Season: I think we're all FINALLY getting part of what we all wanted. TEARS! This chapter is so beautiful and makes me want to cry. Prepare a napkin because i DEFINITELY shed a tear as I wrote the line "It's perfect, absolutely perfect."

Stupidity Does Not Earn You Heaven

"And we're back in Kanto's Grand Festival's final round, where surprisingly, Ash Ketchum, a total beginner at contests from Pallet Town has somehow made it to the finals!" Kenny told everyone.
"Hey!" Ash yelled in defiance. He was wearing a gray vest with a white shirt and matching gray pants. He had on a fancy white hat on his head.
Kenny ignored him. "For the chance to win the ribbon, Ash is challenging our festival's very beloved May, who has competed here before. I hear they're friends so this is kind of exciting to see."
May smiled and waved to the crowd. "Just because he's new and I taught him what he knows doesn't mean I'll let him win so easily." She said with a wink. Her outfit of choice was a red headband on her head, a red and white sweater and comfortable shorts to remind herself of how she used to dress back in the days.
"There you have it folks; it's a total declaration of war from May." Kenny yelled out.
"I'm not going easy on you either buddy!" Ash stated to May.
The podium transformed into a stadium. "Contestants choose your side now."
Ash went to the left side and May went to the right. They took out the pokeball the pokemon they had chosen to battle with
May twirled her pokeball in the air. "Wartortle, help me me out." She called out.
Ash tossed his pokeball. "Pikachu I choose you."
"Waaaar!"
"Pikaaaaa!"
"Pikachu we've trained all month for this. I believe in you." Ash stated.
"Me and Wartortle have trained as well. We are not losing, are we buddy?"
"War!" Wartortle stated.
"We'll see who's training has paid off." Was all Ash said as he glanced to the clock.
"Five minutes starting now. GO!" Kenny said.
"Wartortle, Aqua Tail."
"May begins the offense rather quickly. She's not known for backing down from a challenge and this is no exception." Kenny said to the crowd.
"Electro Web!" Ash yelled out. "Then Volt Tackle."
"Both defense andoffense!" Kenny said. "That's an interesting take."
"Ice Beam Wartortle. Don't let that Volt Tackle hit." May yelled.
"Too late for that." Ash grinned. "Electro Ball!"
May gasped as Pikachu stopped running mid-Volt Tackle, and easily shifted its move from a full electric attack to its tail making a ball of electricity.
"I'm not going down so easily." May said. "Pikachu can't hit what it can't see. Rapid Spin."
Wartortle began spinning, the electric attack missing its target. May sighed in relief.
Ash calmly replied; "Iron Tail."
May once again gasped. Of course he'd do that. He knows that it'll stop the motion. "We've got Pikachu now, Water Gun."
Both attacks hit simultaneously. Both Pokemon went down to the stadium from the air.
Nurse Joy, Zoey and Dawn gasped from their seats. Dawn quickly clasped her hands together, hoping that Pikachu would be alright.
"This is amazing!" Kenny yelled out as he saw Pikachu and Wartortle standing up quickly. "Neither of them are giving in."
Dawn breathed a sigh of relief.
"You holding up okay?" Ash asked Pikachu.
Pikachu nodded and flailed its arms. "CHUUU!"
"I hear you loud and clear buddy." Ash replied back.
"Wartortle, hang in there." May stated.
"Waaaar!"
"We came here to win, not to rest, and that's what We're going to do." Ash replied as he gripped his hand tightly. "Pikachu, let's go, Volt Tackle!"
Pikachu nodded, equally as hyped up. It began charging up its attack.
"Ice Beam Wartortle!"
Ash grinned. "Dodge it with Electro Ball, then keep using Volt Tackle."
Pikachu did as it was told. The Electro Ball hit the Ice Beam and shattered it into pieces. Pikachu used the momentum as he jumped on them to hit Wartortle with a full speed Volt Tackle.
It happened instantly; Wartortle fell down, fainting on the spot.
"With a minute left on the clock... WE HAVE A WINNER!" Kenny yelled. "It's beginner coordinator Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town!"
Ash and Pikachu grinned. Ash ran to Pikachu and picked it up. "You did it buddy!"
"Pikaaaa..." Pikachu closes its eyes.
"Rest up buddy you deserve it." Ash said patting Pikachu. He then walked towards May he extended his free arm to her. "You did great May."
May smiled. "You too Ash." She gripped his hand in a firm handshake.
"What marvelous camaraderie we're seeing here." Kenny said crying.
