Moon and sun return chapter 3 their journey
This chapter I will cover episodes 3-5[first half] based on how much time I time I have write
I will have the trio leave the castle and begin on the journey to give back the egg while starting to form connections
I will also do banter from Rayla's and Callum's inner beings
Rayla pov
After I saw the egg, I began to think we could make change. That was until a dark-haired girl came from the stairs. The girl tried to claim her father had the high ground but most of could tell she seemed in the wrong and more so me showing kindness to the brothers. I also saw on Callum escape and say he made sure the black-haired girls named Claudia wouldn't be able to chase use. It was as we ran the young prince looked at both his brother and I. but it wasn't long until shadow wolves began to chase us. But my blades didn't seem to work on them. Callum then came up with the idea to use the primal sphere to make wind and with that he learned he could be a mage. Then shouted out loud until I told him to shush, and we kept on with our journey.
It was after that; I told the boys we needed to go to the roof, but they didn't trust me. but to gain said trust, I told them about my companions coming but they didn't trust me to take the egg yet. I understood why, but I at least got them to agree to let me go. It was on getting to the roof, I got my uncle's attention but the voice in my head said, "he won't listen to you without the egg in hand and I am not sure if that would even work." I then found out the voice was right but when the boys came out and revealed the egg but even that wasn't enough to convince him. so, I had to try and do it the hard way in combat and we both went semitransparent as the voice in my head said, "this is what could let you trigger the awakening, you just need to push further." I tried to change his mind during the battle and as I did the voice said, "you are an idiot, you need to believe you can win." but before I could prove anything else, my uncle escaped. Then the voice said "you likely wouldn't be able to do anything against this man. But once you pushed to the edge truly you will be able to awaken its power." I wondered how much harder I really needed to push after that.
Callum pov
After my brother and I escaped the battle of elves, and I hid him in a pile of straw to go and try to find my stepfather. But trying to meet him only ended up getting stopped by Viren and his son and I tried to accuse him of stealing the egg in the first place. But I only ended up getting captured and then had my voice taken by the Viren and his own magic. They seems to be about to take me, until all the lights went out and the other elves attacked and my voice ended up being freed as tried to stay out of the combat and the voice in my head said "avoid combat, without proper lessons you aren't even close to be ready to wake up the one within." Then as I heard my brother's voice, I knew I just had to run away.
Rayla pov
After I knew I couldn't catch my uncle in time, I went for Callum and Ezra and learned he was right in the place of the main attack, and I hoped he would be okay. Then the voice in my head said to me "the worst case would be the one within him forcefully wakes up and something very bad happens." I asked the voice "how bad could it be?" the voice said, "this entire castle destroyed bad." But thankfully, Callum escaped the tower just in time and after that, instead of trying to stop the other elves, he decided to leave and try get the egg to its mother. Then it was after that, I saw a red bird flying as one of the bands on my wrist came off and I knew the king had to be dead.
It wasn't long after that, I made it to a clearing and the brothers soon passed out while I made watch. I then tried to get the other binding off but the ever-present voice in my head said "your target would need to die for it to come off. But he wouldn't need to die for good." I then then wondered how somebody could die and wouldn't have to stay dead. I wasn't taught any way to bring the dead back and I wasn't sure if Callum knew a way either. But I didn't know how good he was at magic. The voice in my head said to me "the other has the potential to be good but neither of you have even come close to the strongest you could be."
Callum pov
it was the next morning, I woke up and started to draw the orb and then talked to the elf girl with me as she told me about magic and how it is connected to the six primal sources. After that, I tried to convince her to go to the lodge. But she said it would be full of humans, but I was sure it would be empty and then told her there would be no humans there. It was after that I won her over by telling her about my use of magic and how it made me feel better. Then after that the voice in my head spoke to me and said "it isn't that you are bad it is mostly you have had bad teachers. If you had a teacher with the time to really teach you, you could bloom."
It was after that; my brother woke up and told me about a weird dream as we got on the move to the lodge. It wasn't long before closing in on the lodge, my brother was thirsty, so Rayla offered a red drink that I thought was blood, but the elf girl said was just berry juice. After that she was unhappy that I thought she drank blood. It was after that, I sent her into the lodge to look for the cube that may hold the secret to magic. It wasn't long after she went in our aunt and her soldiers arrived.
Rayla pov
It was after feeling hurt for the blood comment, I went into the building to look for the special cube and maybe food. It took me a few seconds, but I discovered the easiest route in through a window. It was soon after that, I heard shouts from Callum and discovered he didn't think guests might have arrived either. I then had to sneak around until I found the cube. But not long after finding it, a woman with a shield attacked me and I had to try and avoid but her large shield provided a defense I couldn't pierce. I ended up caught and knocked out as I heard the princes were free to help me escape later.
When I came to, I learned the woman I fought was def and she had to talk to me through another person. That person asked how many elves were with me as the voice in my head said, "you came close but you still don't have the drive to draw on its power."
Callum pov
While I was trying to distract my aunt, we learned the food wasn't really edible and not long after that, she went after Rayla, and we had to break away from her. Then after that, we had to use bait to give Rayla the chance to escape from my aunt's soldiers. It worked and we got out but only to be caught by my aunt and I had to come up with way for us to get out without revealing the egg. I had to use the dirty things humans said about elves to help us get away in a boat. I knew the trick wasn't nice to my elf friend, but I knew I would have made it up to her later and if we met my aunt in more peaceful times, I would explain things to my aunt.
It was on said boat, the voice in my head began to tell me "Watch out for the actions of that mage Viren. He seems to want more power and has the magic to do so. I don't know what he will do or what forces he will dabble into to get what he wants. He already took your voice and might be able to take more." then after that, we slept until the morning while I looked over the cube. Then through studying it, I noticed the cube would light up on various sides in connection Bait and Rayla. Then Rayla said "it was just a toy." But I had a feeling it had a bigger purpose." It was after that Rayla walked away and I only had to guess it involved girl stuff.
Rayla pov
It was after I left for some alone time, the voice in my head said to me "that female knight could be more helpful than you know. She would keep the dark mage under control, but we will have to wait and see what happens." It was while he talked, I tried to get the binding off my arm, but the voice said "it won't break unless one of three things happens: the little brother dies even for a short time, the egg hatches and decides to break it or you wake the power within and break it yourself. But as of now don't bother." I then asked the voice "how can I kill the boy in a way he can come back?" but it just said, "we will go down that hill when we get to that point."
It wasn't long after I finished basic care, I heard Callum call for help and then found him caught in an incomplete spell. He tried to figure the spell out and ended up releasing it by tossing the orb to me. I ended up getting a shock that made my hair stand on end.
It was after that, I said we had to leave and by foot, but Callum suggested with his brother's short legs, going by boat would be better. But I was scared to take it. But after talking about fear, I ended up deciding to try the boat.
Callum pov
It was during the first part of our boat ride I told Rayla "my aunt could help protect my father and even keep things in the castle under control and maybe later I could convince her you aren't a bad person." It was after that, I told her how bait got his name and then asked her about Xadia and a few other questions until we hit rapids and I knew we would have to find a way to escape them.
Chapter end
I had to cut this chapter off early due to life stuff. But will try to do at least another 2 and a half episodes for the next chapter
But for that we will see how the pair escapes the river and has to duel with issues in the mountains
But first I will start a new story about a slightly different Shirou in a world were the age of gods never ended and his birth mother's blood turns him into a her that has to help keep all kinds of gods under control
