General POV
It's Friday and everyone is getting ready for the listening party. Santana has Marly and Jake decorating the conference room and setting everything up. They hadn't invited many people just those closest to them.
"Okay all we need is some food and we should be good." Dani walks into Santanas office.
Santana is not paying attention she's looking out her window and seems to be distracted by something. Dani walks next to her and looks at what Santana is looking at or rather whom.
"She really is stunning." Dani says
"Yeah she is. Could it be possible to have two soul mates in one life time?" Santana says without turning around.
"I think there's no limit on the amount of soulmates. If you have a connection with someone and it feels right then there's no harm in taking that chance. But I do believe you have one true love in your life time and the rest are just placement holders."
"What do I do Dani? I was okay without Quinn and I had moved on but then she comes back into my life when i least expect it. That night was the last night i would preform a song dedicated to her. She walked away from me and I can't get over it. I would have moved heaven and earth for that girl but she left."
"Look San I can't tell you who to love and who to let back into your life. I honestly think it's your pride that's hurt more than anything but she was also young and scared. You always saw her as strong wilded but Quinn needed you to reassure her also. You both messed up. You got lost in your world and so did she. But now you both are wiser and mature. If you think things with Quinn can work then go for it but remember also that you went after Becky. You courted her and made her feel all this things for you and you can't just drop her like that. You and Becky helped each other heal from both of your past hurt. I think you have been the best version of yourself with both of them. But look at the period of your life that you're in now and if you want them both in your life one will have to be as a friend and the other as your partner. Maybe they're both your soulmates just in different ways."
Dani pats Santana on the back and walks out. It's strange for Santana because she never thought she was worthy of love and she never thought she would love as hard as she does. Quinn was it for her it didn't matter what would happen but a lot changed and if it was't for that night she wouldn't have become the person she is today. Becky helped Santana heal and actually smile again. Either way they both are important to her and she rather get hurt a million times over than hurt bot girls.
From the street view the beautiful woman she's looking at looks up and with a wide smile waves up at Santana and she can't help but smile wildly also and wave back. The woman mouths that she on her way up and Santana smiles and nods. She turns around and heads out of her office to go see the others.
The day passes by rather quickly and the food arrives which they ordered a mixture of chines food and Pizzas. Puck comes in with the drinks and it's all chill. Mr. and Mrs. Lopez arrive with Beckys parents and Danis gf Ashley arrives with a friend. Marley and Jake are talking to Puck and Santana and Becky are laughing at some memes on twitter. They all seems to be having a good time when the door opens and Quinn walks in wearing ripped blue jeans that hug her thighs as butt perfectly, she was a v neck dark green blouse all paired with 2 inch heels. Her hair is parted down the middle and wavy she has light make up on. She walks in with an excited Kurt by her side. Everyone looks at her and Santanas lips form a slight smile. She grabs Beckys hand and walks toward the two that just walked in.
"Hey there." Santana says as she goes to hug Quinn
"Hey back to you. Sorry I didn't know we were late." Quinn says as she reluctantly pulls back.
"Nice to see you again Quinn!" Becky says as she pulls her in for a hug
"Nice to see you too Becky! This is my friends Kurt." Quinn says as she turns introduces Kurt
"Kurt this is Bec-"
"Rebbeca Marie Gomez! I am such a huge fan! You are even more gorgeous in person and soooo talented! It is an honor so be in your presence!" Kurt says while hugging and kissing Beckys hand
"Oh, why thank you... Kurt was it?" Becky is looking around feeling a little overwhelmed. She looks over at Santana who is laughing and Quinn is trying to get Kurt off of her.
"See you haven't changed much porcelain." Santana laughs
"Oh My God Santana! I haven't seen you in years! I've missed you so much! I am so proud of you and I am so sorry for everything! I have kept up with your career and I am also a huge fan of yours!" Kurt says while hugging Santana and grasping onto her like she's going to fade into thin air.
"It's good to see you too Kurt but don't make a big scene please we can catch up." Santana says and she pulls back
Quinn and Kurt go and say hi to everyone else. When they get to the older Lopez's Quinn feels anxious because she hasn't seen them in a long time.
"Hello Dr. & Mrs. Lopez." Quinn says as she extends her hand.
