Season: I don't even know why I update when I know I'm hated by everyone by now but I love this story too much to give up on it. A lot is going to happen in the next chapter (I'm already writing it, don't worry.) PS: I know this is a short chapter but I promise the next ones will be longer.

"We're finally leaving this darn place and I couldn't be happier." Gary said as he tossed his bag into the van. "And If I ever hear the words, 'pack your bags Gary, we're going on a trip' again, I swear I will kill all of you while you're asleep."

"It wasn't that bad Gary." Ash said.

"Being chased by angry wild Pokémon 95% of the time," Gary stated while pretending to roll his eyes, "real fun."

"Okay maybe it was kind of bad." Ash stated. "But it was good in some aspects."

"I learned a lot of things during this trip." Brianna said happily as she took her backpack into the van.

"And that's all that matters to me." Ash replied as he began to take the heavier stuff into the van.

Gary sighed dramatically. "Whatever."

Tracey helped Ash and soon everything was in it's place. "That should be all." He said as he took his seat.

Gary took a glance away from the window. "Can we leave now Ash, or do you need more time to say your goodbyes?" He suggested.

"Har, har." Ash said as he opened the passenger side for Dawn, then went to the driver's side and got on. "Funny."

May and Brianna took their seats.

"Whoever isn't here say I." Brianna stated.

"I don't want to be here if that counts for anything." Gary stated

"Can we leave him?" Ash asked.

"Funny." Gary said crossing his arms.

"If we want to make it home with enough time to relax a bit before Brianna's bedtime we should leave soon." Tracey said.

"Everyone, seatbelts on." May stated.

"So we can be safe!" Brianna chirped.

As the van began to move, Gary breathed. "Goodbye Viridian, see you never!"

"Home sweet home!" Ash said as he opened the door for Dawn and the rest of the group.

"Oh thank Arceus!" Gary exclaimed as he sat in the couch. "I can finally go home and never see your faces again for an entire week."

"We know you'll miss us." Ash said as he placed his, Dawn's and Brianna's bags down. "Don't worry, I'll text you tonight."

"Please don't." Gary said as he opened his Poketch. "And just to make sure I don't receive anything..." He swiped and pretended to turn it off.

"That hurts!" Ash said placing his hands to his heart.

"Butttttt Gary! How am I supposed to send you pictures?" Brianna pouted.

Gary groaned. "I'll make an exception for you, munchkin." He said as he and placed his hands inside his pockets.

"Yay!"

"I just wish tomorrow was a holiday," Dawn exclaimed. "I really don't want to go into work."

"Okay you take care of the parrot tomorrow then." May stated.

"If I want to continue affording this house and your babysitting pay I have to go into work." Dawn said laughing.

"I babysit her for free." May simply retorted.

"Who's the one who buys all the food?" Dawn said sticking out her tongue.

"Point taken."

Brianna had showered, drank a warm glass of milk and was tucked into bed half an hour later by Dawn and Ash.

"I had a lot of fun during our trip I hope we can do it again." Brianna said as she yawned and snuggled deeper into her covers.

"We're glad you had fun sweetheart." Dawn said as she placed a kiss to her forehead.

"We'll definitely go on another trip soon, promise." Ash said as he too kissed her forehead.

"Sweet dreams parrot." Dawn said as she and ash walked to the door and turned off the light.

"Good night mom, dad." Was the last thing they heard as they clicked the door shut.

"That always warms my heart to hear." Ash said as he leaned his head on Dawn.

"It's completely adorable." Dawn agreed.

"Let's let her go to sleep in peace and stop standing outside her room like creeps."

Dawn giggled. "We are not creeps." She said as she took his hand. "We're her parents."

"Yes we are."
