriously related." Ash couldn't help but say.

Dawn puffed her cheeks. "Maybe I've been waiting for you to kiss me too."

Ash sputtered. "Y-you have?"

Dawn bit her lips. "We're dating aren't we? Couples do these sort of things, and Bri even calls you dad."

Ash took a gulp of air. "Yeah... but, I thought I would ask. That's the gentleman thing to do."

Dawn glanced up to Ash. "I'm your girlfriend, and like Brianna said earlier, where are all the muahs?"

It was right there and then that Ash finally realized, Dawn and Brianna had him at the tip of their fingers.

His lips pressed to hers, and so Ash finally kissed Dawn as passionately as he had wanted to all night.

Season: See? I said it was all cute. There will be a part 2, but how soon it will be up? I don't know. Currently writing it!

Reviewer pkmaster777 wants to know if Bri and Dawn will be getting presents. Everyone lugged over a bag full of presents, so it's clear they will be getting various presents. Ash will probably most certainly try to out-do May, Tracey and Gary though.

I'm striving for continuity, so yes, May still lives with Ash. It's super easy for her to babysit Brianna that way, and Ash and her get along great as housemates. She lives in the first floor, near the living room. I can see myself writing a one-shot about their living experiences together. I'm sure May teases Ash a lot after he and Dawn started dating.

May was away visiting Max before the holidays so she wasn't there when Ash put up the Christmas tree. I'm certain it was a 'OH MY GOSH THEY'RE ALL COMING TO MY HOUSE AND I DONT HAVE MY TREE UP FOR THEM TO PUT THE PRESENTS UNDER!" Kind of thing. Ash rushed a lot.