"Please Quinn call us Maribel and Ricardo." Says Maribel as she brings Quinn in for a hug and so does Ricardo.
"How you been mija?" Ricardo asks. Quinn smiles because she always loved being felt like she was part of the family.
"I've been great! I have a job at this amazing law firm here in NY and I've been winning all my cases and i'm just trying to make a name for myself and move up." Quinn says excitingly
"Oh really? That's great to hear Quinn. And I know you've been winning. Your name has come across my table quite a few times. I'm very proud of you mi amor." Maribel says and Quinn feels as if she's on cloud nine. She's really missed the two older Lopez's.
A few more minutes pass by and everyone is talking and having a good time. Santana calls for the attention of the room and they all turn to look at her.
"First of all I would like to thank you all for coming today, I'm sure you all had something lame planned but I made your night better by inviting you all here so for that you're welcome." They all laugh and Santana continues
"This album is something that I've been working on for a few months now and It's something different from what i've released in the past also because it's the first album i colab with another artist that isn't those two back there" She points to the back at Puck and Dani.
"This album is a change in tempo and I am very proud of it and I get to share it with this amazing woman next to me whom i can proudly call one of my greatest friends and a god sent. Thank you Becky for making this a great time and for allowing me to express myself and for being a great listener you mean the world to me. We still have a few more songs to finish up but without any further ado I hope you guys like it."
The light dim and the music starts to play through the speakers. Kurt notices how Quinn stares at Santana longingly and he goes and nudges her. She looks over and he tilts his head as to go speak to Santana. Quinn shakes her head and just takes a seat.
A few songs play and everyone seems to really like them. Santana comes and takes a seat next to Quinn
"What do you think Q?"
"They're really good San. You sound amazing and the lyrics are amazing. I'm very proud of you Santana. You've done it and you keep doing it. I'm very happy for you." Quinn looks at Santana with so much sincerity.
"Thank you Q. It really does mean a lot. All I ever wanted was to make my parents and you proud. To prove that I could do it without help and it happened. But you've done it also Q. You've become this bad ass lawyer and you're making a name for yourself without the help of others. You're an amazing woman Q and even if we weren't a part of each others coming up story, I hope we can be a part of this part of our lives and for the future."
Santana smiles at Quinn and all Quinn can do is smile back and hold back some tears. Quinn loves how Santana has grown and matured she regrets the past so much but she also knows that if her and Santana ever get together they will be unstoppable. The rest of the songs play and everyone applauds Santana and the rest who helped put the album together and Kurt goes up to Santana and asks to speak with her. They walk out for a bit into Santanas office.
"What's up Kurt?" Santana ask a bit curious
"First of all I want to say congratulations on everything Santana if anyone deserves it, it's you. And second I want to apologize for everything that happened years ago. I should have gone after you and made sure you were okay. Puck told us not to worry and then we didn't hear from you again and honestly that has always bothered me. When you went viral with your first single and then dropped your album I knew you had made it and I am very proud of you."
"Thank you Kurt, I am sorry for never reaching out. I figured you all took Quinns side and with that Rachels and honestly I didn't want anything to do with them both for years. I was hurt, mad, disappointed all at once and honestly it was better for you all to not see me at that point in my life. Dani and Puck really did stick by my side and they were some good friends and I owe them everything. But i didn't just make it they did also and they deserve it because they've worked just as hard as me."
"You've really grown a lot Santana. And about the whole taking sides thing I need you to know that I was always on your side. Rachel and I had a huge falling out and she really ruined any chance of her and I ever being friends. She kinda did the same with with Blaine and I she meddled to the point that we broke up but before I left the loft i told her how i felt and how much of a crappy person she is. I knew she had feelings for you but never admitted them. I know for a long time Santana and for that I am really sorry. I should have spoken up but I never thought things would get that crazy." Kurt said with tears in his eyes.
"It's okay Kurt. It's not your fault we were all young and trying to figure our life out. She actually came this week trying to sing with our label. Mami thinks that business wise it would be smart to sign her and at least have her under our control. But I'm not sure, she tried to shift all the blame on Quinn and I lost it. I can't stand her and I don't want her near me." Santana sighs and just put her elbows on her knees and rests her head on her hands
"If it doesn't feel right don't sign her Santana. She is just trying to get near you. She showed up to Quinns apartment trying to play the nice card and ended up telling Quinn that she would get near you somehow and maybe even date you."
