Season: And they said I couldn't post two chspters by next week. HA! When I make promises I keep them. Maybe one more chapter coming sometime between this and next week and then I'm on obligated post surgery bed rest. Can this chapter get a lot of love? It's the longest one I've written in a while lol shortest chapters mean faster updates but since this story is almost over I suppose it doesn't matter much? Well enjoy either way.

Stupidity Does Not Earn You Heaven
by: Season Of Magic
{~}
Dawn was on her third cup of coffee of the day. If you asked her if she had some sort of coffee addiction, the answer would more than likely be yes. But with friends like May, Tracey, Gary why wouldn't you be? Even Zoey was being pretty maddening right now, and she was in another region for Arceus sake!
Drowning the cup's content into her mouth Dawn rested her head on the cold, sweet feeling of the island counter and sighed.
"Why did I make you maid of honor again?" She asked May with a sigh.
"Because," May said with a grin as she pointed the pen she was holding in her hand at her, "I am the closest female person you have around you. And something about me having plenty of free time on my hand."
Dawn closed her eyes, the feeling of a headache would be imminent. "Hmm..." was all she replied as she glanced over to May's poketch, where Zoey's voice was coming from. "And tell me why you're my best friend again?" She asked the woman who was currently in Sinnoh.
Zoey laughed. "Just because you didn't make me maid of honor since I'm in another region (which I mean, rude girl, that hurt,) doesn't mean I'm accepting it. I know why you did it but obviously, who knows you better than I do? May would be toast without my help."
"Are you going to be fighting over the to role?" She asked as she glanced to the coffee machine seeing if the new brew was finished. She was going to need a fourth cup of it...
May was now laughing as well. "We are getting along perfectly fine. We spoke with Melody and Misty. They're okay with what we have planned."
"Which is?" She asked. Did she even want to know?
"Well, it depends on the color scheme you end up choosing, but we decided that we can each have a color that would rise up in tone. Melody and Misty will wear a lighter shade and then Zoey and I will wear a heavier tone and Bri's will be a middle shade, so she can stand in the middle of us girls."
"I'm not sure I follow that plan but alright."
"It's like a gradient of friendship scale but in dress form." Zoey said.
"When you put it that way it sounds mean." Dawn concluded.
"Trust me it'll be great." And your pictures will be amazing!" May said as she circled that part on the paper she was writing on.
"Have you decided on a theme yet?" Zoey asked. "Or a date?"
"The engagement party is next month. Other than that we haven't really decided on anything yet."
"The faster you do, the faster we can actually get to actual planning." May said. "For now these are tentative things. We have to send out invitations soon, but we can't get to that if you don't decide on a theme. Pick one by the end of the week okay? That'll give us plenty of time to send out invitations, so they arrive with plenty of time for people to RSVP."
"I thought engagement party was the theme." Dawn simply said. Yep. She was really going to need that fourth cup of caffeine.
May sighed. "That's what the party is for but it's not the theme. What do you want that day to say?"
"That we're happy and getting married?" Ash said as he walked in eating a apple he had brought from his place. "Wow it's like a war zone in here."
May gave Ash a glare. "If you heard all that then why didn't you speak up sooner? Honestly Ash."
"He's right. We just want the day to go along without mishaps other than that it's fine." Dawn replied.
"Don't come complaining to us when the engagement party is full of weeds and ugly dead flowers everywhere." Zoey said.
"Well, that's not nice." Dawn said with a frown. "Why not have white flowers everywhere?"
"Is that what you want?" May asked.
"Nothing says hey we're getting married like white colors right?" Ash said.
Now May was the one putting her head down on the islands counter. "You two are hopeless."
"So both Zoey and May are the maid of honor? Is it possible to have two?" Gary asked over an hour later. He really did not understand these wedding things.
"Not exactly." Zoey said. "Since I'm still all the way over here in Sinnoh I can't be much help to Dawn, so I'm leaving all that to May. I'm happy Dawn picked her. Im just more of a ... maid of supervisor honor? May can't do everything by herself and she'd go crazy if she had to."
"They just spent an entire hour debating flowers. Flowers!" Dawn exclaimed, as she raised her hands up in defeat. "It's not that deep."
"Each flower has a different meaning!" Zoey said exasperated. "How many more times do I have to say that?"
"I really just spent an hour of my life listening to the difference between a daffodil and a rose." Ash said with a sigh. "This is worse than having to hear Erika talk about girly things back in Celadon."
"Oh, yeah. I heard about that Ashley!" Gary said with a snicker.
"Shut up Gary."
"Do I even want to know?" Dawn asked as she sipped he sixth cup of delicious coffee. She was going to crash badly later but for now she was feeling alive.
"Trust me you don't." Ash said with a wave of his hand.
"I heard this from Brock, so I'm not to sure how accurate it is but apparently Ash got kicked out of Celadon gym because he insulted the perfume and since he needed the badge he, James, Jessie and Meowth decided to play pretend family and so Ash was the daughter. Dress, wig, makeup and everything." Tracey told Dawn. Okay. Maybe he was the only one of the group of friends who made some logical sense to have around.
