Season: First of all; HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL YOU LOVELY AMAZING PEOPLE. Second of all; I want to apologize. I know I said I'd be updating everything by the end of last year to make the deadline before the tenth anniversary but obviously that didn't happen. So it seems you're all stuck with me a while longer. Uhm... you're welcome? Hehe.
Now, I know you're all wondering what is going on and why it's taken this long. Well, life got in the way. I was playing Brilliant Diamond (which is why we see some familiar characters here!) then I had to get ANOTHER surgery and then after that I was sick again and now I soon have to get... GASP what will hopefully my final surgery.
But enough about my issues. You're not here for that. You're here for the story. I think? Hopefully?
I know I promised 50 chapters. And my calculations are still at that. But instead of a wedding two-parter I'm doing a engagement party two-parter and the final chapter will be the wedding! YAY!
Now when will the engagement part 2 and the wedding happen!? Who knows. Because like I said previously... life is going to be hectic again a bit until at least spring.
So thank you once again for sticking by with this story. Without you guys it wouldn't be possible.
Narrator: What she's trying to say is that she sees all the reviews and support you guys give and they give her the will to keep writing. Reviewing means you guys get faster updates and since we only have two more chapters left then get to it people! ;)
Season: Ignore the narrator. Once again, thank you for sticking by the story. See you in the spring!

Stupidity Does Not Earn You Heaven
by: Season Of Magic
{~}
"Alright put the flowers over there." May said as she pointed to one of the tables being set up. It was the table where Dawn, Brianna and Ash were going to sit.
"Which one?" Gary asked grumbling, they all looked the same to him.
"The one with the white, yellow and red alstroemeria!" May exclaimed, pointing at the bouquet. "They go right next to the one with the red rose, white rose and the white daffodils."
Gary would have shrugged, but he was carrying the vase full of flowers, so he grumbled again. "Ash can't say I'm not doing anything for him now."
"Yeah, yeah." May waved him off. "We have more to do so hurry up."
"Not to mention we have to do this again in a month..." Gary uttered under his breath yet again.
"The more you complain the more I give you to do." May stated, waving her folder around.
"I'm the best man I'm not even supposed to be doing any of this." Gary said as he put the bouquet down, fixing the flowers because they were looking a bit crooked.
May hit him with said folder. "And I'm the maid of honor now shut up and go help Tracey fold napkins."
"He's folding them into the shape of a Swanna and I can't do that!" He protested.
"It's quite easy once you get the edges to align." Brianna said, waving a napkin.
"I'm not an artist and I'm not eight." Gary said to May as he took the folder to see what else was missing. He glanced at the checklist, crossed something out and gave the folder back. "Try not to need me."
Brianna blinked as she folded the napkin. "Where are you going?"
"Carrying food out." He said with a wave and pointing to the house.
Ash grinned as he walked past with a tray. "Really? Thanks for the help. Mom is making me do everything since 'I cooked mister you don't expect me to carry it out to do you?' And it's brutal."
Dawn was right behind him, also carrying a tray. "Apparently I'm not helping." She rolled her eyes.
Ash placed his tray down and took Dawn's. "You're not even supposed to be doing anything except look pretty." He said. "That means you as well parrot." He yelled over to Brianna.
"But I already helped Tracey with twelve napkins." Brianna uttered with a pout.
"She did." Tracey said with a nod. "There's still a couple more to go and if it's just me I can't be done in time to help you guys do more things and Bri is surprisingly quite good at it."
"She took origami lessons with Zoey when she was younger. I didn't know she still retained the information." Dawn said.
"Genius, mom, remember? I would have finished faster, but I was busy making these as well..." Brianna said as she lifted up her other masterpieces; a few flowers, a plane and a couple of hearts.
Ash smiled and gave a thumbs up. "They're lovely and I definitely want a flower and a heart at our table."
"Oh to be eight again and have no duties." Gary said as he walked by with a cart of food.
Brianna stuck out her tongue. "Don't worry I'll make you a heart maybe then you'll actually have one."
May wiped a tear from her face from laughing so much. "I can't believe you just said he doesn't have a heart."
"Don't let Samuel hear that." Delia said to her granddaughter as she poked her head out the kitchen back entrance and waved Ash over. "Can you take the dessert to the table next to the fountain without eating them?"
"I'll eat these just as I have eaten the rest of the food I've brought out mom." Ash said with a roll of his eyes. "I do have some restraint you know."
"Who's Samuel?" Brianna asked as she folded yet another napkin.
"My grandfather." Gary mumbled as he helped Ash with the dessert cart Delia had pushed to them.
"I thought his name was Oak."
"Does it look like my name is Oak?"
"Huh... you're right. You remind me more like a crunchy leaf." Brianna said lifting up the napkin to show him said leaf.
Gary raised his hands and pointed. "How did you even do that so quickly!?"
"Magic." Brianna said.
"Zoey said she was the first place holder at every lesson they went to."
"We only went to three of them because they kicked us out of the rest."
"You said you went to five where were you during the other two!?" Dawn asked with a gasp.
"Eating ice cream and shopping." Brianna said with a grin.
"Getting kicked out of places for being the best. That's my girl." Ash said proudly.
"Just wait until she's a trainer and say that again." Gary said.
"Coordinator." Brianna said with a cough passing along another Swanna to Tracey. "And now I'm bored."
Tracey looked over to the pile that Brianna had finished. "I mean you did more than me and I still have ten more to go."