Santanas head shot up so fast she almost gave herself whiplash.
"No that bitch is crazy if she thinks she'll ever get that close to me!"
Kurt laughs and puts his hand on her shoulder
"There's Snixs. But don't worry I see the people who love and protect you with everything they have and if you allow me to be a part of your life again, I will gladly do the same." Kurt smiles
"Of course Kurt. I've missed you like crazy and I would love have you back."
The hug it out and head start to head back to the party. Meanwhile Becky had asked Quinn to join her at the rooftop.
Quinn looks around and she can see the other building and hear the cars passing by but it feels calm. There's string lights and a few hammocks hanging up. Theres some patio furniture and a fire place.
"Wow it beautiful up here." Quinn states
"Yeah it is. We usually come up here when we have work to do but also want to escape from everything even if just for a little while. It's taken a lot of negotiating to get it like this." Becky walks around
"Here come sit with me Quinn." Becky sits on a sofa and Quinn does also.
"Let me start by saying that I like you Quinn and you seem like a very nice and fair person. But i also see how you look at Santana and I know you're still in love with her."
"Look Becky i'm not going to interfere in your relationship. Yes I still love Santana but she has made it clear that it's you who she's with and even if it hurts me I'm the one who walked away and i rather have her in my life even if as a friend than not at all." Quinn say rather quickly
"It's fine I get it. What San and I have is new. We were friends first and I too was coming out of a very hard and public heartache. She helped me heal parts of me that I didn't realize were broken and I like to believe that I did the same for her. She has a great heart and when she wrote her first 2 albums I knew those songs were about you and she poured her heart into it all. She's not the player she once was and honestly i'm glad because she was a heart breaker for sure. But i know you will respect us. I don't want any bad blood between us and I want to be able to not feel like there's competition between us. I won't ever fight over someone if Santana wants to be with you I will let her and won't hold her back."
Quinn sits there and she can't believe how grown Becky is acting and mature. If it was the other way around Quinn would be warning the poor girl to stay away from whats hers.
"No, she's with you and I respect that. I want whats best for her and if now that's you then so be it. But if you two were to go your separate ways please know that I will do everything in my power to make her mine once again."
Becky looks at Quinn and smiles. She likes Quinn and she's glad that at least she's honest. For now she has no intention to break up with Santana but that doesn't mean she's going to allow Santana to just walk away. Becky see's a future with the other Latina but she's also not going to force anything.
"Okay. So truths? No fighting and no seeing each other as compensation?" Becky holds out her hand and Quinn takes it.
"Truths. We won't get in each others way and we make good on our word."
The rooftop door opens and everyone steps out and they see both girls there talking. They all spread out and Becky sees Santana looking confused, she waves her over.
"What's going on here?" Santana asks.
"Nothing babe, Quinn and I were just talking and getting to know each other." Becky says as she hold her hand.
"Yeah San don't be paranoid, you have a good one here." Quinn smile.
"Okay. This is a little weird but not bad." Santana states closing her eyes a bit.
The night goes on and little by little people start to leave. Becky goes into the loft to change and head to bed. Dani leaves with Ashley and Kurt and Puck head down to the loft to hangout. Quinn and Santana are the only ones left. Santana is standing but the railing and Quinn joins her.
"It was a great night San. Thank you for inviting me."
"I'm glad you were here Quinn. I didn't realize just how much I missed you till I get to see you and now spend time with you."
Quinn looks over at Santana who is now looking at her also.
"I've missed you since the moment I left San. There was no day that i didn't think about you or that you weren't on my mind." She takes Santanas hands in hers
"San being around you and seeing you had solidify the fact that I still love you more than i did before. I know you're with Becky and I hate to admit that I really like her and she's suck a nice person. But if you two ever break up, I'm going to make you mine."
Santana smiles and rubs her thumb on Quinns knuckles.
"I wouldn't expect less from you Lucy." Santana smiles and kisses Quinn on the cheek.
"But you'll have to quick.. theres a crazy chick out there's trying to win me over and I heard she's on Broadway." Santana elbows Quinn and start laughing
"Not Funny Lopez!" Quinn slaps Santanas arms and they both laugh.