"Don't remind me how I was the daughter of Team Rocket for a day." Ash mumbled to himself.
Dawn was laughing hysterically, as was May.
"Wait. So when we dressed you up to help that poor guy out... you had already done something like that!?" May was just gone with laughter.
"I can count on one hand the amount of times I've had to do something of the sort." Ash said with a sigh.
"Do tell." Dawn said curiously as she finally settled down.
"I'd rather not. Let's go back to flowers. I think I like Holly because it represents domestic happiness and that's what I think we represent the best."
"A hibiscus is for beauty and that's me." Brianna said as she walked in to get some water. "What? I could hear you all the way out in the living room..."
"A white rose means new beginnings and I like the sound of that. We will be starting a new chapter of our lives after all:" Dawn said.
"We can work with that." May said as she wrote it down.
"But three flowers a bouquet does not make. And we still don't know how many we will need to order." Zoey added.
"Can we do the same for both the wedding and the engagement party? I don't want to look at flowers twice." Ash said.
"Fine." May stated. "Let's see the guest list, and we can work from there I guess."
"My list is quite short. Mom, Zoey, Kenny., Misty and Melody. Add yourself in there. Anyone else I'm missing?"
"What about your other coordinator friends?" Ash asked.
"Nope that's about it."
"Well, that's..." he started to say but then noticed that Gary was behind him giving the stop that. Do not do this to yourself. You're dead hand motion. Ash coughed. "A smaller list is good too."
Gary gave him two thumbs up.
"Who's on your list then?" Dawn asked.
"Mom, Brock, Cilan, Max. Clemont and Eureka. Do I have to invite Iris? I'd rather not. I guess Trip can come if he wants. Mallow and the rest are probably too busy in Alola as Serena is in Kalos. Cynthia might come if asked when she's in a good mood, but she might be too busy. Can't forget Richie but that's if I can even figure out where he is." He shrugged. "Seems like my list is short as well.
"Well if we are inviting people who are our friends, but we don't want to then I guess Barry's in."
"Bianca and Cheren then as well."
"Are we inviting the other gym leaders as well? I don't want them to feel left out."
"Misty's sisters might say no just to spite me and Brock's siblings are a bit much sometimes. His words, not mine. I'm sure we can extend the invitation for Max to his parents as well. So May won't kill us. As for the rest, I'm not sure...?"
May almost wanted to snap her pen. "So whose in and who's out then?"
Ash and Dawn glanced to her. "Everyone." They said in unison.
May was really about to lose it.
"This is why she needs help." Zoey couldn't help but utter. "Alright so on Dawn's side we have Johanna, Brianna, Kenny, Misty, Melody Barry, Professor Rowan, May and myself. Then for Ash's side we have Delia, Professor Oak, Brock, Cilan, Max, Clemont, Eureka, Bianca, Cheren, Richie, Trip, Iris and then an added invite for May and Max's parents."
"Was I really about to forget Professor Rowan!?" Dawn asked with an alarmed voice.
"You're welcome." Zoey said.
"And I was about to forget Professor Oak then again since Gary is coming. WAIT! Why aren't Gary and Tracey in the list?"
May looked to her notes. "Huh you're right."
"Are we next door neighbors or something? Thanks!" Gary huffed.
"Put them on my side since it's shorter." Dawn said.
"But they're my groomsmen."
"And they're my friends."
"They were my friends first."
May threw the pen at them. "It doesn't matter what side they're in. We just don't want to forget anyone. It makes arranging thing easier later."
"Mom, Delia, Brianna, the bridesmaids, the groomsmen, Ash and I are in one table. That makes it easier."
"No you and Ash have to sit alone."
"For the engagement party?"
"Oh no for that one no. I guess we can make a separate table for all of us?"
"Can it be circular, so we can all see each other?" Ash asked.
May picked up her pen. "At this point you can ask for a unicorn, and we'll deliver if it means you two will calm down."
"And this is just the beginning." Zoey said. "I need a drink."
Dawn nodded to that then realized Zoey couldn't see her. "I second that."
"Third." May agreed.
"Let's get wasted!" Brianna said. Everyone stared at her. "Chocolate wasted?"
"You've been watching too much TV." Gary couldn't help but say.
"No more movies for a week." Ash said.
"I start school again in two days. Let me have fun."
"Yeah let her have fun." Dawn said as she glanced to her cup. There was no more coffee. "Can someone refill this for me?"
Ash took the cup and placed it on the sink. "Alright I'm cutting you off."
Dawn pouted.. "If you loved me you wouldn't."
"It's because I love you that I'm doing it. The crash that's coming is inevitable."
"I didn't drink that much caffeine. Maybe like six?"
"It was ten cups." Ash said dryly as he passed her some water and a painkiller. "Here drink this. You're doing that forehead scrunching thing you do when you have a headache. Coffee isn't going to get rid of that."