"Kenny don't cry come on." May said as tears began to fall down. "Now I'm crying!"
Ash wiped a couple tears from his eyes as well.
Zoey, Nurse Joy and Dawn were bawling their eyes. Dawn more than the other two.
"Isn't this great?" Zoey said to Dawn. "He won!"
"I can't believe it." Dawn said.
Zoey grinned. "Go to him, I know you want to."
"But that's not professional." Dawn couldn't help but state.
"You're an honorary judge." Nurse Joy said. "Love is more important."
Dawn quickly got up from her seat and ran towards Ash.
"Ash!" She yelled out as she got near. "Pikachu!"
"What's this?" Kenny stated as he glanced at what was going on. "Seems our judge has something she wants to say to our winner."
"Congrats Ash!" She said, taking deep breaths to calm herself from the running she did. "You were great too May."
"Yeah, yeah." May waved her hands defensively. "We all know you're here for Ash. Since he did win, maybe he deserves a reward." She winked.
Dawn blushed.
"Yeah Dawn, what am I getting as a reward?" Ash asked.
"N-nothing if you keep being like this." Dawn stated.
"He deserves a kiss!" Kenny said trying to help.
Dawn placed her hands to her hips. "You three are incorrigible." She said. She then sighed and hugged Ash. "You did good. You too Pikachu."
Ash smiled and leaned down. "Just good?"
"Don't push it." Dawn replied.
Ash grinned and wrapped his arms around Dawn. "Man, with my lovely girlfriend congratulating me, I feel llike a winner already!"
"Oh? So you don't want the ribbon then?" May couldn't help but state. "I'll take it off your hands before you even get it then."
"I want it all." Ash said. With quick timing, he leaned down again and brushed his lips against Dawn's. "And I have it all if I have you." He whispered to her.
"Ash went for it!" Kenny yelled amazed. "My hero!"
Zoey and Nurse Joy clapped.
"The award ceremony will be in an hour." Nurse Joy said. "Finalists please come see me so I could heal your pokemon before then."
"Ah that's right it's break time!" Kenny said. "We'll be back soon. But first a word from our sponsors."

The hour passed by quickly and soon Ash and May were back in the stage for the award ceremony. Wartortle and Pikachu were off to the side talking to each other. They then went to their trainers.
Nurse Joy and Zoey began handing out the participation ribbon to May and Wartortle.
"You two did a great job." Nurse Joy said.
"I'm glad I wasn't competing." Zoey said as she gave May her ribbon.
"Ash would have crushed us both." May couldn't help but reply laughing.
"Now that our finalist has her ribbon, it's time to award the winner." Kenny said as Dawn walked up to Ash with a box in her hands.
"Congratulations." Dawn said. "This ribbon represents your strength as Kanto's best." She opened the box and showed the ribbons to Ash and Pikachu. She took one out and placed it on Pikachu. She then took the other and placed it on Ash's chest, blushing hard. She passed the box to him. "May you always be reminded of your win."
"Thank you very much!" Ash replied as he took the box. "We will certainly remember this won't we buddy?"
"Pikaaaaaa!"
Dawn smiled and stepped back. "Congratulations again to Kanto's Grand Festival winner, Ash Ketchum."
"CONGRATULATIONS!" The crowd said.
All of a sudden, Brianna walked into the stage. She was wearing a yellow dress, with a electric symbol headband on her hair. She was carrying two bouquet of flowers. She gave one to May. "Good job!" She said to her. She extended the other to Ash. "Congratulations Dad."
Dawn gasped. She wasn't expecting this.
Ash was in tears now. "What are you—?"
"She made us!" Kenny and Zoey uttered together. "We can't say no to her."
Ash leaned down and took the bouquet. "Thank you munchkin." He said ruffling her hair. "I wasn't expecting this but hey it makes things easier for me."
Brianna blinked confusedly. Dawn couldn't help but stare.
Kenny smiled. "Ah, that's right. During the break Ash said he wanted to say something during the award ceremony."
Ash nodded. "Yep, I do." He passed his bouquet to Dawn so she could hold it and quickly brought out an envelope he handed to Brianna. "Happy birthday Bri."
Brianna took the envelope confusedly. She opened it and glanced in disbelief as she read the paper inside. Tears quickly poured out from her eyes. "Is this..."
"It's real." Ash said.
Dawn quickly went to her daughter. "Bri, what's wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong. Everything's perfect." She hugged the papers tightly. "Absolutely perfect."
"What does it say?" Dawn asked. She stared towards Ash in confusion.
