Season: Aren't I on a roll with these updates? Go me. I can't believe we are almost to the end. Just six more to go! At least that's the plan.

Narrator: Don't you have a surgery to get ready for?

Season: I gave everyone like three chapters in the span of a week and a half? I have plenty time to prepare that I could write TWO more chapters before I go off the radar.

Narrator: Don't make promises you won't keep.

Season: You are fired.

Narrator: You can't fire a fictional and beloved voice of reason.

Season: No one even knows who you are!

Narrator: I am the voice inside your head. The reason that you're writing. You gotta find me.

Season: Was that a bad attempt ar a camp rock reference? Ugh I'm leaving.

Narrator: I'm the true star of the show. Adieu writer you will not be missed. Pssst hey. No one even mention she's gone until October at best and let's all laugh at her then.

Season: Watch me leave this story unfinished.

Narrator: Don't believe her. As stated before, we are nearing the end my friends.

SEE YOU SOON! (for chapter 45? Wow! How far we have come.)

Stupidity Does Not Earn You Heaven

by: Season Of Magic

{~}

The rest of the week that Johanna was staying in Kanto passed by so quickly that Dawn was equally as pouty as Brianna when they dropped her off at the pier that the boat she would be taking back to Sinnoh was.

Johanna hugged her daughter and grandchild. "There will be none of that since I'll be back before you know it. I am not missing out on the engagement party happening next month."

Dawn nodded as she wiped tears from her face, leaning into the hug. "You could have stayed until then." She was still pouting though.

"Don't you think that's imposing a bit too much on Delia's kindness?"

"You could stay with me." Dawn huffed.

Johanna laughed. "That would be imposing on my sanity with the antics you kids get up to."

"Mom!" Dawn was now puffing her cheeks. "The only child here is Bri."

Johanna laughed even louder. "The month will pass by quickly you will see."

"Right..."

"Grandma." Brianna started, as she leaned away from the hug, then stopped and took a deep breath. "You have to remember to come with more gifts next time and definitely more knowledge about the Barbie movies because we have many more to watch and you have to catch up on everything! Can you bring me some clothes from the region? Zoey has given me a few but I'm missing the latest fashion and I want some new ribbons for my hair."

Johanna smiled as she let go of her family. "Of course." She said as she ruffled Brianna's hair. "I'm sure there is something I can bring back next time I come by and if not I'll be sure to stock up on various fabrics so Delia can make you something unique instead."

"Yay!" Brianna cheered.

Dawn sighed. "I think everyone giving her gifts all the time has made her a bit spoiled. Sorry mom."

Johanna placed a hand to her mouth. "I don't think it's spoiling her if she's exactly like her mother. You were quite a fashionista at her age."

Dawn wanted to roll her eyes. "Wanting to look nice isn't being a fashionista. But I'll give you that." "I'm not spoiled!" Brianna said with a pout.

"Dad, am I spoiled?" She asked to Ash, who was off to the side to give them time alone.

Ash placed one hand to the back of his head. His nervous, anxious tell. "I mean I wouldn't say spoiled is the rightword... we just want to show how much we love you."

"See!?" Brianna pointed with a grin. "I'm not spoiled and that's that." She crossed her arms.

Johanna leaned down to place a kiss on her cheek. "Take care my spoiled munchkin and I'll see you in a month."

"I'm not spoiled..." she grumbled again. "See you in a month grandma!" She perked up at the show of affection.

"If she's spoiled then I'm Hoenn's queen." A voice said from the other side of the pier. May quickly walked over waving her hand to them as she ran the rest of the way. Taking off her sunglasses. "Thanks for saving me the cab fare back to Dawn's place Johanna."

"Glad I could help." Johanna said with a deadpan expression. "This wasn't planned one bit."

May laughed as she took off her backpack and handed over two bags to Brianna. "Here's what you asked for parrot. Rare candies and clothes right?"

Brianna squealed. "Thanks May!" She hugged her babysitter. "You're the best."

Dawn simply pointed at the scene. "Tell me again how she's not spoiled?" She asked.

"Oh shush!" May stated giving another bag to Dawn."There's gifts for you as well." She then handed one to Ash. "And you."

"Wow thanks May!" Ash said.

"Yeah, thank you!"

Brianna squealed louder as she brought out various scarves from the bag. "Wooow!" She touched the fabrics. "These are really soft." She placed then back and opened the second bag finding inside various amounts of candy. She nodded approvingly to May.