"How'd you know?" She asked as she took the offered water and pill and gulped it down.
"Again, forehead scrunching thing that you do when you're in pain." He took the cup back when she was finished placing it to the counter and took her hand, lifting her off the chair. "Come on a nap will help with that."
"But the planning?"
"We've been at this for over three hours, and we have a list of guests and flowers. I think that's enough for one day. Besides, I think May might actually kill us if she glares any more at us, and we made Zoey want to day drink. That's enough for a day."
"He's right. If you say I want ivy flowers because it means fidelity one more time I would have thrown you out the window."
"Heliotrope means eternal love and the name is fun to say." Brianna quipped.
May also stood up from the chair and walked over to open the window. "Maybe I'll throw myself out."
Gary calmly walked over and grabbed her arm. "It's not that serious." He pulled her to the door.
Ash who was still holding Dawn's hand, and had pulled her closer to him as they walked, paused to look back to May. "Alright why doesn't everyone go and take a nap? There's plenty of rooms to spare and I'm sure Dawn doesn't mind. Do you? We'll come back and eat dinner peacefully. What does everyone think of pizza?"
"PIZZA!" Brianna screeched.
"Mi casa es su casa." Dawn said with a wave of her hand.
"Gary and I will take the downstairs guest room." Tracey volunteered.
"And pizza sounds fine." Gary agreed. He let go of May when she almost bit his arm.
"I guess I'll take the one next to Bri." May said as she stuck her tongue out at Gary. "That means that you're on the one all the way at the end of the hall Ash."
Dawn pouted and leaned closer to Ash. "No. He's rooming with me. He's mine anyways isn't he?"
May almost rolled her eyes. "I'm not answering that." She looked at Bri, and they both agreed that it wasn't worth it.
"See you at dinner mom and dad." Brianna said as she went to kiss their cheeks.
"Have a good siesta munchkin." Ask said as he ruffled her hair with his free hand, kissing her cheek as well.
"Yeah have a nice nap parrot." Dawn kissed her cheek as well then tugged Ash's hand to keep walking.
"We're going to tease them later about this aren't we?" Gary whispered to May. He has not forgotten she almost bit him but they were the ones who enjoyed teasing the couple.
"We totally are." She whispered back, poking him. "I wasn't actually going to throw myself out the window you know. Besides, the fall wouldn't be that much."
"Impulsive actions lead to injuries and I'd rather avoid a hospital visit if I could."
"Awe! You care!"
"I do not."
Zoey coughed. "Well if everyone is going to sleep I'm going to go get that drink and start on the official guest list. I'll send it over to you later May." Zoey said as she yawned. "On second thought maybe a nap doesn't sound so bad."
"Are you still on a call with May?" Kenny asked. "It's been hours."
"Yeah but we're hanging up now. Say hi and bye."
"Hello everyone. Bye everyone."
"Hey there's my groomsman." Ash said making clicking noises. "How you doing buddy?"
"I'm a what?" Kenny asked.
"Oh yeah I didn't tell you that Ash wanted you to be a groomsman because you and I are besties with his wife. It could also be because I'm a bridesmaid."
"Well that's rather nice of him." Kenny said. "Hey buddy thanks I'm doing good. I don't know if I have a tux that fits me or isn't flashy enough from my coordinator days but sure count me in."
"The engagement party is next month you can wear something less suffocating for that. I'll keep you posted on the wedding when we have something planned."
"Ken-Ken!" Dawn said.
"Dee-Dee! Are you okay? You sound completely out of it."
Dawn giggled. "Might have drank a bit too much coffee but I'm fine."
"Ash buddy I'm sorry to tell you this but your wife is going to go completely hysterical if she doesn't sleep this off. She will have a sugar high worse than a kid on too much candy."
"Excuse me, but I am not a child." Dawn said laughing. "And the last time I had a sugar high was that time before the grand festival Conway and I had that weird drink challenge. Conway! Should invite him to the no wait his hats are too weird. Never mind."
"Dee-Dee that was with Nando."
"Oh yeah you're right. Conway just appears out of nowhere and it's scary! The drink challenge was with Nando!"
"Please don't invite either of them or Wallace." Kenny pleaded.
Dawn frowned. "As if I would." She laughed. "Imagine inviting my rivals to my wedding like Ash doing with Gary. Couldn't be me."
"Should I be worried you know so many guys?" Ash said teasingly.
Dawn poked him. "Should I be worried you know so many females?"
The only female I have eyes for is you." Ash promised with a kiss to her lips. "And Bri."
Dawn kissed him in return. "And I only have eyes for you as well."
"Alright we're hanging up now." Zoey said. "Bye."
May said "Bye!" Pressing her poketch to end the call. "And now I am going to sleep."
Dawn started tugging Ash again.
Gary stared at Tracey. "Did she really just make fun of me and Ash's friendship?"
Tracey pat his shoulder. "Dude you both got roasted."
"OUCH." Gary fake winced.