"Godmother to the rescue darling don't worry!" A voice piped in. "I'm here."
Brianna stood up and ran over excitedly. "Zoey!"
"Am I chopped liver!?" Kenny said next to her.
"No I think that would be me actually, Ken-Ken." Johanna stated.
"GRANDMA!"
Brianna hugged all three of them even more excitedly.
"Sorry we're late guys the car we rented broke down on the way over." Professor Rowan said. "Hi Dawn."
Dawn was like a deer ling caught in the headlights, and she simply froze. "H-hello mom, professor, and everyone else." She said after a while.
Zoey laughed and hugged back Brianna then smiled towards her best friend. "Girl you won't believe it first we almost didn't make it to the boat and then when we got here like the professor said our car broke down."
"I told them we had to leave a day early, but they didn't listen." Johanna said with a shake of her head. "We made it and that's all that matters."
"I would have picked you all up." Ash said as he leaned against a table eating a cupcake.
"I have perfect self-restraint mom." Dawn mumbled as she mimicked Ash. "Yeah right."
Ash passed her one. "As you can see I'm taking a break."
"Ash Ketchum!" Delia said as she poked her head out the door again hearing the ruckus then glancing over to the new arrivals. "Oh, Johanna you're here!" She then opened up the door fully.
"That I am. Along with your other guests." Johanna said with a grin as she began to roll her luggage into the house. "Guys in here follow me."
Dawn blinked. "Mom! I thought you were staying with me this time."
Johanna stopped and grinned. "I am." She said with a wink. "The professor is the one staying here andI think Lucas and Barry as well they're around here some...- OH! There they are."
"The audacity to think of not leaving us behind I'll have to fine you." A man with blond hair said finally catching up.
"It took him longer to get the luggage out the car and then I had to help him when it got stuck." The other man said with a sigh. "Hi Dawn!"
Dawn glanced towards Zoey who was mouthing 'you're welcome.' Because she had clearly forgotten about them when making the list of guests.
"Hi Barry, hi Lucas glad you could make it." She waved to them.
"As fellow Poketch holders it's only natural to celebrate each other's achievements." Lucas said with a smile.
"I'm just here because mom said it would be rude if I didn't accept the invitation." Barry said.
Dawn laughed at that and as Ash walked over to them she went to introduce them
"Ash these are—" She began to say but Ash beat her to it.
"—Barry! Lucas!" Ash said stretching his hand out towards them. "Been a while guys."
"Hello Ash. It has hasn't it?" Lucas said wryly shaking his hand.
Dawn was the confused one. "How do you three...—"
"—Know each other? I fined him a thousand coins for almost losing to me, but he was broke." Barry said. "So I took mercy and handed over a thousand five hundred instead." He said as he too shook Ash's hand.
"He's so generous isn't he?" Lucas said with a eye roll.
Dawn laughed. "You CAN make jokes!"
"You should hear the one about the Dialga." Ash said wiping a tear from his eyes from also laughing. "What a classic."
"Palkia was trying to get in contact with his friend, but he didn't have a Poketch, so he couldn't Dialga him." Lucas said humoring Ash.
"There it is!"
"And here I thought you'd know better Lucas." Gary couldn't help but sigh.
Lucas raised his hands in defeat. "If you can't beat 'em join 'em, try it sometime."
"They have me in a hold so strong I can't run away if I wanted to." Gary said. "They'd find me a minute later."
"Not that we'd let you try!" Brianna yelled.
Johanna and Delia poked their heads out the door. "Are we the only sane ones here?"
"Seems like it."
They went back inside.
After Lucas, Barry and Professor Rowan had out their things away and freshened up they went to their table. By that point Professor Oak had made it there alongside Cilan who apologized for Iris, Serena. Clemont and Eureka, saying that they definitely would make it to the wedding the following month. The Professors also apologized for the champions and Ash waved a hand dismissively.
"As long as they don't stand me up for the wedding everything's fine." He joked.
"Right Dawn?"
Dawn raised her hands up in defeat and looked over to Tracey. "Are you sure you can't marry me?"
Tracey laughed. "Once again Dawn, no."
"Lucas? You can pass for Ash if I squint hard enough."
Lucas crossed his arms. "You're talking about the man who caught and then freed three legendarias right in front of my eyes. I can't be that."
"That was our secret bro!" Ash said with a huff. Taking one of Brianna's folded leaf napkins he tossed it to Lucas. "I can't bayleef you'd rat me out like this."
"He did what?" Dawn said mouth agape. "You did what, Ash!?"
Now it was Ash's turn to cross his arms. "That wasn't even the first time I did it."
Brock chimed in. "Can confirm Ash has been doing idiotic things for over eighteen years." He said.
"Remember my bike?" Misty asked. "Or did we forgive him for that?"
"He broke mine too so no we didn't! But he was gone by the time I got it fixed so I just forgot about it until now." May piped in.
"He saved my island." Melody reminded them. "He's not a bad person."
"I didn't know this was expose everything stupid Ash did when he was younger and make his fiancée run away a month before the wedding day." Ash grumbled.
Dawn passed him a red rose. "I'd say it's more Ash's future wife sees what a hero her to-be husband is day." She said with a wink and a kiss to his lips.
"Daughter appreciates her father even more day." Brianna ey chimed in.
Ash's face was redder than a Cherubi's. "I hate all of you so shut up and let's get this started already."
"We love you too Ash!" Everyone said.