Dawn's bag also contained similar looking scarves. "You're right these are soft." She then glanced over to the bag of candy and sighed. "Those better last you all year."

Brianna was already-unwrapping one.

Ash's bag contained some pokeblocks, a letter from Max, some candies and what appeared to be a picture of a bike? At that last one Ash raised an eyebrow and glanced over to May with a confused look. "Let me guess; you finally fixed it?"

"Only after a decade and a half. You owe me the repair cost."

Dawn looked over to the picture. "It's a very nice bike. Must have cost a fortune to fix."

May wiggled a finger. "Wouldn't have had to if someonehere didn't ruin it in the first place."

"Yeah, yeah, Misty is still yelling about it even though she got hers fixed as well."

"There was a rumor going on in the office that you are called the bike-breaker for a reason but I didn't think it was actually true. You are a menace." Dawn couldn't help but laugh.

"How'd you even manage that?" Brianna asked.

"Uhhm." He coughed. "Pikachu kind of electrocuted them..."

Dawn blinked. Then she gawked. Then she simply burst out into hysteria.

"Well, I should be grateful my bike got spared. Then again Paul almost broke it as well." Johanna shook her head. "The repair costs for it would have been astronomical." She agreed as she glanced around. "Well, I should be heading out. They will be calling us to board soon."

Ash shook Johanna's hand. "Thank you once again for coming by. My mom won't stop talking about you for weeks I'm sure." Johanna raised her poketch. "I got her contact information before I left. We have some more things to discuss but we can do those from between regions." Ash sighed in relief. "Thank you for sparing us." "You're welcome."

Joanna's lips quirked up into a smile as she pulled Ash into a hug. "And that's how you properly say goodbye to your mother, son." Ash's cheeks burned with a bright blush as he hugged her back. "R-right. See you next month mom."

May clapped her hands pointing to her own Poketch. "Gather around everyone. I'll snap a pic!" She said as she took back their bags placing them beside her so they wouldn't ruin the picture.

With the various boats behind them, the sun shining brightly and the calm waters, she called out a; "Hold that smile everyone! Say family!"

Johanna in the middle, Brianna to her left, Dawn to her right and Ash right next of Dawn. All of them holding hands, the brightest grins in their faces, it truly was the perfect picture. Then May waved Ash to the side and took one of Johanna, Dawn and Brianna alone. She called Ash back and told them all to do peace signs. Dawn winked beside Johanna and the next picture was of Brianna and Dawn kissing Johanna's cheek with Ash gawking beside them. The next one was them doing the same to Ash as Johanna pretended to be shocked.

"This is the final boarding call to everyone going to Sinnoh." A voice interrupted them from the loudspeakers. "Guests please make your way over to pier 5."

May snapped one final picture with them hugging before she told Johanna to hurry up.

Ash took Johanna's bag, ready to escort her to the pier port. "Wait for me by the van."He said as he tossed Dawn his keys.

"But we want to wave grandma off!" Brianna said.

"Oh, alright." Ash relented.

May took the keys from Dawn. "I'll wait in the van." She rushed off before Ash began yelling at her.

"May! You better not drive around the parking lot. MAY!"

May stuck out her tongue as she placed all the bags back into her backpack."That's what you would get for ruining my bike. But I'm not that vengeful."

Ash sighed and began waking with Johanna, Brianna and Dawn over to pier 5.

"Yeah, yeah whatever."

May had indeed drove around the parking lot in boredom as she waited for them to come back. It took them half an hour to make it to the parking lot and Brianna opened the door with a sad expression.

"I'll miss her." She said as she stepped in and buckled her seatbelt.

May helped her close the door.

Dawn hopped in next, opening the front door and glancing back. "We'll see her in a month." She tried to smile.

Ash came in last sitting in the driver's seat. "Someone called a taxi service to Pallet Town?" He asked as he fixed the rear view mirror and looked at May.

May who was now busy poking around on her poketch glanced up. "A free taxi service."

"Do you want to walk home?" Ash asked.

"I'll pay you in thank you coupons." May offered.

Ash sighed. "That's the best I'll get huh?" He turned on the van and gave a kiss to Dawn's hand closest to him before he put on his seatbelt and placed his hands to the steering wheel.

Dawn giggled as she put on her seatbelt and then kissed his cheek. "Take us home free taxi."

"Yeah!" Brianna agreed. May already had her seatbelt on and simply went back to her poketch.