"Can I tell her?" Brianna asked as she glanced to Ash. "Even if we are in live television right now?"
Ash nodded and smiled. "Yeah, I want the whole world to know."
Brianna cried harder and tackled Ash. The paper grasped tightly in her hands. "I, Ash Ketchum, am submitting in writing to Kanto's court that I would like to declare Brianna as my daughter. Rules withstanding, I will do everything in my power to see this happen."
Ash hugged Brianna back then turned towards Dawn. "Anything." He repeated to her. "I do not want to lose either of you."
Dawn was now bawling her eyes just as Brianna and bouquet forgotten she too tackled Ash. "I don't want to lose you either." She whispered back.
"What do you say?" Ash said to Dawn.
"I say you're out of your mind Ash." Dawn said to him. "But this is why I love you."
"I love you both!" Brianna said as she hugged them. "I want to be a Ketchum mommy."
"You're already Ketchum in spirit but are you ready to become a Ketchum for real?" Ash asked.
"Yes." Dawn said as she kissed Ash fully on the lips. "A million times yes!"
"A winner, a father and now engaged!" Kenny screamed. "This Grand Festival is spicy!" Dawn glared towards Kenny. "Eheheh! Sorry to call your relationship spicy, Dee-Dee."
Zoey, May and Nurse Joy were clapping and crying their eyes out.
"It's so beautiful." Nurse Joy said.
"I can't believe she's engaged before me." Zoey couldn't help but utter.
"I can't believe Ash managed this without telling any of us." May stated.
"Even I'm surprised." Kenny said. "And I've only known him for three days."
Zoey quickly hushed Kenny. "We should let them enjoy their moment..."
"Uhmmm how can we? This is being televised."
Nurse Joy nodded her head. "Yeah, we should wrap this up."
"Right." Kenny went back to host mode. "There you have it folks. This has been Kanto's Grand Festival. Thank you for tuning in."
"Can we go eat something?" Brianna asked as she grabbed Ash's hand. She was holding unto the bouquet at his request.
"Of course." Ash said as he held her hand tightly. He extended his free one out to Dawn. "Let's go."
Dawn grabbed it and held on, letting herself be pulled along. "Yeah after all these surprises, I could definitely eat something."
Brianna smiled brightly. "I want mashed potatoes. I hear they have a garlic sauce they put on top."
"Really? That sounds delicious." Ash said, his mouth already drooling at the thought.
Dawn laughed. "You'd find anything delicious."
Ash laughed along. "That's true."
Gary, Tracey, Kenny, Zoey and May had followed them but stayed close behind. They didn't want to interrupt.
"I can't believe this really happened." Gary uttered. "I thought I was the idiot's best friend, why didn't he tell me anything?"
"He's good at keeping secrets when he wants to." Tracey said. "Although there's one thing I'm confused about."
"What's that?" May asked.
"I didn't see him giving Dawn a ring." Tracey replied.
Gary facepalmed himself. "That idiot!" He uttered. "Leave it to him to mess something up."
May smiled. "Maybe he's thinking of doing something more private later."
"Like an official proposal?" Zoey asked.
"Yeah." May said. "Keep in mind that what happened was mostly for Brianna since it's her birthday."
"Ah I get it!" Kenny replied back nodding his head. "This was just to state his intentions."
"Exactly." May grinned. "A proper proposal is definitely coming eventually."
"He better ask me to go with him to pick a ring..." Gary uttered to himself.
"Is someone feeling left out?" May teased.
"Am not!"
"We can hear you from up here." Ash said as the three of them stopped. Dawn was blushing as red as a tomato by now and Brianna was grinning widely from ear to ear.
"When are you proposing for real then?" Kenny asked.
"You seriously have no decorum!" Zoey said as she whacked him on the head.
Ash smiled. "That's for us to know." He said as he held unto Brianna and Dawn tightly. "For all it matters to me we're already engaged."
DawnEXE stopped working.
"You broke her." May said. "That's what you get for not putting a ring on it."
"I... I don't need one..." Dawn muttered shyly.
May and Zoey shook their heads.
"You definitely need one." May said.
"If you don't put a ring on her soon I'm taking them back with me to Sinnoh." Zoey swore.
Ash raised his arms in defeat. "I can't do anything right can I?"
Brianna smiled. "You have us, that's definitely something right."
"That's true. If I have you both I don't need anything else."
"Mommy needs a sparkly ring though..." Brianna couldn't help but say.
Ash sighed. "You're all conspiring against me."
"I do it because I love you dad." Brianna said.
"I love you too munchkin." Ash said.
